Sunflowers Sunlight Kiss

Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers Sunlight Kiss is so fresh and pretty! It's interesting that I love it so much because I am NOT a fan of the original Sunflowers. I always found that one to be soapy-sour and musty-dusty, with little sillage and no longevity; in short, nothing to recommend it. But Sunlight Kiss has a more feminine floral softness and smoothness rather than being scratchy-sour like the OG, and it's sweet but not-too-sweet, due to the prominent citrus notes. It's a perfect fragrance for a hot, sunny day, being refreshing and green. It absolutely is in the same vein, to my nose, as Chanel Cristalle, Juicy Couture Peace, Love, & Juicy, and even My Burberry; it's strange to me that none of these show up in the "reminds me of..." section. Sunflowers Sunlight Kiss reads sunny citrus, fresh and GREEN to me. Its sillage is small to the smaller side of moderate, and its longevity is in the low-moderate range, around 3 hours. It's also a mega-bargain: I've seen it for as little as $10 at Ross for a big 3.3 oz. bottle! After having pooh-poohed the OG for so many years, I'm really happy I decided to give Sunlight Kiss a chance. And, while clearly not identical to or made from as fine materials, it is an excellent, less costly alternative to more expensive beauties like Cristalle or My Burberry, if you enjoy sunny, green, floral citrus scents. :)

Mid-notes: Floral: Osmanthus (peachy-apricot scent), Cyclamen (sweeter and lighter Lily-of-the-Valley), rose, jasmine Base notes: Ozonic accord, driftwood and solar musk Sunflowers Sunlight Kiss follows its journey of notes just as how it's described: at first whiff, you're bathed in citrus followed by strong florals. As it settles, the base notes come out and intermingle with the florals. If you're looking for something that is office and/or crowd friendly, this is definitely it - you'll smell like you've just used a shower gel. Definitely daytime use - when the sun is high in the sky most of the day, and you're reaching for slushy iced beverages, swimming, picnics, and relaxing showers after an active day celebrating everything about late spring and summer. If you like J'Adore and Versace Bright Crystal, this pick is perfect for you. Doesn't last long though. You'll have to re-apply after about 5 hours.

Must be the Chinese loquat that makes this smell like there's some zesty ginger in here. It seems sour at first but in a little bit you get the zesty floral sweet smell and it has that sunkissed smell in the background. It is highly addictive! Wear it in the summer heat and you'll see what I mean 💖🌞. I just can't get enough! Mmmm soooo sooo soooo good n yummy 😋 Honestly, I've only smelled the og sunflowers briefly but this fragrance reminds me of the OG sunflowers mixed with True Love. I think if you like True Love, you will love this sunkissed version of true love 💕

This was a hidden gem ...I was going to buy the old school Sunflowers just to have it in my collection.....and decided to get the flanker instead. This a very pretty warm citrusy fragrance.... I feel like I'm at the beach eating and orange. There no salt or sea smell to me ..but the driftwood note brings me there and the lovey solar notes and sweet citrus florals makes this perfect. It's an awesome cheapie.

This pretty much smells exactly the same as the original Sunflowers scent.

(disclaimer: this review is written by someone who doesn't have a slight idea of how OG Sunflowers smells like.) Once upon a payday, I discovered the last bottle of Sunflowers Sunlight Kiss in a corner shop's discounter rack. Being the last stock available, I snatched it without really testing the scent first. I considered it as a semi-blind buy. This is sunny bright citrus on a hot summer day. Mandarin is prominent, then ozonic notes is preserving the crisp freshness of the sour fruits medley. The florals resemble the early 90s clean scent archetype with no distinct floral notes as a centerpoint. Osmanthus however gives it a slight tint of nectarlike sweetness, but not standing out as much. Doesn't develop much considering it's EDT concentration, acts like a little something something to freshen up. It is indeed a very watery citrus floral scent, a good match for warmer weather. Safe and inoffensive as it's moderately projecting, just don't spray too much as it clings to fabric. This is a safe yes for a cheapie.

A blind buy for me after reading the notes here Happily a good one This is a lovely light , fresh citrus floral scent Perfect for the hot days we get here in Australia This stays on my skin for quite a few hours and thankfully not to over powering on those scorching days where you just don't want your fragrance hitting you in the face and choking you I wasn't a fan of the original , but this one I love Im a fan of Green Tea to , both the original and the Tropical Green Tea . And this smells to me very similar to Tropical I don't know why , because they don't seem to share the same notes? . But I like this one better It lasts a lot longer than Tropical for me A perfect summer scent if you after something pretty, fresh and light

Part of my "discounted, let's try it" haul. And I really like this! It takes me back to early 2000's :) It is summery with aquatic element that is subtle enough to keep it airy. It feels exactly like coming out of refreshing lukewarm shower on a hot summer day. This is my third Elizabeth Arden and I have to say, as much as I love how Green Tea smells, this one feels even more versatile, thanks to that "shower gel" vibe. The longetivity is surprisingly good, it lasts hours on me, although my skin usually "eats" perfumes pretty fast.

It's a more delicate and sophisticated flanker of Sunflowers, it's richer and more floral/fruity, not as typically 90's-melon-aquatic kind of thing as the original and not so much in-your-face scent. The silage and longevity are poor but it can be a nice beginning of your journey into the world of Sunflowers series. I haven't had the chance to test it on a very hot day but I imagine it might bring out its best in the heat. Since I have and like the original Sunflowers, I gave this one to my mom who likes softer scents.

I have and love the original sunflowers and to me this is the only one of the flankers that resembles the original, with an added drop of rose. A brighter, fresher version, that isn't as strong. so if you have tried the original but it was too much, try this one. last around 6 hrs on me. I like this one and find it best to wear during the day spring to early fall. I get the most compliments after I have been laying out in the sun with banana boat dark tanning oil on and spray this on top, just to run in the store.

This actually smells good. Im glad that it doesn't really smell like BBW Golden Sunflower because that kinda gives me headache. This one smells more tart. The citrus gives it some zing and freshness. The first thing that came into my mind is that it smells like you just got out of the shower. Smells kinda clean and shampooey which is something I like. This also reminds me of the scents made in the yr 2,000's. Overall I do like it. Its a good everyday kind of scent you can use to lounge around or do errands.

I was disappointed when I first tried it, cause I found it as sweet and suffocating as the OG. Don't misunderstand, like the OG, but not in hot weather.. Same goes for this one. During winter it corresponds with the color palette of main accords as shown here. Yes, now I can detect most of the notes and it is truly on the fresh and ozonic side as it settles down. Received this today after blind buying. I find it really similar to the original sunflowers which i loved and wore in the mid to late 90s, I wouldn't wear the original today as it reminds me of being a teenager. This smells like the original with heavy orange to me,definitely a spring/summer scent, I do like it and will use up my 100ml bottle as soon as spring starts.

Perfect for hot summer days .It is a delightful fresh scent aquatic fruity floral The solar notes make it surprisingly warm but it retains a clean fresh vibe .It is value for money anyone looking for an edge on a summer aquatic I recommend testing .I found it lasted well all day and projected reasonably well but not so far as to be overwhelming in hot weather

This is extremely similar to the original Sunflowers. It's like they removed the quintessential 90s vibe of the original. Its lovely of course but not necessary if you own the original, but is worth trying cause who know maybe you'll prefer this one! Its slightly more generic aquatic smelling than the original and a hint more synthetic.

This, to me, is a modernized version of the og sunflowers. It is pleasant and has that original DNA, but lacks the uniqueness of it's original counterpart. It doesn't have the oomph either. I prefer this on a warmer day in the sun, as it doesn't cloy, and I usually wear original sunflowers in there fall.

My favorite flanker of the line. Sunflowers but softened by something apricot-like and fleshy, less ostentatious then the original. Much preferred because in my college days when the original was popular, you could smell that coming a mile away.

Like the original Sunflowers but with a bit more citrus (I get lemon more than orange here)...this must be what is giving it the mysterious "solar notes"...very light and fresh summer fragrance...very good for a cheapie...

Very light and airy. Rather far cry from the OG, but really lovely. Much less fruity, more ozonic and flowery. Overall, very pleasing for the fans of the series.

Similar to the original Sunflowers, but more luminous, fascinating and sophisticated. Makes me feel happy, carefree and young. For me this version is the best.
