What a remarkable scent this is! Looking at the perfume's scholarly structure, there is not much to report, but to experience Elie, is truly wonderful. Opening notes of bergamot, recited in the most photo-realistic way, awaken my senses rapidly with their acidic radiance. The citrus chords are so luminous, one could almost see a spark of grapefruit or mandarin peaking through bergamot's herbaceous character. Then hides again behind violet's softly robust character, peaking playfully from time to time, teasing my nose. Citrine chords, now tamed with floral pulverulence, verdant breezes emerge sweeping aromas of green tea throughout the composition. Unnamed flora and wood nuances billow gentle ease through the caffeinated hype of the opening act. Musk and amber curtsy, announcing a resolute state of casual confidence and feminine sway. That being said, I think this would be absolutely stunning worn by a man. Dry down makes me growl with satisfaction; inhalation insufficient, I crave a deeper breath of divinity! Exuberant joy and witty elegance contained in glass. Spectacular!

This is a beautiful, tasteful fragrance. The bergamot is lovely and subtle, and does not venture into the cleaning product arena at all. My skin highlights citrus and green, including tea, and what smells like a true pear and a pretty floral. I don't get powder at all. This wears beautifully from top to base notes. I love wearing it to bed, too. It feels fresh and doesn't smell like your ubiquitous mass market fragrance to me. I was curious enough about the notes to check the official Elie Tahari product page. For starters, the fragrance sells for $128 US there, but you can get it for a significantly better price point elsewhere. The Tahari site lists the noses as Nicole Mancini and Rodrigo Flores-Roux. It lists the notes: "Sparkling Italian Bergamot, Dewy Violet Leaves, Juicy Pear, Green Fig, Giant Magnolia, Tea Blossom, White Woods, Velvety Musk, Luminous Amber." That explains the pear and the floral that come through on my skin. It's so very lovely and tasteful.

I agree with the reviewer who does not recommend for people looking for an oriental or gourmand fragrance. This is definitely not those! I like it, and part of what I like is that the amber and musk don't overwhelm everything else. I can see why you might call it masculine or bitter, those are the types work on my skin for some reason. I can see why you could call it sweet too, but the bergamot tempers that. I think it's pretty tame and a good blind buy if you like citrusy scents or ones in the realm of tory burch bel azur or d&g light blue, and it has good staying power. @clausewriter, pear is actually listed by the company as one of the top notes. In the description I am seeing, they list the notes as: Top notes: Sparkling Italian Bergamot, Dewy Violet Leaves, Juicy Pear Middle notes: Green Fig, Giant Magnolia, Tea Blossom Base notes: White Woods, Velvety Musk, Luminous Amber

Este Hermoso Perfume de Elie Tahari esta perfecto para Primavera Verano dias muy calurosos. Cuando lo compre y me lo puse en mi antibrazo recorde al Arbol de Flor de Azahar con naranjas agrias que mis papa's tienen en su casa. Su salida citrica y floral fresco, y un poco dulce le siento la Flor de Azahar y le puedo sentir como rafagas de Ambar como que viene de tiempo en tiempo. Este perfume me duro en mi piel como 12 horas toda mi Jornada de trabajo y entre mas me movia como que se activava con la calor o movimiento de mi cuerpo, el perfume se queda en la ropa hasta días, y también otras personas me sintieron este perfume recuerden que cada persona tenemos diferente ph en nuestro cuerpo. Lo podia sentir conmigo todo el tiempo estaba presente.

This is actually quite amazing! If your a florida girl and you're familiar with the keyes its like your outside sitting at a restaurant like mirada bay across from the cheeca in islamorada and you ordered a piece of key lime pie with fig syrup drizzled slightly with a garnish of a pretty baby magnolia flower. Its refreshing , tart a little sweet and in noway a boring citrus like neroli porta. No this is way underated and thats fine by me its going for under 20 bucks at discounters and im stocking up! This is for the Fla keyes girls who miss home!! Or just even for the key lime pie lovers. Enjoy!

I’m really surprised at some of the reviews here. I love this scent. I smell a strong fig and tea bite but I love alien eau extraordinare and it’s very similar but I actually like Elie tahari better. You have to give it a chance to dry down before judging it. It’s definitely a spring and summer scent but I would wear it all year long.

Favorite blind buy and now in my top 10 favorite perfumes list. Beautifully spiced fragrance, gentle spicy citrusy with soft musk. You want to keep sniffing your wrist good. Husband perfume hater approved on me.

In my opinion, this is very similar to Fico Di Amalfi. And, I will readily admit that I may have that connotation because of the prominent fig note, and what I believe is the fig leaf, as well. Fig leaf, to me, has a camphorous quality that has bracing freshness when you inhale. But, the smell is nice enough that you keep coming back for more. Overall, this perfume is bright, light and fresh. The bergamot keeps this scent light on its feet, while the fig gives it some gravitas to create a more balanced feel to the scent. I don't feel this is masculine; but, I would say that this is definitely unisex. And, if you enjoy fig fragrances, you should give this one a try. This one will be GREAT for the Spring/Summer time.

I am still testing this perfume, but I have been going back and forth on whether or not I like it. In the end, I like it, cause maybe 9 times out of 10 that a fragrance contains fig, I ultimately enjoy it. Elie Tahari smells to me like pale linen or cotton clothes, washed heavily in a slightly masculine green tea-scented laundry detergent, on a body washed with a violet oatmeal soap. And fig. The fig sweetness is gracefully dominate and classy, but the heavily laundered side takes over sometimes. Very office-appropriate. I think I would like it more on the right man. It wouldn't suit my construction working husband though.

I can smell the bergamot and violet right away, and then the tea comes through. To me, it smells almost like pear after the dry down. Maybe the floral notes are pear blossom? The base notes of wood and amber are very faint, but they keep this sweet perfume from veering into toothache territory. The smell elicits fond memories of a long ago summer trip to Italy. On days when I need to feel cheerful and light I reach for this.

I can very clearly notice the bergamot and the tea in this one. Frankly I bought the decant because I was curious of the score and price of this perfume, and I do not regret it! It’s perfect for everyday use, sweet and floral and with just the right amount of crisp. I (very probably!) might order a full bottle after I run out of my decant!

I dig this citrus-tea freshiness! I can see why the person below says it reminds her of tea her Polish grandmother would brew, it definitely smells like loose-leaf tea in a real teacup, with maybe a little jam stirred in. It doesn't last, but what does? It's truly a bargain if you're into this kind of scent.

Smells like a sweet lemon iced tea to me... I love this one for the daytime and office. Very bright, citrusy and happy and I really get the tea note coming through. Longevity is moderate - about 5-6 hours. I love this fragrance!

Coconut note is definitely there! Not listed but it feels like coconut. Easy summer scent. Great citrus vibe. Nice but nothing extraordinary.

This smells like tea my Polish grandma would make. Not something I usually wear, but oddly nostalgic and I like it!

I like this fragrance but there’s something in the top that seems odd to me. I love a citrus scent! But this one has an odd citrus note, like an extremely tart grapefruit rather than bergamot. Or maybe it’s the combination with violet. My nose does not care for a lot of purple florals. It almost smells like sweat covered by perfume. Despite that, this does evolve into a beautiful fragrance in the mid and base! You pick up the tea note and then the woody amber base that is classy and beautiful! It’s perfect for daily wear in the spring and summer. I’m going to put this on my tray for the month and see if I learn to like it better. I don’t dislike it, but it’s teetering right now between a like and aloof.

The opening is similar to green tea Elizabeth Arden, but the dry down is closer to Womanity from Mugler (without the weird caviar smell ). Blind buy at TJMAXX for less than $20, not sure I will wear it often, it may grow on me this summer. It would be a great gift for a young girl, it's fresh, light and slightly sweet.

Sorry guys but this is an extremely bitter lemon with tea. I couldn't stand the bitterness. Only after an hour is when it calmed down to a more wearable fresh smell but I don't recommend it for those of us who like fragrances on the oriental or gourmand spectrum. This is the polar opposite of that.

I saw this advertised on a shopping channel for $30. I bought a smaller bottle on eBay for $10. This is easily one of the worst fragrances I've ever smelled. Reminded me of laundry pattern, bitter lemon with tea and damp wood. Just horrible..

Tahari's signature could've come in a gilded canteen bottle labeled Green Irish Tweed for Her and I wouldn't have questioned it. Plays like that, its subtle violet/violet leaf upholding a beautiful Doyenne du Comice pear and green tea accord, buttressed by magnolia on one side and gentle peony blossoms on the other. One of the nicest tea florals I've smelled, and a far better buy than Tommy Girl (and Creed's Asian Green Tea, for that matter). Update, 3/6/23: Wearing this one off and on the last few months, I've pondered why this beautiful fragrance isn't more widely known and also wondered why it's sold for so little money. I've concluded that Elie Tahari's fragrance is gorgeous and very well made, BUT it's also in a style that is no longer in vogue: the nineties tea floral. This fragrance really smells like something directly out of the nineties. Bvlgari Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert, Thé Vert L'Occitane en Provence, Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea, Eau de Thé Vert by Roger & Gallet, Thé pour un Été by L'Artisan Parfumeur, all were from that era, and all shared a distinctly period-specific feel of crisp citrus atop floaty herbs and florals on a light woodsy base. Elie Tahari even has the sweetness of a nineties "fresh" fragrance, but it's in the style of that time, very expansive, fruity-floral, strong, and unisex ("universal"). I think if it were in a more 2020s fashion, this fragrance would be selling exclusively at Neiman Marcus at $140 for 100 ml. What would be a more current trend? Probably some conflicted saffron-oud thing with super sweet apple and a weirdly foody-gourmand candyfloss base. But no, Elie Tahari's perfume is bitter bergamot, pear, magnolia, green tea. Folks balk at things with its bitterness and with sweetness that's moored to a specific arrangement of recognizable fruits and flowers. Not since 1999 has this kind of eau de cologne-like tea floral been championed. This is a stunning composition that unfortunately is 25 years too late!

This scent is easily one of my favorites & one I will continually repurchase. (For reference, I like green perfumes, sometimes musk, AND gourmands). This one is bright, fresh, and green! Definitely has a bit of a sharpness to it but it’s it’s non-offensive imo and not at all cloying (JC Gold Couture & JS Fancy are no-gos for me because of their cloying nature - I believe its the caramel). I would classify this as a loud, green/citrus. It’s lovely. It is along the lines of JC Palm Trees Please (green bottle) which is another one of my absolute favorite green fragrances. I wouldn’t consider this a safe blind-but UNLESS you like green/citrus (while still having a sweetness) then this may be for you!

I received a bottle of this today: citrus, fresh and Earl grey tea. I think it will be lovely in hot weather. I like this better than " Still" by JLo another tea fragrance: while Still is a lovely perfume, it had a note that didn't work with my body chemistry. My husband tried some on his hand and declared it " toilet bowl cleaner", but it does smell differently on him than on me. I will wear it to work, not at home ;) Love that beautiful bottle!!

I needed to tag on an item to get free shipping on frag net. This was $19.99. Tne bergamot smells like key lime. Creamy fig. It’s not in the notes but I’m feeling a cream of coconut. Not gourmand. Soft florals too. More like a lovely cocktail, like a pina coloada minus coconut add lime. Very nice office or brunch scent. Amazing buy for the price. No regrets here

I agree with kastehelmi, although on me this reads more sweet and less masculine. It’s absolutely beautiful in my opinion. Very unique. When I first spritzed it on I thought ooooo I love this. It’s sweet and the tea blossom and amber really pop.

Just bought this on a blind buy at marshalls. Not loving it. Tea and laundry. And i smell something piney. Not really sweet enough for me i think. We’ll see haw the dry down goes. Maybe something will emerge.
