So French!

A classic smelling perfume that brings back memories of the old time perfumes - big, warm and strong aroma, something you will definitely notice. And honestly - today it's very refreshing amongst the modern fragrances which tend to be either sugary/vanilla sweet or citrusy fresh. It definitely has the quality feel of a classic perfume, but isn't for everyone and won't work as an everyday perfume. This one is for that extra special event when you want to feel tasteful, sophisticated and a little bit retro.

This is autumn incarnate! Now I'm not talking the pumpkin spice and mulled cider, this is more the dying evening with a hint of bonfire smoke over a cold, misty landscape as the sun sets! It's smokey, quite a odd smoke too with hints of leather and lavender and a powdery feel. Hard to describe actually as I didn't know what to expect when I saw the notes and blind bought this but it is wonderful and a little sombre. The sillage and longevity are good and it smells like quality, definitely a keeper!

This is "too French" for me! On me, it's pure, strong leather and lavender mixture ( I look at that rich pyramid and I feel sad -I don't really get all those notes...). No doubt, this is a high quality perfume (the lasting power is amazing on me) and definitely not for everybody. When I first sprayed it, I got something.. salty, some kind of smoked food, like high quality smoked sausage (I'm sorry!), like burnt wood, I guess that's the leather and lavender duo which is starring here. In the background I feel a shy flower bouquet (shy, because that leather is overwhelming, the world gets wrapped in it). The drydown becomes softer, more rounded, more wearable (so maybe I have to wait to avoid those first impressions). I guess the drydown is the best part of this perfume - a classic, woody powder. Somehow reminds me Cabochard by Gres ( but that one is more wearable for me) or Cuir de Russie by Chanel. This could be interesting on a man too. Don't buy it blind, it could be a major disappointment. Strong leather, heavy, vintage style, classic powder which makes me sneeze (in the end), individualistic, maybe a bit masculine, unique (that's for sure). And by the way - it's intriguing, I guess I'll try it one more time. Or two. :)

"So French!" reminds me my first notion about perfume. The scent, that was in the air, when I was a little child - at that time women used to wear perfumes from the middle of 20th century and up to decade '80. One word: classics! Really a "tribute to the sophistication of French culture". I am impressed by Eisenberg production - every their scent has a strong character unlike most of modern fragrances. If I did not know that Eisenberg's scents are from years 2000-2010, I would think that they are perfumes with history. It's successful revival of classics.

This smells exactly like I thought anything French would smell like. I enjoy this spicy leather scent. It smells like something very new and old together. It smells like something you just can't stop sniffing. All of the Eisenberg's perfumes, I have tried smell a little "french" to me, but this is an outstanding one. Exquisite!

Oh la la, this one smells quite French indeed. As a tribute to some French classics, it definitely has some features characteristic to some of the greatest French fragrances- without reaching quite the same level. The most prominent notes are ylang ylang, leather, sandalwood and lavender. The four notes create a strong mixture that overpowers the rest. I am not a chypre fan, and this is no exception. It seems more of a copy rather than an original take on a chypre. It's classy, but at the same time lacks depth and character.

Wow. This is a really interesting fragrance. I often try scents that are a little off mainstream as I really dislike that synthetic sweet smell that exists in so many perfumes. I picked this up on a whim really, as the 30ml was just £5 so I thought I'd give it a go. It packs a punch on first application; it's almost overwhelming and has that smoky bite that my favourite Lush scent, Sikkim Girls, has. It's almost a little unbearable for the first few minutes, the powerful, smoky, powdery leather scent is extremely heady, but the dry down is worth the wait. After a few minutes I get a delicious leathery lavender. After a few hours, it still smells powdery and there is a discernable sweetness, like caramelised sugar that's just started to burn. It's so different and super intriguing. I think this will be a new favourite for winter.

"So French!" it is a lovely fragrance. Vintage in style and really quite similar to Chanel's Cuir de Russie but less sudsy, this Eisenberg is sweeter with a heavy dose of lavender. I love it for fall, but I can really wear this perfume all year round because its sillage is quite faint, but the durability is eternal on the skin. I don't find it strong or masculine, I do notice it perhaps tough and of a vintage type because its smell of horse skin (type of birch resin skin) is quite dominant, but today these fragrances without being niche that are less usual with that hint of sweetness sprinkled with aromatic flowers... are unique gifts

This perfume smells very very French :) ! A modern chypre. Mild, in meaning that it has no sharp edges. Heavy on iris, powdery, powerful. With detectable notes of lavender, rose, leather, patchouli. Reminds me of Guerlain classics in character: part L'Heure Bleue, part Mitsouko, part Vol de Nuit, part Shalimar, Jicky, Samsara... I like the concept, but for this price, I'd rather pay some more and go for the original Guerlain.

Oh, I love this one, though I usually cannot stand such heavy fragrances, and this is very heavy to me. On me, it smells like forest and bonfire, love it in my hair, smells like pure autumn to me, I love that! Definitely need a bottle of this!
