Jupiter

Okay I’m confused. Not in a bad way but just confused. I had two samples of this which I really enjoyed. Almost a powdery oud vibe. I bought a full bottle and sprayed the sample on one arm (using the rest) and the new full bottle on the other. The new bottle smells somewhat similar but almost fresher? I’m wondering if heat or elements ruined all top notes of my samples along the way? I love the new bottle smell and enjoyed the samples but it was just unexpected and that has never happened to me. Anyone else have this experience with this one? It’s to die for by the way haha whichever you have sample or full bottle vibe! I will update if this changes.. Update: I think I had a different fragrance altogether in my sample container but oddly enough was very similar to Jupiter. I believe it was oud ispahan which is similar to Jupiter expect a bit dirtier and more for colder nights while I can see Jupiter being pulled off in warmer months or cold days but is more versatile and wearable in more situations than oud ispahan. Anyways, weird coincidence but I may purchase oud ispahan as well since I’m digging the dirty yet clean vibes and projection is monster (sorry not reviewing that, I know)

#1195 in my "Tour de Fragrance" My first Electimuss scent, and boy is it a doozy. Oil slick level perfume oils (do not spray your clothes!), great longevity and projection. Warm and snug, toasting marshmallows by the campfire on a cool autumn night on the shores of Fontana Lake. The stars are out. The owls are calling. The crickets are chirping. The fireflies are flashing and so are her big brown eyes. I know just the girl I'm going to wear this for and where we will be. This really is one of the nicest set-the-mood scents I've encountered. I've come to the conclusion that rose notes ruin a good oud and incense fragrance for me, so this is right up my alley. The ambrette, saffron and davana really make this mildly woody scent delicious. Got this in a sprayette. Ordering a full bottle. Absent the rose note this doesn't get suffocating in close spaces like some oud and incense scents can, but I'd still take it easy applying this unless you're going to be outdoors. Cool weather wear for me. I'd wear it to the office if there was a woman there I'm interested in interesting, but definitely date wear.

Thoughts on a new bottle... * Lovely scent by Sofia Bardelli. * A high quality fragrance. * Very classy. * Sophisticated. * Bold and pungent. * I get a strong dose of Labdanum up front. * It's what makes it a little fresher and brighter. * The note pyramid makes it out to be woody, smokey and musky. * To me it has more of a full blast Aqua Green effect . * The Ambergris and Labdanum are front and center only to be flanked by Vetiver and Patchouli. * Don't get me wrong, the Incense Saffron and Agarwood are present in the end. * And it all finishes off with the musks. * Sillage is strong but short lived. * It’s a shame it doesn’t last longer. * Very pleased, this was happily a successful blind purchase. * I also sampled Quattro Pizzi by Bardelli and just as Jupiter it resonates in your face bold and fresh. ** Final thought... Am going to have to try more from this Italian hottie as I do like what I've smelled thus far.

As is commonly known, Jupiter is the King of the Roman Gods. Though the fragrance is neither opulent or luxurious, I would say it is truly regal. It's such a beautiful and unique combination of oud, incense, and musk mallow that immediately transports you to an ancient palace. Absolute love for me, and another excellent addition to the inerrable house of Electimuss!

Jupiter is a very interesting fragrance which seems to change throughout its life. Initially it opens up green and earthy from the davana, patchouli and vetiver, before a powerful oud and dark incense take charge backed up by a leathery labdanum. There’s also a sweetness coming in from the saffron. From here you’d expect the fragrance to stay quite linear but the scent changes depending how close you are to it. Upon smelling my arm into the dry down, I’m still greeted by a slightly abrasive oud and incense combination with earthy patchouli. However when it comes to the sillage around me I pick up much more of the sweet, musky ambrette and salty ambergris. Initially I was going to sell this on however the musky sillage captured my attention and so it’s earned it’s place in my collection. At times I get whiffs of it in the air and am reminded ever so slightly of a lower quality, more affordable version of Roja’s Musk Aoud - but with a much more prominent use of oud.

I will admit, I wasn't keen on this right away. I sprayed it on a tester the first time and it didn't resonate. So I put my sample away. After reading the previous review from @justthefactsman, I decided to give it a wear. It is very comforting on skin. Lasts a good bit. I certainly would not be opposed to picking it up at a discounter. I enjoy woody scents. Oud is hit or miss depending on the fragrance. Oud / Rose combos are the same. Halfeti is fantastic. But Oud / Saffron is nice. I really enjoy similar blends like Urban Oud and Sahara Rose Absolute from Habibi. But add in that patchouli, incense, and others...it blends well. With so many out there, not sure if I will target it sooner or later. But worth having.

Sampled this today. Reminds of Oud Ispahan and upon checking, they do share some key top and middle notes. It's a cool type of oud, more medicinal than sweet but without that "old man cologne" type smell. Definitely unisex. Silage moderate to strong (I did two small sprays). I'm finding the dry-down preferable to Oud Ispahan's though as it doesn't have the same dirty pungence. Hours later it literally smells like a quietened version of the opening, so it's a linear scent on me. The price point is good when taking into account its strong performance throughout the day and compared to the price of Dior's original scent. I like it :-)

A heavy dose of sweet saffron, backed by a mild oud. Subtle powder with the medicinal oud, light florals, and ambrette giving it a breezy, spacious feel. Faint wafts of fruity notes, leather accord, incense, amber accent the scent profile anchored to a sturdy wood base. Moderate projection for 3-4hr settles into a soft scent bubble over 5-6hr, longevity 16hr+. Soft & sweet, a bit of a shapeshifter as it dries down. The ambrette swaps in and out of a dominant position in the mid, and it becomes a very dry leathery wood skin scent.

Out of my 16 Electimuss perfumes, I find this to be the most "quiet". It doesn't project as much as the others I have and I don't find the scent very challenging. I won't call it a crowd pleaser like Trajan or Imperium as it has a medicinal opening, with the Saffron and oud quite pungent. It treads the path of Oud Ispahan but is much softer and smoother. Can work as a signature scent if you're not tired of oud - saffron. Scent is linear (as I find with most Electimuss fragrances) . Fbw for me but not a safe blind buy.

This fragrance contains Hexyl Cinnamal and Benzyl Benzoate. Animal studies have demonstrated that Hexyl Cinnamal is an endocrine disruptor. In 2009, "The Journal of Applied Toxicology" published an in-vitro study (i.e., conducted on human breast cells) which demonstrated that the chemicals known as Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, and Butylphenyl methylpropional (aka Lilial) are all estrogenic (aka "oestrogenic" in the U.K.) chemicals--do better, Electimuss. Choosing to smell sexy shouldn't be a hazardous decision.

Luckily I got this with a good discount, just as well because this stuff does nothing on me. Extremely poor in the performance department... It's so damn weak and almost disappears within the hour. What I've lost in fragrance, I've gained in a potential weapon of a bottle.

Initial smells... sweet and familiar, I cannot quite put my finger on it; honey perhaps. after there usual 2.5 hour dry down it smelled powdery, clean, sweet, soapy, with a hint of fruit. I like the dry down best. I would not purchase a full bottle though.

Jupiter = Proraso wood and spice

Just got my sample of Electimuss Jupiter..and boy is this stuff potent..It smells better with your nose further from the spot you spray so needless to say it packs a punch..This is a decent cold weather scent for that reason. I can see wearing this dressed up with a wool coat but definitely not a date night scent. The pungent Saffron and as mentioned below, medicinal oud is up front and seem to be the stars of the show. Go EASY on the sprayer and spray from a distance because this could choke people out in close quarters. I find it a little rough around the edges tbh..I have a 8 ml from maxaroma.com but wouldn't buy the full bottle. 5/10 overall imo.
