Guys, my advice is to give a chance to this fragrance. With few and common notes they blended an interesting scent, simple yet complex at the same time. The opening has pink pepper and bergamot. Then u can feel cedar and vetiver. The pepper makes the smell lively and nice, it has a casual elegance and i find this release quite good. It's fresh, woody and spicy, airy and light, fits very well for spring and summer and has a casual elegance. The performance is also strange: the first two hours are very good, then became more silent. Few hours after the application i thought it was gone but a friend said she can still smell it in the air. It's hard to compare to other fragrances, it has a piece of eau sauvage parfum, a piece of lalique white, definitely something from a Creed..but for now i cant find something close to it. I tried it in a store and few hours later i came back to buy a big bottle. That's enough.. Profumo da poco uscito e molto interessante nonostante l'apparente semplicità. This perfume was a pleasant surprise for me. It has been a long time since a truly masculine fragrance appeared on the market, with traces of the 90s and distinct from this cursed “cotton candy” trend. Frankly, I am tired of all these perfumes launched in the last two decades, that smell the same, with sweet aromas, no personality, and no charisma whatsoever. But I “belong” to Gen X. I've used and know countless fragrances that are completely different from the trends that are imposed on us today. Everyone smells the same, more “sugar,” less “sugar”... I highly recommend this new fragrance. It's a fragrance that's different from the trends of recent years.

This a great daily driver for the 35 + crowd. There's a tart citrus opening that works so well with the vetiver in the mid. There's some warmth in the base, the patchouli that helps this scent stick around longer than I thought, especially on clothes. The vetiver is the note that brings this fragrance together. I am, however, impartial and a sucker for vetiver. This extremely masculine without being too "in your face". The projection is nothing to write home about but the longevity is decent. Overall, I'm really impressed by Elie Saab's first outing into the world of men's fragrances. I can see the rating increasing in the near future.

I love this fragrance. I rocked it today and already got a compliment. This is class, this is niche, sophistication, high end and high quality. It requires a matured nose to appreciate it. This is a very musculine, manly and bold fragrance. It has a slight resemblance to Boss bottled Absolu, very slight not that they are the same. Cedarwood, Patchoulie and Myrrh are the main notes that i pick up. Overall, I love this juice. Great performance and projection. Dont be shy to apply it.

Amazing fragrance masculine, Spicy, warm, sexy, and lasts and projects insanely well. Very strong and gentle it doesn’t irritate or bother anyone because how relaxed the scent is. This fragrance should be a safe blind buy for men who like the masculine and professional scent but I say a girl can pull it off. 10/10 easy do buy.

Truly outstanding, tried this at Dubai Duty Free yesterday and bought it immediately Nothing like Dior Homme or Creed Royal Oud People will hate on this without trying it, but it's their loss. Elie Saab now has 3 fragrances for me that I love, this one alongside Cuir Bourbon and Essence No. 3 Ambre

Smells 'old school' but in a good way. Definitely 35+ would prefer. Definitely not for younger or like sweet fragrances. I've been looking for something like this while in a sea of gourmands. Refreshing.

When I saw this bottle I thought it's some kind of cheap perfume. Got two testers and I m blown away. This is good! Give it a try.

Spices - ginger (no Spice Girls references please.) along with leather, pine and tobacco kick things off. Becomes herbal and airy - as in fresh outdoors, very woody with some dark, rindy citrus. Then oakmoss, lavender and smoky, musky ambrox. Starts to smell blue, something metallic, then vetiver. Lavender smells "dusty" and will remind you of other popular men's frags. It's chypre-esque in profile, lots of moss and leather. On skin it turns balsamic with cypress and chalky vetiver aromas. Performance (on me) was excellent, huge projection, the ambrox working like a shire horse, and lasting on skin all day. This would work at night all year and during the day in colder months. Defo masculine. In terms of being old school, yeah I get that, however I would describe it more as "intergenerational." The opening is Gen X but the drydown is millennial. Reminds me of a lot of things so isn't hugely unique, but I do really like it. If you're looking for a classic, masculine woody scent with a musky, modern edge, your search is over.

This fragrance caught me by surprise in a good way. It has a unique character that I really appreciate. The opening might come off a bit spicy for some, but once it settles, it becomes truly enjoyable. It reminds me of the last few Boss Bottled releases (maybe Absolu?), but done better—lighter and good for spring. The composition is beautifully balanced, though perhaps a bit more suited for a mature audience rather than those in their 20s. If you come across it in stores, definitely give it a try! Strong like. Edit: my girfriend hates this, she won't let me buy it!

I like this fragrance, surprised by the lowish rating. It’s a good men’s designer, fresh spicy aromatic with tiny bit of sweetness from the myrrh. Can’t speak to longevity yet. It smells very similar to something from the late 2000s that gives a nostalgic feel. 7.5/10

Great classy masculine Woody scent. Vetiver and Cedar combo with a warmth in the background. Has a sparkling bergamot opening. Nothing new, but very well composed. Really nice debut in the man's aisle.

Smells like an average iso e super / ambroxan modern scent but with an interesting darker deeper feel in the back, thanks to the myrrh. Alll in all it's a solid designer release.

This smells pretty good, its not the best fragrance in my collection but its not the worst ive had either. Performance is good and you'll get the odd compliment here and there

Nice for a man over 30 years old ! Sophisticated and long lasting

Elie Saab is a brand more known for the feminine leaning fragrances so I decided to get a 2ml to try this 2025 "male" release. I must admit that it was quite a delusion. Not that it is bad, just super average with nothing real new to speak about. Opens spicy and a little bit citrusy, then dries out in the usual wood patchouli-vetiver. It can easily be a signature scent, no special notes, nothing good or bad to report, just an everyday scent. Somehow it can be classified as boss bottled without the tiktok hypetrain. Performances are ok, nothing special also in this department. A little bit overpriced for what it is but what is not overpriced nowdays?

The first sniff of this surprised me. It smelled nice, very mature and heavy. This is for the guys that like to occupy not just too much space, but all the space and a bit more, making the room their own after the owner puts it for sale for a heavily discounted price. After an hour or so, the dry down starts to settle as well as the insecure aura of the manosphere into a copy paste scent of every cheap, loud aroma chemical based fragrance out there.

Smells ok but way overpriced , lasts hardly 2h on skin without projection or sillage, tested yesterday and before i get home smells gone... They need to work more on this scent to improve longevity and projection... Scent 9/10 Longevity 1/10 Projection 1/10 Sillage 1/10

This is terrifying, horrible, nasty and any other negative adjectives my mind can conjure, it smells old, these woods and myrrh are nauseous, I legit have never smelled anything so bad, I'm sorry. EDIT: Now that it's drying down it's not that terrible, I simply really dislike what they're going for.

Disappointing scent. Smells like a barber shoppy aromatic perfume for an old man that expired and went bad. Something is "musty" and dry about it . I dont find it appealing at all. I was excited for Elie's 1st male launch but this is a NOPE from me.

They literally copied Dior Homme 2020. Smells very identical to that fragrance. EDIT: The drydown, on the other hand, is reminding me of Dior Sauvage Elixir.

I've always admired Elie Saab's couture, especially that awesome Halle Berry's dress for the Oscar's ceremony. When I saw this perfume was out at the market, I rushed to buy it, without properly asserting it. I was so biased. Now, months later, I am thinking to myself: - What was I thinking back then? On my skin, this perfume smells so annoyingly, like a pile of burnt woods with a bunch of aggressive spices. Exactly like the cheap scented sticks used for aromatherapy. Such a disappointment. There is nothing masculine about it. The minutes after spraying it on your skin, you would urge to wash it off immediately.

It has a fine opening but then settles to something similar to Creed Viking in the mid and Dior Sauvage in the far drydown. I have had high expectations when I read the notes. The smelling experience was initially good. But after the opening everything falls flat. The intensity of ambroxan literally burned off my sense of smell. Highly synthetic.

Designer scent for the hommes who don't like sweet scents. All I get is a soft woody(cedar), some diluted frankincense and "something" faintly sweet. Extremely simplistic, and dare I to say, Boring.

I get no wood, only very harsh bergamot

Usually we wait atleast 5 minutes for the base notes to show , well not in elie saab l'homme the notes dont unfold by sequence .. top and base notes instantly mingle from the first spray like playing a song right from the chorus part ! sharp bergamot on a strong spicy earthy base.. After couple minutes the cedar and vetiver start showing to present a "clean" nuance kinda similar to famous fragrance such as prada homme , valentino , dior intense .. however its very short-lived and not harmonuously blending with the top and base so it all smells out of place and quite overmasked ! In my (female) opinion this is not a nice scent and very outdated , especially that the bergamot starts lingering like a surface cleaner

Pink pepper, bergamot, vetiver.... fragrance lovers have seen and sniffed this before. Yes, we have, but Elie Saab has produced a fantastic fragrance here. I love this. It's very bright and uplifting and settles down into a cosy cedarwood. The definition of an all rounder; this would be an amazing present because absolutely no one will dislike this and most people will enjoy it. Not ground breaking but not everything has to be. Stunning bottle as well.

Cool bottle, cool idea. Smells dark and dry. I actually couldn't clearly pick out any of the individual notes for the first time in my reviewing career. I don't hate it at all, but if you wanna smell 'niche' and you don't know what that means - go for it. Honestly, Boss Bottled Absolu wins here. This is kinda BB Absolu in 240p and if you dropped your glasses.

I had high hopes for this one, because the bottle is beautiful. The fragrance itself is dreadful, cheap ambroxan and average run off the mill execution. Very few companies nowadays try to be original. It's all about quick cash grab. Very disappointed. The only fragrance in the past couple years is Boss Vigorous Cologne that had the wow factor for me.

@Endymion very well said. Yes I'm commenting before i smelt it and yes the marketing is sooooo basic. Can we all agree that this level of mediocrity shouldn’t be celebrated. I hope someone in the comments above/to come tell me how this is a groundbreaking statement for Elie Saab as a house

The bottle is the best-looking, classiest presentation I've seen in a while. And since when is Myrrh a 'basic' ingredient? I'm as cynical as it comes but I'm not with this one. I'm excited to try it. Perfumer has an interesting resume as well.

First fragrance for men ... we expect a lot... a lot a lot ... the notes doesn’t tell that but I hope it will be something interesting this year , the bottle is classy & simple but that’s fine .. can’t wait to try !

Appears similar to Dior Homme with the peppery citrus/woody composition. Very curious to try this one out. Also, the bottle looks awesome. When does this come out in USA?

Persolaise reviewing this was hilarious. It's an amberwoody bomb that just wants to flex was the gist. He could barely tolerate the blotter.

This one smells rich and sumptuous, and very heavily reminiscent of TF Ombre Leather. If you have the TF, this one is probably superfluous.

Hmm, this sounds like it will be Dior Homme 2020-ish? Might be a nice safe, mature work place scent for myself.
