Forever Elizabeth

As I've stated in other reviews I'm a very decisive person and my taste of fragrances rarely changes. I do however...(just in case that happens)...keep fragrances around for years and give them MANY tries in diff seasons and times in my life. This perfume I originally bought years ago. Probably somewhere between 2011 and 2013. I never liked it. I don't know why but very simply put...I just didn't like it. No specific note was to blame at the time, I just didn't like it's aroma. Fast forward to March of 2021 and I have been slowly but surely going through my 400+ bottle collection and getting out old fragrances I hadn't liked in the past or tried in a long while just to see if I've had any change of heart. And low & behold...this happens to be one of the exceptions to my "I rarely change my mind" characteristic. I actually really like this one now. It's somewhere between a strong like and a love so I voted above with a "love." Not only that but I'm currently wearing this as I'm writing this (I'm at work at the moment shortly before lunch)...and two co workers stronglyyyy complimented me on this one within the first hour of my work day this morning. There is a VERY subtle woody accord but I mostly get a delicious apple note at the forefront and those beautiful florals dancing around with it. I really like this one...highly recommend for spring. It's a beautiful warm weather, sunny day type of perfume. Happy, cheerful, playful, just easy to wear to the max. To me...Elizabeth Taylor perfumes are very love or hate for me. I don't think I've smelled one that I just felt "meh" about. I either despise them or love them. But lucky for me this one has jumped from one end of the spectrum to the other lol. Which again...is rare for me. Longevity - About 4 hours. Projection - Actually quite strong at first. A good 5-6 feet if you use a generous amount. Then tapers in closer after about 2 hours to a more intimate projection. Overall Score - 8.5/10. Also to note :: Just look at that price!! So cheap and such a beautiful apple-ey, floral perfume. Simple, but beautiful...just like the presentation and bottle.

Hm, how can I put my thoughts on Forever Elizabeth? Well, I think the best way is this: if the Vestal virgins of ancient Rome ever wore a perfume, it might as well be this. There's something very delicate and virginal about this. It entices you with its delicate beauty and purity yet it remained aloof and discreet. It's the scent that trails behind them as they pass through a crowd of Roman citizens that bowed reverently to them. Yes, this is a scent that commands respect. Respect for things that are beautiful, untouchable, and out of this world. I feel a tantalizing sense of unattainablity when I wear this. It works as a green fruity floral on me with the floral and fruity nuances intertwined like a fine Chantilly lace. Sometimes you noticed the other more, but both are definitely present. The only downside is the short longevity. Even my City Rush from Avon far outlast this and given Avon's notorious reputation on the longevity department, that's such a shame for the ET line! But luckily I got the 3.4oz bottle so I can just spray myself away! My second ET fragrance after Diamonds and Emeralds and the best of the 2. Funny thing about this is that I always wanted to purchase it but always got distracted with something else, and when I set my mind on it, it always sold out at my local Elizabeth Arden counter! Even funnier (or ironic, take your pick) is that I finally got it for my birthday present today! So maybe Forever Elizabeth and I are meant to be after all, LOL!

I've owned Forever Elizabeth for some time now. I have so many perfumes that some get an initial test and then get "lost". This is one of them. There's something very peachy about this scent to me - there's no actual peach note, which surprised me a little. Usually I can pick out apple very easily in perfumes and I wouldn't have guessed it was in here until I actually looked at the notes. Of all of Elizabeth Taylor's perfumes I believe Forever Elizabeth is my favorite. It's a very juicy floral if that makes sense. More on the floral side of the fruity-floral spectrum, for sure, but it's not screechy or dowdy smelling. I am a lover of floral fragrances, white florals in particular, and DH often says that my perfumes smell "old". This is one of the few floral dominant scents I have worn that he's appreciated. It's clean, feminine, and crowd pleasing, but I don't find it overly generic. I actually don't think it smells much like Arden Beauty, which I also own. AB has that rubarb note that makes the perfume a little more sour, and I much prefer Forever Elizabeth. I'm glad to have rediscovered this scent and I think it will get lots of wear from me in the last few weeks of summer. :)

Forever Elizabeth is really lovely! It's been really growing on me lately as a mood-lifter. This is not some over-sweetened, characterless, celeb cheapie. In the first 30 seconds I can totally picture a wild brambly overgrown crabapple bush in a sunny, overgrown field. Very green and a woodsy note mixed with the clove bite and blackberry gives it an interesting fresh, crisp character in addition to the lush, soft florals and green apple. Violet/rose and creamy tiare flowers soften the heart and it all just blends so pleasantly. This one is safe, beautiful, and a crowd pleaser. It's got a tart apple, but it's also sweet and juicy, and the gentle floral notes and green notes make this a winning combo. Later you get a white musk/slightly soapy dry-down that holds its character throughout. Good longevity. I find this scent to be crisp and energizing, clean and happy. I can see the references to a nice fresh shampoo scent but more complex! I think I'll probably wear it more in spring and summer, or maybe to part those winter clouds a little. P.S. If you like this perfume, try Violet Eyes, my other E. T. Favorite. They are different from one another, but very very pretty sisters.

A clean, subtle apple scent, with fewer of the powdery powerhouse vibes in many ET fragrances. I would say Forever Elizabeth is most like Violet Eyes, a soft floral musk, only there's more fruit and "green" in Forever Elizabeth and less cedar and powder. I really like them both, but these don't project nearly as far as most of the ET fragrances, so I could see them disappointing fragrance fans who prioritize bang for the buck. I do discern something a bit bubblegummy that smells like tuberose to me rather than the jasmine I was expecting (possibly the combination of rose, Egyptian jasmine, and tiare?). I don't mind it, whatever it is; the bubblegum note is certainly more unexpected. Update: I'm getting the comparisons to Pleasures. I might share some of this with my MIL, who is a huge Pleasures fan. This might be fun to alternate, so she doesn't get noseblind to her "signature scent." Also, for what it's worth, this is my favorite bottle of the line after the glorious bottle for Gardenia, which is one of my all-time favorite bottles ever, not to mention one of the best bargains in fragrance history.

Happy, green leafy fruity floral here, with really decent longevity! Smells like nothing else in my experience. I have a big, fat, beautiful iridescent bottle now, upgraded from a tiny bottle which was clearly not going to be enough of this juice. I get the impression of sparkling green leaves in the sun! Flowers are underneath it but the tart green leaf/stem accord is present throughout! Whatever the actual notes are, this is the image this scent gives me. The florals lift it and give it a soft creamy texture. I’m putting this in the same happy, anyone, anywhere category as another classic fruity floral Amor Amor by Cacherel. Not the same scent, but same vibe, though this is more green, less sweet. I wish there was a body wash and lotion of this! Disclaimer: I am not a fan of most ET perfumes! This is definitely a different style than the White Diamonds type of fragrance. Much lighter. If you don’t like light, fresh, clean fruity shampoo-type scents this might not be for you. This and Violet Eyes are youthful, lighter members of the ET line. Inexpensive, cheerful, signature worthy scent for anyone.

Dame Elizabeth was very hands on with all facets of her life. She got what she wanted & she wanted this fragrance. Ah, the jewel that parfum devotees should have in regular rotation. Whatever your day holds the 🍊, 🍏 & blackberries are there playing like friends with the welcoming, warm purity of the tiare flower. Fresh, crisp & inviting. Not funky powdery. Bright & cheerful.😁 I get many compliments. It could never be cloying. This is office friendly. Safe blind buy. Forever E is deliciously decadent when the soft musk flirts with the amber & other notes dancing in between. This is not an "aging Grandma" scent. This is a forever young & vibrant let's have fun scent. This can be what YOU want it to be. Run with it!😉 Projection is close with moderate sillage. If it were stronger, the temptation would be lost. I spray twice a day to lift my mood. Her physical beauty was transcended only by her internal beauty and love for the ones closest to her. I can see Dame Elizabeth sipping tea on her terrace relaxing poolside, enveloped by the lovely scents of her favorite flowers.

I bought this 'blind' on Ebay (along with some body lotion and bath/shower gel in the same lot) so I was taking a risk as I've never bought any Liz Taylor perfumes before. However, due to all the (mostly) positive views on the perfume on this very site I trusted my judgement in the end and I haven't been disappointed. I am now wearing the perfume and sprayed it about 3 hours ago, so it's fairly long-lasting. The main smell I get is rose but it's not overpowering. In fact, the longer it remains on my skin the better the smell gets. It's actually quite unusual but I like it. I now want to try all the other Elizabeth Taylor perfumes, Passion being at the top of my list. As far as Celebrity Perfumes go, Elizabeth Taylor's can't be beaten and never will be, especially since I bought the 3 products (including postage) for well under £15!! Last night I was trying to figure out what the perfume reminds me of and this morning it hit me. It smells remarkably like 'Happy' by Clinique but at a fraction of the price!

Upgraded from a Like to a Love because this fragrance is Just. The. Thing. for sweltering and humid Midwestern heatwave weather. I don't know about you, but when it's hot as hell I don't want to smell like cumin and cinnamon and complicated ambars and attars. I want to smell crisp and clean, like freshly sliced apple, clean woods, mown grass, and the classic floral notes (jasmine, rose, violet). Yes, there is also tiare/gardenia, but the balance is such that no one floral note asserts itself over the general bouquet. Mostly Forever Elizabeth just smells clean, green, and demure. The Liz Taylor of National Velvet, not the Liz Taylor of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. I don't have many apple-forward scents, and this one makes me wonder why. Maybe it's because Forever Elizabeth so perfectly scratches the apple itch.

This is such a pleasant surprise. I was expecting the usual ET blast, which I like, however Forever ET is softer, without being a skin scent, and fresh and green. The apple to my nose is prominent. It's not sour, but not a juicy red either. More like the scent of the green Granny Smith stewing apples. The blackberry works well with the apple and tones down the Tiara flower in the top notes. It's a lovely combination and unlike anything else I own. Having cloves in the bottom notes always gets me in. So, while this fragrance might be officially termed floral, to me it's Green and spicy. Delicious. BTW, I can't see that there are matching body products, but I layered the perfume with Crabtree and Evelyn Tiara Flower hand cream to boost the longevity.

An unexpected delight. Reminds me of some of the aquatic perfumes of the early 90s. It has reasonable longevity and sillage, considering that it is not the strongest of perfumes. I wanted something light and floral and this is perfect. I have tried other Elizabeth Taylor perfumes, but found them to be overwhelming but this is elegant, timeless and I would use this in any setting day or night. UPDATE - Whilst spraying this on this morning, it really reminded me of a perfume I previously owned, but couldn't quite remember which one. Now looking back on my previous bottles, I remember that, on me, this smells exactly the same as Cacharel's Eau D'Eden. It's no longer available, so I am delighted to find a replacement.

This is a beautiful fragrance. There's absolutely nothing offensive about this perfume. It's smells very good. I sprayed a little on my young daughter so she could try it. I asked her what it smelled like and she said "apples" without knowing what it's notes are. It is very light. I can see why it's called a "skin scent", as it is not very strong. That's OK because not everyone likes strong scents. I find that the longevity of this fragrance varies from day to day. Overall, it's a very beautiful, soft, and cheerful scent. It should please most people. I found a fantastic deal on this perfume on fragrance.com. I bought a few bottles to give as gifts. I think it would make great gifts for your friends, family, etc.

I do love this scent. It is almost the perfect light floral without any of the funny melon/ozonic notes that detract from so many others. It smells like a beautiful spring day with cold floral scents perfuming the air. The apple note is like sweet briar/eglantine leaves after the rain and freshens the rose. Sometimes I think I smell lilac. The only problem is that it dosen't last at all on my skin. Or my clothes. An hour or two and it is completely gone. Which is disappointing in an eau de parfum. I wish there were a body lotion that went with it. I will try it with a scentless lotion to see if that helps with its longevity. Otherwise I will just keep spritzing. Good thing it is ridiculously inexpensive.

Another favorite from Elizabeth Taylor! She never let me down when it came to fragrances and this is just another perfect scent! Most perfumes that include Apple (Green OR Red) in the top notes, wins me over instantly. There is just something about it when mixed with just the right ingredients that enlightens my senses and I need to wear it. Much like Forever Elizabeth! It has a softness to it but unlike other "soft" scents, this does not fade right away which is always a complaint of mine. Just like most of Ms Taylors fragrances, you can expect plenty of compliments and you will get to smell it ALL DAY! This is also one of my favroite bottles ever!

If I'd associate some scent with Liz Taylor, the orchids, rich and luxorious, would it contains undoubtly. Green opening is a pleasant surprise. I love the apples! Sour, juicy, realistic. Nicely combined with berries and sweet citrus. Heart of the perfume is about creamy and opulent flowers. Violets and jasmine are exuberant, but not overcharging. Woodiness of the base is polite, with facet of cloves. Santalwood and musk creates milky, sensual and comfy bed. I wasn't expecting such a nice, juicy and delicate fragrance. There is nothing average about it but it is very enjoyable even for everyday occasions. It could be Forever indeed-it is timeless.

I have all of Elizabeth Taylor's fragrances because I love collecting them...and although this particular fragrance is not as "grand" (meaning complex, formal, classic) as her other offerings, it's very easy to like. It's fresh, green, musky, fruity, flowery, and youthful. I love certain sweet, musky, grassy-green scents, and this one reminds me a bit of Calvin Klein's 'Truth,' but with more crisp fruit and fresh flowers. I particularly get violets, jasmine, green apple, blackberries, mandarin, musk, and sandalwood from this fragrance. It's lovable, casual, and easy to wear...I think anyone would smell good in it.

Forever Elizabeth might just be that hidden little jewel in the jewel chest of ET fragrances. A genuine joy to wear and own. The iridescence of the bottle is pretty, if not a little tacky. A bit like a fake pearl. Regardless of this, the scent actually smells rather expensive in a fabulous way. Doesn't last, but even designers and 'more-expensive-than-my-rent' fragrances suffer the same fate. This a pretty, fresh and apple-y floral scent that doesn't bother trying to stun - just comfort. Purchased this alongside Black Pearls and definitely prefer this. Surprising, genuinely.

I get compliments on this fragrance even when I don't think I can smell it anymore. A young male teenager (stranger) even said to me "Wow! You smell nice." Then almost self-conciously say "Not like me!" then proceed to sniff his own body. My young teenage niece is always asking me if she could squirt herself with this scent. The only reason I haven't bought her a bottle is that I don't trust her not to give it away to one of her friends. (peer pressure) I wish I could smell it a bit more on me after I put it on. Oh! well at least others can.

I was excited to try it because reviews said it smelled like apple, but I get a blast of green notes at first and then it fades a little to sour GREEN apple like scent. Not the typical apple scent you would think of, instead, extremely green. I Like it regardless but want a red apple perfume. Edit: I love it now and bought another bottle. Perfect for hot summer nights where the windows are open and the crickets are chirping. Sweet and sour green apple with very fragrant florals. I think a someone who wears this would have a personality.

This fragrance is so beautiful. I find it similar to 5th avenue ( just not as bitter) and the original Vera Wang. I have 5th avenue on my other wrist and it seems so harsh next to this scent. When FE opens I smell apple and jasmine with slight woodynotes. As it settles it gets more of the musk. Very nice. It smells mature and sophisticated but still fresh and fun. If that makes sense. :) I bought this again because my mom had it yrs ago and something about it still remains in my memory. Can't wait to start wearing it!

Yum!! I LOVE this! I just received my order of it as a blind buy and it's heavenly! Energetic, yet soft and sweet, this reminds me of my mom's 80's white floral perfumes mixed with the acidic Pleasures of the 90s from Estee Lauder. This is a fruity floral, uplifting, strong and balanced by an undertone of musk/sandalwood and warmth. The bottle is very pretty too, iridescent looking glass with modern lines and a frosted look cap. I am so pleased with my purchase!!! I love this!

This is probably the most crowdpleasing of Elizabeth Taylor’s fragrances. Its soft, floral, and inoffensive. It has none of the polarizing aspects of some of her other perfumes, like the loud floral of White Diamonds, or the civet note in Passion. This is simply a delicate powdery floral with a touch of fruit, on a base of the mildest soft sandalwood. I really love fragrances like this. You can wear this anywhere.

This is Elizbeths best fragrance by far. To me it smells light and floral,but in a short while doesn't last long...or so it seems because when I turn around I still smell the sweet Jasmine in it and the lovely soft rose scent. Others can smell it and tell me how good it smells. I do wished I could smell it longer. I'd definetly purchase this again. It' so affordable and smells sooooo goood!!

One of my very first perfume purchases. Such a bright , pretty ,delicate scent. The green apple never vanishes. This one has a tartness that's fun and flirty:) Such a gorgeous perfume, bottle and everything. Can't help but smile every time I get a whiff. In Love FOREVER! Smells NOTHING like Arden Beauty- That one is horrible imo. smelly dirty..

This scent is light and feminine. Floral and a little fruity. It's very classy. You really can't go wrong with this. It lasts for hours on me, but the sillage is not so overpowering that I couldn't wear it to work. I've got a pretty big bottle so I don't see myself running out anytime soon, but if I ever do I'd try to find this gem again.

This scent is pleasant and fruity, but with some definite amber warmth lingering in the background. That amber gives me hope that this will smell even better in cooler weather. We will see. Forever really is quite lovely, but not a show stopper or anything. I'm not sure what I expected from this one, but I love it'sweet simplicity.

This is the last one I need and I will have the entire Elizabeth Taylor Collection! i love ALL of her perfumes so I'm sure I will love this as well. This and Vilot Eyes are the only Elizabeth Taylor fragrances without a Jewl theme??? EDIT: Sorry, I forgot about Gardenia & Passion, so I guess the non-Jewl theme is not so unusal...

I love this one. Now, to be fair and honest, I do love a floral/fruity frag. But, this one really works well on me. Appropriate for the office. Can feel comforting and casual but with a hint of sophistication. It's fresh, not cloying and I always receive a compliment. I think it's a safe blind buy IF you love a citrus floral.

Wonderful, elegant and very feminine. It's all about flowers, mostly roses. This is really class of timeless scent. No age limitation, no sensitivity about the year seasons or the weather in general , absolutely very pleasing ... just perfect,ready to wear. And not to mention ... great price value.

The opening is beautifully fresh, apples shine through. Such unexpected longevity and projection for the price range. I bought it without trying it first and I was scared of the sandalwood as it’s not among my favorites, happy to say I don’t seem to pick it up on me once I sprayed the fragrance.

Blind bought this and I fell in love. This is such a lovely light powdery floral. It was so nice that I’d get compliments for it! I also got it for my mom as a Christmas gift and ever since, she told me she’s gotten compliments for it from work too! The bottle is just divine as well!

UPDATE: Of my previous review. I absolutely love this parfume. This has become my good mood parfume. When ever I feel the scent of these lovely floweres, I smile and become in such a great mood. I ́m definitely gonna buy another bottle, if the online store get it back.

This perfume has a massive similarity to Creed spring flower! It’s a lovely fresh floral fragrance. It exudes class and femininity. I imagine old Hollywood stars just like Elizabeth Taylor wearing this to a dinner party wearing there pearls and diamonds.

This was my go to scent when I was 15 years old. I was so in love then and I still am now, 15 years later.. I actually got the duped perfume oil version and it smells so damn close to the actual perfume. Now I need to buy this to have for my collection.

i agree it doesnt smell dated. hints of lancome miracle and dkny be delicious. edit-- something about this reminds me of middle school (ca.1997) in a good way. similar to clinique happy maybe? its so nice. fresh cut grass, juicy berry, tart apple.

This is a very nice fruity-floral scent. For me the apple is most prominent. It is an easy to wear fragrance that would not likely offend anyone. I've layered it with Molinard's Vanille Marine and it made for a nice caramel apple experience!

I'm surprised, because I really like this. Fresh, green, a tad creamy. My favorite florals, and NO FREESIA! (my nemesis) worth the blind buy, and came in a set with mini's. (Side note: The white diamonds.5oz in that set has actual oakmoss!)

I like the bottle on this, got a good deal at 20 bucks for quite a large bottle. This reminds me of a really good smelling conditioner. The one I am using right now, actually, smells quite a lot like this. it's pantene split end mender.

The perfume of my teenage years! Starts off with beautifully crisp apple and pear and dries down into floral and amber. Sits close to skin and doesn't last more than a few hours but for the price it is a beautiful fragrance!

Just a gentle suggestion to those whose bottle smells different from expectations: give it a few weeks to macerate. Let it sit a bit, it may improve greatly. Same for other Elizabeth Taylor perfumes.

I really enjoy this. I do wish it were stronger and had more longevity. I'd pay substantially more for a version like that! Not listed in the notes, but I am getting a strong lilac note!

Forever Elizabeth smells beautiful.A soft floral that is powdery,fruity and tangy with fresh green apples. A very pleasant and feminine fragrance.I love this scent.Rating 10/10.

Was pleasantly surprised when tried it at the airport and bought 2-100ml on my way back ...very fresh and feminine, elegant but not in your face, long lasting and very floral.

It was very pleasent on my skin, mostly fruti / floral, people like it on me, is very unexpensive, lasting power is ok; a girl friend used to said i smell like barbie lol

Very nice scent. Smells fresh, soft and floral. Not over powering, not overly sweet, not too powder smelling. Just perfect! Last a while as well. Elizabeth's best!!

Nice and soft but still there is a vague "stickiness"....wonder what that is? Update: After the bottle has been oponed a week the stickiness dissapears. Now love!

Exquisite a real pleasure for the senses:)

Forever Elizabeth is a very soft ET fragrance. This is certainly not like her other fragrances that you cant overspray or they become a silage monster. Upon first trying this, it reminded me somewhat of Isacc Misrahi Fabulous. It shares top note of mandarin, middle note of jasmine, and bottom note of sandalwood. I think that coupled with the fact that I enjoy wearing Fabulous in the winter cold it was ringing my bell slightly, it is no way a dupe. I think Forever Elizabeth is better suited to warmer weather, as it seems to not develop as strongly as I believe it will in the spring/summer. I don't care for the smell of Fabulous in the summer, so I am very happy to sort of have a summertime replacement for it. The perfume itself starts out more zesty and fruity upon initial blast, but dries down pretty quickly to a close to your skin musky floral. The clove gives it a touch of spice to keep things interesting, but the nose has to kind of hunt for it. It has a green earthiness that keeps the flowers grounded, so you don't feel like your struggling to get away from a head ache inducing flower garden. Its very easy to wear, it doesn't set off on this massive ever changing personality adventure that most of ET fragrances lead you on. I suppose she may have wanted something subtle after Passion, White Diamonds, The fragrant jewels, Sparkling White Diamonds, and Black Pearls. As this came out in 2002 I can see how it may have been able to compete with the more aquatic and fruity fragrances that were more common at that time. I love the name, was hoping it would be something I like because my name is Elizabeth. Its not the signature scent of my lifetime but it is certainly something I will wear on days where I want something a bit more subtle. My Husband likes it! This is probably one of the safest of her fragrances that could appeal to almost anyone. Most of her others have a lot of personality and take some time to see if you could get used to. This one seems to just be itself. Forever Elizabeth indeed.

Admittedly, I really didn't want to like this one. I bought it so that I'd have the entire Elizabeth Taylor collection, but it sat sad and unused. There's just something about the iridescent bottle that makes it look like it's for young girls. You know, not a 'serious' fragrance. And all us Fragranticans certainly take ourselves to be very serious, don't we? But before going out for my morning jog yesterday, I thought why the hell not. So I gave myself 7 or 8 sprays assuming it'd be gone before I got to the sidewalk. Two people in the elevator almost immediately told me how good I smelled, and one passerby on the sidewalk did the same. That's three compliments from total strangers in the span of 3 minutes. Ugh. Anyway, I don't dislike the fragrance itself. It's really quite nice and fresh. But it's just so different from her other powerhouse fragrances. Anyone who knows me is aware I like my projection to have the power to alter the migratory patterns of the birds. This one is just too weak, in my opinion. But people certainly seem to like it. And much like Debbie from our local dive bar, we euphemistically call that a "crowd pleaser." Congratulations, dear. If I have one legitimate gripe (to save face), it'd be that it's absolutely fleeting. It lasts all of ten minutes if you're lucky. So there, maybe I wasn't entirely wrong in my snobbery. It's a win/win for both me and our beloved Elizabeth. And it'll likely get a lot of use now for morning jogs when I need a compliment without having to scream "TELL ME I'M PRETTY" at the neighbors. The King County Sheriff has already warned me about that.

I was gifted a mini bottle with other purchases. Forever Elizabeth is soapy, aquatic green apple + diaphanous tropical white flowers, violets, fresh fruity musks, and green notes. While not the style of perfume I typically gravitate toward, it's perfectly approachable. Accessible, accommodating, cheery, friendly, and never pushy or obnoxious. It has a clean, refreshing, put-together feeling to it. Fresh fruity conditioner, creamy Ivory soap, and newly-laundered clothing. A cocktail of pleasantries.
