Sunflowers Dream Petals

Really nice, I smell a dominant musk w/slight crisp fruit and fresh floral/rose. Best for daytime and I use this most in the warmer months. This is an easy go anywhere, do anything, everyday, all season scent, IMHO. A great throw on and get the crap out of the house scent, if you like a light sweet musk. One of my most worn perfumes of the last 2 spring/summer's. This may have actually overtaken Green Tea as my favorite Elizabeth Arden perfume...yeah, maybe tbd...

This perfume costed me plenty of notting ..... and it actually smells nada .... but, wait, there is sumting der, a supernais smell of rose, orange and musk! But, to smell all this goodness, I must spray me over and over again, this perfume is more like a bodymist. And, happily it smells more with layers, f.eks. with mimosa. Og heia mgp, we are all winners ;D

This has truly become a very classic smell for me. It is quite 'safe', rather intimate and soft, but it goes very well on my skin and even after a full day I sometimes smell it a little and just know I have smelled great all day. Especially because I am not a big fan of heavy perfumes, this one is totally worth the low price it is being sold at.

Powdery soft blend. Safe ingredients. Stays close to skin and smells clean and creamlike.

This is a pleasing enough, as Mooniq say's envelopingly nice as harlight in Swedish means nicely around, like the sun one's skin when it's cold out and the warmth feels ever so well 'harligt, sorry I haven't got the right a letter here on this keyboard. It's a skin scent and I agree not loud, just caressingly soft. THe gardenia is linear and ever present, the musk faint, the rose very faint, the apple faint but juicy crisp. For and EDT this lasts quite long on my skin. The overall impression I receive from this is like being in a garden in Autumn, mid to late autumn. The flowers all doing their best to eke out the season. The colours and fullness of Zinnia's and Dahlia's planted alongside Black Velvet Roses. This was worth the effort in searching this one down, it is nothing like the original, but this I see and smell as a good thing. I paid 20. aussie dollars for this 100 mill flacon which is the same design as the original. I agree with it's namesake. It is dreamy. Just like a lazy autumn day full of yellowing sunshine and moist petals from fat flowers filling a colourful garden bed in the afternoon. Cheers T.

A soft, musky floral that makes me think of a cashmere blanket dusted with light pink rose petals. The rose isn’t strong either, it’s blended well with the gardenia and musk- so if you aren’t a “rose person” I think you would still enjoy this. I’ve seen people say that this is boring, but I actually really enjoy the more simple and linear quality that this possesses! I don’t always want something complex or interesting to wear. The longevity isn’t that bad on me, I can still faintly smell it several hours after spraying. I actually detect it more on my skin that I do my clothes, however this stays pretty intimate for almost the entire duration of wear. But every once in a while I will catch wafts of it as I move about throughout the day! One of my favorite things to spray on before laying down at night, this is a very comforting and soothing scent that helps me unwind and get comfortable before drifting off to sleep. “Dream Petals” is a pretty appropriate name for this fragrance!

I’ve had this perfume for awhile and find it to be very comforting. It’s a light scent, very floral and powdery. Personally, I find this scent to be hard to overspray, no matter how many sprays I use it lasts about the same with the same strength. I will also mention that can’t pick up on any individual notes, I just know it’s a very clean scent. I get a hint of the musk but i don’t pick up any mandarin or apple. Again it is very comforting, It reminds me of how my mom’s hair smelled fresh out of the shower. If you want something light and inoffensive, this is perfect for you. It wears like a natural clean scent but better. I feel like it also makes a good scent out of the shower or to wear to sleep. For the price it lasts an okay amount of time. I haven’t been wearing this one as much recently but I’m definitely going to be wearing it out of the shower now as i do enjoy how it smells

01. november 2012 Tested it, while was on a trip to London and i even didn ́t know it existed before. Thanks God it is not the same as the original, which i can ́t stand (very different by the way, it ́s just the name they have in common), but on the other hand it is a very ordinary scent as well. To me is smelled more as a gardenia with musk and light rosy undertone. So you see, the pyramide that my nose smelled is a different one from what a user Mooniq below detected. It is indeed a great one for an everyday use, very easy to use even for those ones who can ́t stand gardenia much. It has a soft sillage and the lasting power is poor, but for the price it is ok. You can ́t go wrong with this one, but i am not sure i would use it during the summer, more on a chilly autumn day, that ́s when it "sounds" better, i think.

As soon as I sprayed this, although I had never tried this scent before, it reminded me of something I had been wearing recently. It took me a while to figure out, but now I realize it has a lot of the same notes as Pure White Linen, which I love and wear pretty regularly. Both have top notes of green apple and mandarin orange; both have heart notes of rose and gardenia; both have cedar as a base note. Pure White Linen is a more complex scent with many more notes, and it does not have the musk base note, apparently, that Sunflowers Dream Petals has. I'm enjoying Sunflowers Dream Petals; it is much less expensive than PWL too ($10 at a discount store for 3.3 oz. EDT).

So different from the original Sunflowers--it is refreshing. Not aquatic or melon-y like the original--very grateful for that. It's more warm and musky--which makes it more inviting for me. Also, I love the gardenia note, it adds extra femininity. I wore this for the first time this past Sunday. I ran errands and took myself to an early dinner. It had to be reapplied throughout the day, but...I reapply most fragrances. It has moderate sillage. A decent value for the price.

This is nice! It's extremely similar to Bodycology's new Peony Blush scent. They're both light, feminine, fruity and youthful yet musky and rose-dominant scents that convinced me I don't actually hate rose. The longevity and projection on this one aren't really there though, it would be nice if it was stronger. I plan on layering it with my Peony Blush body cream to give it a bit more oomph.

For those who love musk, it's the right fragrance for you. Musk is soooo dominant here. I can smell rose a little bit. My husband love it.The lasting power is about 4 hours in my skin. I like it, but not my favorite from EA house.

Soft, somewhat creamy, relaxing skin scent. Overspray and spray on hair and clothes to project and last a little longer. Really inoffensive. I got compliments from co workers. Any season. Well blended.

Nice scent, very light though. Doesn’t last long so I’d say more of a body spray. But for $15... what do you expect? Lovely, light summer spritz :-)

I tested this one last year and wrote a review. I'll re-post the end of that review at the botttom of this review. Last year I accidentally grabbed Summer Bloom instead. I finally bought SF Dream Petals. For the most part the fragrance is as I remember but last year it was the apple note and a very crisp apple note that met me in the opening. Today, and it was a sweet mandarin opening but still fresh/creamy, not as sparkly as I remember. I don't know if it matters that I'd been hot and uncomfortable in a meeting at the bank first and I'd raced over to the store. I'll update this review if the sparkly opening I remember appears at a later date. Last year, 2016 I wrote: Petals is fresh and sparkly on me. Fruity in a fresh,sparkly, not sweet, warm way (which bloom sort of is on me) and I think this one is safe for most to wear and any place, any time. If I find Petals next year, I'll buy it. Something in the base is coming off as a vanilla note on me, which I like. I'm just surprised vanilla isn't in the notes. I wonder which note would come off as vanilla though? Anyway, reading through other comments I saw that some compared it to Coty's Ex.cla.ma.tion (sp?) which I only tested/borrowed back then, but never owned and the same goes for Ispahan so for the Ispahan comparison alone, I'm excited that I bought Dream Petals. It's a soft, warm, sweetness that I detect for the first 15 minutes now, but nothing that bothers me. The rest of the fragrance is how I remember it. Within 1⁄2 an hour I've reached the middle notes and that's a very cozy gardenia, soft rose scent to me. Safe and for DK Kr.125/Euros16/US$18 for 100ml, that's very cheap by Danish standards. So it's worth the money to me. I can wear the last 40-50 ml I have left of Summer Bloom when it's very warm, but I see myself wearing Dream Petals for a longer time of the year, from Spring and into early Fall.

What an interesting scent. I hardly recognize any similarity between what I experience and the listed notes, and it shifts and develops in interesting ways. On first blast I notice an aniseed-like quality. The gardenia appears subtle at first but then gains in strength and butteriness. Gardenia has a tendency to overwhelm on me but it doesn’t here. In the final stages I would swear it was mostly vanilla! From the nozzle it bears a striking resemblance to Coty’s Vanilla Musk, so it may be a similar musk or musk/cedar combination that I’m associating with vanilla. From my description one might expect I’d find this more heavy and gourmand than I do. I guess the orange, apple and rose are having a tempering effect despite being mostly undetectable. Not overly gourmand, nor overly floral or fresh. It’s a chameleon scent. I’m enjoying it this late spring/early summer. Adding: I’m wearing this in late fall/early winter, and it’s even more gourmand. It smells like a warm vanilla with a hint of gourmand gardenia (not buttery exactly but definitely not tropical/floral). Absolutely no citrus, no apple, and no rose. It’s simple and pleasant, cozy.

I tested this one today and I was going to buy it but due to a distracting phone call, I grabbed Bloom by accident, but I got to try this one on one wrist and Petals would probably be my 1st choice. It has a green note that had me worried at first because that doesn't seem to go with my skin chemistry; no one likes green notes on me, but that quickly faded which is a good or bad thing depending on how you feel about green notes but the same fragrance can also perform differently on different people. I know I keep repeating things like this on all my reviews. I just think I need to put up this disclaimer. Petals is fresh and sparkly on me. Fruity in a fresh,sparkly, not sweet, warm way (which bloom sort of is on me) and I think this one is safe for most to wear and any place, any time. If I find Petals next year, I'll buy it. This year, I'll just sample it whenever I see a tester bottle!:P

My review got cut off. Anyway, I'm excited to see that someone had associations to Coty's Ex.cla.ma.tion (sp?) and someone mentioned Rose Ispahan by Yves Rocher. I've tested/borrowed both from others but never owned either, so now I'm really excited to own and begin to wear Dream Petals. I've also owned Pure White Linen, I just don't want to shell out on it right now. So if Dream Petals smells like even a bit like any of those three fragrances on me, then I'll be very happy Update: I opened my new bottle this morning and after a 30 second blast of isopropyl alcohol which my EA Summer Bloom doesn't have, Dream Petals is as fresh in the top as I remember it being when I tested Dream Petals last year. The top is a soft freshness on me, not sparkly like Summer Bloom, but differences is a good thing.

This is the perfect office fragrance. It is light and floral with an atmospheric musk. I love it. If you wear perfume for yourself, then you will love this one. It won't garner compliments from people as you pass by, but you will smell awesome to anyone you let get snuggle close. Edit: The pairs so well with Johnson and Johnson's original baby oil and the lotion. So good!

Sunflowers Dream Petals is just too light; I should've trusted in other folks' reviews, and not blind bought. But, it is still very pretty, if you like a musky, apple-fresh rose. I haven't 100% decided what I'm going to do with this bottle. But it's really the perfect scent if you're around fragrance intolerant people or in a job that won't allow for strong scents.

I cant complain very much due to the very low price, but it really doesn't last long at all. Disappears within 10min on my skin/clothes. I dont really wear it anymore because there are much better, longer-lasting scents I can wear that are also affordable. I use it as a room spray now. hahahaha. The smell is light and fresh.

This is the first EA perfume I am disappointed in. For me, it's a nondescript sweet musky cloying scent, I can't smell the mandarine or apple at all. I get a whiff of rose when I'm concentrating, but the rest is weird. I absolutely LOVE and adore Sunlit Showers, Morning Gardens and Summer Air, as well as the original classic Sunflowers (they became my go-to-scents when my "Daisy" and "Beautiful Day" were empty), they just work with my skin chemistry so beautifully, light and fresh and airy, so I thought, I can't go wrong with Dream Petals. It was a blind-buy for about $20, based on my love for EA perfumes in general and the scent description (I am a huge fan of mandarines, apples and citrussy scents), but I really don't like it on me. It reminds me of a Betty Barclay perfume my mom gifted me (I only remember Betty Barclay, I don't know if it had another name or title), which was also much too sweet in a flowery kind of sense (I also love foody scents like raspberry cheesecake or london lemon curd and white mud cake or fresh whipped cream or suchlike, so sweet scents are fine, but not this kind). It's a bit like some kind of cherry blossom scents that can be unbearably sweet and others are just lovely. I really had to stop myself from washing it off to give it a chance to go through all of its notes, but uff. I guess musky scents are not for me ^^

Elizabeth Arden Sunflower dream is not very good for me the perfume .The musk is very overwhelming and very loudly . If we compare with perfume of Victoria Beckham intimatly yours. The musk into Victoria Beckham perfume sounds very tender and soft , realy lovely . The musk into Elizabeth Arden perfume sounds very overwhelming and very sweet .The perfume is very simple for me , it is everything about the musk only . If you like the musk you can to buy it , but I advise for you sample it on the shop first . Do not buy without testing . Like for me , I would never said , it is Elizabeth Arden perfume because it is too simple and nothing special at all . The best perfumes of Elizabeth Arden are Red door , 5th Avenue , Beauty , True love and Splendor . That perfume is not the best from Elizabeth Arden collection . In my mind it looks like house of Elizabeth Arden made that perfume " in hurry "

Today I tested this scent, I sprayed it on my wrists, behind my ears and in my cleavage and then I went on shopping. At first I loved the smell, it was a fresh rose scent and I love roses! But after an hour I couldn't smell it anymore. I had an appointment at my skintherapist and I asked her if she smelled anything, but she didn't smell anything either, so this weak longevity is really a huge dissapointment. I am so glad that I tested this scent, because buying it, would have been a waste of my money. I am already on my fourth bottle of the original Sunflowers. That scent has superb longevity and a huge sillage and smells totally different, so Dream Petals really reminds me in no way of the original.

This is a very fresh rosy & musky scent. Great for every-day-use. Stays like a whisper around you, not loud or sharp or edgy at all. I can't detect any applenote nor citrusnote here, but its a great scent with lots of musk with roses and a small splash of Gardenia. Superhärlig och väldigt fräsch ros & muskig doft. Perfekt som varje-dag-doft. Som en viskning runt dig, inte högljudd, inga skarpa eller tunga doftnoter alls. Jag kan inte urskilja någon äpplenot, inte heller någon citrusnot. En suverän doft med rejält av musk och rosor och en dutt Gardenia.

Very very light. The opening is some non descript sweet-ish freshness and the drydown is a musky floral. Especially on clothing the musk comes through a lot, but a type of 80's/90's kinda musky floral that I personally really do not like. I hate to say it but my nose picks it up as a 'pee' note, though I thankfully don't pick this up when I spray it on my skin rather on my clothes. However there is zero sillage to this fragrance so I only smell this when i put my nose directly on wherever I sprayed this. Not for me unfortunately.

This is probably the least exciting of the flankers...a nondescript floral with the juicy citrus bits cut out...

Non ero molto affezionato a questo profumo. Ho sempre pensato che fosse troppo muschiato e dolce. Mia madre mi ha regalato l'intera collezione di Sunflowers di Elizabeth Arden. Ho amato gli altri due, l'originale e Summer Bloom, molto più di questo. In primavera, spruzzerei così tanto Dream Petals per sbarazzarmene velocemente (che logica!). La mia stanza ne odorava. Il tempo in cui ero in una relazione, piuttosto tossica, questo era il profumo che indossavo ogni volta che parlavo con lui. Questo profumo è più del muschio e della dolcezzo, è l'ansia e l'euforia che ho provato quando mi ha detto che lui amava me e quando ero arrabbiato con me. L'ho spruzzato un paio di volte e tutti i ricordi mi hanno colpito, non ci piove. Ho imparato ad apprezzarlo di più, anche se non è il mio preferito, penso che sia perfetto da indossare in estate. È un profumo dolce perfetto per chi ama la vaniglia, le rose e il muschio.

This is surprisingly almost identical to Christian Lacroix Bazaar, which I admire, but had been discontinued.. So it's a very pleasant surprise for me. Other than that there're more musk than orange here, which isn't a bad thing in my book..In a way it reminds me of True Love too, because of the rose. It's actually a great budget perf, lasting power is a bit better than your average EA, I'm quite happy with my bottle of this. Will I repurchase? Not likely, but I will reach for it when I feel like Bazaar. Worth a try. EDIT: Okay, so appatently it's a sort of Hugo Boss Orange dupe..I'm not crazy about HBO, but I think this is less citrusy, maybe not as potent. I like all 3 - Orange, Bazaar, and this - out of all 3 still Bazaar is the one I'd pick. But all 3 are somehow reminiscent of each other.

This perfume would be a favorite if it performed better. I do not get all the musk others mention, for me it is just a very aptly named Powdery floral. I just Love the scent but it is a very weak fragrance with little or no Sileage and have to respray every 10 minutes. Not even as good as some body sprays. I will buy it again because I can find 3.4 oz for under $20 and I really enjoy the fragrance much more than original Sunflowers and other flankers but wish I could find this fragrance in something that performed better. Even on clothes this does not Last. Lovely powdery floral though. Dream Petals says it all.

I love the rosy apple opening and crisp clean musk dry down, it's refreshing and comforting and I really like to wear it. But my bottle at least is sooo weak. I can barely smell it without my nose right against my skin within half an hour. I got my bottle at the beginning of december and now about 2.5 months later it's not at all stronger/'matured' and I'm already half way through it from trying to overspray it into longevity. It was like 10 or 11 dollars from the discounters so I could easily rebuy but to be honest I'm hoping to find something similar that's not so incredibly fleeting :s

The perfect gym fragrance. I used to wear the original Sunflowers until it started to give me intense headaches. This is completely different and shares no similarity to the original. It doesn't smell like much, it's heavily blended, and none of the notes stand out too far. I can smell a bit of apple, some musk, gardenia, and rose, but nothing too distinctly. You almost can't overspray this one it's so light. 5-6 sprays though leaves me smelling fresh and clean like shower gel without being huffy like a heavy fragrance. More than worth the 11 dollars I paid for it!

I guess I forgot to leave a review on this when I bought it last year. I bought this at Winners for $12.99 for a 100 mls bottle. It’s nice and all but that’s about al you can say about it. Which I hate to say because I love Elizabeth Arden-from skincare to makeup to perfume all across the board I love Arden so having a mediocre perfume is sucky lol i mean, if you are looking for something light floral and just kind of Easy for daily work type wear this will due

I was so disapponted with this one! I love the original Sunflowers and expected something more from Dream petals, since Sunflowers is so unique- but it was completely plain with no originality whatsoever...It's very light, with no character, and even so-it's not "nice" or pretty enough for keeps...Reminds me of Pure from DKNY- but as a sort of much lighter,not- fully- there-version.

I thought it was going to be floral but it wasn't. It's too generic like so many perfumes nowadays- either too loud and sweet or too deep and creamy. It was one of those creamy types.

I think this is nice a powdery rose. Pretty. Elizabeth Arden fragrances are generally well liked by me. Most people I ever gifted anything from E.A. to liked her fragrances as well.

I just got this at Marshalls and it smells soft and comfy close to the skin type floral. I had to get it upon first spritz.

A rosy musky floral with no apple scent to it, at least on me. A nice perfume, reminds me of the 90's floral perfumes.

If you love the discontinued Yves Rocher Rose Ispahan, this is a lighter version.

i want to try this.hope it is different from the original one-with floral notes.

Narciso By Narciso Rodriguez only with fruity notes of apple and citrus.

Smelled like a cheap perfume for what it is.
