Vici Leather

Best leather fragrance! Period!! I got the 20 piece box sample of Electimuss fragrances. I already ordered Persephone's Patchouli which is a love from first sniff. I'll wait till I get a full bottle for that review as it reminds me so much of Straight to Heaven which I love. Now back to Vici Leather. When I sampled it, I just sprayed a little on my wrist, big mistake. The quantity of the samples is enough for 2 to 3 full wearing. Anyways I didn't like it. It smelled like rough damp leather and animalic, not my cup of tea I had to spray another fragrance to mask that smell. But yesterday, I decided I will do a full wearing of each fragrance for the whole day, and Vici Leather was on my mind because even though it was repulsive on first spray there was something exciting in there... So around 4:30pm I sprayed Vici Leather and decided to go for a short walk in a 38 degrees Chicago weather. As soon as I got out of the building I smelled something so seductive,it made me look around but alas, there was no one there. Then I thought it was my scarf smelling of Gisada Ambassador from the day before. But I know the smell of Gisada and with all the YouTube hype, that was a terrible blind buy. I keep getting wafts of a very seductive leather that's like rough leather and sweet suede mixed together. It doesn't have the sweetness of Cuir Velour by Naomi Goodsir(another favorite). Vici Leather is matured, sweet with a tinge of bitterness, super luxurious. I'm not an adept on notes, but the feeling I get wearing this is the feeling of being a millionaire, feeling like a sexy MF. I feel like I have no worry in the world. My next buy ASAP. And it will be my all-season fragrance. Get it, don't paper sniff it. Wear it, and you'll love the way you feel. Update: so I bought it, I love it, but I realize what drives this is the tuberose! I happened to spray Franck Boclet Cocaine and for a brief moment, somewhere in between, I could not tell the difference from Vici Leather. I love Vici Leather, I might just love it a little more when layered with FB's Cocaine. This means you have to love tuberose.

Vici Leather is an outlandishly opulent and impressive leather chypre which immediately subverts expectations as the wormwood and pink pepper combine for an illuminated green boozy open which is curiously and delightfully fresh. The cinnamon provides a contrasting sweet and warm glow upon which the smoky and supple brown leather and indolic tuberose dance beautifully for prominence. Eventually the leather is victorious, hence Vici Leather, however the green mentholic ghost of tuberose never fully disappears. Finally a comforting and delectably sweet, smoky and resinous amber envelopes the composition. The quality of this blend and materials used is truly second to none, the first thing that struck me when smelling it, is how non-commercial and artisanal it feels. Artisanal in its ability to evoke nature, places, memory and emotion, but without any of the drawbacks of many artisanal creations such as subpar blending and short lived naturals. Amongst the seemingly endless 'inspired by' niche releases that have nothing authentic to say, Vici Leather is an original creation that confidently nods at the grand chypre of yesteryear while remaining wearable and contemporary. It is sensual, bold, loud, daring unisex for both genders, never boring and a resounding victory.

Another house I didn't know until recently recommended by a friend. All of their perfumes are inspired by the ancient world and there is definitely an element to it that has all the camp of a togas-and-sandals epic, but in a very good way. This one is inspired by Caesar's immortal quote, but I guess they must have caught him on a more seductive day off from the battlefield because the leather notes here are warm and sweet rather than raucous and outdoorsy. The leather notes somehow both enmesh with and stand in counterpoint to the dominant tuberose. There's a lot of warmth in this fragrance: leather, pink pepper, cinnamon, amber etc. So, while I can see how the tuberose would make it a perfectly comfortable spring wear, I have immediately taken to it as a great autumn-winter warmer; imagine Sophia Loren and Charlton Heston joining each other for warmth on a pile of furs in Caesar's camp while the snow falls outside... I'm not big on assigning gender to fragrances, but if you are looking for a gift, this is a good option for any man or woman who likes their fragrances on the spicy, seductive side without being too obvious.

This opens up very smoky leather medicinal. I immediately liked it, and immediately recognized the artistry and niche profile. It is very masculine, and the drydown us gorgeous. This is not a mass pleasing designer-plus scent. It is a completely unique, powerful and strong, but beautiful and addicting combination of medicinal herbal notes, sweet rough leather and a warm spicy amber foundation. I love this house and this is one of my favorites. This is a masterpiece, in my opinion. But it won't please everyone. With that said, the mid at about 30 minutes in is a showstopper. Bravo. This smells like every single dollar spent on it. Rare.

Soft, supple leather sandwiched between a caked-on layer of sweet cinnamon and warm balsamic notes. The spices give it a sort of fuzzy, powdery, suede-like texture. There's some underlying smoky woods plus a faint hint of absinthe, but I'm not really picking up tuberose. Moderately strong projection for 3-4hr, longevity 8-10hr. A unique ambery leather scent that, to my nose, isn't as aggressively animalic as a lot of other reviews claim. I find it quite pleasant and genteel.

Extremely expensive, mature, and rich smelling. This is one of, if not the, most exclusive and high quality smelling frags I've ever put my nose on. Also, it smells incredible. Not for younger club boys and confidence is required. Its a beautiful blend of unapologetic leather, creamy tuberose and pepper. The opening is dominant, and the drydown gorgeous. This is a rare masterpiece and the best from the house, in my opinion. And that's saying something. 10/10

This is truly amazing. Mysterious, leathery, creamy, spicy and just downright beautiful. My first Electimuss and I’m super happy with it. I will say that there are definitely resemblances to TF Noir Extreme Parfum when Vici Leather dries down after about 30min-1hr except it’s not as sweet as Noir Extreme Parfum. This is more dense and definitely spicier. I think owning both may be a tiny bit redundant although both are incredible fragrances. 9/10!

Underrated gem If you love spicy fruity leather, this will be at the top of the selection on the male niche side of things. Rough at first. And then, when the vinyl and leather die down, it smells like expensive really good artisan bay licorice in the drydown. Its a really good type of bad, if you like that kind of thing.

A beautiful fragrance. Julien Rasquinet does it again. Enjoyably unique. An initial kick of wormwood and cinnamon soon gives way to a buttery tuberose upon a smooth leather. Very attractive, and quite a sexy fragrance. A new favourite of mine. Performance is very good, so don't overspray.

This is gorgeous. Rich balsamic, boozy and spicy in the opening with a little bit of smokiness. It makes me imagine myself watching the sunset at the end of a productive day and feeling a sense of accomplishment and contentment. This is like that warm, relaxing and cosy flush you get from drinking bourbon or scotch in the depths of winter. It feels like you've just come back home from a long countryside walk, drying off in your leather jacket by the roaring fireside along with a glass of something sweet and strong. Slowly drinking it and enjoying the moment you feel your body relax. The name of this one is inspired by the Latin phrase "I came, I saw, I conquered" and I think it fits the scent well. I can picture a warrior who's embracing his lover by an open fire as they both drink in celebration, enjoying the feeling of victory after the battle has been won. An appreciation of the feminine meeting the masculine and of what is bitter and sweet in this life.

This is a pretty cool one. I tested Amber Aquilaria recently and I agree with others who voted this has similarity, but the difference here is some excellent use of the Wormwood and whatever is in those "balsamic notes" to give this kind of herbal/green hot apple cider element to this mainly spiced amber based fragrance. The leather in this one is there, it kind of wafts in and out which is cool. Well balanced and not too overpowering, an elegant leather blend I'd say. If I had to ding it, I'd say it can get a little sharper in the drydown as those herbal elements from the top die down. But I like this, tempted to get a bottle if I see one well discounted. As a side note, I am normally a hater of Tuberose but Electimuss has used it in a few fragrances now and they seem to use it well and not go overboard with it so it just lend a bit of creamy floral elements.

Pleasant floral leather scent that radiates warmth and happiness. The scent opens briefly with aromatic notes of artemisia, pepper and cinnamon before going into a dense prolonged heart of tuberose and a leather accord. As the perfume dries off one can detect synthetic musk, balsamic resin and ambery notes. The unisex scent has moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. Recommended for wintry weather and is a leather scent unlikely to offend anyone. Enjoy!

Extremely dark and smoky leather with spicy (and almost salty) undertones. For me personally it smells like a wet industrial road with tire particles and a bit of gasoline. It’s very brutal and unusual, but quite nice. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

Leather - yes, animalic - yes stable saddle hints...pungent - no but also not completely pleasant...like earthy but not soily, sweet - yes much, on the edge for me...original, dense, more for the winter months and female friendly. There is something too sweet, something slightly floral...not violet or rose but like jam...boiled cranberry? Blueberry? Dark brown with purple-red reflections but shiny rather than matte. It's not a pure leather scent, it has a lot of impurities, maybe too much. The opening hour also held on to the metallic note of heated tin. From 2nd hour cigar tobacco gains its strenght. If you want leather, but a little artificial, and don't mind sweetness and a little retro feel at the same time, give it a try. For me, more no than yes, but ... it's unique. 120Euro for 100ml is a bit steep.

This fragrance contains Hexyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, and Benzyl Salicylate. Animal studies have demonstrated that Hexyl Cinnamal is an endocrine disruptor. In 2009, "The Journal of Applied Toxicology" published an in-vitro study (i.e., conducted on human breast cells) which demonstrated that the chemicals known as Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, and Butylphenyl methylpropional (aka Lilial) are all estrogenic (aka "oestrogenic" in the U.K.) chemicals--do better, Electimuss. Choosing to smell sexy shouldn't be a hazardous decision.

Gnarly, green, peppery leather. You’ve gotta really love leather... Inharmonious and imbalanced. Conflicting. Challenging, in a bad way. Maybe they were going for a refined, mature scent. That, this may be. An old man’s nicher. I just don’t see wanting to smell like this, or anyone else wanting you to smell like this. I could see calling this “Gladiator Leather,” as the fragrance seems to be fighting itself...

Vici Leather by Electimuss is a captivating fragrance that blends leather with hints of tuberose. It has a warm balsamic aroma. Bitterness and powdery aspects add a refined and balanced touch. It leads masculine, yet it maintains a gentle character that would please many women as well. It conjures images of a sophisticated gigolo, exuding warmth, primal instincts, and charm.

Dark spicy leather. The cinnamon packs a punch coupled with pink pepper. It is interesting but I don't love it enough to buy a whole bottle.

Iniially smells like rubber. Not that I particularly enjoy smelling like rubber, however once it dries down it becomes a more pleasant leather fragrance. Not for me, but will sample again.
