Elie Saab Le Parfum Rose Couture

We all have those perfume notes that are a "safe bet" for us. Then there are others that are the opposite. And the note "Rose" is one of those. It can either go VERY right...or VERY wrong for me. Never in the middle with any that I've experienced. At least not with any perfumes where Rose is a PROMINENT note or in the title. My most recent try...was Kim Kardashian's "Fleur Fatale." THIS perfume is what I had hoped that one would be. Fleur Fatale, which I had read many positive reviews on...was just so "dusty" and as much as I hate to say it..."old-ladyish." It honestly was just awful on me. And I hate to say negative things about perfumes or write negative reviews on them. But it was cheap so I took the plunge. Now this one...I've had my eye on for a while and since it is rose-prominent, mixed with the fact that it's pretty pricey...I hadn't bought it. All of a sudden...there's tons of listings on Ebay for it for dirt cheap. I bought a 1oz bottle on Ebay, brand new....for $9.95USD. Sprayed it...and low & behold...I love it! There are very few rose-prominent fragrances that I even LIKE...let alone, LOVE! I absolutely love this! All I smell of all the notes above are rose, peony, litchi, and just a light whisper of caramel. But this is beautiful! It is not so....powdery and musty like so many rose fragrances turn. It does not smell like your grandma's pungent floral-powdery rose lotion or perfume. This is beautiful. And due to the not- overpowering sweetness and freshness from the litchi...this would be beautiful in the spring time or summer. But as I write this review...it is December and cold where I live and this is still a very nice, clean, CLASSY perfume. This is really versatile. This is one of the first rose-centric perfumes that I've EVER smelled that is so age-versatile. I could see a 25 year old wearing this...as well as a 50 year old. This was VERY well done. I absolutely LOVE the original Le Parfum by Elie Saab with the golden/brown liquid so I guess I should've expected that this would be very well made. So all in all...I really love this! It's unique, elegant, and most importantly...a safe bet for people who are nervous about rose-prominent scents. Projection - 3 feet. Longevity - 5 hours. Overall Score - 8.5/10 Beautifully done and perfect for any occasion and any time of the year! I've gotta buy more from this house!

Historically I have avoided rose scents in favor of white florals, but I am taking a more open-minded approach these days and knew that my tiny beginner's collection would not be complete without at least one rose. I looked specifically for a light spring/summer rose with sweetness to it at a low price point. There are many fragrances that fit the brief, so when in doubt, I chose to trust Francis Kurkdjian and blind bought a new tester bottle on eBay for a song. I don't think I could have chosen better! I am really enjoying this fragrance and reach for it more often than I expected. It may well smell like a lot of other perfumes on the market, but I don't have them and don't run into them so I can take this for what it is. I have sampled some trendy designer scents and a couple of classic roses, and none of those were as fresh and friendly as this. The rose and peony take center stage without being overwhelming, the fruit and white florals keep things light, the caramel has lovely sweetness and depth without ever becoming sugary, and the classic vanilla patchouli and sandalwood base make this a well rounded classic that is well blended, fresh, and romantic. I doubt Kurkdjian considers this his greatest work but it's certainly nothing to be ashamed of, it's so very well done. The longevity on skin is brief, but it lives long and well on fabric. Overall, being able to own this lovely FK blend at its current low price is a real gift. I'd also like to share that I am middle aged, happily single and child-free, and I don't believe scents have an age limit. I fully understand growing into and out of fragrances, I know I have grown into a lot of complex scents I would not have worn in my youth, but in other ways I have finally grown into embracing joy and have stopped caring what others think. To be honest, the older and crustier I get, the more determined I am to value and celebrate those times when I feel tender and romantic and joyful, and this scent helps me do just that.

I am a rose lover and I can't even count how many rosey perfumes I've tested till now..but I really can't get the point of calling this sweet,gorgeous velvety rose generic because after testing so many rosey perfumes I can't name any fragrance similar to this one and I believe even if they were similar perfumes,this is not a down side..it's not dark,not invasive,not special not even too much rosey,but it has a young,cheerful and lovely personality This is sweet,it's obvious according to list of notes,but it's not a sugar bomb,not even a rose bomb It opens with lovely fresh rose,peony and orange blossom,also fruity notes start to show up since first sprayed and turn that light rose to a delicious marmalade rose which dries down to a cozy rose,warm,caramelly and creamy..if there was not vanilla,caramel and sandalwood le parfum rose couture would be a generic fruitchouli for me but not now and thanks god I don't find the sweetness cloying or fruity notes sticking..there is a freshness present even in it's warm dry down..I also find it a tad powdery,a powderyness like valentino donna's which I die for,maybe my nose has tricked me or it's about rose or vanilla playing the role of powder here.all in all it's a soft and sweet floral on me with slightest hint of other notes(vanilla,fruitchouli)to make it more interesting Best season for wearing this sweet young rosey fragrance is spring,also fall I find it differant from other elie saabs(which I love them all)but not a bad job,this is wearable and likable by younger audiences and rose lovers,after all francis kurkdjian is a mastermind good longevity on my skin but sillage is softer comparing to other Elie saabs.. after some hours you may not notice it yourself but it is still there,so don't overspray... Recommended to whoever likes their gourmands to be soft and with powdery floral/rosey twist..this is a floralfruitygourmand more than just a floral IMO ❤❤❤❤

I love elie saab rose couture so much.it's one of best perfumes I have and it's my signature now.I don't like most of elie saab le parfums but this is different and it is very lovely.I love peony and it is full of peony and beautiful pink rose.and I smell sweet and a little sour fruity.I don't find patchouli.no caramel.but I find in here something that smell like lipstick and powdery.this perfume is feminine and romantic and classy.when I use it everybody love it.I use it everytime.more often at spring and summer.longevity is very good.when I use it in morning it is not need spray it again in workplace.sillage is moderate.I'm happy it isn't very expensive.it has moderate prcallïnd I can buy more bottles.I suggest everybody try this beautiful perfume.it's good for all age بااینکه اکثر ادکلن های الیه صعب.مورد پسند من نیستن اما عاشق الیه صعب رز کوچور هستم که کاملا با بقیه فرق میکنه و درحال حاضر عطر امضای منه.من عاشق عطر پیونی هستم و این ادکلن سرشار از عطر ریبای گل پیونی هست در کناذ رز صوذتی و دوست داشتنی که اصلا سنگین و یادآور مکان های مذهبی نیست.ترکیبات میوه ای ترش و شیرین(بیشتر شیرین) هم هستن و یک بوی پودری زیبا شبیه به بوی رژلب.اما نعنای هندی و کارامل حس نمی کنم.این ادکلن عطر بسیار رومانتیک و زنانه و شیکی داره.هرموقع استفاده. می کنم همه. تعریف می کنن..این عطر

Rose Couture is a super-pretty gourmand rose. Caramel isn't even in the official notes on the Elie Saab website, but I understand why it's voted so highly: This is a syrupy, yummy rose nectar that has the same thick creamy texture as caramel has. Besides that, I notice a lot of vanilla and some patchouli in this. The peony and the fresh fruity lychee give the fragrance some airiness and make it versatile and easy to wear. This is a fragrance that gets better as it dries down, even though it doesn't change dramtically, it just warms up beautifully. I don't get the signature orange blossom of the original Le Parfum in this. But I see some similarities to other Francis Kurkdjian fragrances. Rose Couture does to rose jelly what My Burberry does to a wet garden and Kenzo World does to artificial fruit notes. They all have a similar juicy, lush feel to them. Maybe it's not the most innovative scent ever, but I like it much better than many other rose flankers of recent years. It's dreamy.

This was such a pleasure to purchase! First the box is beautiful and I love the use of actual ribbon not a fake drawing or raised print for the ribbon. I also was shocked the box I grabbed was the full size bottle of perfume and a small spray bottle as well. The bottle is simple but beautiful. The fragrance is the same. Simple but really beautiful. Clean fresh floral. I have. A lot. Of “rose” florals. So when I found this at Marshall’s very cheap I was afraid to grab and hopped here to read reviews which mainly said it was floral. I love all florals and thought. Why not. I am glad I got it! It’s starch and patchouli mixes with the florals well. The jasmine stands out more than rose. But the rose and vanilla patchouli base is beautiful. Daily or even night wear. For a supposed EDT this has great staying power. On clothes and skin. I will say it reminds me a bit of Cartier’s fragrances and even Sarah Jessica’s lines but it’s still unique. 9/10!

I love this but I'm saving it for early spring because I can tell by the notes and how it performs in fall, that this fragrance is meant to perform her best in cool spring weather. I get gorgeous subtle hints of what's to come this spring and I'll wait so that I can experience this in all it's glory and not waste my bottle trying to force her to sing when it's not yet her time. This is a beautiful candied fresh rose, deep and romantic. Wow! She's a stunner! This is what I expected from Vljuicy couture rose. Funny it's Rose Couture that got it right. I think if you enjoy Very Good Girl then you'll likely enjoy Rose Couture. They're not the same but they're similar in performance and family. And both do well in spring weather. It is yummy in fall weather but I think litchi works best in the warm up after a long cool winter and the litchi is a major player in this. Litchi works so well with rose 🌹💋❤️ it's ladylike yet delicious 😋...

Not nearly as bad as some of the reviews make it sound. Of course it's nothing like the original, it's not exceptional, but I like Rose Couture way better than L'Extase Caresse de Roses, which, by the way, I don't find similar to Rose Couture at all (apart from the top notes). I prefer it to the almondy L'Eau Couture as well. Rose couture is a lipstick-y rose with some patchouli thrown in, sweet and sour at the same time (more sweet than sour). It's one of those modern perfumes that remind you of other perfumes. I like that the rose is candied and paired with patchouli, as I'm not a big fan of natural-smelling, dewy or lush Bulgarian roses. I'm sure that people like me will enjoy it. Rose Couture is going straight onto my wishlist. Edit: I just tested it again and yes, the resemblance it bears to L'Extase is undeniable. Not so sure I need it after all. Still, Rose Couture is a good example of a lighthearted modern rose scent.

What a BEAUTIFUL classy, sweet rose. The peach and litchi are very dominant in the opening, but then I get more of the peach and the rose. I just cannot believe how classy peach and rose smell together. When this settles, I smell peach, rose, litchi, vanilla, and a hint of caramel. So a very sweet, but fresh, classy rose. Very unique. The litchi makes it fresh, the peach makes it classy, and the vanilla with caramel makes it deliciously sweet. I have a lot of rose fragrances, and this one smells nothing like the rest. This is a fairytale rose, in a magical seductive garden, meant to lure you into a life of sweet faerie insanity and servitude. But also classy. Haha. Edited to add: a previous reviewer likened this to Coco Madamoselle...and weirdly, I do see the similarities, but Rose Couture is much sweeter...and less clean smelling.

Elie Saab Rose Couture is probably the most underrated fragrance in my collection. I've owned it for over a year but disregarded it as a simple rose scent until recently. I wore my rose couture in 70 degree F weather and was stunned by how lovely it was. The words that come to mind are: makeup bag, cozy, romantic, sweet, gorgeous, modern, signature. ESRC is surprisingly well performing for an EDT. I only just realized that it was not an EDP. But, do not be mistaken, this scent is full bodied and rich enough to be worn all year long. It satisfied my need for a slightly gourmand rose in the Spring/Summer time. This RC is no longer ignored in my collection. It has now moved to the front row.

Amazing parfum! I fell in love with this one. It's not this 'tea rose'smell or a pepper roze (like Givenchy irrisistable) No, this is a sugary, vanilla warm and cozy Rose! The opening is devine with rose, peony and orangeblossem. Then when the orange starts to fade, the vanilla and fruit come in. I so so love this in combination with the rose. the dry down is warm with patchouli and sandelwood. And not forget; the rose. After 3 hours I can smell it softly on my skin. This is a cuddle and comforting rose. I don't mind spraying again! ;-) In winter this gives me the feeling of walking true a sunny rose garden! Beautyful in every way. Good job Elie! 9/10

I'm a lover of Elie Saab perfumes but not usually a fan of rose notes (except BS Smokey Rose is to die for in the fall). I wanted to try it and it's a lovely surprise! It's not your typical mature rose scent - it's very sweet and sensual. The peony is large and in charge and caramel is it's partner. The caramel combined with its florals makes it smell like pink cotton candy. :) The disappointing longevity reviews are true - it only lasts a couple of hours and then it's barely noticeable, which is sad.

If you are debating purchasing this perfume- this is your sign to get it. Scent is literally everlasting- I can smell it on clothes and bedsheets days after wearing and the sillage is insane. Without a hint of exaggeration every single day I have worn this I've got compliments. At one point this was my signature scent and I was known as 'the girl who smells good'. Wish I still had it so I could comment more on the scent in particular, but this was just the memory of my experience.

I love this stuff so much. I have 30+ bottles and this is the one with the most dent. I don't smell floral at all? I mean, maybe there's a hint of floral, but to me, this smells really fresh. I'm not the best at describing, but I don't think this is sweet either. A fresh scent with a slight hint of floral. I love, love, love this so much. If I ever ran out of it, I'd 100% repurchase. I always wear this when I feel girly & pretty, if that makes sense.

Rose Couture is my introduction to the Elie Saab brand. I think it's a fruity candied rose fragrance. I have a sample but I should've done a blind buy. It would've been worth the risk. I chose this because of the caramel and vanilla notes because I like floral on the sweet side. I'm a gourmand fragrance lover, and this is just sweet enough for me. I love Rose Couture and can see it going on my top shelf.

I love this perfume so much. It lasts a long time for me. It gets deeper and even lovelier after awhile. I wish it wasn't so hard to get in the US, though. Couldn't find it to buy from any trustworthy stores so bought on Ebay... and it was fake. Had to order a new bottle from Europe. Hopefully this one is real.

I love this! I get a very fresh, pretty and sweet pink rose and some litchi. So pretty and nothing common or average. Not really like Si Armani as mentioned below, not at all powdery as Narcisos. Perhaps Kurkdjian trade marked after all. If only I could get it to last on my skin as it does on my pillow 😌

This is the only mainstream parfüm wich I love very much- I use only niche fragrances but this is a very beautifule parfume-my favorite summer rose scent. On me it us lasts 8 hours and it has good sillage. Nice rose with fruits and a little sweetness but ligt airy freshness...Fairy parfume!!!

I thought that I didn't like powdery perfumes, but this one is certainly powdery, sweet and powdery, and I love it. Everything comes together so well. It feels very luxurious to me, it has both innocence and elegance. Perfect for a bride really :-) ... and it makes me happy

This is so good. I mean its not floral for me. Its super sweet and there is a rose...but its a tart rose. Candy rose! I own 13 Elie Saab fragrances. Its my favorite obviously. It lasts on me but I overspay my perfumes.

It's very pretty. However the sillage is soft and I prefer stronger perfumes. But I guess this one is appropriate for work in an office because I believe it won't annoy anyone. It doesn't last long either.

I love this rose-peony-caramel stunner! Wow! It's beautiful, modern and easy to wear. Classy, not to sweet. I got so many compliments wearing this. So sad it's discontinued.

Another beautiful fragrance by Francis Kurkdjian! A gorgeous powdery rose, reminds me of Donna Valentino - absolutely wonderful.

If Ralph Lauren’s “Romance” and Valentino’s “Donna” got married, moved to the suburbs and had a baby it would be called “Rose Couture” by Elie Saab. This perfume was one of those impulse buys that smelled great at the counter but was a regrettable experience when worn at home. Not that there is anything unpleasant about this fragrance, it is just too overwhelmingly sweet and too familiar to my nose, as if I’ve smelled hundreds before just like it. RC feels like an inferior flanker (a branch-off of something extraordinary) in its current form, there are so many possibilities here but unfortunately that potential was never realized. For starters, the rose is obnoxiously flagrant – it seemed to have drowned out all the other notes. Heck I can barely detect the caramel and vanilla, where is the supposed litchi? Where is the sandalwood? This fragrance feels TOO safe, just your basic floral and some weaker notes stumbling offstage somewhere. If you took Valentino’s Donna and stripped it of its lipstick scent, subdued the boozy vanilla and leather; if you took out the patchouli and watered it down with liquid candy...you would have Rose Couture. The projection is strong, the longevity is moderate. The dry down is extremely bland; it smells like a weaker version of itself. Overall, a very generic floral that smells safe and unexceptional- possibly within the same category as La Vie Est Belle by Lancome. If you are looking to smell like everyone else, Rose Couture would be the ideal candidate. However if you’re the kind who goes against the grain, consider skipping out on this flanker. Vienna.Pink

It's a simple sweet, slightly powdered rose that grows sexier upon drydown. Nowhere near a gourmand type like La Vie Est Belle but bears elements of LVEB without the blackcurrant (a specific note in that composition is stopping me from buying a bottle). Peony tempers the rose somewhat, and as a pairing it stops this from being a more mature rose. As Le Parfum Rose Couture blooms and develops, the orange blossom comes to party. Obviously, the vanilla and caramel make this delicious but there's a touch of barely-there brightness from lychee that's shrouded by peach. Part of me also wants a bigger presence from the bergamot but I guess that's not what Le Parfum Rose Couture is going for, despite Master Kurkdjian's intentions with the note pyramid. Sillage isn't that great but this is an EDT and I've only sprayed on my wrist and I get a whiff every now and then. The original Le Parfum is on my other wrist and after an hour, it's the only scent I can smell from the two. Would I buy a bottle? Yes. It's an easy scent to wear. Perhaps a grab-and-go if roses or gourmands are your thing. Edit: After drying down even further, the sandalwood is starting to appear, hence the sexier vibe. Update: Whatever remains of this perfume on my skin is now baby powder. That's after four to five hours worth of wear.

At first cotton candy smell hits me real hard it makes me think, 'shouldn't they put it on gourmand group?'. But then it settles and leaves a softer and powdery smell that reminds me of Narciso Rodriguez Rouge. Longevity sucks tho, as compared to her sisters Le Parfum and Le Parfum in White. Sillage is moderate too, can't smell it as strong as the said sisters. This scent is for younger demography I guess. As it gives rather bright and cheerful (as a floral group will go if not supported with darker and richer oriental spice) vibe. And is somewhat a day scent but can go for night agenda when it's casual (this is no sexy scent). So spring-like in vibe, though I imagine wearing it for winter can be pleasant too (for romantic factor). Currently, it falls on the 'okay' category, though I may like it more later. Feminine young girls will love this one. Update: I like this rosy frag. If only the scent can get better sillage and longevity, that'll be great.

A juicy, tart opening of delicate rose and citrus that gets juicier and fruitier by the mid. The light, refreshing top tempers the sweetness of caramel, which hints at gourmand but the body of the scent remains centered around florals. Kurkijan's orangeblossom comes into focus about 20 minutes after the initial spray. Gorgeous! The peony note compliments the rose wonderfully. This is a really pretty, delicate scent that has Elie Saab's signature all over it. I much prefer this to Le Parfum for its lightness and playfulness. Doesn't last the longest. 3-4 hours of noticeable silllage then it turns into a skin scent. I'd call this classy, girly and easy but it's by no means boring. If you're a rose, lychee fan and enjoy most of what Francis Kurkijan does, this is a good choice.

So, like I posted a while back on this fragrance, I loved this perfume and it got stolen. I remember it being of prominent rose notes, woody, powdery, with a hint of sweetness and citrus notes. I was able to find it again and purchased it, and it's nothing like what I remember! It is sweet!!! Very sweet, too sweet (and I don't like sweet!), with some rose, patchouli, powder, something that makes it slightly bitter in a distant depth...it's completely different perfume to me. Maybe the summer heat is making this fragrance strongly sweet on my skin. Will try it the spring. On a positive note, it's extremely long lasting it remains on my skin until I shower.

This is actually a beautiful flanker , a fresher version definitely ..i get a lot of the peony at the top and the rose , litchi and orange blossom at the dry down . i am trying to makeup for the bad lasting power with overspraying but sadly it doesnt seem to be working too well, i live in a tropical country and the heat makes it come out better in some days. i think some of my bbw body mists project and last even better. It is a beautiful scent though. i will see if i can just use this as a layering scent . definitely opposite the original version with the sillage and lasting power.

I adore this very much. It is a sweet rose perfume, not punch in your face rose, it's on the lighter side. It is pretty and girly and not like only pure rose water as some are claiming. I like the opening the most since its sweet, but then it becomes way fresher rose. The drydown smells like these rose scented bar of soap kind of smell. Lasts for around 3 hours with 2 hours of a nice scent bubble. Good for day out in spring or summer. Glad with my purchase but I prefer the stronger offerings from Elie Saab more.

If you are synesthetic like me, then you will understand... It's a strawberry jam eaten on a warm autumn day in the middle of a forest glade. The rose is jammy, sweet, not red, not pink, but exactly the color of a strawberry spread that grandmas make. The patchouli is responsible for a tiny bit of earthiness, combined with the warmness of sandalwood; the litchi and the bergamot lend their acidity, which melts in the embracing sweetness of caramel. Mmmmmmmm. <3

As someone who has never been a fan of anything rose due to how dated and sharp it reads on my skin, this perfume is yummayyy!! Maybe I'm biased cause og le parfum has my whole heart, and this is very much related, but this scent is so soft and lovely... Every time I wear it, I regret not reaching for it more often. I think it's one of the better takes on rose scents--it's sweet, it's inviting, it's feminine. I love it.

This is a pleasant scent, I would call it a velvety rose scent. Very sweet, the most dominant notes are rose, vanilla and patchouli. And of course, lovely pink bottle. But I guess, that's it, just pleasant. It doesn't have the elegance of the original Le Parfum, which I absolutely love. But it's totally worth a try, for me it is an interesting release for sure.

Candied patchouli peachy jasmine soapy rose, so this one does what it says on the tin I guess. I love the original and the almondy goodness of L'Eau Couture even more, and I must say this is a nice addition to the Le Parfum lineup. I feel quite content with my fullsize of L'EC though, so I don't see Rose Couture ending up in my collection for that reason.

I fell in love with this scent, as i was looking for a rose perfume. But after wearing it a couple of weeks, I got bored very quickly by the sweetness of it. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time I bought it, but the fragrance doesn't have enough depth to keep me surprised. Plus it does not last long at all, no matter how much i spray

In theory this should be a mess and impossible, but it really does smell equal parts floral-fresh and caramel-sweet, all at the same time, I don't know how they pulled it off. It smells clean and borderline aquatic, but the sugar is unmistakably there, all while a natural, slightly peppery rose/peony accord sings. Beautiful and unique.

The dry down smells like Dove Unscented soap. In the opening you can smell more of the fruity nuance’s. I prefer to wear this fragrance mainly for bed time. I can still smell it when I wake up so the longevity is good for me. If you have this I recommend wearing it with EOS Jasmine Peach.

A light spring gourmand. Beautiful caramel-rose with a hint of vanilla. I tried it in winter and it didn’t work for me. But today in mild, sunny spring weather it was perfect. It’s fresh, sweet and very feminine. More romantic than sexy (but my husband really likes it 😁).

I blind bought this because I love the Elie Saab fragrances and I wanted this in my collection, but I actually think this is way too sweet for me. Probably gonna resell this. It is my least favorite of all the Elie Saab popular flankers.

ROse Couture is a powdery rose, expensive smelling and perfect for a more mature audience (30+) . I imagine a confident and powerful woman wearing this perfume. Those who like Narciso Rodriguez for her, will also appreciate this one.

One of the first perfumes i ve ever had. Whenever i finish a bottle i go and buy another one. This fragrance smells young, fresh and playful. It lasts for a good period of time and it has a very good performance.

I smell tons of lychee in the beginning, and then subtle rose in the middle. This fragrance so pleasure for me, although the SPL are poor. Night after take a bath, spray it through your body then sleep tight

Loved this perfume: the bottle, the color, the soft roe cords.... everything and someone stoled it!!

I went from 'Oh my God, how horrible' to ' I have to have it' in 5 minutes! Not a trace of rose on my skin, just peonies mixed with some sweetness I wouldn't call caramel, but similary unpleasant( don't like the smell of caramel), maybe, just maybe it smells more like praline, but I'm not quite sure. That was the thing that put me off of this, but after a few minutes the unbearable sweetness evaporates, and it becomes a stunning, spring- summer candy- floral perfume. Yes, peony - flavoured candies, if that makes sense.

Pretty and fluffy rose scent that *just* avoids being vintage. It's more floral than sweet, and I think it's uncomplicated enough to handle layering with darker perfumes. Mood is wearing your fattest, warmest, fluffiest dressing gown while drinking a really nice cup of tea under a frothy rose arbour. Projection and sillage are about arm's length and longevity on my skin is about 4-6 hours, on clothes a little longer.

This was a regrettable blind buy. I was tempted by the nose and the perfume house, but it didn't live up to expectation. What I get from this perfume is a generic sugary sweet rose perfume. It's very uncomplicated. I would have loved this fifteen years ago, but as a mom in my mid 30's I feel too old for this stuff. Hmmm idk this is too warm for the summer. It's choking me out in August. Also it's not a fresh type of rose or rosewatery type of rose I had hoped for. It's one of those complex and dark type of rose scents and to me it smells exactly like Black XS by Paco Rabanne, the most headache inducing perfume ever in my opinion. Just not my thing. Thankfully I only have a 1ml sample.

This is a light sweet caramel rose. A little bit powdery on the dry down. Very beautiful scent specially for spring. It’s a close to the skin scent with a 4 hours longevity. Edit: after tempering with this fragrance for a while I decided not to keep it. Poor performance, not unique enough if you have a good size collection. I will pass this on.

Good, strong, big sillage, but the vanilla and sweetness is not my cup of tea. I prefer the original Le Parfum which never dissapoints me.

This is a scent that I thought I would like, since I love the combination of rose and peony, and while I thought that the patchouli together with pretty strong sweet and woody notes would make this a more powerful, yet still beautifully fresh and elegantly flowery, scent than the most rose and peony combibations out there today. However, I have to say that this wasn't an instant like. I feel this is a very powdery scent missing the freshness that I thought would be created by the rose and peony, litchi as well. There is a slightly musty vibe to this. It might be the peach, which is messing this up for me, since peach far too often ends up creating an unpleasantly musty/dusty smell on my skin. There is also something not so right with the sweetness in this, it just doesn't blend in the way I feel it should. Must be a skin chemistry issue and not really something I blame this scent for. While I love Elie Saab Le Parfum In White and L'Eau Couture version of Le Parfum, Le Parfum itself is a clear miss for me (being too musty and heavy). I find Rose Couture to be the closest of all the flankers to the original Le Parfum. So if you like the original and have the right skin chemistry for it, you might wish to try this one, this could be perfect for you.
