Untold

Since Fragrantica tends to be the perfect place to tell the story of your relationship with certain scents.. here goes! I was immediately struck by the commercial for Untold. I just loved that song (which strangely still pops into my head on occasion). I googled all over the place to figure out who or what it was (to no avail). At the time, I didn't care much about perfumes. I had a couple drug store staples and Bath & Body Works mists. I sung along with the song when it happened to come on TV, and otherwise forgot all about it. Well, one of those drug store favorites had been discontinued for some time, and the price on eBay is only getting higher and higher. I joined Fragrantica in hopes of finding a similar replacement. While browsing around, I remembered that commercial.. that song. Untold! I should see if it looks as magical as the commerical made it out to be. I first bought a mini. Initially, I could smell nothing but pears. I had never even tasted a pear before - but every time I wore Untold, my teeth would chatter and my mouth would water and I just wanted to bite something, haha! I ended up going to the grocery store to buy a pear, and ate one for the first time in my life. Now, I love pears! And, I also love Untold. I got ahold of a large bottle (for just $10 on eBay!), and quickly began to appreciate its other notes. While pear has the leading role here, the florals sure soften it up, the amber and musk provide warmth and creaminess, but my favorite part is that subtle spiciness! Ugh, just delightful, understated, delicious! It may not be as bold as most of my favorites tend to be, but man, it's a truly remarkable scent in an utterly gorgeous bottle!

I really like this. It is really comforting and pretty. Clean smelling without being "soapy" at all. Almost like a plate of freshly cut pears garnished with white flowers, a slice of bergamot and green leaves. It's very uplifting and comfortable to wear. Another upside is, it's very versatile. This scent could be worn in any season. It's not seasonal like so many of my other favorites. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous! Actually, it's truly one of the prettiest bottles I've ever seen! That was shocking to me coming from Elizabeth Arden since they have put out some of the ugliest bottles in history! They just really stepped up their game with the Untold line. I got my first bottle online but I bought a back up at TJ for like 10 bucks. I also saw some smaller bottles at Marshalls a few days ago for $7.99 I'm going to go back and buy those too I think! This stuff is THAT awesome. If they have the Untold Absolu, I'm going to pick that up too! I suspect this will end up being a spendy trip because truth be told, I'm buying ALL the Untold! lol I figure I will want back ups and this would also make a safe gift for friends and family so it's good to keep a few bottles around.

I came across this bottle without expecting much from the fragrance but I was pleasantly surprised at how comforting this is. Untold opens with a fresh juicy pear that is kicked into life with a soft pink pepper and cassis. The beginning ever so slightly reminds me of the freshness of Chance Eau Tendre or Jimmy Choo EDT. The bergamot is really fleeting and honestly the patchouli is barely there. Then this fruity floral of warm jasmine and gardenia transforms into a nice amber with depth. It is not something ground breaking or special, but it is very cozy! I can imagine myself curled up on the sofa in a warm sweater with a cup of milk gazing out on a rainy day. It reminds me to be grateful for what I have and evokes gentle and tender memories. It certainly is great for light everyday casual use in colder seasons. Moderate then to soft silage lasting about 3-4 hours. I do like it but I wouldn't consider buying it as I think there are a lot of similar scents that I already have that satiate my needs. I would happily receive this as a gift and use it, but wouldn't go out in my way of obtaining it unless it is cheap.

I remember when this first came out I smelled it in the magazine. At some point wanted to go to the store and try it out. Then I found that in Hawaii where I live, department stores do not carry Elizabeth Arden. Wha??? Common, Elizabeth Arden, what is up with this?? You can order EA products at Macy's online but not in store. Ugh. But I digress. At the time I remember it being floral oriental with perhaps fruit notes. Fast forward to couple of weeks ago where my local TJ Maxx got bottles and bottles of Untold-Untold Absolu, Eau Legere and regular Untold. I chose Absolu and thought it was nice. Little unusual-it was rather heady floral oriental, sweet and warm. I was not in love but in deep like. Since I seen regular Untold for bargain price of 7.99, I decided to give it a go. Well, the only difference between this and Absolu is that fruit notes are more evident and its a bit stronger. Otherwise, same exact thing. I was surprised to see gardenia note which I can usually identify but here, I couldn't. I do wish it was more prominent. Overall, nice scent

Edit: This is BEAUTIFUL. It has a divine yet gentle presence. I really love its opening. Personally (on my skin), it opened with a forceful spiced (pepper) hot pear/fruit and floral aroma which I take to be the pear (obviously) and bergamot (as well as the cassis and jasmine). It was odd at first and then turned to a luxurious sweet floral musky base. Pleasant and wearable. Lasting power is very good and sillage great. Lots of compliments when wearing this sweetheart. It smells very womanly! expensive and comforting like wearing a new camel coat on the streets of Manhattan...or beauty counter shopping in the warm South with my best friend. Very attractive and creamy, and VERY Elizabeth Arden. A more creamy peppery version of 5th Avenue. Also reminded me of Tresor in some ways but it lasted much longer on my skin. Worthy of any perfume collection and those gwp always keep me coming back ;-) This would be a very lovely wedding day fragrance. The delightfully sweet musk drydown is delicious and perfect for a bride.

Untold is one of the few fragrances I can buy from a store that is within driving distance. I tested it a few times, really liked it, finally caved and bought it. Untold is just one of those perfumes that can be worn pretty much any time, anywhere. It isn’t challenging but it also isn’t some vacuous, cheap smelling drivel. It is sweet and slightly fruity but not overly so. The pear is not dominate on my skin. On my skin, this is dries down to a very subtle, slightly sweet, creamy floral. Some negatives - longevity is lacking, maybe two hours, tops. But it can be found inexpensively on the internet, so top offs aren’t an issue. Also, I am one of the ones that smell the cedar, and nothing but cedar, in the top notes. The cedar scent is discernible for maybe 5 minutes, gradually receding. Just something to be aware of. Verdict - definitely a strong like for the scent. I don’t know at this point if I want a larger bottle than the 1 oz I have but, even with longevity lacking, I really like the way this smells.

It has been no surprise that I adore fruity florals, but this one seriously took me by surprise.... I randomly spritzed this on and left the store only to wonder what incredible scent was on my wrist.... I finally determined that it was this, Untonld... It opens slightly fruity, but no way near "in your face" fruity... It is a light, sophisticated fruit but quickly develops a gorgeous depth that makes one want to keep sniffing.... I think it may be the latent notes of cassis, pink pepper and patchouli that catch my attention, but nonetheless, this has quickly moved up on my list of most used..... Longevity... about 3 hours, but I am now very comfortable about re-spritzing.....

I never thought to try an Elizabeth Arden fragrance until I received a sample of this and found it very wearable. It smells very beautiful and sophisticated, soft fruits and gentle florals on a musky amber base blend together beautifully to create a lovely fragrance with excellent lasting power and reasonable silage. This isn't a stand out fragrance in my collection but overall it's impressive, a definite crowd pleaser, and I think of it as something to wear to family gatherings or meeting the parents of a new boyfriend for the first time. Classy, feminine and beautiful.

I have a few perfumes with a pink pepper note but this is the only one where I spray and I think, wow ... pink pepper! As the other notes emerge, it's slightly sweet from the fruit and a bit musky. I'm not a fan of gardenia but I do like the florals in this one. The amber, spiced with pink pepper, gives it a warmness and sensuality. This starts as a rather heavy scent but lightens with time. I would say in general it's a strong and confident scent. It works great for winter. It's amazing, I love it.

Absolutely beautiful fragrance, as always from Elizabeth Arden, super quality, for a super low price. It's a delicious, addictive gem, that deserves more loving. It opens with a super bright, fruity note, then comes the creamy gardenia note. It's subtle, and yet it lasts, and is definitely noticeable. The bottle is so nice, has a nice weight and a quality feel. Superior to a multitude of higher priced fragrances, don't be put off by the low price, quality fragrance.

I have tried various brands of perfumes. But Elizabeth Untold is still my favorite. And the only one that I have finished the whole bottle. It is light and fresh yet still got some feminine scent to it. A very balanced scent to my nose. Since I am not fond of the overtly sweet and floral feminine fragrances yet the more neutral fresh fragrances I tested were a bit light or with too much lemons in them. I have found my signature ❤

I smelt it on a Ribbon today... What a pleasant kiss to the nose... Frozen pears and apples, sweet and juicy. But this is not a girl. This is a woman's scent. This is not fruity, this is sophisticated fruitiness. I saw that most detected an amberness to it, and my nose almost missed it. Taking a whiff again, there is a slight warm fuzzy smell. A modern mother's scent that will not offend anyone. Safe and loveable. I want this!

Gorgeous scent, I'm surprised it's not more popular. I really love the pear scent which is sweet but not overly sweet. I'm not a big fan of patchouli but I only smell a sharpness on occasion. It's a very well blended, creamy, elegant fragrance. The longevity is great; 2 sprays will last the whole day on me. I also own Untold Absolu which is sweeter with vanilla. Gorgeous scent as well with great longevity.

Rainy season has come to Bogor, Indonesia. The weather's getting cooler since the cloud and lots of raining. It's the perfect time for me to take my Untold back to the first row of fragrance that I have to wear everyday. It wraps me with the sweet/fresh pear blend with the classic elegant white floral. Perfect for this weather, perfect for me. Longevity is about 7 hours. Love this fragrance so much!

I am i LOVE with Untold. Its warm, creamy, cozy and inviting. This could never be offensive and I think would make someone near to you feel at ease. I feel instantly calm when wearing it and keep smelling my wrist throughout the day.I don't know about notes in perfume yet but I can sense the pear. The longevity and silage are excellent. It just makes you want to get under the covers and snuggle.

I am testing this today and am liking it much more than I thought I would. The predominant note to my nose is pear with a sweet warm amber base, I do see a little similarity to Hilary Duff with Love but this is sweeter and lighter. It is very pretty, light and feminine and so easy to wear. I would consider buying a FB of this if I see it at a great price, the body lotion is also an added bonus.

I recall when my first child was born. What is the scent of a baby? To me a newborn scent was that of freshly cut green bosc pears and white flowers. Fresh, soft and comforting. This sparkling jewel of a bottle captures the liquid essence of sweet innocence. Untold is fresh pears, white florals with amber undertones. I will be forever in love with Untold.

This stuff is awesome!!! I always get won over with a perfume with regards to longevity. This stuff lasts and lasts! The lasting slightly woody dry down is the best part. That's the bit that is reminiscent of the gucci family. I haven't smelt gucci guilty but there are slight similarities with gucci bamboo. EA doesn't fail in good value for money.

This perfume is unbelievable. Amazing I say. It makes me feel pretty, classy and sophisticated. You need to see the commercial for this, it's says it all. It smells very expensive . I can smell the fruit notes. It's like a sweet fruity scent for a woman over 25. Although any age can wear this. very classy fragrance

now i believe "don't judge the bottle or brand by looking at the cover" until you discover the scent from top to bottom, sweet fruity, sweet flowery, soft spicy and clean ambery, warm/sweet/flowery/ambery no regret but victory, worth for money, it's last 6 hours on my hands (solid) but more than 3 days on my scarf

I love this perfume. To me it's the perfect autumn/fall perfume. It's spicy, sweet and warm. I bought this at Marshall's and I was afraid because it was $9.99 and I had no idea how this would smell. I remembered how you can't go too wrong with an Elizabeth Arden scent. I have zero regrets purchasing this.

Oh wow! This is really good stuff. I only tried it because there was literally nothing else to try. And I found a masterpiece! I smell mostly pear and spices. It's fruity, sexy and spicy. There is some similarity to Gucci's Guilty, which I also love. Tender, alluring and perfect! The one to own!

I love it, it’s been my signature scent for years, now I’m wearing Chanel Chance Eau Tendre and it’s very similar to EA Untold, same vibe. My friend thought that I’m wearing Untold and was surprised when I told her no it’s different perfume it’s Chanel Chance Eau Tendre. I love them both.

Perfumes pick me. This one really likes me. I am trying to learn more about them to see what the perfumes that like me have in common with one another. Untold is light enough to wear in the office, but I could wear it for evening if I wish (would probably need to reapply, though).

A very peppery opening followed by a sweat but cloying pear and floral heart that stays for about 30 mins to drydown. Silliage is about 6 feet with a trail (amber) Longevity is about 4 hours but 12 hours with a woody amber lingering.

I love this fragrance. I have just the sample right now. It's light and slightly sweet but in a mature way. Perfect for daytime use. Will be splurging on this one soon.

Lovely! After about an hour, the dry down is FANTASTIC *swoon* I do wish that it lasted longer, however.....gonna try to find a sample of the Luxe!!

When I wear this as it starts to cool down in the fall my som says I smell like Christmas. There could be no better compliment from a 5 year old.

Like a pleasant, fruity-floral shampoo with refreshing pepper in the opening. Nothing groundbreaking, still a very likeable one.

Just tried today, it's delicious, a lovely fruity-floral. I love it.

The bottle is almost a copy of Stella McCartney L.I.L.Y.

Love at first smell <3 :) I have this and the absolu.

Received this today from a swap. Very happy as Elizbeth Arden perfumes had never really been on my radar (they are not easily spotted here in the UK.) Gorgeous crystal bottle, which looks like a heart when turned slightly to the side. I like how the perfumer said they wanted to capture the many facets of a woman, what a lovely and interesting concept. When first sprayed I smell a delicious juicy pear, a faint pink pepper mixed with bergamot and cassis. This stage lasts about an hour and a half before the pear while still visible, moves off center stage as a blooming luxurious gardenia dances with Egyptian jasmine. Soon after another hour the whole composition is wrapped in amber and a light musk. I don't really smell the patchouli yet, which is good for me as i'm not a big fan of patchouli. I would agree with previous reviewers who mentioned how well blended and creamy Untold is, and how it smells quite expensive. I only used two sprays, one on my wrists and one on my neck, and I could smell it clearly, with good sillage. The one thing I would change is the longetivity, lasts around 3 hours on me sadly! Luckily I have a smaller bottle so its not a huge pain reapplying, although with how delicate it is I would worry a bit carrying it in my handbag. This reminds me of Sensational by Celine Dion a little bit, but stronger as its an EDP, and creamier. Both give off that happy, joyful aura. I could imagine wearing this at a garden party or outdoors barbecue, and its so pretty without being overpowering it would make a great day to day or work scent too. Its also a nice change for me, as I tend to go for gourmands or else orientals, I'm usually not a huge fruity floral fan as I tend to smell them everywhere, but untold is so pretty I'm happy I have this and made the exception. 7.5/10 from me (would have been a 8.5 if it lasted longer, but still very happy with this perfume ^_^)

I have smelled this twice at the store and I've liked it each time I smelled it. I just won a bottle on ebay, so I'm excited to own it. I think the bottle is classy and lovely. I find the scent lovely too. I see reviews that say it smells like Gucci Guilty which I've been considering buying. After I get this, I'll compare it when I see a tester of Guilty, as I don't need both. This seems like it could be worn year round and I think it might be my first Elizabeth Arden, other than an untouched bottle of Red Door. I hope this ends up having good projection and longevity. I'll update after it arrives. Edit: This is truly nice. I was worried about sillage, but it seems better than some of my perfumes. Most times after I spray a perfume, after a couple hours, I can't smell it, with this every time I move, I can smell it. I like that because then I know others can smell it as well. To me this smells expensive and just plain nice. Why do I smell so much CEDAR, even though it's not listed? I have to admit the pencil shavings smell always keeps me from wearing this.... Update: I love the bottle, but I just can't wear this one. On me, the "wood" note ends up smelling like a just sharpened pencil. I see that there isn't even a wood note in the notes above, and all the listed notes, are ones I can easily wear, so I'm baffled. I'm so sad, because I really want to wear this. Even when I just smell the sprayer, it smells very strongly of that "wood" note. My bottle isn't "off" because its been stored in my dark closet, and I haven't had it that long. Maybe I'll try Untold Absolu, because I really, really can't wear this one......

While I love pear,gardenia and jasmine,untold looked like a risky blindbuy for me as I usually don't like pink pepper,patchouli and cassis but there was no need to worry.I can see footprints of all the listed notes in it but neither patchouli nor pink pepper don't bother me here. When first sprayed,I can mostly smell a strong and fizzy pear with a bit of blackcurrent and citruses,an almost loud fresh opening,but it soon settles down and blends with white flowers while there's the right amount of musk,patchouli and amber to add warmness to it's fresh,fizzy top notes,also add a bit of refinement and make it a floral fruity which is also suitable for mature ladies All in all it smells pleasant and I like it.it's safe but not bland.easy to wear but also ladylike and classy enough to wear in office,it's feminine but not too girly,it's not too sweet,too musky,too spicy,overly fruity or heavily floral.it's right amount of these all.and it has an acceptable longevity and sillage. It's bottle is heavy and looks good but I find it difficult to keep it with one hand(the 100mil) معتدل،چهارفصل،یه عطر گلی،میوه ای که برای خانم های بالغ هم قابل استفاده ست.نه زیادی میوه ایه،نه زیادی اسپایسی،نه زیادی شیرینه،نه زیادی مشکی،نه یه گلی سنگینه حتما بهش پنج دقیقه زمان بدید چون لحظه اسپری کردن شاید حس کنید شارپه اما خیلی زود خوشایند و دلنشین میشه بنظرم عطر خاص و فراموش نشدنی نیست اما پرکاربرد،زنانه،زیبا و یجورایی شیکه و موندگاری قابل قبولی هم داره

I love this fragrance. As many others here, I was surprised Elizabeth Arden produced such a strong contender. I do smell the brightness of pear and the sweetness of gardenia. The main notes that stand out on my skin are the amber and the slight spiciness of patchouli. I am not a patchouli fan in any way, but it is so well blended here it's a mere whisper. Just enough to give the scent an edge. No, this is not an in-your-face kind of scent, but it is lovely, warm, and feminine. It has a bit of sweetness without being cloying. It's mature, but not old ladyish. It wears somewhat close to the skin on me and the intimacy of that makes me feel pretty. I only wish the longevity of the scent was a little better. I find myself reapplying a spray on the back of my neck under my hair after 4 hours. This is a great everyday scent for the down to earth, yet confident woman.

I really like this little frag from EA and I'm not a great fan of any of her other frags, but well done to Clement Gavarry for this lovely, pretty and feminine scent. It opens with a spicy freshness (bergamot and pepper) which quickly transforms into a lovely fruity heart with a touch of gentle jasmine and the base is sweetened with a quiet and well behaved patchouli and amber. I don't get a screechy musk, all the notes in this perfume are gentle and subtle, nothing screams at you. The dry down is very beautiful and in actual fact, it is the grand finale of the whole composition. My verdict on this is that it is a wearable and stylish scent which is inoffensive but classy and likeable and will get admired. Silage stays close to the skin but has a very impressive longevity and the dry down is definitely worth waiting for.

On me this is very ambery right from the first spray. I am not a fan of pear notes in fragrance (on my skin - it smells great on others), but the pear in Untold is indeed lovely. Overall, Untold is a subtle, spicy, warm scent that I would categorize as being in the same "family" as Estee Lauder Sensuous. Frankly, I was disappointed with Untold. I expected something that would really grab attention from this line since nothing has quite measured up to the legends of Red Door and Fifth Avenue. Although I detest Red Door, I respect it, and I think Fifth Avenue (my mother wears it all the time) is stunningly beautiful. I enjoy Pretty and Pretty Hot, but they are not in the same league as Red Door and Fifth Avenue. After trying Untold, if I had to choose one Elizabeth Arden fragrance, it would be Pretty.

I usually can't stand pear notes on my skin, but the florals in this are so well-balanced, I can't really distinguish individual notes. Around here, the launch of Estee Lauder's Modern Muse eclipsed the launch of this fragrance, and I think that's a shame. Untold is the hidden beauty here...like Elizabeth Arden's makeup and skincare, this fragrance has a shockingly fair price tag for a product that "feels" expensive. For some reason Elizabeth Arden as a brand, while very popular on the US East Coast, never really took off on the West Coast, so we've been missing out on some great stuff. For a "safe", work-friendly, unlikely-to-offend-cantankerous-scent-tyrants, Untold is elegant, distinctive, and lovely. Slightly creamy, musky, gently-floral, it's easy to wear and quite enjoyable.

A blast of sweetness fills up your lungs upon the first spritz. A fruity feminine scent, very warm and delicious, almost like biting into a juicy ripe pear in mid autumn. A joyful and welcoming scent. Probably not suitable for hot summer days though. A people pleaser, surely. But nothing memorable or special. Personally, the sweetness is too overpowering for me. I generally do not like sweet scents. It is a beautiful scent however, so perhaps one could use less or layer it with something else. Oh and, I noticed that it makes me feel really safe. Like the scent of a favourite aunt. That is another reason that I won't be buying it if I finish my sample. I'm not trying to smell safe or like an aunt. The bottle is really pretty though. What a pity that the scent isn't to my liking.

Gorgeous bottle. I do enjoy the scent but it does not blow me away. This is my work scent, and it is entirely appropriate for that setting. This reminds me somewhat of a fragrance I wore in the 80s-90s : Claiborne Realities. Not an exact dupe but quite similar feel. Notes for Realities: Top notes are chamomile, osmanthus, sage and bergamot; middle notes are lily, carnation, freesia, jasmine and bulgarian rose; base notes are sandalwood, amber, vanilla and peach. Notes for Untold :Top notes are pink pepper, bergamot, pear and cassis; middle notes are egyptian jasmine and gardenia; base notes are patchouli, amber and musk. Must be the combo of bergamot, jasmine and amber that I am getting. I don't see this as a must buy, but a safe everyday fragrance with a bit of a kick.

After seeing this in a tiny, out of the way pharmacy and understanding it had been discontinued I thought why not? Pear, pink pepper and cassis on first spray. The cassis on my skin comes in very sharp and unpleasant but settles quickly thankfully. Flowers next. Peony strongest on me which is unusual as I usually pull jasmine out of most other fragrances over anything else. Base is very mild patchouli and sandalwood. Hardly ground-breaking as pear and peony seem to be everywhere currently, but is definitely not unpleasant. Safe, crowd-friendly and relatively comforting. The cassis in this does not work for me on hot days. Would be fine all year round otherwise.

This is wearing a costume. Upon first application I got a strong impression of the big- shoulder, statement jewelry wearing early 80's woman. It has the same feel as the scents developed then, but the relatively softer ones like Magie Noir, not Opium and Poison. Then she took off her costume, stepped into the present, and became a mature, sophisticated floral with fruity overtones. There's more amber in this than I prefer but thankfully no vanilla, but that's just personal preference. I'm not entirely sure this is so special that if someone walked by wearing this you'd know what it was. Also the longevity on me was less than I expected. Great bottle though!

This was a gift, something I wouldn't have gotten for myself, and I held off on trying it because fruity floral perfumes aren't really my thing. But it's actually kind of nice. Very soft and creamy. A little too sweet for me, but definitely something I can wear when my signature, Alien, is too loud or inappropriate. And there aren't any woody notes listed, but I swear there's something woody in this. The pear is *super* sweet, and sticks around for a long time, but I like the bergamot and pink pepper. I want expecting to like this, but it's really not bad. A solid choice when you need something soft and inoffensive.

It’s quite some time since I wore this perfume. It was a favourite of mine but I just moved on to other fragrances after a while. It’s a nice, light, feminine fragrance. Spicy and floral. Woody and Dewey. A walk in the woods on a warm day, with the sunlight trickling through the trees. The sound of a stream and laughter in the air. A feel good fragrance. Not overpowering or demanding. Never too much just enough to be reliable. The floral notes last and so does the powdery base. I would definitely buy this again. You don’t have to worry about using too much, it’s never an in your face type of smell.

I am first attracted to test this perfume by its TV commercial. I want to appear to be sophisticated, beautiful, happy and have the ability to cause men to take a second look too! The actual perfume is what the tv commercial has promised to make me feel.I particularly like the fresh pear at the top note. Also the bottle. The tv commercial and the scent represent EA well I think. Not partying, not glamourous, not sporty type. But the everyday women who are just different from the rest, more elegant, more beautiful more sophiscated...

When I first spritzed this fragrance, I thought this was the one! The opening was a gorgeous bouquet of fruits and florals, and the heart was full of more seductive florals, then the dry down....well the dry down turned into lemons. I'm so glad I saw this fragrance through from start to finish before jumping into to buy it based on the initial opening and heart notes. It was nearly perfect until that dry down came along. The longevity was pretty poor too, didn't take long to get to the lemony part. A very forgettable fragrance.

I really like this one! I saw the notes and was really hoping I would like it because it's very similar to miss dior (which is my signature). I first smell wonderful fruits....pear and cassis. The cassis makes this one smell rich and fruity, then add in the creaminess of the sweet jasmine. I can pick out the patchouli fairly easily. It makes me feel pretty, flirty, excited....ready for a fun loving day. My husband said he liked this one....that it reminded him of a library.....whatever that means. :)

Ooooh, the pepper makes this fragrance fun! It sure adds some zing in the opening and I can actually smell it until the drydown. Then the gardenia kicks in adding some floral punch to the whole composition. I like it - it's a rather light floral with a peppery edge. And yes - if you are upset about it being discontinued, I suggest you try Flora Gorgeous Gardenia by Gucci. On my skin I can definitely detect some similarities between the two when it comes to the pear and gardenia notes.
