White Tea Mandarin Blossom

One word: Zen. White tea OG came off as a little too light on me, this one however, was so beautiful. The fine citrus and green notes give it a very clean and modern feel. It's by no means generic, and actually a very elegant and comfortable office vibe. The tea is mild, rather than sweet fruity, this is very fresh and green, it's inoffensive and it was love at first scent. On paper it was more citrusy, but on my skin smells fresh forest-y(?). My beau likes it too, which I take as a win as he dislikes my other stronger chypre / amber fragrances, seems like fresh and clean is easy to please. It is somewhat female leaning but very easily acceptable as unisex. Even on my beau I just find that he smells clean and fresh. Sillage is intimate to moderate, it lasts only 4-ish hours on my skin unfortunately and perhaps around 6 hours on my clothes, but for its price I don't mind as much, I notice it is very chameleon-like, sometimes after half a day I still catch a faint whiff especially when it gets warm, maybe I just get anosmic to it after a while, which is why I try not to apply it every day because I want to be able to smell it often, but that's a bit hard because I always find myself reaching for this as a layering scent as well. A very strong like to love, I'll just say love. Also bottles usually also are a consideration, and I have a preference for classic-looking bottles as opposed to modern, but this one oh is so sleek and elegant as a modern bottle, I find it absolutely beautiful. I just can't help but feel that this scent is so underrated but understandably, not everyone would like it, especially those who do not favour slightly sourish greens. I love it because it's absolutely calming and refreshing. For some reason, I get this feeling of being in a very cold high indoor place, but the sunlight is shining brightly through the windows. It's a very liminal and minimalistic feeling like sterile white walls in harmony with greenery, and I'm usually one to dislike modern minimalism - but this isn't empty per se, but- a very decluttered, clean, glasslike transparent type of zen. I imagine myself being in a very clean and sophisticated office building, where everything is clean, neat and tidy, and no one is there. It's more like a memory I can't put my finger to, but the sun is bright and the sky is blue, and everything feels calm and I feel like time has come to a standstill in that moment, and I am allowed to rest for as long as I need. Perhaps I'm sitting alone in modern library with vast skylights and airport-like windows, and watching nothing but clouds and fields in the distance when I look up from the book, shadows falling artfully onto the other empty desks and benches. Anything that gives me a piece of fleeting feeling I wish to keep is automatically a must-have fragrance in my book. I've smelt the whole range of Elizabeth Arden's White Tea, OG and flankers, and this one easily stole my heart, Ginger Lily being a close second but not really my thing, Rose a bit generic and heavy (I am still looking for a rose that smells like an actual flower from the stalk, nothing has really gotten onto my list in that regard, yet.). It's also a bit rarer to find this brand in Malaysia, and I first had my late grandmother's Red Door 5ml which smelled great and lasted for over 20 years before going weird at the end of last year, but too much for me when I tested a new one at the shop (I much prefer Chanel's CC Mlle Intense / Guerlain's Shalimar EDP if I wanted something intense), and only knew about this new line through a magazine on the plane. I am glad I didn't blind buy the White Tea OG that was offered in-flight; I wouldn't have liked it as much. But the moment I caught a whiff of this flanker the airport I spent an hour wondering whether to spend just RM190 on the 50ml immediately, or go online and get a 100ml for RM230 from the official store on Christmas sale. It was just, so, so beautiful I immediately wanted to own it. I ended up getting the 100ml because I knew I'd reach for this scent often, the 1 week wait was worth it. I layer it with other greens and florals, it's one of the most inconspicuous yet beautiful that I own. Easily in my top 10 despite it being so inconspicuous. I pray they never discontinue this, it's heavenly.

clean, light and breezy. i was looking for more of a zesty orange peel note, but the greener citrus lends some nice subtlety that mixes well with the cedar. it also lacks any unpleasant chemical sharpness in the opening, which the citrus-forward perfumes i've tried often suffer from. honestly, this reads more as a white floral bc the jasmine and orange blossom notes are so prominent. i do wish this came in a parfum because the sillage is quite intimate and ephemeral as is, though if you have a sensitive nose it'll definitely save you a headache. i haven't tried the other white tea flankers yet, and now i'm seriously tempted to do so if they're all mixed this well. 9/10 overall

This is one of my favourite fruity scents for summer. Simple and refreshing! I have had compliment wearing her. She is just young and uplifting, like the actual smell of nature and not synthetic. I would recommend spraying a fair bit if you want strong sillage. I can imagine wearing her to a lunch time picnic or an outdoor event during the day. If you want something pleasant, subtle and not over the top then this is for you.

It smells really nice, but the longevity is quite short—only about an hour—and it’s very intimate. After an hour, you can still detect it, but only if you deliberately focus on it. It’s also so subtle that no one would notice it with just one or two sprays. However, if you’re wearing it purely for your own pleasure and not to overwhelm others, it’s a really good fragrance. I personally love it!

smells way more expensive than it is in my opinion. i love this for summer because on warm skin the scent reminds me of a fancy lotion i get complimented on this a lot, usually by people who have been in very close contact with me though, so i'd say it has more of an intimate sillage.

I love the original White Tea, and was unsure whether to bother with the spin-offs. However, I liked the sound of both the Mandarin Blossom and the Gingerlily, so took the plunge, and I’m jolly glad I did. I normally try to write something vaguely descriptive about a scent itself, but I’m struggling with this range. Not because they’re especially complex as compositions, but because they seem to be elusive in some way. They change: on my clothes versus on my skin, over time, and according to climate. Somehow that sounds trite. After all, isn’t the same true of all but the most linear fragrances? And yet, I do feel it’s particularly noticeable for me in the case of these beauties. They are real chameleons. So, I can’t do them justice - I just love them.

skin test, autumn day but not chilly i find the flankers to be more 'visible' than the original white tea, that OG goes a bit nothing on me. white tea mandarin is fresh, clean, citrusses are not pithy nor tart. like a rounded citrus blossom, you can pick up a bit of the stem and leaves in this, though not a green or woody scent overall. as if you have peeled a fresh mandarin skin off and the general mandarin peel, branch and a split leaf aromas are still in the air. then theres a general floraly, clean musk layer under the mandarin feel. there is no actual 'tea' smell happening which for me is good. fresh, gentle citrus, airy, clean.

I think that this is an excellent flanker of the White Tea EDT. It does what a flanker really should do: contain clear inspiration and similarities to the original while introducing new and interesting elements. Although this is very citrusy, it is not very zesty and I find the citrus to be more green and woody than bright. I really get the orange blossom and I think that it compliments the tea leaves and musky notes well. I'm not sure that I like this version more than the original, but I think that it is very much worth trying! This is a clean, fresh, light and relaxing fragrance, very similar in character to the original.

I like fruity scents and dislike heavy florals. I find this to be a gentle scent. The citrus is not particularly juicy or sparkly. Instead, it reminds me of when you peel a mandarin with your hands and you catch that whiff of peel smell. I can almost feel that sensation of pulling the peel away from the skin as you anticipate biting into a segment. You start to eat, it is not particularly sweet or intense, but just light and refreshing. And when you are finished your little orange, the smell of the peel lingers pleasantly on your fingers.

This is very inoffensive, safe, clean, soft, and it reminds me of a slightly sweet soft white musk. The "mandarin blossom" notes are well blended to produce a rounded soft fragrance. The citrus notes do not stand out as juicy or fresh. I do not detect ambroxin in here at all, and I'm surprised because it stays very close to the skin. The dry down is a tiny bit "peppery"--perhaps it's the cedar. It is sweeter and rounder to compared to the original White Tea which has a crisp-ness/sharpness to it.

This is very similar to the original but with the orange amped up. It is a fresh orange not sweet. Honestly, all the flankers are so similar to the original I feel like I only need one. I love the original. I was didn't care for the last two flankers. I like this though. People that like citrus, clean, fresh fragrances will like this. @trevorstilerocks- I do think a guy could wear this. It is not sweet. Just fresh and citrus. And who cares anyway. If you smell it and love it wear it.

Very pleasant fragrance. A nice and grown-up floral fruity scent for spring and summer. Not groundbreaking but well done. It’s soft and fresh, feminine and relaxing. May be a bit too floral for some, but i like it. If you like the others from this line or you like the “Boss Ma Vie” kind of perfume, you will probably like this one. Sillage is impressive when you first spray. Try it if you are looking for a sunny scent for hot days.

I blind bought this and Versace Dylan Turquoise at the same time. Both are similar but this is nicer. At first spray it reminded me of shampoo but the dry down it's quite nice. Very light unfortunately but a gentle white floral faint citrus smell. I think this fragrance would be nice as a soap of hand cream. It just doesn't have the silage I like. Would be good for an every day smell for someone who doesn't like strong perfumes.

Great and cheap for everyday wear. Not offensive at all and not overly strong, safe for the office, I'd say this actually sits pretty close to the skin and doesn't really have a powerful sillage. Smells mostly clean and fresh, kind of like a citrus and cucumber shower gel? There's this freshness in here which reminds me of cucumber even though it is not listed as one of the notes.

I was afraid it would be another variation of the good old Green Tea but the mandarin in it has played its trick. A lovely fresh aroma with a bit of musky tint in it. I’m usually not a fan of neroli and ambroxan but here they are barely noticeable and very well-balanced with other ingredients. Which I could feel a bit of cedar though...

Smells really nice and fresh and lovely and pretty and soft and light BUT it's soooo light maybe too light! the scent is so faint that after 5 minutes there's almost no scent left! and no sillage at all. you have to put your nose right next on your skin to smell it. maybe it'll project better in hot weather.

Starts with a burst of bright orange notes and then gets progressively more and more like the OG White Tea as it dries down. It's nice! When I tried it side by side with the original, this one seemed to have a bit more projection and longevity.

The mandarin blossom and musk is strong on me. Smells fresh! I like wearing it in spring and summer. Longevity can last a little bit over 6hours on me, and sits very close to skin, so very intimate. Definitely one of my favs now!

This is very similar to CK in2U, which I really liked in the past. But now, its too masculine and not sweet and sexy enough. I have tested this only, the longevity seemed to be similar to CK in2U, so it's a great alternative.

I'm scared to test this on my skin due to the base notes not usually being ones that work for me BUT on initial spray this is sooooo lovely. Citrus tea will always be my juice!
