Moroccan Medjool

First impression: on paper, I instantly smelled jasmine and dates with the jasmine being rather indolic and in your face. Having worked closely with jasmine building many scents, I can say this smells more on the natural jasmine side of things. Once you throw it on skin the overwhelming feminine vibe I was getting on paper subdues and the citrus and rose come out to play. I am getting a lot of florals, dates and citrus in that order. Still getting a lot and I mean a lot of jasmine in this one so if you’re sensitive to that or find it feminine you may want to pass. Within 15 minutes it calms down and the caramel, oak moss and cashmere join the party to smooth things out. I think the name with Morocco in it is fitting but this is not a date centered fragrance for me. The jasmine/rose/vanilla/ylang ylang so far is overpowering it but I’m getting a carmelized note. I see caramel listed as a note as well so could be either. It’s certainly sweet in all the right ways. I will update to a full review as I’ve had more time with it, just got the bottle direct from Electimuss 3/11/25. As I wear this more and it dries down it finally struck me why this is so familiar... reminds me a lot of Ex Nihilo Brompton Immortals EDP and that’s not a bad thing. Its the mix of rose/ylang ylang/jasmine/vanille that’s reminding me of it in big way, but I MUCH prefer Moroccan Medjool so far... if you like Brompton immortals, I would be SHOCKED if you don’t like this too. Longevity is top notch so far well over 12 hours while projecting quite well for 6-7. Extremely well blended and high performing scent from Electimuss here. Scent is not exactly what I was anticipating but I love it. Makes me no longer regret parting with Brompton as this is better and MUCH cheaper per ML.

Just received a sample when ordering Trajan directly from Electimuss London. When I tested it on skin, it was a gorgeous warm, dusty rose and fresh fragrance. Reminded me of something I smelled before but couldn’t remember. When I tested it again, the pin dropped...it reminded me of Kajal Lamar. This is a spicer version. Both are intense but I find Lamar has a bit of that BR540 airiness under the brightness of the top notes....where as MM doesn’t have that light airiness and is full bodied on my skin. I have Lamar...but yes I will be pre ordering MM as I do like that heavy warmth of MM as an alternative option for evenings or winter which Lamar doesn’t quite give on my skin.

Oh man! I am gonna be completely honest I have been slugging thru this electimuss sampler for a while now. Like I have been forcing myself thru it. This was an amazing surprise. I have tried around 20 of em and absolutely loved Caspian Cherry and Imperium. All the rest were simply not my cup of tea, until I tried Moroccan Medjool tonight. I am in love from 1st spray. Will 1000% be getting a full bottle. Incredible and (at least to me) unique scent profile. Chefs kiss.

Love this less sharp version of lamar wearable for me all day everyday don't mind the price as its outstanding and far better then lamar another hit from electimuss London just onto the performance two sprays has lasted all day Update Worn lamar on one arm and electimuss on the other Lamar is sharp and comes acrossed more synthetic this projected much more in to the late part of the day but I enjoyed the softer and sweeter electimuss but these are very close

This perfume is a pure elegance, we fight for it with my wife, longevity is a monster, simply the wife gave it in the morning, in the evening and gave another, and what do you say that the next day it smelled #Moroocan #Medjool the lot that I bought directly from the electimuss house ii It has a small difference in longevity, the oil can stay on your arm for up to 8 hours if you don't wipe it off, and the perfume can persist for 24 light hours

Rich, warm, luxe, blended to perfection, very much so a winter scent. The notes are seamless so it mostly smells like a very sophisticated gourmand with enough restraint to avoid being too thick or too sweet. It has a touch of lightness to it which I like bc its not cloying. A grown scent, but modern.

I love it! It's gorgeous. It's very intense and sweet. I mostly feel the vanilla leaning dates. They are fruity, sugary sweet, slightly spicy. Overripe! On my purchase list. It does not have the pineapple but I agree it smells as if it had one!

This is the first Electimuss in my collection. I have tried many, but nothing has really stood out to me. This scent is a bit bland overall, but the scent is so intoxicating and addictive for the first hour that I love it and keep spraying it. The sugary dates with the perfect spicy Cardamom smell irresistible. The scent is earthy thanks to Oakmoss and the sweet caramel melts perfectly around the dates. The floral heart is completely enveloped in this sweet, yet not edible, blend, but Carnation provides a spicy note, balancing the sweetness. Ylang Ylang, on the other hand, gives its own kind of sweetness to the dates and a fullness to the texture, which is not creamy at any point though. The aroma is sensual and seductive and works regardless of gender. As the scent develops, it gradually shifts towards a more masculine direction, losing its sweetness and the initial intoxicating feeling unfortunately disappears. The cashmere wood in the base makes the dry down feel synthetic and impersonal, but I really avoid that by adding scent often. The scent does last a long time, but it ends up being boring. Those who have a problem with adding scent probably won't appreciate the scent as much. You have to spray this a lot (also on your clothes) to bring out the potential of the scent. The whole trick is in the bubble and sillage of the scent, which follows you faithfully. If I rated the fragrance based on what I get out of it in the early part of its life cycle, I would say 8,5. If I were thinking about the dry down, the rating would be lower, something like 6. I like this much more when the weather is warm but it's a year around scent. Im a lover of date notes in fragrances and this is a pretty good one. Its that characteristic concentrated sweetness, and noticeable dense, chewy texture that comes across with a good date notes. One of the AI pro's is "Intoxicating and addictive sugary date opening" and I agree with it. Obviously the caramel and vanilla contribute greatly to the sweetness, but in the opening I could identify that particularly concentrated dollop of dense sweetness that the date note is known for. I have a collection of date, plum, dried fruit, and fig nectar fragrances, and this is as good or better than the other date notes I've experienced. Altjough the strength of this fragrance is the opening, the drydown isn't as "boring" or "plain" as some people claim. As Moroccan Medjool dries down, the rose, soft woods, spices and ambergris ascend to become more noticeable, balancing the intense sweetness.

I like this one. Sweet, jammy dates mixed with juicy rose and fuzzy cashmere. This is unisex leaning slightly female I would say, but certainly wear with confidence as a guy as well. It’s hard to pick out any one particular note besides maybe the rose here and there, very well blended.

I had high hopes, but like another reviewer mentioned, it is very similar to Lamar from Kajal, it is the same citrus-rose combo, here with a more prominent grapefruit and dates instead of pineapple.While it is very (crowd)-pleasing, I find it way overpriced for a dupe.

Sweet dates with citrus and some background florals is what I’m getting. So far this is my favorite from Electimuss out of the 6-7 of them I’ve tried. However I do think it may lean slightly masculine so maybe not for me.

I have tried several Electimuss fragrances and all have been a miss for me so far. Moroccan Medjool is the best Electimuss fragrance that I have tested so far, but I am still unsure if it is full bottle worthy to me. While it certainly has the somewhat synthetic feeling that I get with other fragrances from this brand, this one has a certain freshness and mossiness that I keep coming back to smell over and over. I do not get much dates or rose, but I do get grapefruit, carnation, moss, vanilla, and what I assume is ambergris. To my nose, Moroccan Medjool is not similar to either Brompton Immortals or Lamar. To my nose, Moroccan Medjool feels pretty unisex, modern, and fresh with a synthetic twist, but not necessarily in a bad way. I have very cool skin type and get very good longevity and moderate sillage.

On a test strip, this had potential. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. The opening, like smelling from a test strip, was wonderful. But later, it turned to a sweaty smell on my skin. Not pleasant. Thankfully, it only lasted just over 4 hours. Longer on my clothes so I changed shirts. If it works on your skin, good for you. It would have been nice if it had worked for me. Well onto the next one.

This is half a Christmas candle. The spices are missing... meh. My wife hates it. It is getting worse as it goes.

This smells so much like Lamar. Almost one-to-one. *Almost*. Obviously the notes are different (dates in place of pineapple being the biggest difference), but when you spray Medjool, if you are familiar with Lamar, you'll think they're the same... BUT! I sprayed Medjool on skin and tested it for a day, and I was slowly starting to dislike it as it dried down. So much so, that I was worried: I *really really* like Lamar. Or at least I thought I did. It was and is one of my first favourite fragrances, but I haven't worn it in a while. And as Medjool was drying, and I was disliking it more and more, I was worried that maybe my tastes had changed or if my nose had. So I decided to spend a day with Lamar - a few days after Medjool, so as to not be immediately biased - both to see if there were true differences between the 2, and also to have an honest assessment on whether my taste has changed. Fragrances are subjective, and this review isn't a deep dive into whether one is better than the other, but I can say this after wearing Lamar after Medjool: 1. Medjool is in fact different than Lamar. I still dislike the drydown of Medjool, and I'm relieved to report that Lamar didn't give me that reaction. Whatever their differences are, besides the pineapple, the direction Medjool takes is a scrubber *to me*, and Lamar remains a fragrance I still enjoy. In the mid and dry down, the rose is jammy, distinct, and I was not getting that from Medjool. Also, the pineapple that I get from Lamar, is much much better than the dates in Medjool. To *my nose*. For *my tastes*. And speaking of taste... 2. Yes, my taste has indeed changed slightly. Lamar, has gone from a "love" to a "like". It has been close to 3 years since I bought it, and in testing, owning and wearing other things, Lamar still smells incredibly good, but it isn't 100% "me". Aican by Kajal is definitely more me than Lamar these days. So I guess over time, what works for me has become more defined, and Lamar, as far as loud, fun, vibrant fragrances, has strayed a little out of my taste palette. And it took trying Medjool to realise it. So I guess that's the point of this review - not to say Lamar is definitely better than Medjool, or the other way around. More to say - always test fragrances, even if they're supposed to smell "exactly the same", because they may smell similar, but one might make you smile, and the other might make you sick, even if they smell "the same".

This is the first of hundreds of frags and decants that I truly dislike. It’s very sweet and the dates are prominent. I first enjoyed the spray, the date note is nice. After ten minutes or so it remained very sweet and a prominent synthetic smell took over my nostrils. This was a rare scrubber for me.

Opening with fresh citrusy and nutty accord, pleasant yet like something doesn’t add on together. As the minutes go by the caramel and ambergris notes come up, like an odd combination of notes. Confused what this is supposed to mean or smell like... like the armpit smell left on a wet shirt... The more the notes develop, the worse it gets. Honestly the caramel, ambergris, syrupy dates and the grapefruit accord just don’t match together. __________ Projection, sillage, longevity : 7/10 Originality, presentation : 4,5/10 Quality, value : 3/10 4,5/10

Had to return it... just oud and rose... it was overpowering and permeating. Once it’s sprayed there’s no getting away... had to scrub and scrub to finally get it off

I really enjoy this scent but it’s something I’d really like to smell on my wife Vs wanting to wear it myself. Very jasmine forward with dates, vanilla, light citrus, light caramel, and ylang ylang to give a fruit floral touch. Again, it’s very good for a lady. Just a bit too far fem for my taste. Men could just about pull it off if they really wanted to. This lasts about 7 hours with decent projection. Best suited for the transitional weather.

Overripe pineapple and dates with a slightly soapy and musky drydown. Comparisons with Lamar are accurate. However, I think this scent is a notch more masculine, like a pineapple version of Sauvage. Call me crazy but that is what I get on my skin. Do you like pineapple scents? you might like this a lot. A sample is enough for me.

I don’t like it at all. I don’t know if my experience suffers from having a dabber sample instead of being able to spritz, but I don’t feel like I’m getting any of the notes listed really. It’s just a pungent heavy masculine leaning smell on me..

It’s exactly like KAJAL’s LAMAR. I was utterly shocked when I first smelled it. Hard pass! 🥹
