Capua

This is very Black Afghano inspired where the oud has been usurped by vetiver. Personally, I prefer this one. The opening is a medicinal cypress blast with an explosion of balsamic and lemony elemi. The elemi resin then melts itself down into a pool of amber embers, glowing away steadily in the background. There's an abundance of woods and the dried roots of vetiver here, used as tinder for the fire found in this perfumed hearth, full of pitch black soot and the sweetest of velvet smoke. Leans masculine, but I'd wear it still gladly, and last and last as though you've been literally smoked by all the ingredients in this beautiful fire, like a bakhoor ritual. It's carbon black and amber in colour and thick velvet in texture. I like it very much and need to give it a few more tries to establish if I will add a decant of full bottle to my collection. This house continues to impress me!

🤎 I looooove this fragrance!. Perfectly smoky, warm, lightly spicy... my goodness this is beautiful, very sensuous, elegant and even mysterious...irresistible!. I have to admit Capua makes me a little weak in the knees. Smells really good. Woody, sweet, ambery. The cedar isn't as dry as in many perfumes, it's really sweetened which makes it really smooth and pleasing. This smells niche and very high quality. It's a loud, masculine fragrance.

Another First review. I cant tell the notes apart with this one,, All i get is a sweet smoky woody smell that lasts for ages and it is mouth watering for me. A must try. 12-JUL-2020

100 times better on skin than on card. Bears no resemblance to the notes listed, it's more an earthy leather with possibly some herbs and geranium, plus lots of patchouli.

Like walking through the aftermath of a wildfire, cedar and vetiver still smoldering, amber adding a dark glow. Smoky woods at their fiercest.

Like a more sophisticated less sweet and stronger version of Black Afgano. Very smooth and long lasting. I may have to shell out for this one.

Very beautiful; peaceful and earthy. I have a large decant, and wear it when I want to calm and ground myself. Fills a good space without being obnoxious; lasts for hours. The only reason it’s not on the short list for a full bottle is that it is, as others have said, quite like a lot of other things, primarily Black Afgano. Also? It feels overpriced for what it is. All talk of “the Silk Road” aside, elemi, cedar, decent vetivert? They’re all in here, they mostly feel natural, and they’re all quite affordable, as is cade, which I think is what they’re using for the smokiness. And I just don’t feel like paying oud prices for vetivert

Burnt, resonated amber. I like this. It’s one of the weaker offerings from the house, or maybe subtler. Hard to call it. When I smell a subtle fragrance, I tend to assume the perfumer is hiding low quality ingredients or blending. Not sure if that’s the case here. This is simple and to the point. Smells better on paper than on skin. On paper, this fragrance is refined and gentlemanly. On skin, charred and smokey to a fault. Could’ve used a tobacco note. Would be a lot more charming had they toned down the smokiness. I like it as a room refresher. Wouldn’t wear this.

Sophisticated and smoky woody aromatic that follows a fairly trodden path in recent perfumery. The perfume opens with notes of smoked cedar and elemi resin along with synthetic notes like cashmere wood and ambroxan. As it starts fully developing one also gets notes like vetiver, ambrette (musk mallow) and cade. Overall the well blended masculine scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. Unfortunately there are too many of these type of scents in the market today for it to make a huge impact really and the deluxe pricing and packaging will not help. Enjoy!

Smoky, ambery woods. A green piney cypress leads the opening, along with a fresh peppery veneer, but at its center is a dark, rich smoky woods. The immediate aftermath of a wildfire, charred trees still giving off warmth with conifer needles littering the ground. Resins slowly displace the smoke as it dries down, adding a mild sweetness. Strong projection fades to a modest scent bubble over ~3hr, longevity 10-12hr.

definitely getting the black afgano vibes. finding it more bearable than both rausch and terroni (it turns less sweet on me). and the vetiver is quite prominent. kind of like this - as i love my vetiver. but then again, i don't think it is FB worthy for me.

More my style with a dry spicy sweetness initially and after a 2.5 hour dry down I picked up on mostly a dry sweet clean fragrance with saffron and musk as well as powdery notes.

I haven't experienced Terroni. I know some compare Terroni to Black Afgano. I can tell you this is not Black Afgano. Its missing depth, the hint of sweetness, and certainly longevity. You could say its reaching for that. Certainly not as great. I have Black Afgano and Mancera's Hindu Kush. If you have those, you don't need this. But for a shell of Black Afgano but even less than Hindu Kush, you can get this. You can get an ok price at a discounter. If you are going to do that, just get Black Afgano. This is woody with a hint of smokiness. That's it. Just over 5 hours in performance. The Electimuss Discovery Set so far has been a mixed bag. Most have been a like. But very few (so far) are a love and this one is just ok for me. Love the bottles.

To be totally fair: these comments are coming from testing in 80 degree weather in the summer. Believe it or not, I have never tested black afgano but to my nose this smells very similar to Lattafa maahir black edition (around 50 usd). I am not loving this but again to be fair I absolutely love this house and have loved almost every offering this far and I’m bound to not like every single one! This is has a very dark woody smoke vibe. I don’t hate it now but don’t love it. I will test this again in the cold months to see if my tastes change in this one...

Dry, warm, dusty, and woody with a mild, unisex floral note (possibly geranium) that fades after the opening. There's also a gentle, sweet smoke accord in the background. The opening is on the dense side, but the more it dies down, the more soft and pleasant it gets. Not a bad fragrance for a summer day or a warm autumn day, though it probably wouldn't be my first choice.

Not much to say. Smells like burning freshly cut wood. I could also smell some spices hanging out in the background. Interesting fragrance. I would like this on someone else, but not on myself personally. Wife says it reminds her of a grilled food stall at a carnival.

Resinous campfire near an orthodox church. I'm really tempted to layer this with a woody vanilla to make it less "I just came back from glamping."

Smoky, very, very smoky. Lots of burned pine woods not much else doing on.

Tested from the discovery kit.For me it is a linear,very masculine smoky woody fragrance,heavy,for fall/winter.After testing it I washed my hands twice with soap and still it lingered.

Smoky wood scent. Not interesting nor appealing.

If a man arrived on a date wearing this, I don’t think I could stay long enough to give him a fair chance — that’s how unsettling I find it. The scent feels aggressive and synthetic, like a full-blown aromachemical storm wrapped in smoke. It carries everything I struggle with in certain strands of modern perfumery: sharp edges, harsh projection, and an almost metallic intensity. For me, it’s an immediate and unequivocal pass.

I have the same experience with the smoky vetivers of Heeley Vetiver and Electimuss Capua: they make me feel like I'm tasting bile. I like vetiver, I like smoky frags, but something with the combination is really Not For Me. It makes me a little sad honestly, but that's how it goes sometimes.

If you are looking for a black afgano clone with the same price and performance go for it 😂. This house is a joke.

کاپوآ الکتیموس اولین تجربه تست من از این برند بود. از اونجایی که من کلا عاشق وتیور هستم پس عاشق این عطر کاپوآ هم شدم . کلاس بویایی کاپوآ خیلی شیک و رسمیه طبق ادعای برند الکتیموس عطرهای این برند حاوی 30جوس هستند ‌. با همین ادعا از ترکیب جوس معطر با ی عطر چگال و سنگین روبرو هستیم که کاملا هم همینطوره عطر انقد سنگین و چرب و چگاله که مولکولهای عطر نای پرواز ندارند ‌. شاید کسی تو ی محیط بزرگ متوجه بوی عطرتون نشه ولی اگه نزدیکتون میداد مثل مرداب کشیده میشه به داخل حاله ای معطر اما خیلی قوی ایجاد می‌کنه که تا ساعتها پایداره . کاپوآ چیزی که ارائه میده شروعی وتیوری و چرمی و چوبی و سنگینه . وتیوری که کاملا پالایش شده و حس تندو تیز صابونی و خاکی و سبز وحشی نداره انگار ی تیکه چرم دباغی شده رو توی شیشه با روغن وتیور خیسونده باشی . کاپوآ گرچه بازی روایح بسیار کندی داره ولی تو قلب عطر بوی دارک تری به خودش میگیره . آکورد رزینی و بوی پچولی چرم و وتیور و چوب همه دست به دست هم کلییات مبهم و سنگین و بینهایت شیکی رو رغم میزنه کاپوا مثل ی جنتلمن شیک پوشه اما بد ذات. بنظر من اصلا مناسب سن پایینر از چهل سالگی نیست . اگه کاریزماتیک هستید و شیک‌پوش و البته کمی سنگ‌دل و کم حرف . کاپوآ رایحه ای که میده شخصییت شما رو لو میده . محوریت بوی کاپوآ رو روغن وتیور تشکیل میده کیفییت عطر خارق العادست . گرچه پخش بوی بالایی نداره ولی تا 12 ساعت می‌ره زیر پوست و عین رادیو اکتیو تشعشعات معطر خودشو با حاله ای نیم متری اطرافیان رو آلوده می‌کنه . از نظر شبهات تنها چیزی که به ذهنم میاد پرایوت لیبل جووی هست که با وتیوور حسابی تقویتش کرده باشند ‌ بینهایت رایحه دوست داشتی و با کیفیتی داره این

I have the whole collection except 1...vici leather.Wearing capua again just now..I totally get the campfire burning smell on your clothes aspect but although that sweet smokiness stand out..i like it.It is addictive and you want to gulp it in through your nostrils in big drags.Like all electimuss the staying power is 8-14 hrs...spray more than 6 and then maybe 24hrs,longer on clothes.Really wish you could buy 10ml-20ml sizes but samples or 100ml only...it aint cheap but it aint octavian money either..lol...reckon best for male and 30 up...youngers and perfume newbies probably will not like it.I as 50 up can rock it autumn/winter but me when younger then no..others from the house i like,octavian,celestial,jupiter,silvanus,puritas...puritas is a frankincense masterpiece.

I just ordered a decant of this fragrance, 9/28/2020, i'll be back to share my opinion wnen i receive it 😊 Update: i got the sample today, 10/2/2020, and i'm trying it. So far, it smells like something medicinal, herbal, woody, incense, and smoky. The opening is very strong, i kinda DON'T like it but i will continue trying it, maybe i will take back my words 🤭. I think this is more for men than for women. My son's entered the house and immediately smelled it, 😳😊 its very strong.

Oud incense, cypriol, sweet liquorice, hint of birch tar and patchouli. Right off the bat it feels like a combo between Gaultieri's Terroni & Black Afgano. Not as cloying and loud though, which is a good thing in my book. Only thing that gets louder is some sort of heavy base - ebanol, amberxtreme or something in that ballcourt. Edit: is there ruh khus in this?

ok it has a Black Afghano vibe for sure but has Vetiver & Amber which makes it slightly sweet & IMO its much nicer than Black Afghano. Black Afghano is too dry a frag and this is much better overall. Bottle and sprayer are top notch. I like it and am getting FB soon.

Like Terroni made by designer company. Very well crafted,great performance, smooth,nothing intrusive. Who's into that dna can't go wrong with this one. Don't smell anything burning or some sh** like that.

High quality, good performance, but not overly original after Black Afghano, Terroni, Mumbai Noise etc If you own any of these I’d spend my money on something else. 7/10

this is a replica of Terroni, but a little softer. other perfumes are also not original. and kitschy design. well.. it makes no sense...

Big smoky wood that lasts forever. Ace if that's what you were wanting. I haven't smelled Black Afgano so can't comment on that score.

Remove the oud in Black Afgano, replace it with vetiver. Next, you add a hefty dose of Elemi and Amber. Capua is what you get.

Got Terroni Orto Parisi vibes and almost an exact match. Couldn’t believe it. Some difference in the drydown.

Oud, amber, patchouli, cedar, vetiver. Very potent and very similar to Black Afgano and Oud Intense by Gucci.
