Red Door Revealed

I have been craving powdery scents lately, so I am really enjoying this. I am a Red Door hater, but I love Red Door Revealed. They are not very similar to me, other than they both have floral notes. This is a light, sweet floral, with a hint of powder. It has a syntheticness to it which many people might not like, but I don't mind it. I was afraid of the drydown being the same at the original, but surpringly, this doesn't seem to have a drydown at all. It remains stuck in the middle phase and then disappears. Longevity is poor, but this is so affordable, reapplying is OK.

omg!!!! im so shocked to have found this perfume here! Ok so this was one of my first Elizabeth Arden perfumes back in 2008... at the time i was so little and me wearing the fragrance made me feel mature because it does have a mature ,classy and comfortable aura. Plus if u like long lasting fragrance that would stay on even after laundry then this is a must have. Because of how strong this fragrance is it could last u for a year because 2 sprays could last you d whole day. PS: I still have the empty bottle :)

I've been wearing this for the past month and I just love this. There is a soft lipstick type of powder vibe with a pink and white bouquet of lush flowers. The trail it leaves is enticing. It is powerful so all that is needed is 1 spray on each side of the neck. My coworkers told me how nice I smell and wanting to know what I was wearing and I find this much more wearable than the original red door. This Makes me think of sun dresses and spring days.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE!!! For an inexpensive fragrance, this is at the top for me. My skin usually eats fragrance and it's really hard for me to find an inexpensive one with such longevity and sillage. I had sprayed my usual 6 sprays or so 3-4 hours before I hugged a friend who later called me wanting to know what I was wearing. Transference from my clothing to hers....she was still swooning in its beauty. This will ALWAYS be in my collection!!

I sprayed this and was instantly in love. It gives me a mix of honey nectar, baby powder, lipstick and caramel all in one. I have the original Red Door and this is nothing like it. I am fully in love. This is a perfume as a skin scent that can be worn any day or season. I bet it is stunning in the summer. I’m wearing it on a brisk March day in London so I think it will blossom in heat. I got 100ml for £20 which is a bargain. Love!

Sweet floral, powdery and makeup like scent. I sense slight amount of green notes as well. Peony and plum really come out in this one. I love it! Very feminine perfume; mix of vintage and youth. It gets better with time: fresh flowers and old fashioned lipstick and cosmetics scent is what I get. It lasts awhile, 8+ hours. I'm liking EA's perfumes more and more...I'll be testing many of them in my near future:)

Upgrading my rating to love, because today I am loving it. Pink floral, heavy on the orchid note, lots of musk, a little woody, a hint of plum. No clue what everyone else seems to be repulsed by here, I find nothing fecal, urinous, rotten, sweaty, poopy, or "off" about it 🤷 Maybe I just like poop smells. And no, its not Red Door. If you already like Red Door, best to purchase Red Door instead.

This is an underrated Elizabeth Arden scent. I feel it is a very gentle and comforting fragrance, powdery (not overly so) and lightly floral/rose. I have also used this for layering and it works great. Would be good for just about everyone I think. a good one! EDIT: I really think this is the best flanker of Red Door. I wear this when I get "perfume weary". Extremely wearable scent.

I love fruity florals for summer and really enjoy this cheapie. I think it smells great. I am always a bit cautious of a white floral, but the rose in this balances out the white florals beautifully. Certainly not unique but worth a try. For an EDP it doesn't last too long on me, but I find that with most of Arden's fragrances. At that price you can spritz away and re-apply.

I sympathize with those who did not get this perfume. Apparently, it is capricious in landing on the skin of the body. It opened up beautifully on me. Fine peony powder, refined and elegant, powder is thinner than in After Five. Lots of complements. I have a neutral skin temperature. The perfume bottle as in the main picture. 100ml.

I like this, nothing groundbreaking but the scent is good. I have an old bottle with the rounded pink cap. I didn't have any problem with the texture of the liquid being greasy, etc. Just a clean fresh floral, boring and nice. This doesn't blow me away, but now I find myself wanting the newer bottle version to compare.

I cannot remember how I stumbled across this blind buy. I am SO glad that I did, however. It is AMAZING. I get so many compliments when I wear it. Backups will forever be in my linen closet because I cannot imagine not having this as a choice in my collection. It is so inexpensive as well. Win win!

In my country Some Elizabeth arden perfumes are easy to find in any perfume store(such as original 5th avenue,sunflower,original.green tea,beauty)but others are difficult and sometimes impossible to find.red door revealed is one of the difficult ones and I was trying hard to track it down.I didn't know why I insisted on having it.I tried original red door couple of months ago and disliked it.I was worried that it's pink sister may be similar or be on the other side of track,another generic pink rosey fruity scent but something deep down me said you must not skip this one.finally I found it thanks to a friend who has a perfume shop which has even the ones that nobody else has here and I received it yesterday I was surprised!in a very good way! On my skin it's not a too much young,generic fruityfloral at all!it's very feminine but in an adult way.when I first sprayed it the only thing came to my mind was a pink flowery powder puff and I adore this type of scents.it smells like face powder,body cream and lots of flowers.flowers are soft and blended so well that I can't separate them.I just know there's rose and pink flowers in it and some white florals.pear is also there adding sweetness and giving it a fruity freshness but it's not too juicy or strong and still flowers are the main actors.musk and woody notes showsup as it dries down but there's just a light touch of them.I can also detect a hint of something tea-like..in this stage it has more of a white flowery body lotion vibe,different with it's pink powder puff opening I believe it's a spring perfume but I know that I'm going to wear it year round whenever I need something soft,feminine,flowery and pretty.it's a light scent .it's longevity passes five hours which is very good for a cheapie IMO and people sitting near you can smell it All in all I'm very happy to have it.it has a soft feminine personality which is lovely and while being safe,easy to like and easy to wear;it smells unique and I can distinguishe it easily among dozens of other pink scents

I first tried this scent a few days ago when I went to bed - somehow the soft pink and clear bottle gave me the impression that it would be a good one for a comfy sleep. :-)And so it is. Soft, floral (with a touch of fruits and woods), feminine, gentle, pleasant, little sweet and powdery and very lightly sensual (in a clean way). Very likable and not only for bedtime. This could be used anywhere, anytime, really. I couldn't shake off the feeling though that this is somehow similar to Boucheron Jaipur. So I had to try again the following night and it still felt the same way. I checked the composition in both and indeed there seems to be a large number of similar notes (some white flowers...plum, peony, orchid, rose, musk, amber, woods...in both). I am testing both of them now and they are similar (to me anyway), only Red Door Revealed is simpler, lighter, sweeter, little more powdery and girly while Jaipur is more refined, complex, rich and exotic and also spicier and sharper somehow.

This smells absolutely nothing like the original Red Door. However it is a lovely fragrance! Very fresh and light but with something unique to it. It's a very light white floral with main hints of peony and rose but it is very well blended. The dry down is a beautiful sweet light musk. I feel that the dry down is what makes this fragrance memorable, without it would be very forgettable. This smells similar to Provocative Woman and Arden Beauty from EA more so than Red Door. Revealed lacks the intense hinoki that Provocative Woman has (which I find overpowering) and isn't as interesting as Arden Beauty. All that being said this is a lovely fresh clean fragrance that is reasonably modern and isn't as vintage as other fragrances from Arden which also has a reasonably unique quality to it. It's not ground breaking but it's lovely. (How many times am I going to say this fragrance is lovely? Maybe it should have been called that instead of being a Red Door Flanker!)

Wow! I blind bought this during cold winter months due to reviews of this smelling fluffy bubblegum candy like. All winter and spring i tried it and it was a gross mess. I thought i bought a bad bottle or it just didn't work with my chemistry. Well my little angels inside kept whispering to try it again. Its been hot and humid, so i just took it out and put some on. My oh my!!! Gorgeous!!! The fluffy airy sweetness lingers in the air! The candy blooms on my skin! I quickly sprayed myself all over and rushed on ebay to buy another full size bottle! I know ill be needing it! Woohoo! Im so so so glad i didnt give this away! I know better but i still give up too soon and toss too many... I have to stop doing that. Im just so glad i kept this one! Its a beauty. Ill have to try my other red door flankers now and this coming fall to experience their true beauty. Remember- dont toss em til you try em in different weather!

This is a pink floral scent. It smells adult, but not too mature. I'm 22 and I love it, and it makes me feel more adult when I wear it. It opens up with a sharp peony scent. It smells like powdery peonies and roses mixed together. Think pink peonies, roses, and baby powder! This is a great scent. It's very strong and long lasting. I used up a whole bottle over a year and a half and have another one on the way. It's a "safe" scent if you're a fan of strong powdery pink florals. The bottle is really cute. I use it as an everyday daytime scent. Great for the spring and summer. The powdery-ness of this fragrance really makes you feel fresh. Yet, this fragrance is strong enough to wear in the fall and winter. It's a very feminine scent as well. A classic pink floral.

I'm surprised by the amount of people who describe this perfume as light and lacking longevity. This perfume begins light and flowery in aroma on my skin but with good sillage but then, maybe 2 hours later, the base notes which I love become apparent. I tried the original red door many years ago and hated it so I should try it again now that my perfume tastes and nose have developed. I love this perfume for summer day use. It really lasts and develops on my skin into something far beyond flowery (I buy it from US so maybe it's the oak moss). I have noticed that it develops better in warm weather. I wouldn't get depressed if I couldn't still source this discontinued perfume but I am happy that I can still source it.

Not exactly my cup of tea,but very good scent I found it quiet similar to Paul Smith Women ,which I own and suits me better than this one Revealed is calm musky floral with shades of guaiac wood and black amber,I like the green orchid best in this combination,it blends so nice with other flower notes and it stays out most The scent is undisturbingly pretty and well blended I gave it to my mom ,because it doesn,t go along with my skin Very nice perfume from EA Like it...

This is great for the office because it's pleasant and sits close to the skin. I like it ok. It's a "white noise" kind of scent for me. It's there, it's pretty, but I really don't notice it while I'm wearing it. It's one of those perfumes I wear when I don't feel like making a statement. It's unpretentious. It's not a scent a scent that calls out to me when the seasons change or I want to be in a certain mood. It just blends into my day.

compared to the original Red Door which has a very strong old-fashioned classic scent more suitable for much older mature women, this Red Door Revealed is alot more modern and versatile and more suitable for younger women also. I love all the different floral notes in this, it has a very nice elegant scent and Chemist Warehouse sells this for only AU$39.99 for a 100ml bottle, so it's also affordable, I love this fragrance.

I am falling in love. Yes, this is kind of fragrance that makes you think, you are in love. Gorgeous floral fragrance that is cosy and feminine. It's not rich but it's fragrance you'll associate with that feeling of falling in love with girl next door. Nothing that makes you feel mysterious but completely vulnerable. If I could associate song "like a virgin" to a perfume, this perfume would be it.

So I’m reading the comments and I see it’s been reformulated!? That explains my brand spanking new bottle smelling like moth balls rather than like the gorgeous floral candy my Og bottle gave me. My new bottle was the domed one too- I’m going to buy the pink door next and I’m praying that it’s not the moth ball 💩 smell cuz ima be so angry 😤 if it is!!!!

THis smells pink!Lovely pink flowers,sweet and delicate.It makes me think of a girl in a long flowing dress that is sitting in a swing being pushed by her boyfriend.THey r in a pink flower bed in early spring.A very feminine and alluring fume.Even tho it isnt heavy,it has nice sillage and lasts quiet a while.

I love it - it's fresh, powdrey and soft, fine and delicate and the same time sexy ... I don't feel it on my skin anymore, but more I move my body, the more I feel it with me I don't personally like the bottle, but the parfume really is good!!!!!

I like this. I just got it and at first I hated it but it really is ok. It is much better than regular red door in my opinion. Much more feminine and young, I think suitable for late teens/early twenties : )

I used to have this and I really liked it. I got in a gift set with three other Elizabeth Arden scent. I like this better then the original Red Door. I would like to get again.

This one is definetly better than red door. It still reminds me of red door but it doesn't smell as strong it smells more feminine.

Category: Floral, musky, soft spicy Notes: Sprays on very floral and a bit spicy with prominent peony, a bit of narcotic lily and a mild, clean musk in the base. The spiciness is a bit hard to place but if I had to guess I'd say likely some carnation or potentially licorice/star anise, although neither are listed in the note pyramid something spicy is unmistakably present. With time the rose and plum emerges more, with the plum being very dark and adult rather than the juvenile gourmand-ish kind. It also gets more sweet and powdery with time, and I can't quite place which note that's supposed to come from either - perhaps the black amber? After a few hours the spiciness and powderiness subsides and gives way to a clean, yet mature floral musk with some woody nuances from the gaiac wood while peony and lily remain at the forefront. Vibe: Clean, silken bedsheets. Pinstripe suit pants. Red wine or rosé. 5-star hotel stays. Metropolitan. Art gallery. Manolo Blahnik. Botox. Bouquet of white lilies. Manhattan. Crystal glasses. Glass tables. Checkbooks. Hermés. Sillage: 4/10. Definitely quite strong when first sprayed on, but settles into what I think is a skin scent after an hour or two. Very pulled back and timid projection. Longevity: 3.5/10. Pretty poor longevity, will definitely last a minimum of 3 hours but after that point it diminishes in intensity to the point where longevity becomes less of a talking point. Wear: Day or evening. I think this is suitable for year round wear, but probably best saved for late spring or early fall. Definitely a very feminine fragrance that I wouldn't recommend for men unless deliberately trying to challenge gender norms. Peony to me always reads as mature so I’d put the ideal age range somewhere between 35-60. Overall rating: 4/10. By no means as terrible as some reviewers here claim this is, but definitely not a fragrance for everybody. As I also associate peony forward fragrances with a more mature wearer I can see where the “old lady” associations come from, although I think it just smells refined and classy in a way that feels off on someone younger as opposed to more outdated or vintage fragrances that people often associate the scent of “old lady” with. Peony to me screams successful business woman in her 40’s or 50’s who loves rosé wine and the finer things in life, and this being peony forward means it is no exception. It starts out quite strong and has a surprisingly spicy undertone that can be a little rough on the nose, but it dissipates with time and gives way to a really wonderful and deep floral musk with woody undertones that is both clean and slightly intoxicating at once. To me this is actually quite a lovely fragrance, but it just does not suit me at all as a woman in my late 20’s, and I can definitely see individual skin chemistry playing a large role in how this lands. I also believe that this is one of those fragrances that audiences under 40 are largely not going to be able to appreciate, especially if you tend to drift more towards gourmands and the more bright musky fragrances of the 2020’s. Tried this alongside my mom (a lady in her 50’s) and on her it smells divine and makes total sense whereas on me it feels a bit mismatched despite smelling nice. When first sprayed on it reminds me slightly of a more mature version of Paris Hilton’s namesake fragrance from the early 2000s in the pink bottle with black stripes, but quickly loses the resemblance as it travels into the base. There is by no means anything to be repulsed by here though, so all the negative reviews makes me wonder if the fragrance has a tendency to go rancid if stored improperly. Who would wear it?: Present day Kate Moss.

Just a heads up 2023 - there is the old packaging: ear bottle, baby pink oblong neck and domed shaped lid,and the new one: baby pink door shaped design glass bottle, smaller oblong clear lid. These scents are VERY different. The older one you could blind buy, it was was rosey, freshie slight fruit type.. the new one is loud, rounded fecal white floral. Yes, you read that correctly... fecal... rounded delecate poop note amidst the white florals. An over the top richness to it which seems to lean that way. I would test this one with your chemistry first.

I bought this during winter and tried wearing it then and again in Spring and it was a way too much of a thick, stuffy old fashion floral. However, I tried to give it one more chance this Summer in the heat and this is when it shines! It’s a beautifully blended pink floral that’s so elegant & pretty. It’s very inoffensive & office friendly. Obviously, this fragrance was intended to be a Summer/hot weather fragrance. Also, it smells nothing like the original Red Door.

Review of 2023 revealed. Summer test, overcast but warm day. On a card this is like the notes suggest, a relatively clean, floral. On my skin itsmuch more rounded and 'thick', and yes edges very close to rich/clean fecal... not stinky poop as you may find walking into a public toilet, but that... hard to describe... it's rounded, green, deep animalic floral. On the fabric of my sleeve it's not at all. Very much a test first scent

Ok, something if off about this. I have the bottle pictured with the domed cap. The first time I tried this it smelled very unpleasant. Very! To be fair, I only tried it on paper, so perhaps it changes on skin. I wrote a less than pleasant review, but before I hit submit, I figured I’d try it again on a test strip just to see if there’s anything else I needed to add. It’s better than it was the first time. That really unpleasant smell, is way more faint than it was the first time. It’s not the oak moss, I have other fragrances with oak moss that don’t smell like this. Maybe it’s the guaiac wood or the combination of the two. I have no problem with a musky or earthy scent. Maybe there’s a bad batch floating around or I got a bad bottle. I truly don’t know. I’d say, definitely clear the straw before trying this, that seemed to help me. I have EA Pretty and to me they do not smell alike. Pretty is just that. This is a bit funky. I haven’t been brave enough to try this on skin yet. If I do, and I find it performs differently, I’ll add an edit. But for now, I’d say this is not blind buy safe. Edit- ok, I’ve just read other reviews and I see what I was thinking has already been said, that unpleasant scent is, as previously stated, fecal. There is something in this that smells incredibly bad. Glad to hear I’m not the only one smelling that!

I had to delete my review. The more I wear and test this the more and more I HATE it! Very sickly lotion smell. It just GROWS! I think I just need to stick with the original Red Door and not take anymore chances with the other flankers. My original instinct was correct. Original RD is a master piece. No need for others. A bad blind buy. Rotten body lotion in a bottle. I tossed this. The longer I wore and tested this fragrance the more unbearable it became. This review was for the original bottle not the new door bottle. Edit I am sooo disappointed that this didn't work for me. I kind of wanted a "pink door" to be sisters with my red door. It just wasn't meant to be. Change the above emoji to a HATE!

While I thought the scent was pretty, and something that would be good to wear in the warmer weather, I couldn't get past the texture. Now I know some perfumes initially give an oily feel. This did too, except it never lightened up. I felt like I put an oil slick on my neck and wrist. The perfume never meshed with my skin, but just laid on top of it. Had I purchased it anywhere outside of a department store, I would have thought I purchased a fake. But this was purchased from TJ Maxx and I know they do not sell counterfeit items. It's too bad, because the scent was actually very pretty and something I would have liked to use as an everyday casual perfume.

From the promising note pyramid and gorgeous bottle, I was expecting a pretty, fresh “pink” perfume, and this is the opposite of that. What’s annoying is I can tell that this is almost beautiful- rose and peony are among my favorite floral notes- but something in here is making it smell completely OFF and rancid, totally masking any floral freshness. The pear and plum is giving an “old fruit peels stuffed in the garbage disposal” air, the same unpleasant effect I get from Clinique’s Calyx. This isn’t powdery at all on my skin and I’m shocked that it comes off that way for anyone. It’s earthy and sharp. This just isn’t pretty at all.

Something about this perfume really doesn't work with my chemistry. I bought this because it's peony dominant but I don't get peony at all. I get a nondescript "perfume" smell with a (and I'm so serious about this) fart/poo smell combo. That's what this smells like to me: generic perfume scent+fart. It's pretty gross.

A light, non-descript fruity floral, good for warmer months. I don't get the baby powder dry down as some say they do. It is just a hard to discriminate slightly sweet fruity floral that I think would work well for the office or any place you need to fly under the radar with your scent.

I don't know what this perfume has that everytime I tried it... I had a pretty strong headache ! there is something about this scent that my entire body can't take it ! Won't buy or recommend this one, never again !

It smells like a wash room after an old lady who hasn’t showered in a few days has been in there, done a poo, flushed, and then sprayed a floral air freshener. Animalic, indolic... gross.

I forgot I used it. It was a forgettable fragrance. I can't review a thing because I don't even remember the scent...

I was so looking forward to getting this to complete my "Red Door" full range collection. There is a nasty jarring note that takes hours to settle down. The dry down is softer, but seriously this is the only Red Door perfume that I seriously dislike. It felt like one awful note drenched the whole bouquet with sharp, jarring, highly awful, floral. I love most perfumes and have never clicked hate before. I can't for the life of me think or tell which note it is. After more thought, I think it's the Yellow Champaca as I've never come across this note before or maybe Pink Peony, I've only come across this note before In Dior perfumes. I dislike the Dior fragrances that have this note in it, and I think this what's so distasteful. A real let down, and not at all like the full range, that are all unique, but come together as a beautiful collection.

To me this perfume smells like a stinky old lady with BO. I love Elizabeth Arden fragrances and I love vintage perfumes as well but this one is horrible to me. It reminds me of a really old lady who doesn't take very good care of herself and then sprayed this on to try and cover it up. I'm sorry I'm not trying to offend anyone but this is just what I get from this particular fragrance.

The perfume deities led me to a shop where Elizabeth Ardens Red Door Revealed was a silly 17,00 for 100 ML! As a 'self respecting' Perfumista *cough* ; ) I could not walk by without picking up a bottle! And I am soo glad I did! At first spray I'm transported to a dressing room of a theatre or ballet? Flowers everywhere for opening night, the smell of expensive rose scented body powder (the kind that comes in a luxurious keepsake container with a big white fluffy puff) lingers in the air. Chanel lipsticks in various shades of pink are carelessly left on the vanities. The orchid and peony are the first notes I discern...hmmm...then something soft and very powdery surrounds me (I have no idea what guaiac wood smells like, but I bet it has something to do with this delicious powder effect) Then rose and champaca join in and in the dry-down a hint of musk with the smallest touch of oak moss. The dry-down is very persistent; this scent never looses its floral-powder beauty. It's strong and soft at the same time. It's innocent but not 'childish' and makes you feel 'pampered'. It's a very yummy smell, reminiscent of Versace Baby Rose, yet more mature. Baby Rose is more like a playful after shower/before bed cuddle scent, whereas RDR has a persistent feel of tender beauty and pretty feelings about it. It's very feminine. Not in an overtly sexy way but rather in a sensual and peek-a-boo floral-powder way. I can't stop sniffing my wrists when I spray this and I have noticed that this clean (not too clean), soft floral powdery darling also gets the approval of men. Perfect for people who adore soft powdery florals that have enough musk to give them a slight sex-appeal without being too *aggressive*. I understand why other reviewers have mentioned a "plastic" smell....I can only guess it's the combination of the guaiac wood and the oak moss with the plum? that strikes some noses as plastic and I can see that this could cause headaches; so sample before purchase because this *note-mix* is noticeable and will linger! Silage is: "pretty florals and expensive body power are on my skin" -- Longevity is very decent for such a soft scent, on me 6+ hours. To my nose its suitable for all occasions since its pretty and soft nature makes it very versatile. Another EA scent that didn't disappoint me.

This is like Red Door's kid sister. Even as such because of the flowery scents it has a mature woman association. But truthfully it's for anyone who loves flowers. I don't care for age group association in frags. Fruit is fruit not 18 year olds. Flowers are flowers not 59 year olds. This has a fruity opening as a matter of fact a very sweet and delicious very noticeable pear. The pear is paired with a rose and that always smells very realistic and very much like a rose. Of course this is a synthetic rose but it's very nice. The rose scent has a citrusy smell and I realize that could be the orange blossom which is paired with the rose. The noses behind this scent did a fine job of matching up all the notes that end up going very well together like when you match colors in clothing. This is very flowery so if you like floral frags this is not a problem. I do like this scent when I feel like "lightening" up my wardrobe since I also wear a lot of darker unisex or men's cologne scents with leather wood tobacco and Oriental Middle Eastern ouds and incense. I'm a perfume slut and wear everything. My skin chemistry can handle anything. Even this. The dry down is a simplified woodsy note. It has guaiac wood very soft and very perfumed wood smell. Beautiful. Recommended for casual wear although it can be worn as a formal perfume. Spring in a bottle. Wear it in spring.
