I am struggling to reconcile the name Two Cigarettes in the Dark with the actual scent profile. While the fragrance is marketed as a moody, late-night atmospheric tribute to a New York club, the composition—which focuses heavily on vetiver, cade, and cypress—reads more like a deep, dense forest than the smoky, urban rendezvous the name suggests. It is a beautiful woody-spicy fragrance, but the naming feels disconnected from the earthy, green reality of the scent.

The last of the samples I've tried from the discovery set. 2 cigarettes in the dark is really pleasant. I get a lot of cypress and Cade oil. Vetiver, spicy cinnamon, and light cashmere balance things out woods forward fragrance. It's warm and comfy like wearing a soft sweater in a cool forest. It's nice on its own, but I have layered it with Bvlgari man wood essence to great effect and lumberjack vibes. I was expecting something dark and smokey, but this is very fresh, woody and pleasant. 6/10

The name does not connect to the scent. I was expecting a languishing, sexy tobacco scent. There’s no tobacco or sexy anywhere. It’s an outdoorsy atmospheric green mountain man smell. Marketing gone wrong!

Such a great name. Such a boring profile of notes. I was hoping this might be a rich smoky tobacco. Oh well.
