Ambre D'Orient Secret V

This scent has some similarities with Bond No 9 New York Amber especially at the opening but it goes in different direction. The Bond has strong rose till the end. The Eisenberg has resins/spices and jasmine. But they have the same vibe and quality IMO. Other strong notes are benzoin, vanilla, strong bergamot which gives to the blend some freshness but at the dry down it goes to the background. There is also a nice rose note which fades away as time passes. Myrrh is also strong at the opening but it loses power later. Cinnamon is also present with musk. The performance is strong and it would be also nice on a woman. I like it a lot but it's not a new smell for me.

I got a sample of this for free with an order from notino. Just go and look at the samples themselves. What are they playing at?! There's a pull tab at the top, and then you have to squeeze the card to produce a shockingly small spray and I thought to myself "why are you trying to reinvent the wheel?" And then I realised it's to hide the fact that you've give me a 0.3ML (zero point three millilitre) sample. Absolutely scandalous. After all that I wouldn't care if the scent was worth it but the scent, all half a spray of it, is so bland it's an insult. Just another resin-y amber. Touch of iris fauve about it. The whole process was akin to carrying an ice cube to the north pole.

I too received a free sample with Notino. The pack was easy enough to use. You just pull the tab in the direction of the arrow. Unfortunately, the contraption collapses when squeezed! I agree with @RichMich that this packet is att3mpting to reinvent the wheel. To me, the scent is really pleasant but unremarkable. I love amber, but the pepper does make it lean towards Bvlgari Black which I already have and it’s really not worth the £87 for 30 ml £135 for 100ml that Notino are asking. You can get something really special for less than that!
