Sunflowers Summer Bloom

I bought this yesterday. It completes my collection of the 'Sunflowers' range. it is nothing like 'Sunflowers' but it is delightful none the less. I have only tried this in the store and will probably not open the package until closer to summer. It's winter here in Melbourne, so the richer more spicier scents are being enjoyed by me. I look forward to reviewing this this comming summer, but from what I tried yesterday, and its not really fair to say that I can say anything. However I love it. I can see why when I look at the notes. It's just plain lovely. Reminds me of my very expensive Bvlgari II, mind you I was able to at the time purchase my two bottles respectively of the 50 mill and the 30 mill Bvlgari II EDP's for under 20. aussie dollars. Right place right time sort of thing. So if you are looking for something along those lines then this is the right fragrance for you. Cheers T.

I'm not entirely certain why I left this fragrance for so long. I've recently been on a mission to explore my collection a bit more, and give some attention to my lesser worn fragrances. I don't always know what to make of this one. It's fun, whispy and delightful, especially in Summer. The Pear, Water-lily and Ivy perform a wonderful dance when first sprayed, but Pear takes the lead on my skin. After 20-30 minutes, the fragrance begins to reveal its true nature: Vanilla and Musk, which settles close to the skin for the remainder of the day. Will this require re-application? Yes, and often. Do I care? Only about the fact that I've been silly enough to leave this bottle at the back of my closet for so long. :)

This is a very nice blind buy. Upon first spritz this immediately smelled like one of those nice light sweet floral. It smells feminine, girly and dainty. I could imagine a pretty girl in a cute summer dress wear this. I'm just glad that to my nose there's no screechy note. Everything is blended nicely and smoothly. I have Daisy eau so Fresh and while I can see the similarity, Daisy is more tart while this seems more subdued. Now I am tempted to buy the other flankers of these. Love it!🥰

This is a hundred times better than the first sunflowers fragrance which has a very unpleasant smell to it that I dislike,but the summer bloom version is a pretty sweet fruity floral which is great for anyone who likes light and sweet fragrances also it only cost me around twenty Australian dollars so your getting a great perfume for a great price,overall a vast improvement from the original sunflowers and recommend this if you didn't like the original because these are worlds apart.

The performance on this fragrance is horrible. You have to treat it like a body spray, which is fine because it's priced like a body mist anyway. I do love how sweet and summery it is and I would repurchase despite the fact that it doesn't last. Summer Bloom reminds me of a cool, dewy morning before the sun starts to come out. It is refreshing and light, perfect for hot days or the gym.

Is there coconut in this? I get a strong coconut lotion vibe from this and I'm LOVING it. Anyway, this holds a lot in common with the original in a loosely defined way. The pear seems to be the major backdrop here, with soft white florals surrounding it. There's an artificial sweetness to it, but I don't mind it too much. Quite beautiful, actually.

This perfume is very nostalgic for me, I used to wear this when I was a teenager (my mom gifted this to me)! Perfect light mixture of fresh, floral and sweet 💖 This used to be my signature scent. Longevity nor the sillage aren't that great, but nevertheless I like this. Maybe mostly for nostalgia but I don't really mind 😊

Like light flowers. I was lucky to find it. It reminds me of a young girl's perfume in decorative bottles in the old days...only difference is that this one lasts longer!

This was sadly very underwhelming for me. I wasn't expecting much either. it's not unpleasant but it is so, so faint. I can barely smell it on myself, sometimes i'll just put it on my wrist and bring it close to my nose periodically when i want to smell it, cause it doesn't matter if i shower my body in it i can't really tell that i have it on throughout the day. It is watery, it is breezy. I get a little chlorine. Hortensia is right since hortensias don't have any scent at all, what you might be smelling is the green stems if you sniff them out, and it is somewhat similar to that greenness. I get powder too. coincidentally sunflowers do not have a scent either, and this is the Sunflowers line after all. There's some florals, nondescript, they could be violets i guess but they're not really what you would first picture when you think violet scent. it's cute enough. If I could actually smell it having it on my neck and chest it would score much higher. It's not unpleasant at all, it's just too light and wishy washy. Should last about an hour and a half or two hours on most people... You can often get it for around $10-$13 USD from many retailers despite being an older limited edition. I would still pass on it unless i had too much money to matter.

Smells very lovely and florally- in my opinion the violet is beautiful, even though it's a bit hidden. This would be my signature if the nozzle worked, but sadly it takes effort to make it spray, and I'm barely even 5ml through it. This tends to be the case with Elizabeth Arden, as the perfumes are more on the cheaper side, but it's upsetting, as it's honestly a very pretty scent and I hate not being able to use it like I want to. Also, this flanker of 'Sunflowers' isn't that much like the original (as it doesn't have sunflower, duh!) and it does reminds me more of the 'Daisy' flankers by Marc Jacobs. The main notes in my opinion are the pear, the violet and the water lily. I don't smell any vanilla at all, also not long-lasting but the sillage is alright. It smells like spring, and would make a nice gift/ first perfume for a teenage girl, since it isn't very strong :)

I picked this up over the weekend, TJ Maxx 3.3oz for $9.99. Its like biting into a warm, soft, ripe pear on the initial spray. After the pear dissipates its a soft, sweet, slightly green floral. I would spray it on your clothing if you wanted it to really last, as the silage and staying power are soft. I like violet and water lily note, and love hydrangeas and like the idea of this having hydrangea in it although they are not necessarily a heavy scent flower. Another good casual floral to keep you smelling girly as you go about your everyday business in the spring or summer. Defiantly non offensive for close quarters. Makes me think of a nice sunny New England Backyard garden with a koi pond, ivy, hydrangeas, water lilies and a pear tree :)

Just like Dort0625, I gave it another try after being thoroughly disappointed with it at the beginnig. Supposedly summer fragrance, it was too sweet, bland and soapy, not a quality I like in my summer perfumes. It stayed on my shelf for over a year, used only a couple of times during the hot season, with ill effect. Until now :) Turns out- it's a perfect early spring perfume! Somehow the nauseating sweetness turnes into delicate freshness, with flowery scents, very lovely and refreshing (although wishy-washy and syrupy when it's hot outside XD) The only thing that stayed the sime is the longevity; I have to apply generous amounts to smell it on me, and reapply it every couple of hours.

I smelled this yesterday and it’s lovely and airy. I’m not mad about pear in fragrance or in real life, and I am pleased to say that within minutes, the fruits were barely discernible. This has a “fluffiness” and airiness from the violets and ozonic notes that bordered on green, with enough gentle florals and super subtle sweetness from the fruit that it wasn’t sharp or prickly. Great layering fragrance. Safe office fragrance. Great for white linen or white t-shirt days on the weekend. Longevity isn’t amazing but it doesn’t matter. This is a happy re-spritz.

Now I know that for many people the Elizabeth Arden name conjures up old ladies that sit at the front of buses in groups eating mints, but I like their products. This is very different to the original, which you love or hate, this is a lot more easy going, softer, but very good. A nice and light floral, with something unusual going on, almost fruity? Maybe it's that Ivy note, I can't pin it down. For the price, this is perfect for everyday Summer use, stock up.

I think it's great as an everyday perfume. It does smell summery and fresh, but in my opinion you can't really smell the pear or vanilla notes, the flower notes are stronger. If you spray it directly on your skin, when it wears off you can smell a bit of musk too. I personally don't have a problem with the spray nozzle either, (since the bottle literally says it's a vaporizer..) but if you don't press down all the way you can get small sprays. :-)

I like it, it's easy to wear,easy for sensitivities. Reminds me a lot of my little rollerball of Penthouse Blooming Passion, but a touch more sophisticated. Lasts about an hour, I'm not aware of any great sillage. I like the bottle when it has the cap on, absolutely hate the way it looks when I take it off. Going to transfer it to a travel bottle. If it truly is a good dupe for Daisy,(never tried Daisy) then that's another reason to keep it.

When first sprayed it smells exactly like the original Sunflowers but after a few minutes differentiates itself. To me this is mainly a light pear and jasmine with slight green and woodiness. It's gorgeous but not very strong. This honestly could've been marketed as a 5th Avenue flanker because after the opening it smells more similar to 5th Avenue than Sunflowers.

Today I bought my first real summer perfume and I like it. Very fresh but with a lot of feminine flower notes, I'm glad that there's no real green and also no citrus in it. But there is one in the same line that has those notes for whomever is looking for that kind of fragrance. I can recommend these summer fragrances on a hot summer like this.

Im wearing this one now. I love summery light yellow scents though I don't own many. I did like the original but I felt it was a "perume-y" this one is a lot more natural. I love real sunflowers and they do have a subtle scent. I also love freesia which is not listed but something reminds me of it? Maybe the water lily.

Light and breezy! Airy pear and lily. It is a great perfume for summertime because of how light it is. An EDT in every sense of the word (if not Eau Fraiche). It was a cheapie, so I will spray on to refresh etc. I do not believe this shares any DNA with the OG Sunflowers.

My husband recently purchased this one for me, I’ve worn it once. I will have to revisit it again, but from what I remember—I think it is more tolerable than the original Sunflowers. The melon and aquatic notes are completely toned down in this flanker, thank God!

This one is fine, it's inoffensive. I like the sleek bottle and it smells fine, but it doesn't last on me at ALL. Horrible in performance, and I spray on my clothes! Straight out of the bottle it honestly smells like a nicely scented hand sanitizer.

I get a lot of vanilla in this one that really elevates the overall "Sunflowers" structure...thinking this one may be my favorite of all the flankers...there's a bit of green in here too from the ivy...overall an affordable winner...

This is much nicer than the original. A lovely light floral. However, not many places are stocking it and I'm finding only one or two places that sell it even online. If this were more widely available it could be a big seller.

Smells like the freshest sun showers, watery florals with the softest hint of fruity sweetness. Perfect for summer. Needs to be reapplied to last all day.

Very, very weak, not good even for a cheap price. Nicer than the original but that doesn't mean much because this won't last 30 minutes.

I love the violet scent in this - if the perfume nozzle worked, I would wear this all the time, but alas...

I'll be honest and admit that this purchase was a mix-up, but not the worst of its kind. I'd intended to buy Petals but my phone rang, I got distracted and grabbed the wrong one. 100ml edt for 120 DKkroner/Euro 16,12. Not a bad price! Bloom is a "warm" fruity-floral scent on me, though it's described as floral-green here. If there had been a noticeable green note in it, I'd have had to pass up based on my skin chemistry. Bloom isn't as sparkly as Petals which I might've preferred but at this time of the year, most people seem to prefer fruity-floral fragrances on me with a faint sweet base. Bloom has a base combination that always works with my skin chemistry and the projection is so faint that it's always safe. I realize I won't be making statements with this one and when people are struggling to get through a hot day, like today with 28C and high humidity or 82F, I hardly think people have the energy to notice anyone else. I've only worn it for 3 hours now but it's held up through two hand washes. So, so far so good. I won't complain if it doesn't last much longer at this price. I might update this review. If you can wear the original then I think you should because it's more unique imo. If you like sparkly and less sweet, then I'd recommend Petals. Try first though; the fragrances might bring out entirely different notes on your skin.:)

Ahh, i'm so disappointed with this one. I blind-bought it after reading the reviews, it was very cheap so it wasn't a big loss. It smells like a shampoo but a little bit harsh at the first spray, something synthetic (I can't detect the note) scratches my nose whenever I smell it. Luckily, this scratchiness dissapears quickly but also the perfume dissapears easily. You have to apply this almost every hour to get the desired effect. If you use this in a regular basis, you will empty the full bottle in 3 months. Because all of that, I use this perfume as a body spray at home whenever I need a refreshment.

I'll write a new review because I'm having a strange but good experience. I bought Summer In Bloom last Summer and it was just alright, I didn't think the longevity was great but acceptable for a day Summer fragrance. I don't live in a hot climate. I re-applied at least twice during the day last year, so I used up 1/2 a bottle of the 100ml in just under 4 months. Today was very cool (not exactly cold) for an April day. I've been wearing SIB for over 12 hours now and if I snif my wrist, it's still there. Not Sparkly, but softer and more refined. That was a surprise. I didn't notice that last year.

Smells like an anemic version of Estee Lauder Pleasures - I think. Inexpensive and accessible (easily found) but gone after an hour. There are some florals there but damned if I can identify cuz *poof* there they go and there goes another $15 bucks. I still have the box and likely a welcome donation to a women's charity shop.

Pleasant enough but unremarkable.... i can hardly smell it after just a few minutes. Even after spraying half the bottle on i doubt one can smell much of it. There must not be much actual perfume oil in this ? Not worth the money sadly.

This is cheap dupe of Chanel Chance eau Tendre. Of course that parameters are worse but composition itself it’s giving it to me

This smells nothing like the original Sunflowers at all. There's no sunny note here. The opening is sickly, piercing fig leaf that hurts my nose. The dry down takes forever, during which time some florals come through. The skin scent at the end is strangely a vanilla smell which is not present in the first 2 phases. To me this smells very poorly blended and is a disjointed combobulation of disparate scents. This perfume was all around disappointing for me. I tried multiple times to get past the horrid opening with no luck. I'm getting rid of this one ASAP. NOT a safe blind buy and not inoffensive by any means.

Okay I owe this perfume an apology and second review!!! Summer Bloom it was wrong of me to review you after such a short experience with you, and to out you on the back of my perfume shelf to never look at you again lol that is until the other day. So all of my favs and go to scents were empty one day last week so I had to decide on a new one to wear for the day and I chose this, no particular reason...So I sprayed it on, and as I did last time I thought it was nicebut this time I gave it a real chance. I wore it all day like i normally would, reapplying multiple times throughout the day. I went to Walmart and one of the gals working as me what I was wearing and then within the next hour I was out I had four other ppl ask me! So when I went home I gave myself another few sprays before bed and fell asleep smelling it and wow I love this stuff like serious love. It nothing unbelievably ground breaking but it's so beautiful and pretty! I'm so far from a "girly girl" , like covered in tattoos rock some crazy hair and listen toloud metal music but I still love this!!!

I like this perfume but I don’t love it. Will I probably finish this bottle at some point? Yes. Will I buy it again? No. Can’t say the same about the other perfume I got to try from Elizabeth Arden (Green Tea) which became a staple for me and I will surely be buying it until I get infatuated with another scent that feels like home to be. Now back to Summer Bloom, I was struggling a lot to remember what this scent reminds me... And now I know the answer. This smells like a kids/teen hair spray product. You know the ones that untangle long hair and smell kind of sunny, sweet, floral and fruity. There’s a note here that puts me off though, I’m guessing ivy/cedar? This also doesn’t feel very well blended to me in general. But it surely makes me emotional as it brings feelings and memories of my childhood. Smells exactly like my best friends hair when we were kids and life seemed a lot easier and fun. For me, this is a soapy/fruity, morning, summer scent, definitely not for serious occasions and only for kids, teenagers & maximum early 20’s.

I did me some perfume shopping tonight :) woot woot!!!! I went to winners and on an unrelated to this post kind of note, last !Onth I bought two three piece gift sets at winners for 59.99 and today they were on clearance for 25 dollars!!!! Arrrrrrrrrrg!!!! Lol anywho...Back to my review....I had wanted to try this for a while now and so glad I found it. There obviously wasn't a tester so it was a blind buy, but I'm pleased with it. It was 16.99 for the 100ml bottle. I will say one thing that.... Surprised me.....I can smell the vanilla a lot. Like, a lot a lot a lot! I was expecting with a name like summer bloom that it would be a very floral, or citrus, fresh type scent ya know what I mean? It actually smells very similar to FCUK Late Nights, which isn't a terrible thing but it's not my idea of a spring or summer scent so while I do like it, I'm slightly disappointed with this. Only because I was so hoping the would be a beautiful spring type scent. But again, for $16.99 CAD I can't bitch n whine too much lol

I'm a big fan of the original Sunflowers and Sunflowers Dream Petals so I decided to pick this up blind. This one is much more aquatic and softer - it's a sweet floral aquatic. Wears very close to the skin. I don't get anything I'd recognize as musk and I don't get much in the way of powder either. It's prominent floral and it has a bit of the same rose used in Dream Petals once it starts to dry down it does really remind me a bit of Dream Petals but not as sweet or musky. I'm not sure at the moment how often I'll want to wear this. Part of the appeal with Sunflowers and Sunflowers Dream Petals is that they are strong and relatively long lasting (for what are essentially priced as body sprays.) Unfortunately, this one seems weak in comparison - reminds me a bit of Dolce and Gabbana L'Imperatrice in the beginning but much less fruity - or watered down in comparison I guess.

Somehow this fragrance reminds me of Easter Sundays when I was a girl (1970s). They were still an event. We woke up to baskets of chocolate eggs, ate breakfast at home, and then went to church. Most of us girls, and some of the women, had new dresses, often with floral prints or motifs. After church, we would go to the town Easter egg hunt at a local park. The grass was green and freshly mowed, and sometimes there were dandelions around. Combine all these elements--the grass, the flowers, the sweetness of anticipated candy--and that's the effect I get from Sunflowers Summer Bloom. Maybe not exciting or seductive, but still fresh as a morning, dew-dabbled garden. And on me, it lasts about as long as any of my other perfumes. A fragrance that makes me smell like a blossoming bouquet? Yes, please!

When you buy something for 15 USD 100 ml, your expectation should't be the same as when you are buying Chanel. However, I found it fresh and fruity and using it as a kind of body mist after shower, and for 5 min grocery shopping around the corner. Somehow, I can not leave the house (even for 5 min) without putting some scent on, and I will hardly put my Chanel or Dior just for taking over fedex package. I always have some kind of perfume like this, and EA Sunflower Summer Bloom do its job perfectly. The only reason I treated it "badly" is its longevity, scent itself is quite charming if you like those fresh-aquatic-floral scent. It is not classy, but nighter cheep. It is simply nice summer scent.

This is a Chloe flanker. There's so many of them. Too bad I didn't recognize. They tweaked some top and heart notes but I recognized it just the same. Theres no rose listed but I smell it. If you like Chloe but want it softer or lighter, there's various rebranded flankers like this. Not sure who did the original. Maybe Chloe was a very successful flanker. Chloe just not my cup of tea but it's very popular. The other notes I recognize too. Maybe it'll come to me what other perfume is mixed with Chloe.

Well I hate to say it, maybe this is better than the original to most people but I found it to be the most boring thing I have ever smelled. If you thought Pretty was boring this one out does that on the boring factor. Yes it is a pleasant smell but honestly I couldn't tell you what it reminds me of because it was just so generic. At least the original Sunflowers had no shame and was very unique love it or hate it! This one on the other hand, hmmmm NOPE.

Very fresh and very fruity perfume, you can smell the pear a lot, a sugary and sweet pear immediately after the hint of delicate and fresh flowers, I would easily compare it to one of the Victoria Secret perfumes, it's very girly, if you love fruity perfumes it I highly recommend it, good longevity for a bargain price like the one I paid, I would say it's an excellent investment

This fragrance is no where near as sweet/cloying/sickening like the original. Instead this is a rather floral/green/fresh smelling with a hint of fruit. You can really smell the ivy in this which actually smells quite good. This also reminds me a tiny bit of the original Gucci Flora. This is a perfectly safe scent for daily wear.

Mmmm, nope. Migraine-inducing. It wasn't strong or heavy so I have no idea why this triggered, but it did. This smelled... green. Like leaves in the springtime covered in dew, and flowers in the distance. It was fresh and light and clean - I wanted to love it, because it was very refreshing. *sigh*

I have an inexpensive designer inspired fragrance meant to resemble the likeness of Marc Jacob's Daisy and this smells similar except sweeter. The green fresh factor is about the same. A nice feminine inoffensive fragrance. It's not a loud beast mode fragrance. Light, airy, feminine, fresh floral.

Fresh fresh fresh! This is quite sharp to my nose. Would be great for summer BUT possibly headache inducing. In my opinion this smells just like Daisy by marc jacobs, instantly when I sprayed this I recognized the scent! So, if you love daisy you might like this one and its more afforadable :)

I knew this reminded me of something I used in the past. It was a bit difficult to point out the first and 2nd time. The 3rd time around and WHAM-I got it! Exclamation by Coty! 😀 I used that when I was about 9 years old. I'm not going back to that. It definitely brought back that nostalgia.

I wanted to love this! The smell is beautiful and right up my alley. However, the lasting power was appalling. I was trying to wear it as my signature scent, but the scent is fully gone after 45 minutes. I've had this issue a lot with Elizabeth Arden perfumes, which is a bummer.

Beautiful water lily with hortensia, these two are very noticeable. It's bit sweet, but freshly sweet, aquatic, maybe bit cold. My staple in very hot weather because stronger perfumes suffocate me in heat.
