Celestial

Celestial took me quite some time to fully comprehend, unable to decide if Electimuss have delivered something exceedingly complex or brazenly simple, eventually i realized that this quality of ambiguity and blurring of the extremes is itself the source of Celestial's beauty. One thing i can say for sure regarding Celestial (and Electimuss broadly, which imo is currently the most underrated niche house) is the provided notes will never prepare you for what you are about to smell. Celestial is dominated and entirely built around a dried, almost arid rose note that isn't jammy or even all that rosy, its an abstract heavenly vision of rose. Its supported at various times by soft fluffy leather, smooth creamy woods, a raspy musk note which while not at all dirty does smell salty and more on the savory side of things, a peek-a-boo raspberry note that i cant smell at all on skin but get great big whiffs of when the fragrance is whipped up in the air, a dusty green olibanum, not at all smoked incense but like the powdery residue in a basket of freshly collected olibanum, and finally a soft lightly green mossy note. This might all sound a bit dark and heavy, the end result is anything but, rather its true to its name, Celestial - of the heavens, its an otherworldly rendition of the notes and ends up smelling like none of them, or all of them, i still dont know, what i do know is Celestial is a luxurious perfectly executed fragrance.

I have the discovery set and tried this two days ago. I LOVED IT. To be fair, i absolutely love black pepper so the opening was heaven for me. I love rose also so it had a lot of things going for it. This to me doesnt last super long...or i go noseblind to it. But, i may get a full bottle just for the black pepper opening! it is wearable, versatile, unique. It is good for day or night, hot or cold. It is well blended and not synthetic or plastic. Big big love for me.

One of the most versatile frags in my collection, able to do both day and night, and all 4 seasons. What floored me is seeing that so many ppl say Celestial is similar to Nemer by BtV. They do not smell similar. Nemer has much woodier base with more prominent rose note. After Mercurial Cashmere and Vixere, this is probably Electimuss's 3rd best scent.

Lovely fresh opening with soft fruit and flowers and lots of musks. Nice amount of pink and black peppers balances the sweet and fruity rose. Olibanum here is super soft, it’s just giving a bit of depth to the whole composition. Like it! It’s sexy and beautiful snd has a great longevity and performance. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

First spray smells like BTV Blue Sapphire and shortly after, changes to Oud Al Fayed but with less skank. Still testing for longevity. Projection is soft

The notes and ingredients are not listed on this page, here they are (from the brand): SPICY FRUITY TOP : Saffron, raspberry, black pepper DEEP ROSE INCENSE HEART : Olibanum, Indian rose absolut, Bulgarian rose, pink pepper LIGHT WOODY BASE : Cedar, Paraguan guaiac wood, tonka This is a really pleasant, non-offensive fragrance. Although there's pepper in the top and heart notes, it's not peppery at all (at least for me). Olibanum and rose are noticeable from the beginning...you're soon drydown-transported to a warm and light woody area and the rose is still there, it all blends well but it doesn't have that 'wow' factor that other Electimuss fragrances have. I like it.

Nice Ripe opening. Immediately getting a chocolatey vibe. Clean smell. Raspberry at the front, Saffron right behind, maybe even holding hands. Rose is just behind them. I agree the pepper is there but... it is such a light smell of pepper. It literally smells like pepper, but without the spicey-ness. The woods at the base keeping it grounded and some-what dry. Kind of playing with the wet smell of raspberry. People brining up leather smell only because in the creation of a leather accord you use saffron. I like it.

Peppery rose. A faint, sweet leather accord underpins a bouquet of fresh pink roses sprinkled with finely ground, earthy black pepper. Stout woods hold it down in the base, but the scent is fairly linear. Moderately strong scent bubble persists for 6-8hr, longevity 10-12hr. Raspberry is listed as a top note, but I actully pick it up more in the drydown. Bright, candied, kinda gives it a musky/powdery texture as a skin scent.

This smells like the Arabic bukhoor where they put the oud on a hot coals and let it air smoke around the house. Really nice fragrance from electimuss but I feel if I had it, it would be hard to wear as there needs to be a time and place to wear this.

As others have said, versatile. Light spicy rose. Easy reach. But, not something I will jump at. Moving on.

Tons of leather, with a predominant semi-powdery potpourri-like rose. Dries down to a synthetic ambergris. People talk of the sweetness of the raspberry, but this note is way more tart than sweet. Instead, I get short-lived bright fruity lychee sweetness in the opening that becomes more tart, then becomes a supporting note to the dry powdery potpourri rose and leather. Again, very tart raspberry. Full bodied, bold, for cooler weather only. I cannot think of an event in which this fragrance might suit me. Beautiful quality in ingredients, but requires many full wearings to appreciate. 7.5/10. DO NOT BLIND BUY.

There’s that gnarly raspberry-saffron combination again. The rose note is of the same caliber. Not good 👎. But, seems to be a quality brew and I’m sure plenty of people can appreciate this... I would steer clear. It’s like a stale Mercurial Cashmere.

Like the reviewer below on my skin it started like a pungent skin desinfection product, maybe the saffron-raspberry combo, I don`t know, it remained like thar very long until at last in the dry-down it became woody and slightly vanillic.A definitive NO.I currently test a 20-sample kit and until now found none of the samples FB-worth,maybe the new Moroccan Medjool (which resembles Lamar from Kajal) and Spice D`Arno

The first one from the sample kit that I do not like. The first few minutes smell like the product they use in the hospital I go. The dry down is better but still not my thing. It's well made, but not for my tastes.

Initially it smelled weak, dry, and powdery. After 2.5 hour dry down it smelled super clean fresh and soapy. Really strange change. I did not like this one at all.

I really disliked this one, I think it was because of the saffron note, as it can be quite off-putting in some compositions

Milder Oud Al Fayed. Not blind-buy safe. Unique and for the adventurous. Shukran Habibi!

This is a lovely rosy scent very similar to Nemer by BdV, minus oud, making it softer and less medicinal in the dry down (worth noting is the fact both Nemer and Celestial were done by Christian Provenzano). Comparing them side by side the differences are very subtle and I could easily mistake one for another. I find the soft, warm dry down of Celestial very pleasing and will most likely add it to my collection. The reviewer below compared Celestial to Blue Sapphire but I disagree, Auster Electimuss is similar to BS, not Celestial :-)

Some confusing takes on this fairly simplistic, yet very attractive rose. It’s not unique and doesn’t stray from a successful profile, however it does it really really well. The rose is soft and airy, with sweetness from the raspberry and saffron bringing its chic leather quality. a very playful, tart raspberry with sour-sweet rose and a good dose of saffron. it feels more leathery that woody to me. maybe im not a fan of raspberry in fragrances? its just makes anything smell synthetic and cheap. I would prefer this to evaluate into something more woody or to drydown into a woody rose scent. but that tart raspberry (almost sour lychee-like) just doesn't go away
