Green Tea Cherry Blossom

I was born in 1993 to a very young mother. She had me at 22. So it was age appropriate that my mom used to wear The Healing Garden Green Tea Therapie in the 90’s when I was a kid growing up. I remarkably remembered the name of it even now as an adult, along with a few others she used to wear such as Bath & Body Works Daffodil Fields, and Hollister Malaia. Which is weird because we’ve never even spoken about these fragrances, i just remember seeing them in the bathroom as a young child and reading the bottles. When I started getting into fragrances as an adult, I realized I had a special fondness for ones that have been a part of my past. Some of my all time favorites are ones that adults who were very special to me wore when I was a kid. Unfortunately, all 3 of the frags I just named have long been out of production. But thanks to Fragrantica, I found out that Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Cherry Blossom smells just like Green Tea Therapie!! So I was thrilled when I saw it on sale cheap one day at Ross. I don’t usually buy frags from Ross because you can’t test them and it’s all sales final, but because this one was one I’d been wanting to try for a while, I couldn’t risk losing the opportunity as they only had one bottle. So I bought it. Brought it home, smelled it, and oh wow. Keep in mind that I hadn’t smelled GTT in a good 15+ years. The last time I smelled it I was in grade school. But suddenly it all came back to me. This was definitely what it smelled like. I asked my mom “remember that perfume you used to wear when I was little, called The healing garden green tea Therapie?” “Yes, omg! How did you remember that?! I completely forgot about it!” And then I said “I have something I want you to smell”... she smelled it and well... let’s just say I now have to share the bottle with her. She wears it to work almost every day! It took precedence over some much more expensive perfumes from her daily rotation, such as Light Blue & Fresh Life. I am 26 now, and I find it really truly special that I’m wearing what is basically the same fragrance that my mother was wearing when she was my age.

I really, really love this fragrance. I wouldn't wear it anywhere fancy really, but it's a really wonderful smell for a sort of body mist spritzer. You'll have to spray it three or four times to get the full fragrance. This is something you'd take with you on a beach/tropical holiday, to the beach, or something you'd wear on a warm summer's day where even the lightest smells can be a bit too much. It's not quite a body spray, but it hasn't got the complexity of other perfumes - it's a great in betweener! and it's great value for money! I got a 50ml for around 23$ (but I'm from South Africa, and I'm not sure how that affects anything). The green tea, cherry blossom and peony notes come out strongly, and after a while, a sweet candy-like plum smell starts to show through. It lasts a good 5-6 hours, and I'd say someone within 2-3 metres would be able to smell it. To get the best out of it, spray it on the hair behind your head (it's warm so the smell dispenses well). This is great for anyone aged 15-55 in my opinion :)

Apparently I like this better than the original Green Tea. It has the same airy green tea quality like the OG with a hint of floral which I suppose comes from the cherry blossom (which I'm pretty sure that the real thing has no fragrance from my own experience). It has a body to it though very light. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea starts off with a crisp green tea and tart lemon. Imagine lemon green tea on a hot day. It's light, green and fresh, a fragrance that pictures summer/spring so well I couldn't think of using it during colder months. I'm quite impressed with its longevity for such price tag as the original Green Tea lasts no more than 2 hours or so. This one stayed quite some time on my cloth, but obviously the sillage is something to be expected, people need to be close to you to get a whiff unless you overspray it.

I wanted to try this fragrance and when I found it on sale, I immediately took my chance and I didn't regret buying it ever since. It smells light on the nose, and mixes pretty well with my skin chemistry. The green tea is not too strong and mixes quite well, surprisingly, with cherry blossom. It lasts me about 3-4 hours. It suits a light and cheerful yet calm mood. I wear this when I feel a bit down as it lifts up my spirit. I will definitely be on the lookout for another sale on this one so I could give one to my mom. Suits any age. It somehow reminds me of days when I was younger, but it also suits women as its scent is somewhat fitting for a young yet mature soul.

I love this one. I have so many perfumes and I am always surprised how my body chemistry does best with the ones that seem to be disliked by many. On the contrary many perfumes others rave about smell terrible on me. I can't do any chanels, those immediately start to smell like dirty diapers on me and so on. This one smells so soft and pretty on me as it dries down. I love the creamy soft scent it leaves on my skin. I always get compliments on how nice I smell, and that's the thing, this is not a sexy perfume. It's nice, soft, clean and happy. At first spray it's a bit too citrusy for my like but it quickly softens to a flowery almond smell.

Yay! Thanks for adding this one! I was able to buy this version last week. The beginning of the fragrance is floral/tea with a light citrusy opening. As the day goes, the cherry blossom makes a poignant appearance that softens the citrus and tea. By the drydown, I was left with a powdery, floral, slightly woody scent that lingered on my skin. It isn't my favorite flanker of the EA Green Tea series, but I do like it for spring. Longevity was average at about 5 hours. It wears pretty close to the skin, although the hubby said that he really liked it. Nothing groundbreaking, but feminine and pleasant all the same.

When I got a sample of this at first I just liked it, but when I bought my first bottle I fell in love. On my skin fragrances tend to smell sweet so I try to leave out verry sweet fragrances. I tend to pick flowery scents instead. But this one is a perfect combination of freshness, flowers and a little of sweet at the end. It just makes me happy when I wear it and it's perfect since I live on a tropical island. It's like I just got out of the shower!!! The only thing that I don't like is that it last for only 3 hours but when I resprayed it lastes a little longer.

I haven't smell it yet but after a famous all green tea line this one I want to purchase suddenly without a doubt of smelling. All citruses, tea makes everybody fresh up and a little bit sweet of cherry blossom may be like a wind blow hair. I don't wanna compares this one with Cherry princess from L'occitane but the bad thing is I don't like pink ! 55

It's fresh, pretty, light, delicate, inoffensive, nice, green, watery. All that sounds so wishy washy, and yet--it is such a perfect perfume. It makes me happy every time I spray it on myself, and I don't ever want to be without it in my wardrobe. Especially lovely on hot days. And thank goodness, I can't detect the apricot.

I'm a guy and I bought this for myself. I layer it with Guerlain Cuir Intense for a leathery-floral bomb. It's very enjoyable. This is floral, soft, citrus, tea, barely powdery, musk. I wouldn't wear this out of the house (by itself) being that it's absolutely feminine.

This is a delight when you want something inoffensive, delicate & charming. I love it. I think it's being maligned unfairly in many of these reviews. I find the staying power to be quite good & so far it's my favorite from the EA Green Tea line.

Considering how generic, muddy and pedestrian many of the Green Tea flankers are (and I'm a big fan of the original), at least this is actually trying to take the original and do something new and different with it, as a flanker should! I was pretty disappointed with Sakura Blossom, as it seems to place very little emphasis in the note in its namesake, and is mainly a polite shampoo-like floral with an emphasis only on bergamot and jasmine with your typical Green Tea dry down. Cherry Blossom, on the other hand, not only has a prominent cherry note, but it actually lingers all throughout the base notes of the fragrance, Cherry Blossom starts out with a very prominent, almost medicinal cherry candy note that becomes more lotiony (but still candied) within a minute. The classic green tea note is still prominent here too, and does a beautiful job of adding some herbal freshness to this otherwise pedestrian floral fruity flanker. There's also a bitter and creamy almond that pairs so well with the cherry. They really play so well with each other -- the candied, synthetic cherry balancing the bitter and herbal green tea and oakmoss, and it gives me a menthol feeling in my nose when I breathe in from my wrist, which I rather like! The dry down of Cherry Blossom, with its pairing of more androgynous chypre notes like bitter green tea and oakmoss paired with remnants of the more tart candied cherry, is unlike anything I've smelled before, and deserves a try just for how unusual that is and how well it works! If you're looking for a prominent cherry note or an almond note, I recommend trying this over Sakura Blossom, which promises these same notes but doesn't deliver. The cherry here isn't juicy or natural at all, but the herbal notes of the green tea and woods and oakmoss help bring it down to earth and plays with its medicinal quality in a way that's genuinely cooling and refreshing. You may not like this "cough drop" cherry, but it's hard to deny that it's at least trying something and it's not another lazy rebottle of Green Tea with an extra added note. Lasts about 6 hours, which is actually longer than the original. ★★☆☆☆

Sweet and effortless - peonies, tea, bergamot. I find the cherry blossom note rather muted compared to the rest, which makes me think this should have been Green Tea Peony! Regardless, Green Tea Cherry Blossom is my favorite flanker of the Green Tea line. The original Green Tea unfortunately dries down to lemon Lysol on my skin, which was rather a heartbreaking disappointment, so I've tried my luck with the Jasmine, the Honeysuckle, and even the Spiced Green Tea - but Cherry Blossom reigns supreme. It stays consistently floral and green in equal measure throughout, with a lingering effervescence from the bergamot and citrus. The tea keeps the florals in check from ever getting too soapy, thankfully. The sillage is pretty personal and lasts about 4-5 hours tops on my skin. It is crowd-pleasing enough to bear re-application throughout the day, perfect for when you're absolutely melting in the heat or stepping out of a cool shower. Instantly mood-lifting and refreshing. For such a pleasant, balanced fragrance, you really can't beat the price tag. This one is a staple in my wardrobe, and I find myself turning to it again and again when I have a hard time deciding what fragrance to wear. It might not be challenging or diva-esque, but it's very beautiful all the same in an understated way.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find that Green Tea Cherry Blossom was worth the money I paid for it, which luckily wasn’t much. I suppose public opinion really does dictate price in this case, when compared to the more favoured and higher priced original Green Tea. GT Cherry Blossom IS pretty, but it is also generic, soft and short lived. You will feel as though you have smelled this countless times even if you haven’t. I agree with earlier reviewers that Green Tea Cherry Blossom is suitable as an after shower or post gym freshener. It is slightly fizzy like overripe fruit in the opening but does become more mellow and musky in the drydown which is when I decided to forgive it. As this fragrance shares so many notes with so many other products on the market, it might enhance a note in another fragrance which you would like to propel to the forefront if you layer them. The peony and musk stand out to me in GT Cherry Blossom, but I see that other Fragranticans smell other notes more prominently. I’ve layered it tonight with Cabotine Roses (another soft pretty floral musk) and the citrus now stands out. I think this is more versatile as a layering tool than a stand alone fragrance. Perhaps it was money well spent after all if it can enhance other soft floral woody musks.

If you are already familiar with the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea scents, then you already know what to expect with this. It is truly "Green Tea Cherry Blossom." I enjoy the Green Tea line because of how clean, fresh, and affordable they are. If you want to smell clean and earthy, then look no further than this line. These are reliable light scents. With this flanker, it starts off smelling just like the OG Green Tea on me. Then, once the drydown starts to happen, the cherry blossom comes into play. This is a very fresh cherry blossom that smells "floral" sweet, so don't let the sweet almond top note fool you into thinking that this smells like a candy or more "fruit cherry" rather than cherry blossoms (which a lot of cherry blossom fragrances are guilty of). Longevity of this fragrance isn't bad for a more affordable EDT, in my opinion. It lasts for a couple of hours. I would also say that this is a safe fragrance, as it appears to be really difficult to "overspray" it on yourself. Overall, a nice, clean, and feminine fragrance that should appeal to ladies who enjoy white florals and green scents.

This is my favourite pick for days when I want something basic or do not want to waste something expensive. I find it light and refreshing, not sugary sweet or 'old lady'. I can detect citrus and green tea, however I do not get the cherry blossom in this at all... If anything it smells more like ume, or plum blossom to me. I asked my mother, who is Japanese to take a sniff and she agreed that she thought it was odd that cherry blossom is meant to be in this. In our experience cherry blossoms don't really have a scent, they do but it is so light and not something I would think would be interesting enough to bottle. Who knows, maybe it's just our noses! EDT's tend to last poorly on me, however this one lasts moderately well. Not an amazing scent, but is inexpensive, easy to locate and pleasant. I love spraying it on warm days.

I generally go for gourmand scents as floral or citrusy scents do not work well with my body chemistry. However, this one lingered on my skin for 4-6 hrs which is rare because floral scents only last less than 1 hr on my skin. I received this from a friend as a gift, and the first time I smelled it, I thought that I would never wear it. However, I tried it a few more times and grew to love it. It smells fresh and clean, the type of scent to use every day or after the shower. It smells exactly like the name, green tea with floral notes. This is perfect for all ages, and I do not really see it as a scent to use at night. This is worth it for people starting out with fragrances because it is a safe choice. It is not irritating to the nose nor too strong. It just smells nice and clean.

Fresh and clean fruity-floral, perfect for spring! Green Tea Cherry Blossom has that fresh out of the shower smell that we love to encounter occasionally. Nothing gourmand or edible smelling here. A nice break from today's taffies and coconuts, lol. Wear this running errands, to Sunday brunches, picnics--any daytime activities. The longevity is great--it lasts for hours and hours on the skin and clothes. Sillage is awesome as well! It wraps you in a subtle scent bubble that continuously wafts throughout the day. My nose picks up the tea, cherry blossom, sweet almond, and the faintest of musk. This is a complex scent--that was made to be very easy going. I bet this fragrance would be great to layer with other fragrances.

Opens with a light and non-intrusive, but cheap note of synthetic maraschino cherries and then dries down into a lovely unsweetened lemon iced tea. I was nervous from the pink bottle that it would be one of the less exciting fruity-sweet Green Tea flankers, but this is a surprisingly very realistic Arnold Palmer iced tea fragrance. I really don't mind riding through the maraschino cherry opening for a few minutes to get to it because that drydown is so worth it, and bizarrely enough, can't quite be found in the other Green Tea flankers I've sampled. These Green Tea flankers continue to surprise, the ones I get excited the most for tend to smell cheap and awful and the ones I overlook tend to be the best.

I really like it! The citrus is strong in the top, along with the orange leaves. I can definitely also smell the green tea. In the middle the florals shine, I get mostly peony but also the cherry blossom and the plum. The base is a close to the skin woody musk. I would wear this when I wanted a fresh, non offensive, green floral. Good for casual or the office. I would like this for bedtime and it would be nice in the summer if it could withstand heat and humidity. Got it for $9.99 at Marshall’s as a blind buy for a 3.3oz. The box is very pretty as is the bottle, so it could be a pretty gift. My first green tea Elizabeth Arden, if the price is right I’ll try more!

my mom gave me this after buying it in a gift set with the original green tea fragrance. it's very light and refreshing. i tend to be attracted to heavier and more controversial perfumes, but this one is sweet and happy and i can't help but like it. i reach for this at times when my usual frangrance choices might cause offense- appointments, visiting in-laws, hot summer days. it lasts much better than i'd expect for such a gentle fragrance (and i have trouble getting perfume to last on my skin) and it puts me in a good mood. and at this price point, although it isn't one of my favorites in my collection, i will certainly be repurchasing when i run out.

I have almost wriiten off this Green Tea line (aside from the lovey Lavender Green Tea flanker) because the original and Lotus flanker both remind me of hairspray. Then, I smelled this new edition Green Tea Cherry Blossom and it's very nice! Soft, femme, not sweet or tart just floral and lovely! You can really smell the green tea in this the way it was intended. Cherry Blossom is most definitely the star of the show here though. I wouldn't mind adding it to my collection for perhaps next spring. 3.5/5 STARS

I cannot contain my excitement! I finally found a perfume that reminds me of the discontinued Moonflower by The Body Shop! It's magically flowery. Makes me think of chilly spring nights, when everything is about to start blooming yet a soft, cool wind still blows, and the sky is painted in vivid turquoise and cold, dark blue. The small leaf and flower buds bless you with the most mesmerizing colors of sheer green and pink. Hold your breath. It's a truly mysterious beauty.

When I first sprayed it on a cotton swatch, I thought it was horrible!! All I could smell was a screechy, sweet undecipherable scent. But a few minutes later, it settled down to a lovely sweet fragrance. It kept getting better (on the swatch) and after about 30 minutes, it turned out to be something that I liked. It is winter, so I'm sure it's going to be a different animal in the spring/summer, but I'm definitely going to revisit it again.

I have found it to be rather similar to Sweet Flowers by Montale – the same sort of artificial tea which is more black than green, a hint of apricoty-peachy flavoring, and a bouquet of wilting flowers in an autumn forest full of fallen leaves giving off a sweetness that is simultaneously crisp and earthy. It's light, but not in a springy-floral fashion that it is supposed to convey; for me it has a distinctive autumn vibe.

Smells just like an Arnold Palmer cocktail which is an American (U.S.) non-alcoholic beverage made with 50% iced black tea and 50% lemonade. I have been around plenty of cherry blossom trees in Japan. I do not recall them giving off any aroma so I do not know of the true cherry blossom scent. I also do not smell anything reminiscent of cherries or almond. A must have if you love Arnold Palmers and wish to smell like one.

Smelled this one at a duty-free after a rough night out and had to get it immediately. Very crisp and green refreshing scent that instantly lifted my mood and made me feel more alive. Perfect for one of those days! It doesn't stay on for very long (3 hours tops) but once I respray it, it lasts way longer. I prefer this one over the original green tea, as the cherry in it gives it a slight sexy touch to it! Nice scent!

This is very unusual, I'm a big fan of the line, this one is somewhat different, I expected a fruity floral, but instead got a lemon tea, it's definitely not unpleasant, but when you read the voted notes, I had expected a strong cherry blossom note, it is there, it's just very soft and subtle. Maybe it's more apparent in hot weather? Longevity and performance, soft to moderate. It is nice, it's definitely refreshing.

I sampled this today and actually didn't notice the green tea- at first spray, all I could smell was nauseating synthetic citrus that made me regret spraying it. After a little while, though, that died down and I really liked the scent that remained: gentle, warm cherry blossom with a hint of musk (it's not listed but I was sure there was a light musk). It reminds me a lot of the Body Shop's Japanese Cherry Blossom.

Green tea, cherry blossoms, musk, citrus and juicy plum, are the notes I picked up. The blend of slightly bitter green notes and floral cherry blossoms is just delightful! As it's an EDT I use it on my skin after slathering on body lotion and it lasts 1-2 hours with a projection of 30mins. If EA can improve the longevity, I'll repurchase it as the scent is summer worthy.

Some years ago I was looking for a fragrance for my daughter who was 10-12 years at the time. This was perfect. The green notes and citrus convey a dewy youthfulness while the cherry blossom makes a pronounced feminine presence. The green tea, bergamot, and oakmoss notes hint at the sophistication of a chypre. Lovely, lively, and very appropriate for a young person.

At 7.99 for a 1 oz. bottle, this Green Tea Cherry Blossom was a great blind buy. The opening is boldly and delightfully citrusy. As a lemon fan that is fabulous for me! The flowers are nicely girly. I like the zingy freshness of the tea. It's sunny and warm nearly year round where I live. This will serve me well.

After getting the 4 mini Green Tea collection for Christmas,tried this on vacation in Phoenix (where it was 101!) It smelled almost identical to the original Green Tea on me,but my skin never seems to project florals. This was a pure, fresh tea scent on me, refreshing and light for hot summer days.

Smells similar to the original EA Green Tea but not as fresh or citrusy. I smell more green tea than cherry blossom. The floral note here is a bit sharp, not sweet as I was expecting. Overall, not bad. It's still a refreshing summer scent but not as good as the original Green Tea.

A nice perfume. To me, the scent doesn't last very long, maybe for 2 hours if I'm lucky and has poor silage; I can only smell it if I sniff right at it.. The scent is nice but nothing really special to me. It's a bit ordinary. I smell more green tea and a hint of cherry blossoms.

the most polarizing scent ever even if the notes read inoffensive. i get iced lemon tea rather than anything cherry blossom. sweet and girly but definitely an old lady scent. it smells cheap but i love it anyway.

this smelled like the cheap hand wash in public comfort rooms with a splash of tea. not that i disliked it, but there's something about the cherry blossom. still good to have in my collection though.

Very floral...very heavy on the peony this one is...with that said its still very sweet and likeable...no fruits in the one, which usually would not be OK with me but I do like this one...

It's lemon tea, plain and simple. I don't get the florals at all. I was expecting this to be "the bees knees", but no... bit of a disappointment for me.

A cute, young and clean scent. There’s more cherry blossom than green tea to me. It’s an EDT so dont expect much on the longevity and silage.

I so want this. This sounds perfect, and I love the original Green Tea! But where can I get it? Needs to be someplace that ships to europe.

Category: Musky, floral, citrusy Notes: Sprays on very astringent with lots of bright, sour citrus and some bitter black tea - very reminiscent of a Russian Earl Grey and so I’d say mainly bergamot although there is some lemon present as well. With time more of the floral aspect emerges although I can't really place what and wouldn't immediately attribute it to neither cherry blossom nor peony, although it is definitely giving pink floral. There's definitely some plum in there as well, adding a very mild fruity touch. The greenery also becomes more apparent with time as petitgrain and some bitter bergamot peel emerge, as well as the very green birch in the base that is giving more freshly broken young twig than the sweeter sap. Aside from the birch the base consists only of a clean, indistinct musk. Vibe: Sage green. Ice tea. Overnight oats. Spring. Spa treatment. Cucumber water. Clear raincoat. Morning dew. Apple blossom. Flower buds. Sillage: 3.5/10. Very intimate, bordering on a skin scent. Within just two or three hours sillage greatly diminishes to the point of a skin scent. Longevity: 7/10. Pretty good lasting power on this one, especially for an eau de toilette. It certainly doesn't retain an impressive sillage throughout but I could still detect this about 7-8 hours after spraying it on my wrist. Wear: Daytime. Spring or summer. Very feminine in my opinion, wouldn't recommend for those you enjoy more unisex or masculine scents. Appropriate for pretty much any age in my opinion, and so I don't think an ideal range exists for this one. Very mild, clean and inoffensive so definitely office/workplace approved. Overall rating: 4/10. While Green Tea & Cherry Blossom is pleasant and refreshing it is also boring and underwhelming. Nothing here stands out as special or defining, it is just a simple clean scent appropriate for any occasion. While I would hesitate to call it a crowd pleaser, I have a hard time seeing anyone hating this. What's a word for something that neither pleases nor disturbs a crowd? It's just a meh fragrance. Who would wear it?: Sydney Sweeney.

I mainly bought this fragrance because I love cherry blossoms it's my favourite flower, one thing I've always hated about cherry blossom scented fragrances or products is that they tend to be too sweet, but this one is a true cherry blossom fragrance, it doesn't smell sweet at all, but you can definitely smell the natural floral scent of cherry blossoms, the smell of green tea is also prominent in this fragrance. But while I love both cherry blossoms and green tea separately, I don't particularly like the combination of the 2, this particular combination just smells really odd to me, I had such high hopes for this fragrance considering I love cherry blossoms so much but I was quite disappointed, I would not wear this on myself, I mainly just use this as a room refreshener. I would've liked this fragrance more if it was predominantly just a cherry blossom fragrance without the green tea note. Luckily I only bought a small bottle of this for only AU$10, so at least I didn't waste too much money on this.
