Fortuna

If you're trying to break down the notes so as to see if Fortuna is worth a blind buy or not - don't bother because I've wasted many an hour tilting at that particular windmill. Having sampled most from this house, I can assure you the notes won't equip you for what you're about to smell. Upon the opening, I'm greeted with a highly concentrated, ginormous dose of overtly cheesy oud, almost squalid (?) - so cheesy I could actually taste it - whose raunchiness is enhanced by a semi savoury, musky ambergris. Soon after, the animalic open is joined by a velvety soft yet crimson rose and LOTV before the musk and medicinal saffron slip in and wrap the whole thing up. I also feel the need to specify how unique the LOTV note/accord ultilized in many offerings from this house is. It still bears the same soapy clean, airy green qualities you usually see in this particular flower that tend to lean to the feminine side most of the time but in here it's simultaneously pollen-y, creamy, and fleshed out. The perfumer somehow managed to make it completely gender neutral, feels almost like they stripped it down to only its essentials and then used them to build their own version of LOTV. Fortuna is a contrast between light and dark, effervescent and grounded. It can be either utterly inaccessible and relentlessly profound or endearingly and charmingly provocative - you be the judge. Personally it was a love at first sniff. Reading from the notes, I was expecting a pretty airy floral with only an oudy backbone but it's more so the other way around. Fortuna is by no means just another tawdry rose-oud, and only blind buy when you've become habituated to fecal/cheesy ouds.

Okey lets do this 🤟🏼, first off I want to say this is a personal favorite from the line so far, Its unconventional, edgy, mysterious and unique, this fragrance is a one of a kind, a maverick to most as it plays your olfactory perception like a drum, at first spray you get a fleshy almost meat like rose scent with hints of geranium making it smell a bitt off to most people but to me this is how art is immortalised, this passes on the mid fairly quickly at a linear pace then it dries down into a dirty almost damp patchouli scent mixed with what seems to be a withered rose crushed under the damp earth. Is it for everyone..Nope, this fragrance is an art one that I would wear when the need to impress arises. 10/10

This seems to be a polarising fragrance. I’ve been circling around it for a few months and took the plunge today. I’m glad I did! A bit of barnyard in the mix seems to be the main issue for the naysayers; for me, however, a rich fruit-cakey oud and gently feral musk are right up my alley! The saffron and citrus up top deliver a lively opening; of the floral notes geranium trumps a rather wan rose and lily-of-the-valley illusion. Towards the end a really lovely, faintly chocolatey, patchouli and dry, earthy vetiver gather everything else together in a satisfyingly warm embrace. There are many far dirtier contenders out there for those of us who like rolling around in the mud occasionally but Fortuna holds back a little and is all the better for it. I think I’m going to be wearing it often.... I like it a lot.

I'm not sure why people trashed this one so much. I don't have a huge expenrience with the oud rose category, but I would describe it as a loud oud rose with spicy and soapy qualities. The price of this at discounters seems quite reasonable. Performance is quite impressive.

Well, I don't know how to start, I have over 270 perfumes, some chap and good others expensive, and it's not worth a pound, like electimuss fortuna, it's a loss of 175 pounds, I bought unboxing, it's sad that Electumuss has very good parfums, and it's a famous house, But I can't believe they put out a perfume mixed with shit, don't make the mistake of buying it after notes, or unboxing, the notes are in deception looks pretty good, but the perfume, smells like dog shit for real, 🤷🤷🤷🤬🤬

I'm glad I sampled this after blindly craving a bottle for the longest time. This perfume is hard-core. Lol. The oud, saffron and geranium are really at the forefront of this perfume. Slightly fecal oud in the opening that only gets stronger as the perfume wears. It's a harsh/ rough scent. Not a safe blind buy. But it's beautiful for what it is. Not my style though.

I don't hate it but I don't love it. First initial thought is that it's a very Oudy fragrance that is watered down by the rose. It's almost an old lady scent at first. The dry down is actually more nice and gives off a nice combination of the oud and rose/almost powdery. I don't smell poop.

Oud with a fresh type of rose (perhaps melding with the citrus) and an edge of suedy saffron as it dries. A finish of a bit of peppery spice. If you like oud rose combos this is a good one, but I'm bored of this profile myself.

🙊 This smells like rotten flowers in a cemetery, with a hint of fecal matter. The only fragrance from Electimuss that I sadly dislike. Pass.

I've gone from sampling the least daring and safe fragrance from this house (Trajan) to this extremely daring and very far from safe offering. DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS!!! The phrase "to cast pearls before swine" came to my head when I sprayed this for some reason. I appreciate the art and creativity here but it feels like a total waste to be experienced by someone such as myself, who doesn't get it. I just don't get this one (and I'm not sure I want to!) The above phrase also came to mind due to the oud note here being totally on the barnyard and fecal side of things. Immediately, I recalled the smell of the local pig farm in the village I grew up in and I envisioned a plethora of pigs, all wearing pearl necklaces around their pink, mud splattered and perfumed necks, squealing with delight during their bathing rituals. The pigs are rolling around in the churned up slurry of their own shit, muddy earth and the dug up roots, flowers and leaves of roses, vetiver, lily of the valley and geraniums. The overall floral/fecal mud bath impression leaves me feeling dirty and disturbed. It feels like you can almost taste it... That fecal, somewhat cheesy note just lingers on and on, like something that won't flush and can't be covered up by any sort of floral air fresheners. I want to scrub it off but I also want to wait longer, if I can handle it, to see if anything changes and I'll report back. Update - well, It's interesting, but it is absolutely not for me. I'm sorry but I hate it. Keep your pongy pearls, please... I'm not worthy of them. This has turned into bleachy toilet cleaner smell in a freshly used toilet to my nose. It's getting scrubbed off!

I own the decant set of almost the entire electimuss catalogue, and this one is among my least favorites, if not the very least. I'm sorry, but this smells like chemical cleaning of a public restroom, like, something really strong to cover something really bad that just happened there. But I'm not a fan of neither rose and oud, and with that bias this reaction was kind of expected.

The worst perfume I have ever tried, it's smell like a 💩, sorry for this but really it's very bad and not worth 1$

Oh gosh. I don't know where to begin. This is not a good fragrance. Horrible headache.

This Electimuss is very bracing and sour. It is quite complex but slightly messy in that same card. Although not poor in terms of quality as many would say at this price point. Who knows... It smells to me like it does rely heavily on propelling boosters and expensive, synthetic accords that are reminding me of things from Boadicea or Roja. I'm thinking Immortal or Regal by Boadicea or of course Taif Aoud by Roja. Maybe some naturals are evident but not obvious because the focus is mainly on performance. I find it to be a very boosted and musky, sour, rose that could turn medicinal in the heat or sweaty in the winter and very similar to common Arabic souq scents.

This is very synthetic smelling. A bit of citrus at first mixed with fake barnyard oud, citrus dies out and rose/geranium combo comes out and the fake oud stays. Every time I smell my wrist I get either the rose the oud or a mix of both but all very synthetic, nothing natural or rich about it. I think frags that wanna smell super barnyard/animalic should smell natural or realistic, this just smells like chemicals.

It’s strikingly similar to Panthere Cartier in the Parfum , with a small streak of Halfeti Penhaligons. Sorry to reduce and compare it to its counterparts , but it’s an olfactory memory upon spraying. I was really surprised to read the reviews below, I can’t relate . I don’t get anything remotely farmyard / excremental - thank God 😄 all noses are different!

I don't necessarily get fecal, but definitely a urinous smell throughout the fragrance's life. When I first applied it, I assumed that this note would dissipate quickly as usually the offensive notes do in most fragrances. But nope, this portion never ceases!

Very close to ASQ Black Incense with more oud. Loved it.
