Just picked this up this last weekend at the perfume house in Oregon, I also picked up Egypt. Love them both, but this one really stole my heart. It’s minty, on my skin the birch really comes thru And definitely aromatic I can see how my dad would think it smells like cool water, but to me you get a lot of aromatic notes and birch lasted about 6-7 hours on my skin before it was completely gone. It’s cold right now in LA so this probably would be really good in the summer overall 8.5/10 for me

Cap d'Antibes is a modern men’s classic fougere, as I get spicy shaving foam with ferny lavender and dusty oakmoss. It’s a powdery, fuzzy, green, spicy, clean, woody aromatic that’s like Declaration meets Cool Water. It leasts quite well at about 6 hours.

When I try a fragrance, I do so with a desire for it to suprise me or intrigue me in a pleasant way. Cap D'Antibes disappointingly did neither. It wasn't terrible, just very unremarkable. I think the birch note stood out, just not in a pleasant way.

So 2025 version of original (should be different and dare I say, a better composition) This bottle doesn't have the ridges like on the other new bottles? Hmmm lots of curve balls here. We sha'll see

I spoke to retail agent for E&B earlier today and they conform no reformulation, just a new bottle design and double the price! Perhaps the new bottle is venetian crystal?
