Nuit de Megeve

Nuit de Megève is a quiet but nicely-composed aromatic scent, the most unisex of the Eight & Bob scents I've tried so far. It is deceptively complex - fresh yet smoky; airy yet dark; soft yet quietly strong; woody and spicy, yet with powdery florals - yet manages to be totally cohesive. Notably, it features a well-placed coffee note - I find that perfumers in general seem to struggle to know how to use coffee in their creations, despite its universally appealing aroma. NdM is a great example of a subtle-but-excellent use of coffee in a scent. Aside from the coffee note, NdM is a woody-spicy scent with a bright, citrus-y opening. Despite the name, it feels more like a daytime scent to me. NdM opens with a bright, juicy grapefruit note - an underrated citrus note in perfumery in my opinion. Tart and fresh but brighter and sweeter than the more commonly-used bergamot, it is a lovely opener here. Petitgrain enhances the citrus opening with fresh, green woodiness, paving the way to the dry, woody vetiver that dominates the second half of this scent. Soft, peppery spice is evident at the opening. As it develops, the aforementioned coffee note comes to the fore, aromatic, slightly spicy, blending in beautifully with the powdery orris in the background. The coumarin ties it all together in a smooth, softly-spicy bundle, and the soft woody notes (that really come to the fore during the drydown stage) complement it beautifully. The grapefruit has mostly subsided by this stage, but a hint of slightly sweet citrus remains. It is an unusual, almost-gourmand twist without the usual sweetness. The drydown is mostly a soft, smoky vetiver accord, dark and dry, but smooth and made well-rounded by the tonka bean-orris-coffee heart accord that persists, but fades to the background by this point. The vetiver in particular is showcased nicely here - grassy, woody and high-quality. It feels like Haitian vetiver to my nose. Sillage and longevity are moderate - I feel that the performance is perfectly average here, despite complaints in some reviews below. It is a transeasonal, unisex scent. Nuanced and interesting, NdM is an creative take on a vetiver scent. Low-key but remarkable, it is a "quiet luxury" scent (to use a current buzzword). Another excellent scent from a consistently impressive brand. 4.5/5.

To be honest, it’s rare for a fragrance to "wow" me like this from the very first spray. Nuit de Megeve isn’t one of those scents that attacks a room; it is the absolute definition of gentle yet dominant luxury. When I put it on, I feel incredibly refined as if I’m wearing an invisible, custom-tailored suit. What I love most is its clarity. It has this vibe of crisp mountain air mixed with warm vetiver and a hint of tobacco, but everything is so balanced and "expensive." Nuit de Megève is more than a fragrance; it’s a moment frozen in time. Every time I wear it, I feel like I’m stepping through a black-and-white film from the 1930s. It opens fresh and sharp, like a cold wind hitting your face as you enter a warm mountain lodge, only to transform into the most beautiful embrace of vetiver and roasted coffee. There’s something melancholic yet incredibly sophisticated about it. It smells like fireside conversations that last until dawn and promises made only under the starry Alpine sky. If you want a scent with a soul and a story, this is your signature."I would like it to last longer."

The initial smell is somewhat nutty and I consider it so-so. It changes a lot in the first ten minutes on skin, however. The main scent profile starts to develop after that, and I get a soapy green-brown woody coffee bean meets tonka. Vetiver follows but it takes a bit longer to arrive. The vetiver becomes apparent (and may even be the star) but it never becomes overly dominant or sharp. It is subtly sweet but it never feels cloying or gourmand considering the sweetness is so intrinsically blended with the earthy facets of this fragrance. It is on the darker side but there is something holding it back from going true Encre Noire jet black. It is unique in that it is both fresh and dark simultaneously (and actually pulls that off). I can see this being spring, fall, and winter appropriate. I enjoy this a lot. Dark, slightly soapy, slightly sweet (but never vanillic sweet), woody and earthy. It isn’t a showcase of any one note, in my opinion. Rather, it is a well judged concoction of several nuanced ideas. I recommend a sample because it is one of my favorites. 9.4/10

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ بینهایت شیک و مردونه و موقر و امروزی. وتیور برای من همیشه تداعی کننده بوی ی مرد شیک‌پوش و مرتب رو داره این ادکلن ایت اند باب هم همین فضای شیک و کت و شلواری و رسمی رو داره . مردی که حتما پیراهن سفید به تن داره . این وتیور خیلی لامصبه همیشه می‌ره زیر پوست و جزیی از بوی تن میشه . چیز مصنوعی و زننده ای رو آدم نمیشه .هیچوقت بوی تهاجمی یا فانتزی نبوده و نیست . شروع ادکلن با بوی تند و تیز وتیور + پتی گرین آغاز میشه . شروعی در نهایت کیفیت و جذابیت و مردانگی . تو قلب عطر کمی بوی قهوه میاد بالا ولی گذراست . ترکیب قوی وتیور و پتی گرین اجازه خودنمایی به دیگر ترکیبات رو نمی‌ده . ولی بوی میخک ادویه و موسک کار خودشون رو میکنند و فضای کلی رو از حس لخت و سبز و اروماتیک خارج میکنند و بوی عطر رو به کمال میرسونند . فضای کلی ادکلن همینه بوی غالب وتیور + پتی گرین . خیلی سبز و صابونی و هارش نیست. همه چی توش کنترل شده و زیباست. واقعا بوی ی پرزیدنت میده👌 اگر نگران بوی صابونی و حمام هستید . باید بگم اصلا اینطور نیست ... عاشقش شدم ❤️ .

Wow, this is a super realistic vetiver! It smells so much like the goey vetiver eo I have small bottle of and I love it. The other notes rounds it off perfectly and cancel out a bit of natural sharpness of the vetiver. A touch of sweetness. I think this is gorgous! It is not super strong and I prefer it that way. I'm a woman and I would gladly wear this alone, but also layered with other perfumes (like nubica from le couvent maison). I have another scent from this brand that I am super impressed with and that has the same "simple" structure as this one, with a very few dominating notes. (Annicke 5) As someone with an extensive warderobe I really appreciate the beauty of simplicity when it is well executed, and also because these perfumes are great for layering

The ultimate signature scent. I'm Mr. Nuit de Megeve. It took some time for me to fall in love, but now I love it and it loves me. At first I liked this fragrance because it solved a problem for me. I was looking for an office fragrance, and there was nothing that I liked. Everything smelled either cheap, too sweet, too tobacco, too boozy, too strong, or too spicy, or too powdery, too transparent and so on. Until I found this one. I got my hands on a decant and our romance began. It had the perfect balance: Elegant, versatile, likeable, perfect for office, romantic nights, etc. I bought the full bottle only a couple of days later. It's a totally hidden gem, that works perfectly with a grey sweater. 8.9/10

I will definitely buy a full bottle of this. I had a 2 ml sample, and it's so unique yet absolutely fantastic. I love this! Update, I bought full bottle, but sold it. Decent longevity, but skin becomes skinscent in seconds... Update vol. 2, I bought it back because I missed it so much, I have realised that for me smell and feeling are more important than longevity and sillage. This makes me feel warm and the second I smell it it reminds me of autumn, winter and even rainy days. Recommend it so much, even do I am tempted to gatekeep it:)

I find it very interesting that the primary complaints about this scent are projection and performance, as I think both are excellent. Lasts all day and then some for me, and is strong enough I often do one spray under clothing and it still seems a bit strong. It is a softer, more complex and sophistocated version of encre noir, to me. I get a powdery dry woody scent that I absolutely love. Sexy and cozy scent, I often wear this one just for me around the house or before bed.

The exact middle point between Dior Vetiver (but not as richly nuanced) and Bal d'Afrique (not as citrusy). Which, frankly, is an excellent place to be! Ah, if only the sillage and projection were better. Points off for that. This is currently the best alternative for the nearly-unobtanium Dior Vetiver. Excellent price when taking that under consideration. Spray liberally and smell fantastic. Grade: A- Quick take: Dior d'Afrique

unusual. sophisticated. dark. green. creamy. divine. Vetiver and Coffee - that's what you get. There are also lovely moments of tobacco, clove, and petitgrain. The orris is subtle and provides some creaminess and additional earthiness. This perfume is like the smell of a liberal arts college library at finals: woody, smokey, inky, papery, serious, restrained... and with lots of coffee. 5/5

I own Penhaligon's Endymion, as well as Byredo's Bal D'Afrique....and in some ways this almost a blend of the two creating a beautiful, sexy fragrance that is completely underrated. If you are looking for a signature scent - something fresh but with some depth and an element of sexiness, this is it. I love this fragrance and need to wear it more often.

I had some different types of vetiver in my collection (Terre, Grey Vetiver, Dunhill Icon, Bal D'afrique, Vetiver Extraordinary and Sycomore). However, this scent from Eight & Bob is absolutely gorgeous. Maybe it's my best vetiver fragrance ever. It's just simply a balance of all factors. Love it. Must try even if that's a blind buy.

This is one of my all time favorite vetiver fragrances. Very classy but can be worn casually as well. I've never worn this without recieving multiple compliments. Vetiver coffee and tonka and last a good 6 hrs plus til the next day on clothing. Also great for those who thi k they don't like vetiver.

Gorgeous scent, it's citrusy and sweet at the opening and turns softer at the dry down. I've had Bal D'Afrique and they are very similar, pretty much the same. Too bad this one has the same terrible lasting power as Byredo, at least Nuit de Megeve is cheaper.

Great fragrance. lots of notes going on while still being very clear and well rounded the clove, tonka, coffee, vetiver, and tobacco make for a very great scent without being too deep or strong Criminally underated, signauture scent worthy

The fragrance is absolutely amazing, very "rich" and beautiful. I have a limited Rolls-Royce/Bentley edition. The pyramid is obviously very approximate - I'm a perfumer myself and have these ingredients, they "sound" absolutely different.

This fragrance, at a whiff, reminds me of Vetiver Tonka, but it is so much more. The performance is incredible on my skin and I must honestly admit I'm really shocked at just how many people go simply gaga over this. Highly recommended.

Nuit De Megeve is insanely good! A very smooth and unique take on Vetiver. Classy and grown but still mysterious and sexy! As soon as I sampled it I had to buy a full bottle, it's that good!

It’s funny to me this leans more unisex, could be enjoyed by women and men alike. This is like a more complex, more dark “Replica Jazz Club” with a much stronger pipe tobacco note.

I really like it but it doesn't last at all on my wrist, 5 minutes later and I have to put my nose on my arm to feel it. But still a great scent.

currently in my top 3, this is a great scent and if you close your eyes it smells like bal d'afrique by byredo.

I can not emphasize enough the dominating darkness and magnetism of smoky vetiver and tonka being situated next to the combination of dark roast coffee with earthy powdered suede , nuit de megeve smells ataraxic , sedative and addictive, the coumarin starts to solo so it prevents the other ingredients from expression of existence, coumarin is exposing strong lactone structure that suppresses the vibrancy of tobacco... fantastic stuff with synthetic vibes , longevity is awesome and projection is not monstrous 7.5/10 چه کسی می تونه ادعا کنه که ترکیب وتیور و تونکا به خصوص وقتی دست روی جنبه های تاریکشون گذاشته می شه مسخ کننده نیست ، فضایی که ایجاد می کنند شدیدا اعتیاد آور ، تسکین دهنده ، مگنتیک و گیراست ، حالا در کنار اینها قهوه دارک رست و فضای تلخ جوهری خاکی پودری و تنباکویی رو تصور کنین که همگی دست به دست هم داده باشند تا شدت گیرایی این عطر هر شخصی رو که از کنارتون گذر می کنه تحت تأثیر قرار بده... تونکا نوت مورد علاقه ام نیست به خصوص اگر کنار نوت هایی مثل وانیل و مشک و لاوندر ساختمانی کلاسیک و فوژه رو رقم بزنه و یا در یه کاره اورینتال و شیرین و گورماند فضایی اشباع شده و پر تراکم و خسته کننده ایجاد کنه ، درسته که اینجا چیدمان اسپایسی چوبی با حضور فلفل و ادویه میخک و وتیور اسموکی و تاریک در بدنه ای مشکی پودری و همچنین غلیظ با دوز بالایی از کومارین به فوژه ای نسبتا کلاسیک نزدیک می شه اما ابعاد مدرن و بسیار جذابی داره که من رو هم حتی وسوسه می کنه به مرور فضای عطر به همراه پچولی و وتیور کمی سبز تر ، خیس تر و تازه تر می شه و بعد از گذشت مدت زمانی کوتاه از عمر نویی دو موژو با تنباکویی خشک و گیاهی روبرو می شویم که تازه متولد شده و باید منتظر قد کشیدنش باشیم اما انتظار بی فایده ست و در بیس فضا مشکی و چوبی تر و پودری تر و لاکتونی شده و همچنان که وتیور بر حضور نمکین و صابونی خودش اصرار داره کومارین تنباکو رو در نطفه خفه می کنه ، می دونیم که ترکیب گیاهی اسپایسیه تنباکو و کومارین از آکوردهای بسیار رایج ، برای ایجاد رایحه ای بسیار متداول از تنباکوی معطر هست ، اما اینجا دوز بالای تونکا اجازه خودنمایی بیشتر به تنباکو نمی ده و از پرده آغازین تا پایان نمایش تنباکو رو تحت سلطه ی خود قرار داده ، از این نظر با رایحه ای بسیار خطی روبرو هستیم ، نمونه چنین اتفاقی رو‌ می تونیم در نویت‌ دوحا استفان هامبرت مشاهده کنیم که غلظت بالای کومارین و وانیل ، تنباکو رو کاملا به حاشیه برده... مجموع روایح مرکباتی ، اسپایسی و وتیوریه نویی دو موژو به هیچ وجه شباهتی به تق هرمس نداره و اگرچه شباهت هایی با وتیور تونکا (با این تفاوت که هرمس با کیفیت تره و به جنبه های گورماند و لاکتونی تونکا بهای بیشتری داده) و یا کویغ وتیور ایوروشه (با رایحه ای تازه تر چوبی تر خاکی تر روشن تر و طبیعی تر) و اندکی شباهت به وتیور فیتال آتلیه کلون و بعضی فوژه های کلاسیک داره اما به نظر من وتیور و تونکای ایت & باب تاریک تر ، شیک تر ، پودری تر و از نظر گیرایی یک سر و گردن بالاتر از عطرهای مشابه هست و تستش به دوست داران وتیور حتما توصیه می شه ، عطر قدرتمندیه از پخش مناسب و ماندگاری خوبی برخورداره و بدون اینکه به گونه ای ناهنجار و هارش وجودش رو جار بزنه سنگینی حضورش برای اطرافیان محسوسه ، کاری می کنه احساس زیادی بودن بهتون دست بده ، زیادی بودنی از جنس تهوع آوره سارتر گونه ، چنان زیادی‌که گویی در نقطه ی ثقل وجود هستین ، با این عطر احساسی متفاوت از وجود داشتن و برهنگی رو تجربه خواهید کرد ، ولی آیا این جاذبه ی وجود به مرحله ای از ادراک می رسه که شما رو فارغ از کنش ها و واکنش ها حتی برای لحظاتی چند از خویش و دنیایی که شما رو فرا گرفته جدا و رها کنه؟ در نویی دو موژو کفه ی ترازو به سمت رایحه ای سنتتیک‌ سنگینی می کنه ، برای استفاده در هوای خنک ترجیح داره ولی تقریبا چهارفصله و به عنوان عطر امضا هم می شه بهش فکر کرد 7/5 از 10

So I'm reviewing this one again after several months because my opinion has drastically changed. So when I first reviewed this I was under the impression that this is more of a nutty gourmand fragrance with woody and tart facets (that's how it was presented to me by the lady at the store), so my perspective was definitely skewed. Applying it again today having completely forgotten about it I realized this is actually a woody fougere with a stellar inky rooty vetiver along the lines of Chanel Sycomore or Encre Noir EDT, but paired with a beautiful orris butter accord, warm spice and plenty of smoky tobacco underneath. I also get a clear leather note in there too. So the opening is still a bit abrasive, rough petitgrain, tart citrus zest, and a lot of cloves with a smokiness adding darkness and grit, but this fragrance quickly changes tone when you give it time to evolve. Within about 10 minutes the orris butter starts developing, together with creamy coffee facets and tonka. Vetiver notoriously has spicy almost licorice like facets, which start surfacing too and then comes the fantastic dry down. So the dry down for me is 60% Sycomore-like vetiver, 40% milky cappuccino and a light puff of tobacco smoke, not so much cuban cigar or pipe tobacco, but rather the smell of lit rolling tobacco. Beautifully dark, woody, warm, elegant and a touch retro, easily one of my favorite vetiver scents at the moment, great for the colder months, but also dry and clean enough to be worn year round. This also comes in a very convenient 30ml bottle for the collectors among us. P.s. I just bought a full 100ml of this, so I am left with a 99% full 30ml, if anyone is interested let me know (EU only). SOLD

از بین صدها کاری که اکنون دارم و بالای هزار کاری که داشته ام این کار در کنار تام فورد گری وتیور وگرلن وتیور قدیمی جزو پربازخوردترین کارهایی بوده اند که هر کسی از هر قشر و سبک زندگی دوست داشته است. راستش گرلن وتیور کمتر از این کار و تام فورد گری وتیور محبوب بوده گرچه اولا من گرلن رو از هردوی مقوه و گری وتیور بمراتب بیشتر دوست دارم و نیز تاکید دارم ایت اند باب مقوه کپی از گرلن وتیور و گری وتیور که درعین حال سیاق و کاراکتر مستقل خودش هم داره یعنی مثلا همانطور که تام فورد گری وتیور برای ما با اون شروع طوفانی از زیباترین لیموترش آبدار شروع میشه درحالیکه نه گرلن و نه ایت اند باب چنین شروعی ندارند, نکته شباهت هرسه همان بر داشت و ارائه وتیور است که البته بازم مقوه کم و بیش به تام فورد نزدیکتره توی وتیورش. حالا به هرحال گرچه هرسه کار برای من اصلا جزو پنجاه کار اول هم قرار نمی گیرند-خاصه مقوه و گری وتیور که شاید تو صدتای اول محبوب های من نباشند-اما خواستم بگم به عنوان کارهای روزانه جدی پربازخورد فصل های بهار پاییز و تابستون و حتی روزهای نه خیلی سرد زمستون این ایت اند باب مقوه یه شاهکار است که محال کسی ازش خوشش نیاد. ماندگاری عالی داره و پخش بسیارخوب فضای دارک وتیوری شبیه وتیور در تام فورد و گرلن قدیمی و اندکی لیمو همراهی اش میکنه که خوب نقش بالانس داره تا مستقل

Nuit de Megeve walks the line between provocative and sober vetiver, a curious iris/tonka blend creating a semi-sweet, powdery vetiver experience that is fresh yet deep and rich as well. Stylistically, it's a curious use of vetiver, not particularly dirty, but rather, quite sophisticated, yet odd enough to seem unhinged at times. I don't specifically get tobacco or clove but rather, some blend of the two, slightly dirty, spicy, even green. It vacillates between bright and dark but in that respect it's a good four-season fragrance. Performance is decent but as with most of the fragrances in the line, the obstacle is pricing, in which the standard bottle price of $175 for 100ml feels a tad much for what one is getting. Nuit stands out as perhaps the most sophisticated, formal offering of the lot, and perhaps the single scent (Egypt also, maybe) that transitions best from day to nighttime wearing. 7 out of 10

Dark woods, tonka and vetiver. Supposedly, Nuit de Megéve is inspired by a night of loving in a Megéve ski resort and should capture that encounter through the smells of wood burning in the fireplace and mountain air. The burning wood is there all right, combined with coffee, a smooth vetiver mixed with the warmth of tonka beans, a nutty sandalwood and closing on notes of tobacco and musk. The idea of using a fictitious story for a created scent, works surprisingly well here : you can imagine a cabin in the mountains, you recognize the fireplace by the smoky notes, a hot cup of coffee and a pipe of tobacco. Overall, Nuit de Megéve is very cozy and comfortable and will fit just nicely on a fall or winter’s night. Somewhere in the vicinity of Vetiver Tonka and Bal d’Afrique, but not as heavy or lipsticky as these. It may be oriental, but the vetiver still lends it some Woody Aromatic facets. Good one.

This is a very sophisticated and slightly mature fragrance, but at the same time it's comforting as well. The fragrance opens with a burst of grapefruit, light spices, and a well noticeable and realistic dry leaf tobacco note, together with some tonka bean to sweeten it up a bit. In the mid the tonka and orris root become more prominent and at this moment the fragrance is at it's peak of loveliness for me. Towards the dry down the fragrance becomes more and more dominated by the vetiver note and it starts to remind me of other fragrances with a vetiver base such as Encre Noir. I gave it three sprays, and the longevity is 5-6 hours with around 2 hours projection. I'll give it a solid 8.5/10. Blind bought a 30 ml travel size bottle and I am happy with the purchase.

Me testing blinding: "I smelled this before! Long time ago hmm. This smells really nice. Something almond-y but not as powdery; very nutty. Super nice..." then as soon as the note list was revealed it hit me right away - Herme's Vetiver Tonka, sampled in 2015. To me this smells 90% like Vetiver Tonka if not more. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one picking this up. I love that Hermes so naturally Nuit de Megeve smells very attractive to me. This perfume does seem to leap to the dry down of Hermes directly, in that the sweetness from tonka is toned down a bit and appears less cloying. The overall projection is more subdued. A minus on originality, but big plus on affordability for fans that adore VT.

Definitely reminds me of the earthy, swampy type of fragrances like Encre Noir. It was heavily complimented for me as it gives off that dominating, masculine vibe given the notes it contains and the way it works. As I began with saying it's earthy, the stars are the vetiver ( it's the darker heavier form ) Tobacco & Coffee/Musk. This is what you will smell overall... and I saw someone say it doesn't last long? This thing is a beast for me. It's best fit for the cool/colder weather like Fall & Winter. Worthy of a try, for me, not a buy personally, compliments and all, It's not unique enough to justify the price for it.

A pithy grapefruit with a sort of laundry-fresh aldehydic sparkle. Dry, crisp, clean with little bits of spice and sweets and greens for flavor. Very musky in the end, with all the other notes never playing much more than a minor supporting role. It picks up a slight nuttiness as it dries down, leaning in a gourmand direction. Moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr. Like a spray powder, it has elements of both effervescence and dryness to it. The drydown kinda reminds me of Fat Electrician? In that creamy musky gourmandish vetiver sort of way.

If someone knows something similar with better performances I d like to know! Really sensual scent. This perfume in a nutshell : a leather jacket that has the last late night out smell stick on it, tobacco and classy cologne. I know there is no leather in it but I can't help it that's what I get. This is really good and warm. As the scent dries, the musky, ambery notes come up to give this sweet cozy classy mood. Gorgeous ! Unfortunately, the performances are too low in my opinion.

The storytelling behind this perfume actually in someway mislead my vision and use of it. For me it doesn't really fit as a nighttime romantic fragrance, it lacks of something for my taste. So, I realized that on the past 2 years I practically didn't wear it. But recently I started reach for it for a daytime work scent and it's perfect. The performance is balanced, is pretty stylish and calming. It ́s a moderne, sweeter take on vetiver classics.

PerfumedParrot is spot on just below. This one is really enjoyable on brisk spring mornings. Performance is not stellar but definitely acceptable on my skin. I have enjoyed my 30ml bottle (old bottle design). But: Personally I find this and also the other offerings from the brand to be bit pricey for what you get at full retail. I must admit the whole storytelling from the brand also puts me off to a certain degree and feels disingenuous.

This smells almost identical to Fat Electrician, the drydown brings on the Musk which is not present in the above mentioned. It performs moderately for me in all areas. I'm not going to go into the scent story, if you're familiar with Fat Electrician or even Vetiver Tonka you'll know the story already. The price is reasonable on my discount store so it's FB worthy.

So, there appears to be some confusion on the notes for this fragrance. This listing is for the original Nuit De Megeve and the notes for this iteration are correct. Eight & Bob recently re-packaged and re-formulated. There is no Fragrantica page yet for the new formulation. Hope this clears things up for y'all. Cheers! This has a touch of what reminds me of citrus but the vetiver is clearly the dominating part of this scent. Quite earthy but I really don't see how this can be marketed as a unisex fragrance. Feels more masculine. I'd say the tobacco is very subtle behind the vetiver in this one and not very sweet as im having a hard time finding it in this scent.

Nuit de Megeve is a smooth woody haze of dry, peppery liquorice, with a gentle sweetness of tonka and an amber warmth. The star of the show is the fennel/anise note, as it’s herbaceous, spicy but sweet, almost like crush patchouli leaves. It’s a smooth, creamy, powdery, woody type of shaving soap clean.

Classic fall scent IMO. Tonka and tobacco. Works. Classy, not sure it radiates personality or sexiness or anything, but it's a solid take. Versatile, and safe IMO, intended for a mature man. Doesn't come across as overly earthy... Ok to wear at night as well as day.

Aromatic roasted coffee and deep, smoky vetiver pair beautifully here. I got this as a replacement for Dior's discontinued Vetiver, but this is so much more than that. NDM is less uplifting but more earthy & boasts great performance. A masterpiece in it's own right.

I am a younger male (early 20's) and blind bought this and was a bit nervous. Finally got to wearing it and it is great. Very vetiver forward, but has a bit of brightness while being kind of dark and gentlemanly at the same time.

In the drydown this smells almost exactly like Burberry Touch for Men. Unfortunately it brings the same problem I had with that one: it somehow sets my teeth on edge. I do really enjoy the fragrance until that moment hits.

a very well done masculine but refined scent, dries down to a perfect leather fragrance. It was a bit to masculine for my taste but its one heck of a mans fragrance

Dark spicy coffee scent that reminds me of Endyminion by Penhaligons. Very nice!

Remove the coffee aroma and you will smell the kenzo homme boisee ..

Nuit de Megeve is a warm, slightly sweet-spicy fragrance. Perhaps, more SPICE than SWEET. A tobacco, musky, gourmand, almost ambery fragrance with some vetiver mixed in to give a slight edge or pinch. This to keep it from going totally sweet. (If you have smelled Atelier's Nuit Tobacco, there is a sweet gourmand feel that is resembled in this.) I am not saying Nuit de Megeve smells like Nuit Tobacco, but the ambery gourmand flavor is detected here at least in my opinion. I enjoyed this a great deal. Marketed as unisex; yes, any gender could sport this. Performance: 7/10 Projection: 7/10 Silage: 7/10 Longevity: 6.5/10 Overall: 7/10

First impression: watered down Bal d'Afrique vetiver, I don't find this smoky nor dark or misterious. Quite fresh and the sweet grapefruit stays at all times with me. It dries down to a mossy scent with the uplifting vetiver. Okay for the gym or hot weather but sillage and longevity are to be desired. I get no coffee -I have Awake for that matter- nor tonka or smokiness, tobacco where are you?. It has some fruity sweetness and I don't feel it's dry at all, but hey that's me. Nice and fresh with a hint of something else but it is not a memorable vetiver for me as I have other options.

When I first tried this I was enamored. The scent was so mysterious and cool, especially the tobacco and musk notes and I couldn't stop smelling my wrists. After buying the full bottle, however I realized the performance is dismal. I'm not a stickler for performance, but I should at least be able to still smell it on myself after an hour, and even those who have been close to me for extended periods of time have not noticed it on me. Huge bummer cause it smells so damn good.
