Cuir Ylang

Got myself bottle with batch code from 2016-07-29 for 75$. I have looked on website and looks like collection is discontinued. Presentation is beautiful with magnetic cap, atomizer is good. Bottle is dark, and you are not able to see how much juice is left. Scent is beautiful combination of leather and banana peel. If you find somewhere leftover bottle, get it.

Yum....my nose keeps getting plastered to my arm. Warm, clean, musky leathery. The buttery ylang is sunny and really adds a honeyed nectarine tone. Along with what feels like pale, creamy dried wood and musk here too. I get a comforting but sexy vibe off this. Do I wear leather or cashmere? Hmmm I think both. I’m enjoying this beautiful forcefield.

Nice simple and linear birch tar fragrance, giving an impression of leather. It opens fresh (nearly aldehydic, as the previous reviewer said) thank to the ylang-ylang, and will keep the freshness all the way. Shortly after, the birch tar engage, and hint of incense appears in the background, and that will be the only evolution. Reminds me of a few other fragrances, but I have been unable to tell which. (Molinard Cuir maybe?) Very unisex. Kurkdjian surprised me with Saab's Essence line, and here I expected a little better tbh. Furthermore, performance is below average. In summary: good but not great, and even at discounters pricing (currently ~$90), I feel that there are more interesting fragrances to explore around that price point. Just my 2 cents! Elie Saab Cuir Ylang (2016) - tropical leather - #franciskurkdjian makes a perfume out of 2 main accords: Leather & Ylang ylang as the name implies. Here you smell the finest full-grained leather with a hint of smoke & rubber and its the star of the show. Ylang ylang in this perfume helps to support the perfume by creating a buttery softness and an almost coconut backbone. Unique.

I blind bought this for 2 reasons: 1 -> I am a huge fan of Elie Saab/MFK fragrances so I had to have this in my collection and 2 -> I LOVE Ylang Ylang, it is one of my absolutely favorite notes in perfumes so I thought this couldn't get wrong. BUT I MADE A MISTAKE! I bought this one out of all the Cuir Collection because of the Ylang Ylang, but I cannot smell any Ylang Ylang at all!! This to me is pure leather. I really don't like this and I don't see myself wearing this at all. I will only keep it because of the bottle and the packaging (and of course being an Elie Saab fan, I had to have one of the Cuirs in my collection)

السلام عليكم ورحمه الله وبركاته عشاق العطوره اينما كنتم . من دار الديزاينر الفرنسيه الي صعب... الي صعب هو مصمم ازياء لبناني..... عطر جلد ايلانغ..... تم اصدار العطر سنه 2016 من طرف العطرجي فرانسيس كركيجان.... العطر هو عباره عن نيش...في عبوه ديزاينر.... عطر معقد ومتفرد خاصه في افتتاحيته ....شرقي بإمتياز افتتاحيه قويه ...و طاغيه من الجلد القاتم... و الثقيل على شاكلة....عطر غوتشي غيلتي آبصولي ... تليها مباشرة نوتة ازهار صفراء..."الإيلانغ" بالتحديد....ما لاحظته هنا ان رائحة الجلد الطاغية تكبح جماح هاذي الرائحة الزهرية التي ...ستحس لها في الخلفية...فقط.... في قلب العطر ....تبزغ تلك النوتة الزهرية اكثر..."الإيلانغ"....مع نوتة عنبرية راتينجية..حادة....و نوتة خشبية ظاهرة......فيصبح العطر و كأنك تشم رائحة عيدان العنبر المشتعلة.... العطر شتوي خريفي....بإمتياز.... ليس للشراء العمياني....ليس للمبتدئين ...في هذا المجال....يصلح للباس الرسمي و للعاملين في ادارة... الثبات...جيد....الفوحان...جيد...من الأحسن عدم اكثار الرش....5 رشات ....كافية للارتداء اليومي.... في الاخير ادعوا اخواني محبي...الرائحة....الجلدية و محبي الاكتشافات الجديدة....ان يحاولوا تجربته.... دمتم في رعاية الله و حفظه....سلام ❤️🙏🤚

I wasn't expecting to like another one from this collection but my unexpected success with Cuir Bourbon made me curious about the others in this line and Ylang, I figured had a better chance than patchouli. The leather is what hits you first, as with bourbon, but it melds in with the other notes almost immediately. The ylang is such a bright floral note but I also pick up on the subtle fruity (banana) undertones that ylang sometimes exhibits, all of which is enveloped in a beautiful incense-y, smoky note. There is such an interesting duality here - it's resinous, leathery, smoky/incense but also fruity, floral and tropical blended masterfully into an intoxicating and very unique fragrance.. I've never smelled anything quite like it. I thought bourbon would be the clear winner here but this one is just as special, if not more in some ways.

This is quite the fresh ylang leather fragrance. It has slight vanilla to sweetin the leather ylang blend, some bergamot, and white floral. Quite different and very much wearable.

Very aldehydic, like Chanel No 5 or Estée Lauder White Linen. The freshest of this Cuir Collection.

Layered with BabyCat or Un Bois Vanille.... Thank me later🤗
