White Tea Vanilla Orchid

This perfume takes me back in time to the early days of my romance with my French lover. Our first night together was in this gorgeous 5-star luxury hotel. The soaps and lotions there were so beautifully scented I fell in love with them so I had to take all of them back home. How I wished I would find perfume matching those. Couple of days ago I went searching for my new spring perfume and just like by miracle I found this gem. This smells exactly like those luxury soaps. I can't get enough of this. It's very feminine, warm, comforting scent. I love it.

Another Amber floral that I love!. Funny, I've been realizing that most of the fragrances that I love are floral amber's and Vanilla amber's. Tonight I dug out my old (almost empty) bottle of this. Mmm. It reminds me of Vanilla Orchid by Floral Street. Just a lovely unsweetened, soft vanilla with a bit of musk in the drydown. Longevity is moderate as is the projection. Just a really beautiful scent!

A smooth, fluffy, musky but clean scent.

I think this might be the strongest White Tea in the line, but as with all of them, you need to wear them in warm weather to get the best from them! This is sweet and creamy. Oddly enough I think it smells so much like Britney Spears Prerogative Ego that I think I could take this little sample to top up with when I’m wearing that one to work! Tbh Ego is stronger for sure, vanilla orchid has a decent amount of throw for a white tea perfume.... They’re normally extremely intimate but this one creates a sweet, fragrant bubble around me! Re comparisons I have CK In2U and that is very citrusy and woody.... Almost piney, and quite unisex. I don’t smell much resemblance over all. I wouldn’t have made a link between this and Crystal Noir either. CN is sharper, soapier and a bit more screechy than Vanilla Orchid. I think this is an easier reach than either of those! There is a hint of the OG but it is more of a distant relative than most of the other flankers imho - apart from Wild Rose, which I didn’t enjoy as it’s was very fruity! Vanilla Orchid is the most feminine of the bunch too. Ps, it’s got vanilla but as someone who is mega fussy about vanilla in perfumes, it isn’t overwhelming, sickly or too perfumey.

For me, this was a pleasant surprise of the set. White Tea Vanilla is quite strong stand alone. While mandarin and rose are very obviously White Tea's little sister. The vanilla seems more like a distant cousin, as the vanilla really sets it apart. I found the vanilla a very interesting scent. I have't had many perfumes that don't pair vanilla with wood or musk, and the end result is nearly always a warm and comforting perfume. However, White Tea Vanilla remains true to the clean scent I feel White Teas are known for, but has a really lovely main note of vanilla, and the clean fresh scent fades into the background. For me, the dry down is subtle, yet long lasting. It's a fantastic every day fragrance for someone who wants to smell clean and sweet without overpowering (looking at you Alien). Fair price point, and probably one of favourite vanillas so far. However that may just be a testement that I'm very bored with vanilla scents in the perfume industry and this one has piqued my interest.

This was one of the flankers that I tried the day before my birthday. I went back to try the Elizabeth Arden White Tea line, to see if I preferred the original - or the other flankers. So far, I prefer the original blend the absolute best. That one is really hard to compete with. This, I tried on the other arm - it was much softer and I preferred the original, then the Wild Rose blend. This line is growing on me, I really like the more natural perfumes after wearing Calvin Klein's Beauty perfume awhile and seeing what response I was having from wearing that one. These start stronger the first hour, then if you are the type that likes any strength whatsoever - you will want to respray/spritz/roll... whatever - after the first hour or so. I love the general concept of this line, I just wish that it had more silage and lasted longer - This turns into a skin scent where you can barely detect that you have sprayed it, unless smelling directly on the skin.

I love vanilla, I love tea and I also like White Tea Vanilla Orchid, but I don't love it. I got a small bottle in a blind swap and I'll pass it on to someone else. It's perfectly fine, just not impressive. The opening is the best part, it really smells like a freshly brewed tea with lemon and bergamot, with a yummy buttery vanilla note in the background, but still light and refreshing. A good option for wearing vanilla on a hot day. In the drydown it's less vanillic on my skin and more like a clean white musk. I still clearly smell the tea note, but it's also quite woody. Even though it's not listed I get something like cedar out of this. The whole scent is rather light and close to the skin, a typical warm weather daytime scent you can wear anywhere when you don't want to stand out.

I have a bottle, from a giveaway here (thanks SailorV!) ---- A fresh vanilla with a twist. Nothing like any vanilla fragrance I had before. Dry, bitter-ish and fresh. Reminds me of the way a Rituals store I used to pass by did smell, and I enjoyed that smell. Dry tea leaves, something woody but dry like cedar or dry grass, vague fresh fruit bark, citruses. And a fresh, not sweet vanilla. On my skin the musk is not projecting much, so the other notes shine more. The vanilla gives it roundness and fluffiness and the global effect, for me, is of serene energy. Very enjoyable and sure to get a place in my rotation to focus on work during summer (I don't have A/C). --- Does not last too long, around 2 hours projecting plus around 1-2 hours as a veil of light vanilla on my skin.

I really like this! It's not a love, but for the summer days it is a definite strong like. It's 90% similar with the OG White Tea, it has a lot of lemon freshness in the opening and then it mends really nice with musk and a soft, gentle vanilla. As it dries down, the lemon dissipates, leaving behind the musky vanilla, not artificially sweet, but soft and pleasant. The longevity is pretty poor, but I don't mind since I use it in the summer heat, it really shines in higher temperatures. It's not offensive at all and it is very pleasant - I'd say this is a very good alternative for people who don't like overly fresh scents for summer or people that don't like their scents too sweet. It's somewhere in the middle and hey, it works!

white tea vanilla orchid, winter test, two sprays in wrist i have tried both this and the rose version. i did not get a 'ooh this smells like..." feel with this one. impressions: light citrus?? not sure slight sweet light vanilla flower-floral ish this had a feel of the original White TEa in the background the overall feel of this scent on my skin was more faint thatn the rose one, i think thats personal to me though, i have about the same lpongevity frim memory as the Original one, about 3 hours or so vanilla - non gourmand faint gentle sweet fresh fades quite a nice scent overall, do try it, this brand is good value

This is very pleasant. Comforting, not overly sweet, very good longevity. It’s not so unique for me to buy it but i would gladly accept it as a gift. This is the kind of fragrance you fall in love at the first sniff. I think it’s my favorite from this line. I tested it multiple times and i keep coming back to it. it’s specially nice in these cold winter days. I only wish the opening lasted a bit longer, it’s so pretty! I imagine a peaceful and warm-hearted woman wearing it. final note: 8,5/10

I have not tried the original, however, I do like this! It is perfect for Spring days, and I have received many compliments. Out of the last few perfumes I have tried (La Vie Est Belle, Angel, Miss Dior), this is a close tie with La Vie Est Belle en Rose as my favorite daytime perfume. It is much weaker than the ones I listed, but I do adore the notes, as they unfold from sweet to fresh green to musky. I wish it were stronger, but I will continue to wear it daily through Spring and Summer.

This green and light sweetness is in the same vein as Aqua Bella LaRive, which is itself a dupe of Aqua di Gioia. I don’t mean that they are dupes, but they speak the same language. They picture a drop of honeydew on a delightful fresh leaf. They are humble, clear, and absolutely great. Even somehow calming, smiling: they don’t strut out, they have a plebeian kindness. This is the type of scent a could wear everyday in summer. My personal little part of freedom in the early morning.

This is just lovely, and a crowdpleaser. No one would be offended by this one. At first spray this is a fresh tea-scent. And then the varm vanilla kicks in. But I'm a bit disappointed. After two hours, I have to stick my nose into my skin to detect any fragrance, and by that time, only a faint vanilla lingers around, but only as a skin-scent. I bought this in a 30 ml size, so the cost was minimal. I liked the scent, but for the performance, I would not repurchase.

This is a great gym fragrance in my opinion. To me it smells clean & fresh with a feminine touch. Not too sweet which is perfect for the gym/workout. I smell the white tea, citrus and then a light feminine touch which I guess is the vanilla & orchid although those two notes aren’t super distinctive to me. I really like this for a clean girl not over powering scent!! Would also be nice for bedtime.

Absolutely amazing. Smells natural and refined; when it starts out it's a bit too much like shower gel, but after a while it turns into a lovely tea and vanilla balance. Not sweet, but fresh. I have scents for similar occasions, but it's a good one for the price point.

Summer test, t shirt weather, showery day. Fresh, green/plant stems, vanilla not the sweet edible kind, has a smidge of sweetness in back up, florals are fresh, dewy, non specific. This isnt a loud scent, quite nice, it lasts severalhours, heasy to wear, to gift.

@aldi_mccartney: No, I don't think so. It's pleasant enough, but sits very close to the skin (no sillage), even from initial spray. It also doesn't smell that much different from the others in the line to make it worth hunting down/paying huge money for.

I have a 2ml sample. I used initially half but it is so weak on me, barely could smell anything.I added some extra and it's strong-ish when first sprayed, can smell the lemon, then really settles down and it's very subtle. Nice but weak. Pleasant if you want a touch of smell not too overpowering. Someone else said for bed time, and I agree, not a suffocating perfume, warm,calm, kinda attractive "bed time smell" :-) Not good enough for me to buy a full bottle though.

this one starts with quince, tea, orchid and vanilla. it remains mostly a quince and tea perfume on my skin. i don't get much of the deeper notes except a hint of orchid and vanilla. i am surprised quince isn't higher on the list, as it is very prominent on my skin. this one is interesting but like the other white tea scents, a bit sharp and headache inducing for me.
