Eau Fraiche

Pure frutiger eco energy. Such a green, fresh and even somewhat spicy scent.. Very verdant. If you don't like any of those qualities in your perfume skip this one but I love it. It's very lemon and mint forward but you also get that distinct geranium and spicy spice profile as well. The other notes don't stick out too much to me. I'm not sure why people aren't placing this as "great value" on the pricing since it's an absolute cheapie. I got a 3.3oz bottle for like.. $14? That's absurd. I love to spray it on either after an evening shower or before work. It really can go with any occasion if you just need something light and refreshing but inoffensive. Definitely doesn't last long but I don't expect much in that aspect. Personally I'd wear this all year round it's just SUCH a great generalist fragrance as long as you like green/mint/citrus and spice.

In a unexpected turn of events, Eau Fraiche has supplanted EA Green Tea as my "easy reach" Spring and Summer fragrance. To give context, EA Green Tea has been my warm weather scent for decades, a subtle and unobtrusive freshie that could be sprayed with abandon. Eau Fraiche was a blind buy when Green Tea was temporarily sold out on my favorite perfume website. I remembered the Fragrantica reviews and decided to give it a try. As mentioned in many other reviews, Eau Fraiche is more herbal and lemon-forward than Green Tea. It is an energizing scent for me, one that can be accidentally oversprayed with no worries about offending . Thank you Fragrantica reviewers for alerting me to Eau Fraiche!

at first spray, this seems so familiar! it's green and woody and the woods are a bit smoky. i think i get cedar, lemon, mint and geranium. after a few minutes, the florals get stronger. it's still very green and refreshing but not as bitter and the brief smokiness is gone. it turns into a realistic floral and smells like an actual flower, with a hint of the herbalness from geranium. i think this is really gorgeous and refreshing and i like it even better than i thought i would.

I love this fragrance. Herbal, green, slightly spicy, and fresh. I think it's that combination of geranium, mint, and lemon that draws me in. I know it's not for everyone, but it's for me and I can't get enough of it. My husband doesn't comment on too many of my fragrances, but he likes this one enough to mention it to me the first time I wore it. Perfect for spring and summer! One of my faves.

This fragrance does not smell exactly like Dolce and Gabbana original Light Blue, but this fragrance is in the strong citrus family. A close relative. Shower fresh and clean. Best way to describe it. And you have 5 hours of guaranteed sillage. Spring, summer fragrance but can wear in fall/winter and still keep fresh impression.

Just bought one on sale with the pink cap... such a lovely fresh floral scent. Somehow citrusy but sweet... loving it so far. Smells like jasmine tea with a zest of lemon... not overpowering just a nice spring scent but I think for someone who live in tropical country could use this anytime anyseason...

My old boss adored this fragrance as he told me that every time I wore it, he was immediately transported to the hanging gardens in Mumbai... its green and yet citrus and floral at the same time, I also thing there's a little ginger and black pepper. I've loved this one for 30 years, both formulations.

Lemon starts out this perfume on me and I love it! My bottle is the one pictured, with a white cap. Thankfully I do NOT get the lily of the valley overload that others report. There is no fragrance strength listed on the bottle. The bottom sticker says "Fragrance Spray" and "Made in France."

A blind buy, I always wanted to try it and after seeing it for a very cheap price I got it. Totally unisex to me, and much better as I expected. A perfect alternative to my beloved Aqua Allegoria in very hot summer days and nights.

This is by far the perfect scent for hot summer days. It is fresh, lemon zest and green, subtle floral. I feel like I could drench myself in it and would not feel like it's too much. I love it!

I first noticed Eau Fraiche by Elizabeth Arden, around 1AM in a club in Cork, Ireland during the Spring. Somehow it defined that time and place for me. This woman walked past me wafting this powerful fragrance that made me think of a wood fairy, or something. I actually approached her and (probably creepily) asked her what her perfume was. She was shocked that I could still smell it as she had applied it over 10 hours before. She told me it was Eau Fraiche by Elizabeth Arden. The fragrance snob in me was a little taken-a-back as I had never worn an American fragrance before and I couldn't picture one of those bottles with the big square plastic caps, on my dresser. Also, I almost exclusively wore Oriental Floral or Oriental Spicy Floral perfumes. Never green. But, I scribbled it onto a matchbook and dropped that into my purse. The next day I found it in a little department store and I wore it for the entirety of the Summer. It never wore it after I finished that bottle. For me it is Spring/Summer in Ireland many many years ago.

This was a successful blind buy after reading reviews. Modern reformulation with the light green cap. It's green. Herbal. Forest and/or garden smell of green leaves and grass after a cool rain. Has a somewhat similar note to broken chives/alum stems but without the sulfur smell. Refreshing. Unisex. Smells somewhat like green tea. Has a touch of moist soil. The mint is very subtle. It dries down to a light and sweet floral base. Perfect for spring and hot summer days. Longevity is poor; it becomes a skin scent on me after 30 minutes and is gone in 1 hour. It lasts up to 2 hours on clothing, but I have to bury my face in it to smell anything. But what do you expect from a Eau Fraiche? It's basicly a body spray. My grandmother had hosta plants bordering her flowerbed and they have a particular smell when they're drenched after it rains, and some dirt gets stuck in between the succulent leaves. Eau Fraiche reminds me of that.

When I handed my mom my bottle of Green Tea asking her if she wanted a spritz she pulled out Eau Fraiche from her dresser. She said that it complemented whatever deodorant she used to wear years ago when she was working in an office building at the time that was always a little too warm. Instead of her trying mine I tried her Fraiche. As soon as I sprayed it I remembered her smelling this way but never realized that it wasn't just her deodorant or some kind of shampoo. It definitely works as an office scent. I can't see it offending anyone as it sits pretty close and fades down well. The florals are quite loud at first with a good bit of fresh tang from the lemon. In an hour it's mellowed out to a somewhat powdery herbal sweet musky smell. I'm glad I bought Green Tea as a blind buy on sale instead of stumbling on this accidentally. It's nice, but it's just not me.

A blind buy for me. While I like it enough, this is not a love. And the name is appropriate. Eau Fraiche. It is a very green, bright scent. I don't get much in the way of spice and the green is very strong, almost overwhelming to me initially. It calms down and is fresh and innocent and clean. Has good staying power and is very affordable. On me, it lasts a good 8 hours. It isn't a scent that I typically gravitate toward, but I felt my wardrobe could use some lighter, fresher scents for the warmer seasons and this one fits the bill for me. I will still be looking for a summer "love", but this works. I likely won't repurchase and would not really recommend it as a blind buy unless you truly love green fragrances.

Deeply aromatic, green and earthy with a heart of hardy geranium and jasmine. My nose detects an almost over-ripe fruity note. Think of this as the summer sister to Clinique Aromatics Elixir. This is a great example of the 1980s flirtation with slightly off-kilter aromatic green perfumes that steered away from the chypres that dominated perfumery for decades and is a precursor to the generation of tea-based fragrances to come. It runs unisex and is vaguely reminiscent of Cacharel's Eden to my nose.

I love this for every day wear. Very green. A lovely fresh uplifting fragrance. Feels like a clean rain-washed day when I spray it on. Great blend of zesty citrus and green notes. Dry down is gentle and long lasting. An old classic from Elizabeth Arden and a winner for me!

Smells like clean and green. Unfortunatly on me it doesn't last at all so I always have to take it in my purse. Anyway it's one of those parfums that you can wear almost everywhere without being unappropriate

One of the few blind buys I regret. I was expecting a clean, green fragrance, but instead I got bug spray It was cheap, granted, but for a little less, just under 10€, I have been buying the most amazing citrus fragrance you can imagine at my local chemist in Spain, in an edp and 100ml format, which goes to show that you can do a quality fragrance on a budget Sadly, in its current formulation, this is neither quality or nice, I do not recommend it at all

A blind buy that didn’t turn out as I expected. I got the bottle at a bargain and hoped for a fresh summer scent. On me it’s a very generic Lily of The Valley, and that’s it. Since Lily of The Valley gives me headaches and makes me nauseous it washed it off in a couple of minutes. So I didn’t have a chance to enjoy the nice, spicy notes everybody is talking about. Such a pity. Perhaps this is yet another reformulation - my bottle has a green cap - or maybe just a mishap in the blending. Anyhow it lacks al dept and refinement. This is definitely not for me. But I suppose it’s the right thing for someone who loves Lily of The Valley.

I do not get any of the notes shown in the table. Instead, Eau Fraiche smells of pure, unadulterated lily of the valley - and nothing else. This is more like an extract than a composition. I am not complaining, though, for Eau Fraiche is photo-realistic and of fantastic quality and could serve as the holy grail for of lily of the valley fans. My bottle of Eau Fraiche that does not look like the one shown here. It has a pink cap, and the font is different, too. Very strong in the beginning. Last about 3 hours, but get soft after the first hour.

I think the narcissus and the iris are the most intensive in this. Unusual smell, yes I suppose 'floral green' covers it, with a lean towards the floral side, a very fresh kind of floral. Tell you what folks, if it's projection and sillage you want, this stuff's nuclear - sprayed some on my hand and can still smell it many washes later! If this is the EDT, the EDP if it existed would be knocking people out for rings round the wearer! Bottle unwrapped today and I've a feeling it's not quite 'me' so up for swap within UK.

Well, this is a surprise, a very pleasant one. I love the scent itself, but did not expect much longevity. I am a middle aged woman with dry skin and EDT-s usually don't last on my skin. So I was absolutely delighted to be able to still smell traces of some lovely floral notes on my skin about 15 hours after I have applied the EDT. Obviously this is not a powerhouse and it is not meant to be, but it just increases my fondness for this lovely citrus-floral-green scent.

This is a bitter monster of a fragrance. It smells of bitter lemon as you spritz it and hits you like a punch in the stomach. 30 minutes later it mellows down and becomes the most gorgeous lemon sorbet you ever tasted, so much that you can't avoid sniffing your wrists every now and then. 2 hours later it just disappears. It is very cheap, so maybe it is worth a blind buy, especially if you like bitter notes in fragrances, and lemon, of course.

Blind buy (very cheap one) and wonderful surprise. I like fresh perfumes with something particular and here the nice surprise is the coriander opening paired with citrus notes, followed by flowers coupled with spices. Then woods calling the precedent protagonists to end the show in a lovely dance. Very beautiful scent, very well composed, I love it. Nice staying power too, much longer than most of fresh colognes.

On me this is a skin scent that smells as though I'd stepped out of a shower of lemongrass. Citrusy, grassy, fresh...perfect for a hot summer day. Note: Oddly enough, when layered with Coty's Wild Musk it increases the staying power of CWM, which is otherwise lost on my skin.

a beautiful product that reminds me of my grandmother who used to wear it in summer. My review refers to the original bottle with a pink plastic lid. A fresh, clean and floral scent. For me the best note is a subtle carnation. Loving memories, very feminine and innocent.

The scent of a rainy forest in late May. A mint and narcissus symphony reminiscent of Geranium Pour Monseur by Frederic Malle. Green floral, fresh and uplifting, refreshing like a spring shower.
