I just purchased the boxed set of samples to try everything from this house, as I've heard nothing but high praise, and Puritas is the first one I've had a spray from. My jaw dropped. I adore the smell of the green Hojari royal frankincense and it's one of my favourite smells that I've ever smelt in my whole life. I burn it religiously at home, as I find it's a brilliant mood booster, and creates calm and focus to my ADHD brain. This frankincense is such a majestic and heavenly scent, the green tear drops of the resin themselves are even a true sight of beauty too. It is considered the highest quality of all frankincense grades and Puritas does it justice in clearly being a high quality perfume. To actually even find a perfume that captures this scent, and does so perfectly, is a dream come true for me. I am beyond excited to find this one, I just can't belive such a photorealistic rendition had been created like this. If you are a lover of a frankincense, you need to own this as a full bottle. I assure you that if you enjoy it then this will be the most save blind buy you could make, it's literally true green Horjai through and through and a real long lasting perfume with very good sillage and projection. This is it - this is the frankincense holy grail! This is a masterpiece made with extremely high quality ingredients that's actually bought tears to my eyes. I can't get over how perfect it is. I'm buying a full bottle immediately and also a back up, as I would easily place this in the top 30 perfumes that I've ever tried (and I've tried literally 1000s over the years). I want to wear it for the rest of my life!

Graceful white incense 🌫️🎐 Do you love frankincense in a fragrance? I really do because it adds depth and complexity to a fragrance. Today I'm happy to share my newest one and also the most unique frankincense I've had in my collection. Puritas from Electimuss is inspired by Vesta, the Roman goddess of purity, home and hearth. It has a very unique twist on blending the frankincense as the heart of this fragrance. The frankincense here is like already been purified from all the ashy and smokiness resulting a very clean smells. Imagine burning frankincense by using electric burner, the smell is light and has very modern feel contrasting to the traditional one found in incense lit with fire that is naturally very smokey and heavy. Despite the lightness it has very strong presence and intensity from the opening until drydown. The mid stage reminds me of Vixere from the same house that I adore. It has the creaminess and beautiful smells of beautiful white and yellow floral tones I really enjoy. Tonka bean at the base add a touch of sweetness just enough to create a very comforting experience in the drydown. Puritas will definitely satisfy Vixere lovers especially for the colder months. This fragrance is leaning more on the feminine side but very much everyone who love incense can definitely pull this off. #vscentorientreview

This is just a fantastic fragrance. I already had "Jupiter" from Electimuss, so I knew they used only the highest quality ingredients in their fragrances. I blind bought "Puritas" based on that positive experience. This is just a straight up stunner for cool - cold weather! I have never smelled another fragrance, niche or designer, which smells like this! This scent is RICH in its depth, and opulence. Yes, it's an incense fragrance, but far from the typical scent profile of that genre. Electimuss continues to impress. Their presentation is pure class. The bottle is super heavy and so is the metal cap. I still think they have a few too many rose-centric fragrances in the lineup, but I have no doubt of the quality of those blends. Another great fragrance formulated by Christian Provenzano. The opening is indeed quite medicinal, warm and peppery (elemi, pink pepper, absinthe and saffron), very unique... giving way to an amazing concoction of frankincense, rose, tuberose, geranium, ylang-yland and jasmine. Surely captivating! it reminds me of the smell you get from flicking the pages of very old books... the aroma of a very old wooden box...and then I feel transported into the corridors of an ancient and hidden library somewhere far away...ohhh I love it. Fragrantica, please update the notes and ingredients: MEDICINAL TOP: Elemi, pink pepper, absinthe, saffron FLORAL INCENSE HEART: Olibanum (frankincense), rose, Indian tuberose absolut, geranium, Chinese ylang ylang, Egyptian jasmine WOODY MUSKY BASE: Labdanum, patchouli, tonka, guaic, vetiver and amber

Yessss this one is so for me! Similar to my fave perfume, which isn't on fragrantica (yet 🤞) -Here We Belong 213 by Abstraction Paris- which has similar notes, but fewer, and feels more subtle and unique. but sometimes subtle and unique isn’t what you want! the patchouli in this is is very strong and easy to id, and surprisingly i really enjoy it, even though i’m not usually a big patch fan. i need to keep exploring frankincense frags to see if that’s the element in these two that really has a hold on me- this is definitely fbw. i have a 5ml decant i know was on a deep discount- i tremble to think what a full bottle costs bc i didn’t check! 😆 what a blend- i’ll be wearing this (or hwb 213) all through the cold months!

This is my first review on here. Puritas smells exactly like Green Hojari Royal Frankincense from Oman. Exactly. This fragrance is frankincense in its purest form. Other notes are there, but this is 95% lemony piney balsamic frankincense that is so good its almost unbelievable. It really is uncanny. This scent is very expensive. It is worth absolutely every penny. The materials used here are of the highest quality. This is the frankincense holy grail. Do keep in mind the incense vibe here is not burned. The smell here is pure warm melted down frankincense unburned by any harsh coals. This is resin sitting on a warm hotplate, not sitting on a coal. Important distinction there. This smells very "pure". No pun intended.

Up there as one of the best incense fragrances I've ever tried, and I've tried a few as incense is one of my favorite notes. I was initially afraid that the florals and especially the tuberose noted in the heart would be too much but no, this is mainly a peppery and wonderfully smooth incense. Not a churchy insense but indeed a light and bright one for most of the journey, leading to a drier woody base in the deeper drydown. The florals might be lending some of the smoother rounded ever so slightly creamy aspect to the overall feel. Thank you to the previous reviewers that helped alleviate my fears of the floral notes and made me try this out :)

Puritas is beautiful, floral incense with huge projection. Its similar to Resplendent by Boadicea in many ways and different too though I can't exactly put my finger on the differences just now. I have tried these both side by side though Resplendent seems better rounded and smoother. Puritas is extremely well made & value for money. In Puritas the florals, amber etc are so well blended with incense and is basically an incense centric frag. The type of incense thats not too floral or sweet.

I usually totally disagree with @ramsesll but not this time. This is a gorgeous blend of some of the finest frankincense I’ve smelled. The spicy peppery opening is to die for and the florals are just a beautiful supporting cast to that heavenly frankincense (olibanum). One of mg favorite offerings from the house and they have many that I love. This is up there with amber aqualaria for me. Must try if you are a frankincense or incense lover...

This was a successful blind buy. But I can see why it has a sub - 4 rating. It isn't for everyone. A cold bright incense with a sweetened floral heart. Really calming for me. I originally sampled Jupiter and almost picked that. But I saw that this had elemi and Absinthe. Additionally it has patchouli, which I am a sucker for. All together it just works. Nicely done.

A very pleasant and uplifting summer incense. Quite powdery, and not at all what I was expecting. I fond it pretty linear and I cant isolate very many notes at all, but I really enjoy the blend. It's light enough to be enjoyed in mild heat, but I'd want something much heavier for the colder months, like Bois Sikar or any number of Prin Lomros' incensed creations.

Puritas by Electimuss is an absolutely unique fragrance. The resins, labdanum and absinthe create a refreshing, rich, yet clean effect. It's like a waterfall with a mystical flare. It lasts for roughly 6 hours. Completely unisex. It's not playful, nor boring.

This is a rare thing. Powdery but bold, leans masculine, with incense smoke similar to the one you feel entering the orthodox church, with earthy undertones and a hint of patchouli. This scent has an unusual dusty aspect and is hardly suitable for a young person. Deep, dusky, dense. Definitely worth trying. Very interesting and original but not my choice for the full bottle. And not a blind buy! P.S. Two years later I finally own the bottle of this beauty - it was not the love from first sight, but definitely a kind of time-tested attraction.

Borderline 😑 This stuff is kinda gnarly. Tenuous, resinous pepper and florals. Noxious spice bomb 💣 The base remains the same after the opening, but this surreal bed of nuance seems to develop. The undertone is more complex than the base. On paper, it collapses into itself and becomes a spicy laundry pod within a hour. Lasts longer on skin. Makes for an interesting blend. However, me no like! Okay, me like a little. Very niche character. Just not something I could wear. What’s good about it fades away too quickly.

Austere yet bright floral incense reminiscent of an older composition by the same perfumer for Boadicea. The scent opens with aromatic notes of elemi, pink pepper and absinthe before going into a floral heart of rose, geranium, slight tuberose and labdanum. The perfume settles fairly quickly into its olibanum base surrounded by tonka, amber, and patchouli. The unisex scent has moderate to strong projection and good longevity. The perfume is well composed and lingers on the skin leaving a calming trail. Enjoy!

White floral absinthe. An odd mixture of cool and airy, yet resinous and medicinal. Dry, green, biting absinthe and bubblegum tuberose stand out to me in the opening, quickly followed by a subtle fruity sweetness and light incense. The frankincense dominates the drydown, an almost soapy clean white smoke scent. Moderate projection for 4-5hr, longevity 8-10hr.

Very unique and niche creation. Especially the opening. It's an amber fragrance with a backbone of slightly bright booze and woods. On my skin the absinthe accord remains the during the dry down. I would not blind buy this. It has a medicinal quality to it. I really like it, but I don't think I'd wear it.

This opens with a blast of pepper and frankincense. Moves into a spicy tuberose before settling into a frankincense amber. This is refined, complex, and grand. It reminds me of Amouge perfumes. Projection is strong. Longevity a good 8 hours +.

I like this one. Spicy, woody, a little boozy, and clean initially. after a 2.5 hour dry down it settles down into a super clean aquatic and woody smell nice and light if you do not like strong fragrances.

Nice refreshing opening with a touch of sweetness that quickly develops into spicy floral scents with lots of patchouli and musk underneath. It reminds me of a classic chypre with a modern twist, still somewhat soapy. I can imagine that it could be a nice scent for a mature gentleman. Follow me on IG: scent.guide
