Strawberry Fields Forever People often say that layering works best when you combine an alcohol-based fragrance with a perfume oil, and Musc Fruity is a perfect example of why. The scent and longevity of this release have already been described very accurately by the previous reviewer, so there's no need for me to go over them again. It is indeed a sticky, sweet strawberry, and I came to exactly the same conclusion about how it melts into a skin scent. I would only add that its longevity is quite remarkable for a strawberry note, which is usually very fleeting, and that it doesn't smell overly synthetic to my nose. There are no traces of household cleaning products or strawberry yogurt flavoring here. This is a tangy strawberry—playful, certainly, but more aesthetic than vapy. It's pretty, and it wears beautifully on its own. That said, this strawberry monochrome is the perfect opportunity to experiment with layering. I paired it with État Libre d'Orange's Une Amourette, a woody iris fragrance, and the result was excellent. The oil on the skin and the alcohol-based perfume on my clothes created no clash whatsoever; instead, the two compositions complemented each other so well that they blended into what felt like a completely new fragrance. My partner genuinely thought I was wearing something new. So if you're looking for a Tumblr-esque strawberry, whether to wear on its own or as part of a layering combination, Musc Fruity is an excellent choice. There's really no need to spend more money for this kind of fragrance. A little sweetness—for both the nose and the wallet—never hurt anyone.

It smells quite nice, but nothing breathtaking, which is absolutely alright considering the price of this perfume. First it hits you with a very juicy strong punch of somewhat artificial strawberry note. After maybe 30 minutes it starts to dry down to more animalistic/skin like, very soft musky smell, while the strawberry is still very present. On my skin personally it doesn’t quite last very long as other perfumes from this brand. I would describe the smell like stepping out of shower, very clean, and then spilling strawberry juice all over you. Still fresh, but now all sticky and sweet.
