Le Geste d'Edmond

Smells amazing to me it comes off as a cinnamon gum but with tea if that’s imaginable , it’s mostly cinnamon and clove and it could come off as harsh but to some I don’t think so, it’s a good autumn fragrance and it’s dry down it great just not its price tag :(

I died and went into spicy gourmand heaven! 🤤 Lots of cloves and cinnamon dripping in dark sweetness, ginger at the top rounds the composition. Very expensive though but incredibly smelling and perfectly unisex ❤️

Oh my!!! Smells fantastic! So creamy kind of fluffy but super smooth. Very elegant!!! The notes are blended so seamlessly. No harshness or spiciness, just a creamy smooth blend and I love.

Found this today in a cool hole in the wall shop down in NOLA. First opportunity to try Eight & Bob. With the initial blast, I certainly get the cinnamon and bourbon vanilla. A bit on the sweet side but not too much that I wouldn't wear it. I actually applied it to my skin and went about my day. Lasted for several hours with moderate projection. Very linear. Stayed the same all the way through. At first it gave me pause on wanting it. Then after a day of wear, the choice was easy. It was a simple "no" for me. I am glad I was able to try it. Price point is high for what it offers.

Tried this today. Scent is very pleasant but very liner with not much development. Longevity is not that good and it is definitely not worth the price point.

Attention: A Hidden Gem! There was a point in time when all of the fragrances in Eight & Bob’s higher-end Les Extraits collection were on clearance online. I took the opportunity and added all except Agneta to my collection, and I do regret not getting that one too—although still to this day I haven’t smelled it. Why do I regret, you might ask? Everything that I got was incredibly smooth and sophisticated, going in different directions, and Le Geste D’Edmond is no exception. Don’t be fooled by Tobacco Vanille comparisons—indeed it’s heavy on vanilla and also a mystery tobacco (it’s not even listed in the official note breakdown), but that’s where the similarities end. Le Geste D’Edmond is beautiful; it’s very sweet and ultra-elegant. Upon the first spray, I get a huge blast of ginger, which quickly settles into a vanilla-focused base with prominent leafy tobacco. It’s very unisex, like right in the middle, and also quite versatile—it can be really great during the day since it’s not cloying and quite fresh, but you can dress this up for a sophisticated night out. I can’t think of someone who wouldn’t like this fragrance. I am really curious what gives that beautiful tobacco note in this fragrance; it’s ultra-realistic, leafy, greenish tobacco—the kind that you can smell when you open an expensive can of pipe tobacco. Speaking about the collection as a whole, both Guethary and La Musique De Christie are worth checking out as well. I absolutely love the presentation and custom-made bottles with beautiful caps. Truly a joy to have this on my shelf. I really wish that companies like Eight & Bob would acknowledge the people who create these spectacular fragrances; those people are the artists and deserve the recognition. This collection uses a lot of proprietary Symrise components, so I’m guessing the perfumer is associated with Symrise. I highly recommend Le Geste D’Edmond, even as a blind buy.

I suspect this depends on the wearer....On me it's not as cloying as tobacco vanille and a bit sweeter and has a airy quality to it which TV or at least pre2020 TV did not. It's also different to royal bourbon (which I also love...but which is heavier / thicker)...this is the spring equivalent of those two. On me it also projects and lasts pretty well (as well as anything does on me haha).
