Contrast to Monoi Vague D'ÉteYves Rocher: These are different, but there are similarities with gardenia & a fluffy, creamy white-floral. Monoi Vague D'Éte has a more coconut-y feel due to the Monoi oil (tahitian gardenia soaked in coconut. oil). Roughly equivalent performance. Contrast to Giorgio Giorgio Beverly Hills: These are different, but there are similarities with gardenia, tuberose, peach and a powdery, creamy white-floral. Giorgio is sharper with oakmoss and a more forward tuberose, but they get a bit more similar as they're drying down. Giorgio has a stronger performance. Contrast to Fracas Robert Piguet: Connoisseurs of white floral will find these very different. There are some similarities in the creamy & powdery tuberose heart. Both have excellent performance. Contrast to Red Door Elizabeth Arden: These have been compared but I find them different, but with some similarities in the creamy & powdery tuberose heart. Having gone through at least one bottle of Red Door back in the day as well as at least two of the red cubed body cream, it's more of a powdered sugar & perfume-y white floral from what I remember, and less about tiare or root-y vanilla. However, it's been awhile since I had my nose on it. Update 06/20/25: Sprayed this on today and wow! I forgot how good this was. I was looking for a fresh tuberose, but this is definitely more of a gardenia (although there's a bit of tuberose in there). Peach brings a nice sweetness, but it's really well blended. Fluffy, creamy, buttery, powdery, sweet gardenia goodness. Love it even more.

Dear readers, ♥ What can this emerald classy lady, she's a bewitching green enchantress that turns your aura into a gorgeous gold !. When I spritz this into the air, I was enchanted truly by the heavily green and sweet aroma embrace of this green lady cascading down upon my senses with kisses of sweet juicy tuberoses ,gardenias and all kinds of fabulous notes that just creates magic. Now the perfume on me, omg wow ! Well I must say that this is sure winner of the silver metal for the Elizabeth Taylor line, of course the gold winner will be forever White diamonds, but this Diamonds and Emerald sister, my chemistry and the perfume made a gorgeous marriage made in erotic heaven. I wont go into alot of details but lets say that this perfume of Diamond And Emeralds is Man caller and trap, (laughs). Without wanting it, this perfume green tuberose sweet enchantress called alot of men to me, flirting and throwing all sorts of game from the subtle to the down right pervy. So for me this perfume is definitely a lucky charm, because with this perfume I got cute stares, flirts, discount's guys all because I smell really good to them and they wanna meet up later even if i had a man already!?, this perfume is dangerous on me , so im definitely keeping this bewitching green lady in my collection. All I must say now that if you like and are compatible with sweet honey like florals and other mysterious musky ultra feminine scents and dont want to smell like a "little girl" or some cookie cutter basic woman scent, than try this elixir of botanical Hollywood magic , you be having all the hearts of mortals coming to you like hummingbirds to booming flower full of nectar . Beautiful gift and a lucky charm if the spirit of Diamonds and Emeralds blesses you with her powers !. Bravo to our diva Elizabeth Taylor and her crew for making this classic and gorgeous perfume that is sheer class !. Stunningly friendly floral that leans on purply sweet tuberose. Diamonds and Emeralds is heavenly. It’s just gorgeous and classic all the way through. Diamonds and Emeralds smells niche in that the opening is close to Queens by Bond No. 9. Diamonds and Emeralds is floral from beginning to end in a way that Queens isn’t, as Queens stays more abstract and unisex throughout. Diamonds and Emeralds warms up and rounds itself out beautifully on the skin, but unlike Queens, it doesn’t send urgent tuberose telegrams to everyone who gets within 50 feet. After the first few minutes, Diamonds and Emeralds moves on from the purplish splendor that is redolent of Queens and settles beautifully into a tuberose range that resembles the former glory of Fracas by Piguet. Unsurprisingly, the discontinued Truth or Dare by Madonna does come to mind, but Diamonds and Emeralds succeeds in remaining a floral beauty instead of turning into a fuzzy tuberose sweater like Truth or Dare. I reference the former glory of Fracas because Fracas has been reformulated into something that is not the same. Diamonds and Emeralds isn’t exactly vintage Fracas, but it is beautifully similar and not as powerfully musky as Fracas. But oh, the musks are beautiful in Diamonds and Emeralds. The hint of vanilla in Diamonds and Emeralds keeps the composition inviting rather than turning it into a gourmand. The fruits are sweet. Indolic or animalic moments can likely be attributed to orange blossom. Carnation and jasmine keep Diamonds and Emeralds interesting. It’s all so well blended that the composition succeeds in transcending the combination of the individual notes. It’s refreshingly nonlinear, and the sillage is moderate but pervasive. It has beauty without being a sillage beast. Its beauty doesn’t have to scream to be heard. Diamonds and Emeralds reads friendly and gorgeous, and the quality for the price point is just astonishing. Marvelous.

If you want to know what the hype is all about with any vintage fragrance (any scent that came onto the market pre-IFRA, so about 2008), you're going to have to get a vintage bottle. This is especially true for any perfumes released before 2000. Those perfumes back then were made with big budgets, even those intended for the mass market. Along with those big budgets, they often had top noses and amazing ingredients. The reformulations in 2026 often pale in comparison because they had to remove oakmoss, the actual rose, civet, and ambergris, just to name a few of the headlining ingredients that formed the skeleton for many of those big perfumes. This is especially true for any of the fragrances that carried the name of Elizabeth Taylor. A lot of money went into the formulation of her perfumes, and she had enough star power to command the best in terms of perfume noses. Original Passions is the most amazing dark purple incense brew. The modern reformulation of Passions is a powdery vanilla. Original Diamonds and Emeralds is a quirky aquatic floral similar to Hermes Sur le Nil. The modern reformulation of D&E is a synthetic tropical Glade. Original Diamonds and Rubies, a warm, spicy, milky carnation. The modern reformulation of D&R is a watered-down, spiced floral. All of the Stone perfumes--Diamonds and Rubies, Diamonds and Emeralds, and Diamonds and Sapphires were made by master nose, Sophie Grosjman. The perfumer of White Diamonds was Carlos Benaim I mean, these were not some cheapie cast-off throw-away scents, and they all had major cultural impact when they were first dropped. If you really want to know them, head over to eBay and get a mini vintage bottle at least. Then you can either criticize them or sing their praises ...properly.

A lovely scent for women who like pretty things. It reminds me of "Beautiful" by Elizabeth Arden in that it is a rich bouquet of floral notes, but in my opinion this is a more well-balanced scent (and thus I like it more than Beautiful.) It opens very sweetly with peach but this is fleeting and gives way to gardenia, hyacinth, and orange blossom; there might be a bit of apricot, but it is very subdued and seems to be a very quiet supporting player to the floral leads. The tuberose is quite strong. The ambery base appeals to me. It lacks any harsh musk (musk might be present but it isn't that overbearing harsh stuff of the 1970s) With the wild sweet opening that brings to mind violets I could see how Elizabeth Taylor would bring this forth as one of her lineup of fragrances. Younger fragrance wearers might see this as old-fashioned, and compared to a fresh fragrance of today, I suppose it is. I prefer to think of it as classic and just as there is room for hip hop and pop in music; there is also room for grand opera. This is grand opera. A little of this romantic fragrance goes a long way; this could be overpowering in an elevator or small office. I find it quite long-lasting (6 hrs at least) and I have edited this to note the peach that I did not recognize upon the first wearing. I mentioned Beautiful, but I can also see why people liken it to Revlon's Fire & Ice, but where (in my opinion) the notes in that leap and fall much like flames, Diamonds and Emeralds expands, holds very steady, and then fades to an eventual whisper. I'll wear it most often in the evening and during the fall, winter, and spring.

I own all 3 of the flankers, and this is my second favorite in the lineup. Maybe it's just me, but I have never come across a fragrance with a peach note that has ever smelled like an actual fresh peach. Peach in fragrances tends to have a syrupy kind of smell to them, far too sweet. If you've ever opened a bag of Haribo gummy peach candy, you'll know what I'm talking about, the smell of sweet syrupy peach. It's pervasive in Elizabeth Taylor''s Violet Eyes. When I first sprayed this one on my skin, there was something very harsh about it. It made my face pucker up. That aside, I didn't immediately dislike it. Once it opened up, I could really detect the Gardenia, Lilly of the Valley, and Tuberose. Make no mistake, this is a big white floral beast. I would not classify Diamonds and Emerald as a 'soft' sent. It unapologetically hits you right between the eyes with all of its Gardenia and Tuberose glory. Once the base notes open up, you are left with a powdery sweet gardenia/tuberose scent. In terms of sillage, this one is a beast. I'm frankly surprised this is an EDT, as this lasts on me for 6 plus hours. In terms of blind buying, If you like big white floral tuberose types of scents, think Michael Kors Micheal Kors you'll most likely love Diamonds and Emeralds. I think this is a sexy kind of scent. It has almost a carnal vibe. Whenever I wear this one out, I get tons of compliments(mostly from men). . It's beautifully sweet and animalic. I could easily see Elizabeth Taylor wearing this one. In my opinion, this is really a quality scent at a drug store price.

I tried White Diamonds and it agreed with my chemistry. I enjoy scents I can smell on myself that waft and linger and that I don't have to reapply. So, I wanted to try more of the "Diamonds" line I haven't yet, specifically, the Emerald Queen. I ordered it for dirt cheap off of a discount website and it was in my hands within three days. I spritzed three generous sprays on my arm and the back of my neck last night before just lounging around the house. My husband LOVES this. If you don't like gardenia, white flowers of most types, magnolia or peachy/apricot scents, stay far, far away. If you enjoy big heady 80's like perfumes that aren’t afraid to make a statement, you may enjoy this. I do think it’s a bit synthetic smelling...it most certainly is not a Guerlain, but I’m impressed with the quality for the price tag, and the longevity. It smells similar to Paul Sebastian's Design; also a big fruity white floral. I think that heat would make this perfume stifling and oppressive, so Springtime feels like the best time to pull this one out. As another reviewer so well mentioned, it hints at something warm to come...a reminder Summer is around the corner type of scent. This also has a tiny that vanilla note that shows up as warmth. Tonight I am going to wear this out in a small amount layered over Bath & Body Works Vanilla Noir lotion. I think will work perfectly w/Emerald. If you like Sand & Sable by Coty, Michael, by Michael Kors, or Radiance by Britney Spears you may enjoy this. xx

This is a lush indolic white floral garden. I wonder if Elizabeth told the perfumer to create the smell of a Posh Hollywood Movie stars home garden. These white gardenias, tuberoses, jasmines are at the peak of bloom, almost at the point of going off but not just yet. They are at the perfect day, the highest point of their brief life, that point of perfection in their bloom. This is animalic, white floral heaven! I cannot believe these perfumes cost so little! I am kicking myself! I will never be w/out any of these again and I am ordering more of her perfumes post haste! Edit: 1/14/23 I have the eau de parfum and toilette version of this and there are slightly different. In the eau de parfum the sage is much more noticeable and give the perfume an herbal quality that is lacking in the toilette version. Also, the carnation is more pronounced in the perfume version giving a dusty spiciness. Both versions are very beautiful, and I layer them together. I also love the emeralds around the bottle on the parfum version. I wish they would bring back the fancy bottles. These perfumes are just so stunning. Elizabeth Taylor had such an earthy sensual nature. She really knew what was sexy and womanly. In all her perfumes she pushes the boundaries in a classy way, right up to the edge of being hedonistic. But oh, the decadence, luxury and indulgence. This is what perfumery is lacking today. The decadence, luxury and indulgent sensuality.

Lately I decided to get acquainted with some Elizabeth Taylor perfumes as long as they are still available. Diamonds and Emeralds was one of my blind purchases following long and careful reading and researching. This scent reminds me to Truth or Dare, another celebrity scent big on tuberose and gardenia. But while ToD moves milky and creamy, here the peach and apricot is always present and adds a juicy quality. After spraying, the fruits form an almost metallic note which soon smooths out. This is a fresh fruit and floral mix, easygoing and smells like spring to me. I will love spraying it during springtime, into summer. When I began reading about fragrances I was shocked to realize that the aggressive, sharp sweet juices I smelled so often belonged to the fruity floral category, and are widely considered fresh, uplifting and summery. In which universe, I kept thinking. And I thought that if these kind of scents are what mixing flowers and fruits can produce, I would do much better, despite having zero fragrant education. Now I see that Sophia Grojsman also created something much better than how fruity florals usually smell. It is a little bit sharp, but only to make it zesty, and it doesn't have that aggressive, unbalanced sweetness. I wish ET perfumes stayed with us longer.

Omg.. Where has this perf been all my life??? Long-long time ago I bought this and Diamonds and Sapphires in a set each, dirt cheap. They were Xmas pressies to my then boyfriend's mum and older sister - they were around 25 euros each and I was in a rush, didn't even try, just paid, got them wrapped and off I went on my way. The shop-assistant assured me that they're "quality" and "great value" and they'll make perfect presents. AND SHE WAS ACTUALLY RIGHT - they were both genuinely delighted! Then a few years later I came accross Diamonds and Sapphires somewhere and blind bought it - again. Oh boy, it was delightful! But this only came my way now, as a cheap marketplace buy. It's not overpowering, as it's an edt. I get mainly gardenia, tuberose, a bit of carnation and mostly the florals with soft peach and apricot notes. Orange flower and citrus also noticable, so is amber - all in all it's a perfectly composed floral; vintage but in a good way - not cloying, not heavy. I would imagine this would still impress the older generation more, as it's not a fruitchouli or candy scent. It's a light, but mature floral really. I can't decide which I like better, this or Diamonds and Sapphires.. I think I feel really fortunate I found both of them.. 💖

I see the review below claiming that White Diamonds, Rubies, Emeralds, and Sapphires "smell pretty much exactly like each other." Clearly, the neurological effects of eating Tide Pods are remarkable. Anyway, this beauty is my personal favorite of the jewel collection. Diamonds and Emeralds is for the glamorous, old money aunt who arrives at the event early, starts on the peach bellinis, and tells inappropriate stories at the open bar. And of course, everyone loves her for it. Yes, it's a whole vibe. This isn't a polite, whispery fresh scent (God forbid). It is a syrupy bomb of gardenia, apricot, and peach. It smells like overripe fruit sitting in the hot sun next to a vase of tuberoses. Or more accurately, it smells like a sticky, golden liqueur that you shouldn't drink before dark. It is lush, unapologetic, and has absolutely ZERO chill. Wearing this makes me feel like I’m Ouiser Boudreaux wearing a wide-brimmed hat and judging everyone in the room. It’s a LOT, and I absolutely love it. FYI: This isn't a BEAST like White Diamonds EDT. Sillage, projection, and longevity are all moderate at most. But then again, no one but a masochist wants a BEAST mode, syrupy bomb.

This is such a sneak attack! Emeralds is nothing like White Diamonds! The fragrance opens just as chaotic as White Diamonds does... heavy, knock-out white florals. Just as I was starting to get disappointed, all of a sudden, a juicy, succulent fruit note rose through the roaring white florals. It was then and there that I resprayed Emeralds again. I absolutely love this thing! And it's so cheap! I got 50ml for $8! This is such a nice, modern fragrance when you consider what year it was released. This is the perfect segue for someone trying to move on from fruity scents into floral scents. To accurately sum up Diamonds & Emeralds, it's a bright combo of white florals and peach/apricot fruit. If you like Fracas or Madonna Truth or Dare, you might like this. It's sweeter and fruitier where as the other two are more creamier. This sounds cliche, but I will never be without a bottle of this. I've already gone through 2/3 of my bottle. It's just such a fresh, nice fragrance. This was brought to my attention thanks to Miguel Matos for the "Shopping Challenge: Fruity Fragrances Under $25/€25." Mr. Matos has very refined tastes, I knew I could trust his recommendation.

Review for the vintage pure parfum: As I actively despise the eau de toilette, the parfum provided a more full and less synthetic look into the jewels and precious stones of Ms. Taylor. I've begun to realise that I absolutely adore tuberose scents by going through some of my favourites and discovering that almost all of them star the beautiful, creamy white flower. Diamonds & Emeralds is not, as the title suggests, a green floral but instead fruity, creamy delicious white & yellow floral. This appears to also have melon, although its not listed in the notes. Also, lily of the valley is much more noticeable in the parfum than the EDT. The edt is a mess, the parfum is well constructed and seems to hit each note perfectly as they come. One could not even place the modern edt on top of the vintage parfum, it would destroy it. This has the quality of a natural perfume, or even a top vintage designer scent. I only have the 3.7mL but that might be all I really need because it lasts eons. Truly a masterpiece.

If this is a heavy and sweet perfume ..... then the "wonderful" la vie est belle what is it? I can't call E. Taylor a feminist personality ... but whoever made this perfume had in mind a strong and unique woman, is a perfume with a warm aura but like the suit it is cold and sober. Whoever likes 5th avenue can't help but love this perfume because tuberose is just as beautifully crafted. Put this perfume on an 80-90 type jacket and you no longer need jewelry. Yes, there is a lot of tuberosis and Lily of the Valley but they are combined very nicely with peach and something spicy possibly anise.Over the first base comes the carnation with tuberose, hyacinth magnolia and sage. The finish is a light and floral vanilla like the on from the Avenue. Jasmine feels very little and disappears quite quickly. I'm not a fan of jasmine if it's not well mixed It causes me headaches, but it's not the case here, it's not toxic, and you can't feel it anyway if you're not very concentrated.

This has overtaken Diamonds & Rubies in my affections and I felt compelled today to add my review. Diamonds and Emeralds is such a stand-out, well blended, genuinely beautiful fragrance. A bold and heady floral with dominant gardenia and hyacinth for the first hour or so of wear, mellowing only slightly after several hours and allowing a shy rose and a peep of carnation to creep in. For me, though, fruit is the real star of this show. A luscious, just-ripe peach on first blast, with an intense sweetness followed by a kick of juicy tartness. This stage is so bright its dazzling, like opening the curtains to glorious sunshine - I adore Diamonds and Emeralds just for this bit! The dry down is a dream, too. A cosy, creamy apricot, well-behaved tuberose and the merest hint of vanilla. Sits close to the skin and lasts for hours. It is just beautiful. A fruity floral that can claim pure class and elegance. Sophia Grojsman's name is all over this. It has to be.

Diamonds and Emeralds is a very nice offering from Elizabeth Taylor. It was sweeter than I expected it to be, although not a candied sweetness. Certainly rich in apricot (which I smell predominately) followed by narcotic white flowers. All the adjectives along the lines of rich, creamy, full, fit this fragrance. As per usual with Elizabeth Taylor's offerings, you get much more than the price you paid. This is somewhere mid-way between Tresor and Chloe Narcisse, both of which I adore, without quite smelling like either one of them. I have not smelled Fracas or ToD or Kim Kardashian, so I cannot give a review based around any of those fragrances. This would be a safe blind buy if you already know the notes and combos you like and you like rich, heady perfumes. If you prefer lighter perfumes, I would recommend testing first, although as has been mentioned, this is inexpensive enough that an unsuccessful blind buy would not be wallet breaking.

I almost hated this because I caught a glimpse of White Diamond and I hate WD. I let it rest on my skin and just have to say this compliments my chemistry so perfectly. My skin enhances already sweet scents. Most perfumes turn on my skin. Sweets turn to scorched chocolate or burnt sugar and high end perfumes are no exception with the same ingredients especially like guava or coconut or freaking flowerbomb yuck!. The magnolia flourishes to say it’s there but not like an old lady. The patchouli transcends gently not a patch-bomb but the most surprising note is the sage. It’s so lovely. The SAGE smells sweet yet herbish like a green Christmas candle. I don’t know how it smells so beautiful on me but the bottle on its own stinks. I’m so glad I allowed it on my skin. I know it’s not sweet to most but on me it’s perfect. Not too sweet and not at all overly floral. But it for the sage. It adds interesting niche kind of scent.

Geeze this is one sexy fragrance if worn correctly (just a couple of sprays). I bought it blindly due to the reviews on here and many of the notes which appeared to be to my taste and wow I am blown away this is deliciously tropical but classy and timeless a really beautiful perfume. Lots of gardenia and tuberose. If you shy away from this due to the fear of it being White Diamonds do not fear - this is more of a modern juice based around tuberose but with lots of fruity accords to stop it from being too dated - think creamy rhubarb custard crumble, coconutty goodness and lots of other delicious notes. Though personally I am a big fan of white diamonds and this does share some of the sparkling base notes but only very slightly. Gives a tropical vibe. This does tend to become a bit syrupy on me in warmer weather and I find it almost narcotic. Irresistible bargain scent which gets me many compliments.

I received it the other day, and I am already in love and totally addicted. I'd say this is my best blind buy ever. EDT? Not really - it has the sillage and longevity of an EDP. Only 2-3 sprays, and it lingers on me for the whole evening. It's a floral mix, but def not a summer scent, not for everyday use, and not an office-friendly one. It's rich, warm, sensual, and radiating quiet confidence. It will not go unnoticed, and yet it's not edgy or screaming for attention. Complex and developing over time, and yet perfectly balanced. This is exactly the type of scent I associate with Elizabeth Taylor - classic retro style beauty, mesmerising, mysterious, elegant, timeless. Signature worthy. With its luxurious design and packaging, it's great for a gift for a confident, sophisticated, mature lady who loves white florals. Absolute masterpiece at a very affordable price.

I absolutely fell in love with this at first sniff.Gorgeous and unique. But I am one of those unlucky ones who has a bit of a problem with scents sticking around on me for some reason. Some have said D&E doesn't last as long as they'd like. I have found a solution I'd like to share that might work for you as it has for me. I spritz White Diamonds on first, not too much, you want to be able to have the D&E stand out of course. Let the White Diamonds settle for about 15 minutes or so. Then spritz the D&E on top of where you sprayed the White Diamonds. Spray what you'd usually use. Or a bit more. Or if you are like me, a lot! I have found that doing this makes the D&E last quite a bit actually much longer than it would by itself. Really happy I tried this because I love D&E so much! I feel like Queen for a Day when I wear it!

What a fabulous deep scent!!! Fantastic composition of sweet flowers,vanilla,tonka and fruits. This is an seductive, attractive and powerful perfume,.....amazing Sex apelle! MUST HAVE! I have an EDT and therefore is not so strong, but stays long on my skin anyway. Must say that I apply it generously. And probably you won't believe, but it has something,... some notes (when dries down).. it reminds somehowe of Tierry Mugler Womanity. Update review I't very cold outside today and I'm wearing this beautiful fragrance today. It's really great! So warm and misterious sweet. I'm in the middle of this cloud of fantastic smell .....wooow it's so nice, I think I could eat it. Today I adooooore this smell! And honestly the more I wear it the more I love it.

Absolutely love this one, an excellent blind buy that punches above its weight price-wise. Starts off with a blast of aggressive white floral that calms down into something sweet and floral yet cozy. It's a very well rounded composition that reveals a super nice musky patchouli base after a few hours on my skin, with a decidedly vintage vibe. Its less grandma than auntie, the kind who always comes bearing gifts and tells you wild stories that may or may not be true. I almost put this in my read-to-swap/giveaway pile. I then decided to re-think that decision because the ET bottles are so chic. They really have nice old school heft to them. This is Estee Lauder Spellbound lite for the spring and summer. I love it. It opens with a full on lotus in the mud vegetal scent that dies down into the fullness of gardenia, rose, peaches, apricot, and slight hints of tuberose. It's soft, sweet, and very grown up candy. Very luscious for spring. I may have to pick up a back up bottle simply because it's cheap as chips, yet smells quite expensive and these perfume companies love to reformulate things.

i'm really not beating the old lady allegations from my mother between this perfume and my ugly sweaters. not to mention my carnival glass collection. anyway. i do not have a nose sophisticated enough to pick up individual notes very well, but there's something about this scent i adore. does it smell like bug spray on first encounter? yes. but it dries down to something clean and comforting. i feel like i smell more trustworthy with this perfume. like i could be a therapist from the 80's. i probably won't catch any guys from raw sex appeal with it, but this scent makes ME happy. and that's what's most important.

This is my favorite of the Diamonds &... line. Yes! Grapey tuberose, peach, spicy carnations with a tiny hint of sage. I. AM. SHOOK. vanilla. Sexy musk. Today is a cold, rainy March day, and the lilies in Diamonds & Emeralds are whispering the promise of Easter, Spring, and longer days on the way. Fresh floral with a bit of green herbal twist, underpinned with juicy realistic peach, and cozy warm/powdery vanilla-amber musk. Better on skin. *Review of vintage .5oz eau de parfum concentration spray. I will search out and will buy another, hopefully bigger bottle, when this is gone. Nothing to complain about here!

I can’t be happier with this fragrance. It was a blind buy based off a recommendation from a person whose taste in perfume I trust. I’m delighted by how unique and gorgeous the smell is. The fresh, dewy gardenia with the fruit and hyacinth make a heady, intriguing scent. When I smell this I’m in a lush, green hot house surrounded by exotic plants and flowers. It’s romantic, nostalgic, mysterious, and magical. There’s a potent mood here, that’s out of the ordinary. So for this reason I can’t wear it everyday. It’s a masterpiece- and for the price! It’s a big yes from me!

This is a really beautiful fragrance. The gardenia in the scent is fantastic as it isn't over powering like most gardenia scents. It has a lovely vanilla and powder dry down with the gardenia peaking through a bit. I can't believe I let the ET diamond fragrance line slip by me back in the day when I worked in the industry. I remember when passion was introduced and I hated it because it reminded me of youth dew and I despised that fragrance so I just passed on all the other ET fragrances when they came out. Glad I gave them a try. I will be adding more to my collection.

2nd review: Tuberose honey. The first rush of notes includes a halo of white flowers, but at the center of this composition is the olfactory abstract expressionism of a sensual tuberose honey, and there’s nothing in the world like it. It’s somewhat musky, but it’s still clean. The tonka bean helps to tame and smooth any musky notes. The patchouli is just a whisper. The grapey side of tuberose is here. But there’s something greater than the sum of all the notes. It’s tuberose honey. It’s good for day or night. It’s astonishing, and it’s too good to be without.

Omg!!! This is a dream come true for me! Its in the 80s fahrenheit and this is a gorgeous sweet creamy bubble gum fragrance!!! Ohhh the trail is divine, this is everything I've ever wanted in a fragrance plus more! I dislike patchouli very very much but there's no trace of it in this it works so well to just give it a lift, peach doesnt blend well with my skin but in this its all blended just right and it is magical!!! I wish it performed like this in all weather! I had no idea what a beauty this would be in some sultry summer heat 💗💗💗 i am sooooo in love😍

Diamonds and Emeralds begins as a creamy soup of a myriad of flowers. If you're not into a prominence of florals. walk away from this perfume. If you are, step into a heavenly delight. This is a fragrance that needs to be either sprayed lightly on your wrists, sprayed in the air and walked through or sprayed on a cotton ball and dabbed. To me this proves that you don't have to spend a fortune to smell terrific. There is something very ladylike about it. It reminds me afternoon high tea. But do be careful when you spray it, because it is rather heavy.

White flowers, most prominently to me being bubblegum tuberose, followed by gardenia. Sweet fruits, then great vanilla, a little rose and some patch to pull it together. Nothing animalic, though some may find the heavy white florals indolic. Personally, I love how this smells so rich, complex and feminine. Very much from a previous decade, yet it smells perfect in this one, especially since tuberose seems to be making a comeback. Many of Elizabeth Taylors scents are tuberose laden, so try the others. Great treasures for incredibly low prices!

I get chocolate, garbage melon, and stanky tuberose, I think I love it? Edit: nope, I hate it. Try Paul Sebastian Design and Anne Klein if you like this one (I personally find Diamonds and Emeralds the most tolerable of the three, but none of the three are agreeable to me; they're headache and nausea inducing.) Tuberose and civet with cassis. Hard pass for me, though. I tried because I love Elizabeth Taylor and have had great luck with a few of her scents. But not D&E, sadly. edit: see subsequent reviews I have changed my mind again lol

Really love this. Owned it for a few weeks now and keep consistently reaching for it. Lovely white floral with peach and apricot notes that are strong in a fresh juicy way. Has a very slight greenness to it. Sometimes it smells more floral and then other times more of the peach and apricot. Lasts incredibly well, at least 8 hours and up to 12 hours. Update after owning for over a month, within the past few days I've noticed the dry down is now suddenly becoming a very strong vanilla amber scent! Very strange how this suddenly happened.

Possibly my favourite in the line, a decadent and classy fragrance. I'd just like to point out that I have a bottle from 2000 and one from 2023, I can detect no difference, how refreshing. Lots of gardenia and tuberose, as the name suggests, this has very prominent green notes, and they are ever present. After a slightly sweet opening, I'd say it becomes quite linear, with that slightly green, tuberose and gardenia mix lasting for hours. Performance is excellent, it lasts and projects. The bottle is a real thing of beauty.

Gardenia is definitely the dominant note in this fragrance, it's creamy and smooth, and relatively light. The opening is a little more potent, with strong fruity notes, peach and nectarine, the gardenia soon dominates, in the very late dry down it's vanilla and musk that I get. It's very nice, very subtle. I think her other fragrances are a bit heavier, but this one lasts very well. It's terrific value, the atomiser is excellent, even if the bottle looks cheap compared to vintage bottles.

I've done a complete 180 on this. Again. My previous review has me laughing! Not sure what happened but I love this now (anne klein & paul Sebastian too 🤣) I don't get melon anymore. Just humid gardenia and tuberose + peach & patchouli. Very beautiful. I started liking gardenia and tuberose this winter after trying and loving KKW Opal Energy. I've had this phenomenon happen with grapefruit and freesia. That is part of the fun of this hobby. The nose matures with your interests!

So I blind bought this just now, right after blind buying Diamonds and Rubies and that went well! I have heard many of you say that Diamonds and Emeralds is one of the favorites, so I do trust my fellow perfume lovers! Diamonds and Emeralds is animalic, with a darker fruit resonance and the signature Amber I smell in all of these lovely distinctive fragrances. I feel like I got a shot of Cola candy in the first blast! But this is refined and I quite love it. God Bless!

Ok, I think I can now say I am slightly obsessed with Elizabeth Taylor's perfumes! My first perfume of hers that I bought was Passion which I LOVE, then I bought Diamonds and Emeralds which is totally different but again I love it! It is a sumptuous floral assortment and I love how the gardenia shines through because I adore gardenias! I really love the dry down as well and only wish it were a tad stronger like Passion, but again, this is a winner all day long.

I had forgotten how glorious this scent is- every summer I bring out the opulent florals- they cut through heat & humidity like nothing else. Like swedishmilk15’s comment below- your nose really does evolve over time- somehow I used to get the fruity peachy notes but now it’s fluffy, powdery tuberose & gardenia. I’m shocked by how well this holds up- D&E, D&R and D&S are easily in my top 10 best value for the price perfumes!

To be honest, I can't really pick out the notes in Diamonds and Emeralds except for maybe peach and tuberose. I can remember the first time I smelled it in a magazine. I rubbed it on my wrist and fell in love with it instantly! I wore this in the early 90's and just recently purchased another bottle. It is really strong, I have to apply it with a light hand. In my opinion, this is one of Elizabeth Taylor's best fragrances!

Sprayed this on today and wow! I forgot how good this was. I was looking for a fresh tuberose, but this is definitely more of a gardenia (although there's a bit of tuberose in there), albeit a sweeter gardenia than Gardenia Elizabeth Taylor. Peach brings a nice sweetness, but it's really well blended. Fluffy, creamy, buttery, powdery, sweet gardenia goodness. Love it even more. Original review 04/08/23.

I own over 100 fragrances and I can honestly say that ET Diamonds and Emeralds is one of my favorites of all time. If you are a big fan of gardenia and tuberose then you will absolutely love this. D&E is also a crisp, fresh peach scent. From the initial spray to the dry down, it is perfect in every way. It's impossible to not feel confident and beautiful when I wear this scent. :)

This is beautiful and soft. I love gardenia. I've been having a hard time finding one that last long and was super heavy. I wish this was stronger. It's so light. I purchased her other gardenia fragrance as well and it's light on me. I wish it lasted a little longer. Going to have to layer it. But this is a beautiful everyday fragrance to wear out or to work.

My Favourite in the diamonds line. It smells very 80s with the heavy florals but not indolic at all. This is chock full of synthetics but manages to pull off smelling at least a little expensive despite being dirt cheap lol. Overall a winner in my book. If you’ve never tried it I highly recommend. And it cost like 30 bucks. So like, what have you got to lose?

This is an absolutely outstanding Fragrance. Penhaligans Tuberose & Gardenia is £205. I bought this bottle of Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds and Emeralds for £11.99 for 100ml. They smell exactly the same. This would make a wonderful gift. Classy, feminine, high quality, beautiful packaging and bottle. I absolutely love this Fragrance. Highly recommended.

During Covid, I've been sampling a lot of perfumes having fun writing reviews on this site. One of my very favorite fragrances that I have discovered this year is Elizabeth Taylor's Emeralds and Diamonds. Oh my GOSH! Wow! Love the freshness of this and the way that the notes dance above the skin! This is really fresh, lively, and beautiful!

The 4 gem perfumes are not that similar to each other, I completely disagree with the reviewer before me. But don't trust us, try it yourself and decide; it's an affordable risk if you like gardenia and tuberose. p.s. I find the patchouli strong in this (& I'm kind of anosmic to patch) I'm surprised reviews don't mention it more often.

This is so easy to wear for me, very feminine, flowery, slightly fruity, sweet, rich, but gentle. WHile Gardenia is crispy and more clearly floral, this one is deeper, more complex and perfect for all season and all ocassion. I'm not sure which is my favourite ET perfume yet but it possibly will be this one.

Has the exactly the same vibe, as the sadly discontinued Madonnas truth or dare ... Gardenia, lily-of-the-valley, jasmin and almost bubblegum like tuberose. Super flowery, feminine and early spring-like. Not an every day scent for me, but I enjoy much when I wear. Long lasting and massive silage.
