Green Tea Mimosa

Browsing through the scents at Marshall's last night and found this beauty for 9.99$ USD, as well as the Green Tea and Cucumber and two others from the line. I told myself I could only get two... so of course I pulled out my phone and pulled up this encyclopedia of perfume magic...trying to decide which two to bring home. I tried the original Green Tea way back when, and even though I'm sure it was pleasant enough, I don't remember much about it and have not been in any kind of hurry to buy it again or try any of it's flankers, but man am I am so, so very glad I chose this one!! The only other fragrance I own that is heavy in mimosa is Versace Yellow Diamond, which I love! And I think this one is very similar, but I actually prefer the drydown of this one much better. To me, Versace's drydown is fresh, fruity citrus and super fun and youthful. But this one has a lovely floral green tea skin scent that lingers and lingers. I absolutely love this! The initial blast is a blast of zingy citrus and refreshing green tea, but then comes the soft, sweet, if a bit musky (or dusty? Is that right?) mimosa that reminds me of my favorite tree in my grandmas front yard. It's blooms and her peonies were always the signal to my youthful mind that summer vacation was (finally) here! I adore this smell and I am so glad I found it! It is perfect for summer! Now I must try or maybe even collect them all! How can you say no when you can find some of them so affordably?

This smells like half of the notes in Yellow jeans! What’s missing is the sandalwood, Violet, and peach. This is quite lovely and à much better yellow floral than that god awful screech demon “Sunflowers”. Sunflowers is the reason I get nervous seeing “yellow florals” accord listed to this day. In the world of yellow florals, it’s always a gamble where you might end up with either Sunflowers and Jo Malone Honeysuckle& Davana type yellow florals, or you’ll get lucky with Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey,Yellow Jeans, or Green Tea Mimosa yellow florals. This also reminds me of Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey.. Even though neither have honeysuckle notes, the yellow florals are very close to photorealistic honeysuckle. I’m now wondering what Green Tea Nectarine smells like in comparison to Jo Malone’s scent. What I like about this edt is that you can still smell the green tea under the extremely sweet honeyed mimosa note and it’s quite strong for a fragrance in the Green Tea line and has more staying power. I’m going to try layering this with my Ffern Spring 25 which has the violet woods and bergamot aspects of Yellow Jeans that GTM is missing. Each perfume respectively smells like the violet woody citrus and sweet yellow florals are halves of Yellow Jeans.

EA's Green Tea Mimosa turned out to be a pleasant blind buy. It's joined my other favorites in the GT line (Lavender, Fig, Nectarine Blossom, and Exotic). I love everything about this scent (except its performance)-- from the colors to the packaging and the well-blended notes. It's a pretty, citrus floral that I'm enjoying in the current winter weather. I rarely use any GT fragrances in hot weather because the citrus notes turn far too sharp on my skin. The green tea and citrus notes are the most noticeable in the opening but they settle pretty quickly giving the mimosa a chance to come through. Longevity and sillage are poor, so the base notes round off the scent quickly, leaving a clean, floral, citrusy scent that sits close to the skin. This fragrance requires a re-spray— either that or spraying it on your top to extend its longevity. I'll likely go through this flanker quickly and can see myself repurchasing it.

I've been trying to get my hands on this for over two years and I finally have it! I have tested it many times but it was always just too expensive for my wallet in stores (Canada) and while available online from Europe, also prohibitively expensive. But I found an affordable bottle on eBay and it's legit and wow I'm so happy. What a perfect lovely sunny fragrance for spring. I'm so enjoying this right now! The mimosa really stands out and is truly the star here but the beautiful citrus notes really compliment it. The green tea is there in the background, to me, but I do sense it. This Green Tea flanker has very decent sillage and projection. To me this, the original Sunflowers and Sunflowers Sunkissed are my favourites of the whole line.

I bought this "blind" on sale at Marshall's. For $10, EA's Green Tea Mimosa is a wonder. I grew up with mimosa trees, and have always adored the fragrance of the pink blooms. This fragrance doesn't quite capture mimosa for me, but it is lovely in its own right. First spray: Sunny citrus and bright florals, which mellow nicely on the drydown. I get an increased presence of lily of the valley and orange blossoms the longer I wear it. The scent lingers nicely on me, which is unusual and appreciated. Reminds me of Clinique's Happy. Probably best for warm weather, but I'm wearing it right now on a -6 degree winter night, and it's definitely lifting my spirits!

Indeed on the top of my list for elizabeth arden series. My favourites from Elizabeth Arden green tea series are: Mimosa, Exotic, nectarine blossom and Fig.. Surprisingly, it only took 5 simple ingredients and it became a wonderful fragrance.. A delightful, powdery & happy scent. A blind buy but It took me by surprise i never knew mimosa smelled so nice. Heliotrope as the base must have given it the powdery scent. I didn’t regret buying it.. In fact I love it so much I went back to the store and bought another 2 bottles... =]

These flankers are wee gems! This one is exactly what it says on the tin....opens with citruses, start to get some mimosa in the middle, but I get it most on the drydown along with some heliotrope. Just lovely. Very well balanced and nothing really overpowers anything else. I think I will practically bathe in this one and the fig as the weather (eventually) turns to spring. Wonderful cheap fragrance that easily rivals perfumes 5 times or more its price. As does the fig!

This is so nice and summery! I bought the original EA green tea and it did not last more than 30 minutes on my skin, I gave it to our teenage daughter. So I did not have high hopes for this either, but i LOVE Mimosa, so for $10 I tried it. SO cheerful and sunny. A definite great summer fragrance, the tea notes dry down very quickly but the mimosa (although not very realistic) and slight fruity note, are very fresh and last a good long time. Which is rare for my skin.

I don’t think I’ve ever smelled an actual mimosa plant, but I think the powdery floral scent in this flanker is gorgeous. It’s not your grandmother’s powdery floral. This is THE perfect bedtime scent, or just anytime you might be looking for some extra softness. I can’t decide if this is my favorite GT flanker, but it’s way up there with Lotus, Nectarine Blossom, and Pomegranate.

Absolutely lovely!! The best in the Green Tea collection of those I've tried. Superfresh. This is definitely not a heavy nauseating powdery type of perfume in my nose. It's a very 'clear' and blooming scent.

A wonderful scent. Softer And warmer than the original Green Tea, and I love it for that. I’m sure it will be even better as the summer comes along. A bit of happy sunshine in a bottle.

My absolute favorite from The tea line. it reminds me of when i was coming back from my 3 hours ritual in The Hammam back home in Morocco and i pass by a mimosa tree.

I picked this up over the weekend at TJ Maxx 3.3oz for $9.99. I have the Cherry Blossom Green Tea as well. I would say out of all the green tea flankers I have smelled this one only has a hint of green tea in the initial blast and it honestly doesn't last much longer than 3 minutes tops. Then you get a bit of citrus and then the lovely floral mimosa middle. Its really cheerful! It dries down to a skin scent floral, you've got to put your nose up against it to smell. I think you would probably need to reapply after 4 hours to get by. If you consider what the line is, sort of a crowd pleasing, not offensive, mood boosting scent, well this one is very, very Darling. Lovely for work or casually running errands, a mood lifter before chores about the house. Good smells for you, save the expensive stuff for going out!

The only yellow floral in the Green Tea flanker range, and by far the most powdery flanker. Starts out tangy and somewhat sour, then quickly (within 5 minutes) mellows into a creamy, musky mix of tea and baby powder. Unlike the original Green Tea, which is unisex, dry and a little spicy, this is a more powdery, feminine tea drydown. Like brewed tea with milk vs. raw tea leaves. Nectarine Blossom has the same powdery and innocent tea note, but it's overall sweeter. This is a nice choice if you want the gentle powder and musk drydown of the more feminine flankers but still want the unisex and citrusy feeling of the original.

I received a bottle of EA Green Tea Mimosa from a generous Fragrantica member. I really like few of the flankers and find this one quite enjoyable as well. It starts as a soft tea scent with a hint of mimosa that is nice but not good enough to get my attention and then unexpectedly I can smell sunny, powdery mimosa flowers as if I were in a front of blossoming mimosa shrub. This is a kind of hide and seek mimosa experience since I cannot smell it all the time. It comes and goes. It lasts over five hours on my skin so I feel lucky since many people find it short- lived.

Musky, but fresh. Not much green tea or mimosa in this, just a citrus floral. I plan to use as a car freshener. It’s a skin scent and pleasant. I would prefer Clinique Happy to this in terms of wanting a mood booster. This will be great as a body spray. Great in summer on long afternoons running errands. It reminds me of a nice candle at a spa or (and this is weird) but shopping in Anthropologie.

I dislike EA Green Tea and bought his one and the lavender for $9.99 at Marshalls. I regretted it and let them sit a week before opening this one. What a surprise! A tea fragrance that I like. Big blast of alcohol and citrus in the top then green tea and some lovely mimosa flowers. Very green and bright. Fresh. Summer, here I come!

I thought i liked the fruity flankers most but theres a reason those never stuck with me. GT Mimosa has the right amount of the original, with the slight sweet powderyness of Mimosa that I love. I enjoy the Green tea note here the most as the spices are gone. Perfect green-floral scent for me!

Fresh, sparkling and in a way more feminine than the other Green Teas I had. I can definitely detect the mimosa, but it is blended very well. Lasts much longer as it's an EDP, and and the dry down is lovely, lightly musky and I even thought peach blossom was in the notes.

This is my favorite out of the Green Tea collection. It's fresh, kind of citrucy, light and fun. It's my most beloved "relax at home" scent right now. It does disappear in about 30 minutes, so I wouldn't be taking it too seriously if I were you.

Slightly sweet and musty mimosa, “gray” musk that is a bit skin-like, and (unfortunately, imo) some powder that covers any tea.

For me, GT Mimosa smells just like the cocktail, orange juicy, fizzy champagne, plus powdery heliotrope. Good flanker!

Rounded clear floral, no green bitter, not sharp, flowery but non-specific. Clean and easy

Big mimosa and deep green tea scent. Nice, good for warm weather, intense but very fresh.

Disappointed. Couldn't smell any mimosa. At all. Very similar to the original green tea, just a bit softened with some flowery hints. Ok, I agree it is a very fresh and unintrusive scent. Useful in summer. If you like the rest of the flankers you will probably also like this. From the reviews it seems several people get a lot more mimosa than I do. Maybe I have anemia to this one as Bookofhours had to Jo Malone's cardamom mimosa because I was expecting something like the big wonderful mimosa in that one, without the cardamom. And all I got was some tea and a big fat "meh". It is cheap though, and not unpleasant in any way, so if you're in to mimosa I'd say it's still worth to take the chance.

It is an acceptable day-time office perfume. I do not find it a very memorable scent unfortunately, but it's OK for a cheap duty-free treat. I do not get a discernible mimosa scent. I've had other Green Tea variants in the past and this is the weakest one. My partner, who is very sensitive to scented perfumes & creams, can't tell if I'm wearing this product or not, that is how weak this scent is.

This is definitely more green tea than mimosa. I had hoped a bit higher, lovely, soft yellow mimosa content but it is not that far off the original if memory serves. Perfectly useable as a light cologne in the spring summer for the price. Not enough sillage or longevity, or character, to really be anything else.

I am an EA green tea lover but so far the flankers I've tried are unsatisfying. I don't even get the green tea anymore, all I smell is the powdery yellow thing, it's safe but not remarkable. I sometimes even forget what it smells like. I can always decsribe my perfumes well except this one.

I loved EA Green Tea so I saw this and the appeal drew me in. Longevity and sillage are more powerful than OG Green Tea, but oh my god that orange is orange, and not in a sweet and refreshing way but in a "oh god I got orange juice in my nose ow it burns ow ow ow" kind of way.

The initial spray is obviously green tea and strong citruses After abt 5 minutes it turns into an indian body smell { no hate towards anyone } After more than 30 minutes finally it turns into a citrusy jasmine with mimosa powderyness

Fresh done absolutely right! Perfect musky mimosa with that green tea signature. Lasts better than the others. Quite original, never boring and shampoo-like- just a darling fresh, uplifting and stylish fragrance.

Mimosa adds a little something to the overly green profile, but it's nothing to write home about. Not very flattering, in my opinion. At least the scent carries and lasts.

Its like your trying to cover the smell of someone {who’s brown eats a lot of hot spices onion and garlic }with flowers

First off it does NOT smell like mimosa, at all. It's a citrus-green tea mix no nonsense perfume, good for summer I suppose, it is a sour smelling thing so if you are not into this type of perfumes don't buy it. I use it as a deodorant and it performs really well. The longevity of this thing is unbelievable it lasts all day on my inner elbow and if you spray it on hair it has enormous silage, but again the smell is so average I wouldn't want to have this silage following me everywhere. All in all, out of all green teas this one is the longevity champion, but it doesn't really smell like all the rest of EA green teas, not at all 😕

this is quite citrussy at first, and pretty screechy. i get a ton of citrus, some tea and some mimosa. i really like the original green tea and i love mimosa and saw that this one had a powdery drydown, so that's what drew me to trying it. however that is not happening for me at all. this is a very strong citrus, and it's very chemical like hairspray. it doesn't change after being on the skin for a long time, and it gives me a bit of a headache unfortunately.

I love the green tea line and I'm always curious as to what the flankers smell like. I bought this one for a great price. Unfortunately, my nose interprets this scent as a bug-spray sort of scent. I can't get past it. It's not coming off on my skin as anything actually floral or tea like. Of the few I've tried (not too many so far), this one is my least favorite and the only one that will be leaving my collection.

It smells very masculine to me. Something about it is pungent too. There's tea and citrus note, but they are not very nice smelling in my opinion. Sorry to say, but there have been much better fragrances in that line, this is disappointing.

There is absolutely no mimosa in the one...I don't get any citrus notes that makes the "great tea" line so pleasing...I'm not really liking this one...there are so many other better flankers in this series...

I blind bought this one because it’s says green floral which I normally love. I was disappointed not my type of green fragrance I love. I’m gifting it.

This smells NOTHING like Versace Yellow Jeans. This stinks. Straight into the trash. yuck! That being said, if anyone knows of something similar to Yellow Jeans please post to YJ's reviews. I miss that perfume so much.

The only EA Green Tea flanker I have tried. Bought it on a whim admittedly because it was so cheap and I was feeling sorry for myself having anosmia issues lately and not being able to smell Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom. I didn't expect this to smell anything like the Jo Malone but I figured it was low risk and I was curious about the combination. Initial thoughts: Very fresh floral, reminds me of freshly washed laundry dried in the sun. Soap and sunlight. Doesn't last long on me but neither do many more expensive fragrances. I usually like orientals but I can imagine enjoying wearing this this summer when I just want to smell fresh with a touch of floral but unintrusive. Like that it's not too sweet and if I put my nose to my hand it's an almost like a faintly dusty, sunwarmed smell. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's powdery but I guess this is the mimosa. Will experiment with heavier application as I can't imagine you can really overspray this. Pleased with the purchase for the price and curious to try the jasmine, spiced and camellia flankers now. Will also test again in a few weeks when in case my nose is a bit skewed.

Ok so let me start off by proclaiming my never ending love for several Elizabeth Arden perfumes and makeup line. So....I stumble upon this last night at SDM, which if it came out in 2016 they are way late in getting this!!! Anywho this is magical!!! As much as I love the green tea line, I have to admit the longevity is weak at best,and I constantly have to reapply and even than many of the scents are only detectable to the nose which is wearing it....But this one! Wow was I suprised that when I put yesterday's shirt back on this morning that it's all I can smell I can't freaking believe it!!! I was so shocked that I had to go smell !Y other perfume I had been wearing on my scarf when I was out (also an Arden perfume) just to be sure it wasn't that I was smelling and it definitely was not it was the mimosa!!!It smells so nice. It's got this fruity beachy vibe to it, almost translates like an escada scent does. Very summery. While I will wear any scent anytime of wear this one would be best suited for warm weather, like Beach weather! I can't wait to buy this

I fell down the EA Green Tea rabbit hole a while ago and while I find the OG to be fairly screechy and uninteresting, I love freshies to such an extent that I'm not mad at about the money I spent to own it, and I wear it often and bought a few flankers. Mimosa was one of the first and I love it. Out of the six flankers I've tried, it has the best longevity although I still overspray and reapply with abandon. I don't typically prefer powdery notes but in combo with the heliotrope and ambrette, it just works. It's a fuzzy, yellow, forest-meadow-adjacent, standard definition version of the OG. It's my favorite so far. This line of frags is so affordable, it's a no brainer to give any one of them a try, if simply for the education. If you like slightly woody, slightly floral freshies, Mimosa represents that category well.

In a desparate search for Mimosa? This is not it. Not on my skin, anyway. I was searching for a diluted Mimosa Pour Moi -ish effect. Not unreasonably so - of course I realized I wouldn’t get the same, almost linear mimosa branch. But I had to pretend I sense mimosa... like, on the other side of town, albeit the entire town is having a laundry day and hanging clothes out to dry after using citrusy detergent. Ok, the detergent was a natural organic one. And still... It’s wearable; I will find a use for it. But my thirst for specifically mimosa has not been satisfied. I am, alas, very close to opening that very last sealed MpM I have left. Woe is me. It’s not bad by any stretch, not at all. Very pleasant, nicely balanced, but it lacks... emotion. There is no mood to it.

Begins with a screechy sweet orange & lemon citrus top notes, that it is further intensified by the green tea note. After a minute, you can detect a gliding undercurrent of a natural-smelling, nondescript heady floral that melds and emerges slowly with the citrus. After a while, the intensity dies down and what's left is a softly-buffed, musky, less intense but still very sharp, citrussy-green tea-floral scent. I had to reapply after an hour but I found that it "builds" nicely and less screechy over time. After a good 6 hour mark, right before bedtime, all that was left in this citrusy pile was faintest sillage of the mimosa floral.

Fresh citrus against honeyed mimosa. There's a similarity to Clinique's Happy, which also has grapefruit and mimosa, but this is softer and less sharp on opening but still bright and uplifting. Most of EA's Tea scents tend to fade quickly and this one is no exception but it has a bit more cling to me than the OG does. The citrus notes are refreshing, almost juicy-sweet, and fade into powdery mimosa. Lovely in hot weather.

First impressions: This definitely has iris and violets. I don't know what mimosa smells like but I thought it's yellow floral and honeyed but that's not what I'm smelling. Unless mimosa smells like iris and violets combined. It's a nice iteration of Green Tea, which I LOVE. More floral, more powdery, super relaxing and clean. It'd be great as an after the shower fragrance.

The brightest, youngest of the line. Although I still haven't tried the Jasmine one. I like the vibrant, candy-sweet beginning better than the floral end. This one is less green tea-ish than the others. Update: Although this is fresh, young and light, Nectarine Blossom is still the most youthful in the line because of it's over the top fruitiness.
