Always Red Femme

As I've confessed before, Red Door is one of my two signature scents. (The other is Ralph Lauren Safari.) I love it with all of my heart. I've been happy with all of my Elizabeth Arden fragrance purchases, and decided recently to buy a bottle of this beauty. On my skin, it is nothing short of DELICIOUS! There is definitely some similarity between the two. I would say that this is Red Door's SEXY big sister. They're in the same family, and have the same bones, but there is a whole other rapturous quality to this masterpiece that is missing from Red Door. I love savoring the whole experience of this - incredible from first burst to dry down. I don't really pick out individual notes with this one. It is more of a "scent quilt" if you will, like it is covering you with the most luxurious scent you've ever experienced. I haven't owned this long enough to try it during the different seasons or to wear it while going out with my hubby, so I'll have to add those results later. All I can say, and I truly never say this, I FEEL really sexy wearing this. And who can't use that pick-me-up daily? Highly recommended, especially to other Red Door lovers like me.

I'm doing two reviews, one of the original, and one for the reformulation (which I do not like): I fell head-over-heels in love with this perfume. One evening I was driving home from work and kept smelling something wonderful. I then realised it was me! This fragrance is beautiful, sexy, exquisitely feminine, and so long lasting at the same time. It's rose, cassis, patchouli, and everything that's right with the world. If you spot the original in the black bottle with the foiling grab them because the reformulation is a shadow of it's former self. I am a fan of EA for creating decent quality, pretty perfumes at an affordable price but I will say shame on EA for doing this. The company has stripped out the heart and soul in the reformulation. Now, if you like the original and want a lighter version for summer, then the reformulation in the clear bottle will suit you. But if you love the original, the new version is a let-down. Moral of the story is if you love the original, grab a few back-ups. Don't wait for the reformulation, as you will be as disappointed as I was.

Elizabeth Arden Always Red Femme is a beautiful fruity floral fragrance, slightly gourmand & jammy and a completely different fragrance to the original Flagship Red Door. Quite loud and sweet opening, but have patience and wait half an hour the fragrance develops into a warm sensual almost chypre the dry down is sensual. I agree the edt does need regular top ups, it seems to disappear quickly and is a skinscent not a bomb or room filler which I think nowadays is actually really good. Reminds me very much of the now discontinued Dewberry by The Body Shop. If you like Si by Giorgio Armani, La vie est Belle by Lancome you will love this fragrance. Lovely dark black box with florals and black matt bottle with floral front. Modern contemporary. Age range honestly anyone who enjoys fruity flirty fun fragrances. Value for money is excellent. Elizabeth Arden is a High End House I've visited Red Door in New York. An excellent gift. I purchased 100ml edt on Groupon in the UK for £17.99. What's not to love? If its not for you regift it, will make someone very happy. 🙏❤

When I saw that this was going to be launched I was intrigued by the bottle, but once taking a look at the notes I thought "nah, this one isn't for me". Usually I go for caramel and powdery type of fragrances. However, I got a tester of it when I made another purchase. As soon as I tried it, I fell completely in love. I was with a friend by the time and she went crazy as well. Ever since, I have spritzed a few drops on my wrist now and then and thought about how much I really, really like it. What's even better is how long it lasts even with just a few drops, about eight to ten hours with good radiation! After not having picked up the tester for a while as I didn't want to run out of the magic juice, I sniffed it today and felt the same as always; a scent that is intriguing, cozy, feminine and just lovely. Two minutes later, I ordered a gift set of it online (for myself, obviously) with express delivery as I can't wait to get my hands on it. Just. Amazing!

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think this smells like Si at all. In Si, I smell green leaves, cassis liqueur, and florals with a touch of patchouli. In Always Red Femme, I get bright flowery topnotes, but overall this is a light, sweet amber with a base of powdery woods. I think it's wonderful! Always Red Femme doesn't remind me of Red Door in the least (thank goodness). Even though the bottle is similar this doesn't seem to be a Red Door flanker. It's unique, and well worth a purchase for me. I love Oriental fragrances, and I've never been a fan of fruity florals. Always Red Femme is what I wanted Pretty Hot to be, (and I much prefer the Always Red name). The Artemisia takes center stage!

This is the first Elizabeth Arden perfume that I've fallen in love with. I'm a sucker for anything sweet / floral / fruity + vanilla. I got through my carded mini tester in a couple of days, loved wearing this blend, and was sad when every last drop was gone. It's sweet from the peach blossom and pear, creamy from the vanilla, and balanced and boosted by the slightly bitter blackcurrant. I can't wait to buy a bottle of this. The design of the bottle is beautiful, but definitely lighter and sweeter than it suggests. Wear it day or night, and feel sexy and special! I know I will.

I finally got to sample this beauty at Macy's they finally had a tester bottle out and whoa! It's so nice! It's not like Always Red that one to me is more like Armani Sí... Always red Femme is different. Both delicious as I've added it to my wardrobe! This is a cross between D&G Pour Femme & PF Intense and YSL Manifesto I love it and all of those as well! I'm so in love! It's unique enough to warrant a spot in my collection! I'm happy I bought it!

I really love this! It smells kinda dark, syrupy and delicious. It is quite intoxicating and every time i sniff it i cant help but say mmmm... I read a comment below that says this smells like rihanna rogue, hmmm now it makes me want to try rogue because if they smell alike then im all for it. There is something about this scent that i like i just am not sure which note that is. Very happy with this blind buy!

Oh, I absolutely love this nice perfume! I have been sniffing it many times, and today it/she came home with me :D I can smell the pear, the peach blossoms, the sjasmin, and there is a green note to it which I believe is the cassis, but I really can't sense the vanilla in it, and it doesn't matters at all. It's a great perfume and easy to wear and I recommend it to everybody for any occations :))

Always Red Femme is the best of many worlds all rolled into one. A fine blend of many notes, none dominates for me, maybe patchouli and vanilla stand out a tad more. I get a lot of Rose as well, and it's not even among the official notes. Very wearable, and the price is right. Excellent all-rounder if you're on a budget. The quality here rivals many more costly scents.

I really love this fragrance. It's sultry and intense on me. It’s similar to always red but it has more florals added to it to soften it up a bit. I love the black currant bud mixed in with the warm notes. Great silage and longevity.

Sweet, floral and a little spicy. Always Red Femme smells like dark currant fruit in a spicy vanilla syrup garnished with fresh flowers. This perfume is warm, comforting and sexy and should be worn in colder weather.

This is like the love child of Valentino Donna and My Burberry Blush! It’s awesome and I got a bottle for a steal! I don’t get a lot of vanilla or patchouli... i get rose and juicy fruits.

Just got this. Such a nice grown up fruity floral. The bottle is deceiving, it's not a dark fragrance to me. Definitely sweet, but not too sweet.

Artemesia, cassis, oak moss, I hope it's wonderful 😊 Update: yep, it's a winner! Fruity floral in a grown-up style. Love it.

I got this perfume last year. I think it is sort of summery sexy, I would recommend it for saucy nights out in the heat :)

Wow! I was not expecting what came out if this upon spraying! This is gorgeous! It's actually tropical, sexy, luscious, mesmerising, just the most beautiful fragrance I have experienced. Only problem is that the beauty is fleeting unless I can't smell it as intensely anymore since I've been inhaling so often and so strongly, indulging in the juiciness of the floral, sweet, yet adult sexy delectable yumminess... I bet I'll catch whiffs as I go about my day. I noticed that though I often can't smell it anymore, others certainly do and I also do get whiffs of fragrances while I'm out and about. This fragrance has blown my mind! I'm really surprised at how gorgeous this is. This is what all other fragrances have always claimed to be in their names and titles. This one is a forever fragrance in my life. I'm happy to have found this gem🤭

Another blind buy - saw this for a steal and pulled the trigger as I recalled an old friend commenting that it was a pretty scent. I'm in the "it definitely reminds me of Armani Si" camp. It's quite syrupy and sweet, borderline cloying if too much is sprayed. It's feminine, warm and floral-ish without it venturing anywhere toward your "typical" floral. I get frequent wafts of this throughout wear, however I'm not sure if anybody else can smell it. It's definitely a fruity floral, through and through. The bottle is pretty - you can see the front from the pic, however the back is matte black with no writing - sexy. I have Armani Si and never reach for it...it's just a bit too syrupy for my taste, although I don't hate it. So while this is nice, I'm not sure how often I'll reach for it.

Such a cozy gourmand! Sweet vanilla, fruity pear, and green and mature cassis combine to create Always Red Femme's scent. It's soft, leafy (as in crushed leaf), and sweet without being cloying. It really is in the vein of Armani's legendary "Si". I called it cozy because of some reason the scent draws a picture of a pretty lady relaxing at home in white pajamas. Although, the smell could easily work for any other occasion. It's quite versatile. The bottle may not exactly match the scent but both are beautiful in their own regard. Disappointed that the floral design on the bottle is a sticker, though. I recommend this for the fans of gourmand, cassis, and/or Armani's Si. Always Red Femme is a mature gourmand scent, suitable more of the cooler seasons. Big "Like".
