Untold Luxe

Soft, airy, and diffuse, not saturated or loud. Sugary but not syrupy, nor is it sharp as some sugary scents can be. It opens very close to Britney Spears Fantasy, both in smell and in weight, but with pink pepper instead of kiwi and litchi. Predominantly a sugary-white-chocolate-vanilla-cupcake-fantasy scent, the sweetness of Untold Luxe is initially offset by shy top notes of pink pepper which disappear by the heart phase. There, the white chocolate intensifies and rose acts as a supporting note. I did not detect cinnamon specifically, but it must be influencing the composition, keeping things warm. I also did not smell orange blossom or jasmine, or any other white flowers, and I am sensitive to those! The longevity is impressive for this genre of scent...I'm four hours in and it shows no signs of stopping. The base grows warmer where it becomes vanilla, benzoin, and a little labdanum. Very cozy. I love it!! Almost a skin scent, sillage stayed within my personal space, despite heavy application, but I can still smell it wafting up, and it leaves a soft trail. This would be a good office scent if you work with people who like to smell occasional whiffs of vanilla in their surroundings. Had Britney Spears released this as "Fantasy Luxe Edition" or another Fantasy flanker, no-one would have batted an eye because it fits right in, but some fans might have been disappointed that it wasn't different enough. I think this is like a fraternal-twin-sister or female-cousin-of-the-same-age to Fantasy.

This is a perfumy gourmand, perfect for autumn and winter. It’s sweet and cosy but you won’t smell like food! I have Lux and Absolu and Lux seems to be much harder to find so I’ll say this; despite having quite different notes I find them almost indistinguishable from each other. Absolu maybe retains a tiny bit of fruit in the drydown but it’s mainly a peppery vanilla and tonka with some spicy warmth. Lux is a peppery vanilla and white chocolate with some spicy warmth. They feel equally creamy and the sweet is on the same level in both, so if you can’t find Lux then Absolu is the perfect alternative! They both have a vibe of the original Untold but that one really is a pear perfume. It’s kind of a shame that they made two sweeter versions that were almost identical rather than making a plummy vanilla and then a pear and white chocolate..... I can really imagine that original juicy pear mixed in this this Lux version and it would have been fabulous!

The Short: Instant Love. Warm creamy vanilla and cozy. The Long: I Love this scent. Who designed this? It is such a beautiful surprise. It opens bright with light orange blossom and there is a little spice (cinnamon?) to it too. Then it morphs into rose, amber and dry woods. Then it turns creamy rose, ambery, vanilla. It maintains the light florals. What an experience. Sigh...in love with this one. This one is a gem! Like most Elizabeth Arden fragrances, it is so EASY to wear. Wears and projects well (all day for me and wafts as I go along). The bottle is also some thing special. I love looking at it. Curvy and multifaceted. Fits great in the hand and the spritz is lush too. Worth a sniff. For me it is worth a back up.

I finally got my hands on this beauty! I got the last 1.7fl oz bottle my local Macy's had for $86.92!!!!! I will be honest I haven't mustard up the guts to spray it yet! I did open the box and take the cap off and took a deep breath in with my sniffer and wow! I get the pink pepper hints of Amber and vanilla so warm and inviting and I can identify very clearly the white chocolate note! This is sweet enough just from smelling the cap (mind you I have not sprayed it yet!) that it makes me nervous that for the first time in my life I've met my match! I'm too chicken to try it now lol!

So I finally did it! It's so warm and inviting! At first spray it's like a hot bath running with hints of pink pepper, cinnamon, sandalwood, and boozy but creamy vanilla! I can appreciate the rose and chocolate this is decadent I can almost taste it.... Mmmmm it's like a Valentine's Day night with your significant other! Smooth sweet and sexy all in one lucious and a delightful enveloping scent! So glad I invested in this one! Wow btw it's now 11hrs since I perfumed and I can smell the lovely dry down vanilla with hints of Amber such I'm assuming is the benzoin so beautiful.

Bought this as a blind buy based on untold series for my wife who now has this as her signature scent. It opens very strong, as in 1 spray to your wrist and the people in the other room know you have it on within seconds. The top notes last for about 20 mins and leave a trail, the drydown to mid notes last about 4 hours+ and base notes 12+. Its a very strong spicy floral opening that teases with a vanilla and cinnamon to draw you closer to it's floral and gourmand heart. The amber and woody notes are very noticeable throughout.

This is delicious and so ver well done- there are similar fragrances but this has that something that all the others are missing and that something is what makes it so pleasing to the senses and so unforgettable... untold absolu is quite similar but it’s missing that deep dark shimmery sweetness that luxe has. This is perfect for floral lovers that like gourmands but don’t want to smell like food. I wish there was an oil dupe of this but sadly no one has duped this.

Love this one. This is backup bottle worthy. So cozy and sweet. I get the rose and thankfully not much of the pink pepper which is the only note that concerned me. I have Untold Absolu, another masterpiece of a gourmand, and they are very similar. Luxe is sweet-floral and Absolu is sweet-fruity but yes, very similar. Luxe is gorgeously rich, smooth and creamy. So addictive. If you like gourmands or very sweet fragrances, you can go ahead and blind buy this one.

This is a real beauty! Gourmands are not my cup of tea but this mix of white chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon is truly irresistible and delicious. Untold Luxe is modern, elegant, rich and warm. It's much better than Prada's Candies and any other sweet fragrances I have ever tried. The bottle is impressive, too. I would love to know who has created this perfume for Arden brand. Gorgeous long lasting perfume and unexpected love.

I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. Pink pepper and I have had our problems in the past, but it wasn’t as spicy as the original Untold is to my nose. This is cozy, yummy vanilla. It’s spicy in a smooth cinnamon way, instead of a sharp peppery way. The gourmand notes take over in the dry down, and I’m not mad about it. Well, I’m not angry about it. I am *mad* about this fragrance. 💛

During these cold, rainy winters this is all I want in a perfume. It smells like hot chocolate with a splash of Bailey's Irish Cream! It's deliciously warm and yummy. I can't believe it's a $10 perfume. It sits pretty close to the skin, and lasts forever on clothes. Hooray for Untold Luxe. An all-around winner.

Delightful juice, sweet and spicy, woody and rosey, very loud and long-lasting. It is like an oily stroke of bright- rose-with-golden shade on the drawing paper, rather than thin watercolours. Cheerful, with a generous splash of cinnamon and pepper, very happy and satisfying for Arden fragrance.

This smells good. It’s probably the best EA perfume ever created in my opinion. It is similar to Gucci Guilty and CK Contradiction. The pink pepper and white chocolate are gorgeous and then the dry down with the vanilla, sandalwood and benzoin is sexy. I may need another bottle.

This is everything right now! It is a perfect grown up vanilla! I can actually smell the white chocolate and cinnamon as well. It is absolutely PERFECT for the winter weather here in Pennsylvania. This along with L de Lolita are going to get lots of wear in the next few weeks.

This does smell the best out of the entire untold line but it doesn't last long. If it was still cheap, I'd continue buying and wearing this but since the price is ridiculous and there's no dupe oil, I'll let it go. On to the next find that may be similar and better.

Rather sweeter than I generally like, but just so enticingly rich and warm and heady that it's easy to forgive. That rose and bourbon vanilla smell!

Wish it had stayed little longer... Little strong note but I like wearing it

This is a very mature sweet-floral perfume. It took about 25 minutes for the top notes of pink pepper and rose to die down. After about 30 minutes, that white chocolate note comes through and it's very warm. There is a floral note that remains in the background that prevents it from being overly decadent. The projection is arms length. I didn't overspray, but I know when I do, it'll have a pretty big scent bubble. I don't really consider this a true gourmand honestly. I think this is good for someone who's not usually a fan of gourmand scents, but wants something on the sweet side. I don't see this satisfying someone who likes to smell like literal cake or chocolate lol I see myself layering this with a stronger gourmand. UPDATE: This has a bigger projection than I thought. People will definitely smell this on you!

Not sure why I never got around to review this. Quite good considering it's an older less expensive scent - resinous, gourmand, some traces of white chocolate for sure. Not getting huge amounts of cinnamon or spice it's more of a quiet ambery gourmand, not too vintage, more modern, but take it with a bit of caution that it's not like the rich gourmands of the niche counterparts however still fairly nice. Not too long lasting, but quite enjoyable nonetheless. Vanilla not too overpowering.

Very boozy perfume!! I can imagine how pleasant it is to wear in winter!! In spring might be a bit much, but this is definitely a rich, bold version, smooth rich gourmand , with a vanilla vibe throughout. I like it,it is a complex intriguing perfume. It also has a balsamic undertone , feminine and cozy.... Definitely a very interesting version of Untold!!!
