Sparkling White Diamonds

I recently picked up a 3.3 oz bottle of this at Marshalls for $14.99. I always liked White Diamonds as my first Husbands Mother wore it as her signature, and of course as a young 20 something I never wore it because I thought of it as "mature". However one Christmas after gifting her a discounted holiday set she gave me the lotion, and I would on occasion apply it after a shower when I planed on staying around the house. Here I am a 37 year old Mom, and I guess nostalgia and seeing holiday fragrance gift sets made me long to find an Elizabeth Taylor perfume to call all my own. My Mother and Grandmother Loved Mrs. Taylor and after all, and I was named after her. The cool blue bottle is lovely, the spray comes out in a very fine mist. The top is very clean, a fresh burst. As the top dissipates the middle is much more floral, with that clean freshness still playing in the background. At the end I am left with a clean white musk. I checked the notes, and this is very similar to white diamonds. It is missing the aldehydes, bergamot, violet, ylang-ylang, tuberose, oak moss and patchouli. The only additional note is gardenia. I also feel like there is a freesia in the top. It truly is a lighter version of White Diamonds, and I am in love. It reminds me of the coziness of the fragrance of a woman I loved and respected dearly, but something I can wear as my own. I recommend if you liked the original, or a clean floral. I would wear this at any time, blue jeans or dressy. I think this scent must have been a much more demure side of ET, the side of her that nurtured and loved. I feel very happy when I wear this. My Moms favorite fragrance was White Shoulders, and I would classify that as more floral but with that clean scent as well. Perhaps my perception of this scent is somewhat influenced by scents my Mother and Mother in Law wore. I noticed another reviewer saw this as the frigid, ambiguous side of femme, so perhaps it was Liz's ice queen side. At any rate I recommend!

My twin got me this as a half-joke for Christmas but it’s not funny how good this fragrance is. I’m not familiar with the rest of the White Diamonds line so I can’t compare it to the OG and other flankers, but Sparkling White Diamonds is a delight to wear. In my collection this fits somewhere between (and here you will see I am a real niche head) the shimmering musky cloud of Cognoscenti’s Civet Chypre and the aromatic marine garden of January Scent Project’s Dinudisit. These probably aren’t helpful guideposts for most people on this page, but they’re the only ones I have. It’s distant from the aldehydic florals of earlier decades and I think fits more easily into a contemporary “floral freshie” space, despite the relative complexity of its composition and several decidedly vintage touches at play. I get a (yes) sharp opening of neroli and aldehydes that I can understand being off putting and indeed imparted some trepidation in me on first application. But wait 5 seconds and this becomes something so easy to love. The real stars of the scent are narcissus and lily. To me the narcissus is more noticeable, in part because it is a complex and fascinating note that I gravitate toward in perfume. The lily is probably actually stronger, but its relatively simple, creamy bouquet doesn’t demand as much attention. It is lovely in the blend and contributes to an overall decadently creamy feel in combination with the musks. Narcissus and lily, then, represent the two faces of this scent, which is at once bright, glittering and cheerful, and creamy, cool, and comforting. The other florals aren’t really detectable to me, with the exception of sheer and glowing neroli accompanying the more down to earth narcissus. The aldehydes are just right, contributing to a cold, even refrigerated, vibe that keeps the creamy base from becoming cloying or overwhelming.

This is the polar opposite of my beloved Passion and White Diamonds, two fragrances I would run into a burning building to save. I am not supposed to like this, but I absolutely LOVE it. Am I losing my mind?! Anyway, it strips away the heat, spices, and heavy resins of the original. What’s left is neroli, lily, and gardenia. It is icy (that will make sense when you smell it) and dare I say aggressively clean. It smells like a bar of French-milled soap that costs $50. It is the most unisex of the white florals because it lacks sweetness. Any man could pull this off without anyone batting an eye. It is just pure, COLD floral musk. I'd also say it's unobtrusive and work appropriate. As another reviewer mentioned below, Elizabeth Taylor's fragrances are of such high quality for such a ridiculously low cost! Along with Gardenia, this was another blind buy win for me. It is just LOVELY and there isn't a single thing I would change about it. EDIT: It doesn't last nearly as long as the others in the White Diamonds collection. But that's ideal for me. While a single spray of White Diamonds is a COMMITMENT, I can wear this during the day and switch to something heavier in the evening. EDIT 2: I've figured out that Sparkling White Diamonds needs an entire LAYER for you to get the full shabang. Spray the amount you're normally comfortable with, let it dry down for just a few minutes and do it all over again. Deep breath hun, because I'm not kidding when I say this. Let the second layer dry down a bit and apply a third. No need to clutch your pearls about it. You'll be good to go for the rest of the day, and this stuff is so inoffensive it still won't be enough to knock anyone out.

Todas las fragancias de Elizabeth Taylor cuentan una historia, un momento, una inspiración, algo que la marcó y que quiso enmarcarlo en un perfume para ir a ese momento en un simple spray. Puedo decir que Sparkling White Diamonds es un baño de tina espumoso! me huele a un jabón Dove en barra. Elizabeth quiso este perfume para ir directamente a esa ocasión de salir del baño de tina y que el jabón en piel dure por horas y no se esfume.. puedo intuir que esta fragancia la utilizaba para ir a dormir! yo lo hago así y al despertar hueles las hermosas flores enumeradas en las notas! tan bien mezcladas que te reconfortan y calman.. esta fragancia puede ser utilizada como quieras en verdad.. funciona tan bien en un frío invierno.. literalmente vas a oler al salir de la ducha con un hermoso jabón mezclado con flores blancas que van apareciendo mientras se va secando el spray en tu piel. Este perfume para lo que ofrece podría ser perfectamente muchísimo más caro de lo que es. Tiene el ADN del White Diamonds original, pero muchísimo más calmado en cuanto a las notas. El original es embriagador porque te está gritando las 12 horas que dura que está ahí presente.. no es para todas las narices el original, el Sparkling White Diamonds es más sutil y femenino, poderoso de igual manera, pero con un camino olfativo distinto. Pruebalo!!! lo recomiendo mucho para usarlo en tu día a día y para dormir.. señor perfume hace que tus sueños huelan hermoso.

This is my first Elizabeth Taylor fragrance and I have to say that I'm very pleased with my purchase. As other reviewers have correctly assessed, it is a somewhat 'cold', neutral and, indeed, sparkling white floral, on a sweetish base. It smells clean and delicate (unless you overspray)! It is also kind of soapy, but not unpleasantly so; no sharp aldehydes or suffocating big bouquets here. Although the list of notes might scare some people off (lily! narcissus! gardenia! jasmine! rose! neroli!), the overall effect is nothing like the heady floralness of, say, Amarige. Here all floral notes are stripped of their more challenging aspects and beautifully blended. This scent is appropriate for all occasions and not at all dated. I see that several users have compared it to the sadly discontinued Narciso Rodriguez Essence, and I can also add a comparison to NR Pure Musc. The main difference between Pure Musc and Sparkling White Diamonds is that the drydown of SWD is less musky and more ambery; also, in Pure Musc, 'cold' floral notes are there to boost the musk, while in SWD it's the opposite, and musk is there to elevate the flowers. Bottom line: this is a fantastic universal 'cheapie' that doesn't smell cheap at all, and the bottle is absolutely beautiful.

Not getting anything remotely animalic, thank goodness--just white florals and clean musk, with a little citrus to cut through the sweetness of white lily and gardenia. The musk is whiter than white. I see why people compare it to Ivory soap, but I get predominantly florals. Maybe this will develop somewhat on the drydown and depending where I spray it (right now it's still confined to testing, back-of-the-hand status, and I like it enough to wear it on pulse points once I shower and start with a clean slate. I'm sure it's the aldehydes that account for the bright soapy aspect of this perfume; I suspect I must like them, since they tend to be a common factor in so many of the scents I gravitate to these days. I wouldn't wear this if I felt a migraine coming on, though. This is more the kind of scent you wear when you're feeling great. Update: It's obviously Dove soap, not Ivory. But so wonderfully clean once the aldehydes calm down. I think the candylike notes that I at first identified as iris or lilac were actually white lily, probably, in combination with gardenia. A reviewer back in 2013 compared the floral accord to Juicy Fruit gum, which I totally get. So somehow this is both soapy and delicious? A miracle, at a miracle price.

Sparkling White Diamonds is my gym-bag scent. It’s not special enough to be my hands-down signature scent but it’s my signature day-off scent, gym scent and sweaty hot summer scent. It’s the perfect clean, fresh laundry scent as it smells identical to Dove deodorant. (A slight disclaimer, the original Dove deodorant smells different in Canada with the light blue lid, compared to the USA and U.K. variations that both have a dark blue lids - Sparkling White Diamonds smells just like the USA version of Dove deodorant and mostly like the Canadian version but not as creamy powdery soapy as the U.K. edition). It’s translucent with sparkling aldehydes and powdery white floral laundry detergent with a little fuzzy oakmoss. There are no vintage animalics to me. Sparkling White Diamonds is how you smell after a shower when you spray Dove deodorant and put freshly laundered clothes on. So if you’re feeling subway-sweaty, it helps to restore your original clean scent. This belongs in every gym bag. Longevity isn’t as beastmode as claimed, realistically it lasts for a good 5/6 hours. So you need to reapply again if you’re going to the gym after work.

Is it hot as hell where you are right now? Does the entire world smell like a collective unwashed ass? Does the thought of wearing some spicy, resinous, rich, and gourmandish scent elicit shuddering dry heaves? Well, consider Sparkling White Diamonds, the very sublimation of soap. Yes, this is a floral fragrance (I can even discern the narcissus, which delights me), but mostly it is an aldehydic floral fragrance, which means it smells like a nice, flowery soap. Take a shower, spritz some of this on, and prolong that Ivory Soap baby feeling for hours. If you don't care for the OG White Diamonds (I do, but the rich orientals aren't for everyone), this might be a good choice for you, especially if you have pleasant associations and formative memories associated with Ivory bar soap. If you were longing for a bottle of Byredo Blanche but can't rationalize the ridiculous price, try Sparkling White Diamonds, and see if it doesn't function similarly. Everyone defines the "clean girl" scent category differently, but to me it's that pure and righteous white musk aldehydic soap smell.

Recently I’ve been collecting the Flankers in the White Diamonds collection by Elizabeth Taylor. I loved how perfect for everyday wear Emeralds and Sapphire are, and since I’m almost out of my bottle of Emeralds, I decided to try out another one of the flankers to see how they hold up. Immediately, Sparkling White Diamonds is such a beautiful and calming scent. I love how soft and elegant this is while still being bold. It definitely smells similar to an Ivory bar of soap with emphasis on the powder, so if that isn’t your kind of thing, you probably won’t like this. So far out of the Diamonds flankers I own (Rubies, Sapphire, Emeralds, Dazzling White) this one is my favorite. Compared to the other flankers, this one feels much more timeless, while the others do still have a vintage feel to them. This one feels like it will be perfect for everyday use. I could see it working in Spring, Summer, and Winters. Definitely perfect for the gym, after a shower, to wear with your little black dress, church, truly any occasion.

I got this for a Christmas gift and when i sprayed it on my skin it opened with an sharp metallic scent of aldehyde and i thought this must be an inexpensive version of Chanel no 5 Unlike chanel it dried sweeter and more softer florals came steeping though the notes. What Sparkling Diamonds conjours up for me is a sight of fresh white Lilies wet from the nocturnal summer's rain giving off an sweet aroma from their long and sinuous Petals blowing in the clear summer sky Gardenias blooms under the Sun's gentile rays the reveal it's pure and unblemished petals of Elegant white folds with it's stately and trademarked buttery sweet scent, dries with elusive jasmine blooming in a shady bush with it's herbal greenish smell gives it an earthy quality. Rose opens the middle with a velvety heart then deep intoxicating of vain narcissus adds to the vanity of beauty, The drydown is cloyinish with amber adds the animalistic in us and dries with dry woods. Sparkling Diamonds i can put in three words Breezy Sexy and Beautiful.

This is clean just hopped out of the shower smell but in the best way. This doesn't smell like all of those fruity/floral shower gel scents out there on the market. This smells clean, white bar soap clean. This smells like that feeling you get when you take a really hot shower after working really hard or you were very upset about something (therapy shower) and you took a fancy white bar of soap and scrubbed the day away. There is a tingling effect to the smell of this perfume as well like the feeling you have after that hot shower and you step out into the cool air. In the dry down there is an astringent almost clove note that is stark and very clean. This is almost a therapy scent to my mind, like a reset button. I didn't have anything like that in my collection and now I do thanks to Elizabeth Taylor.

I am with Parfum Amour!! A beautiful sparkling Oriental Lily backed by sweet bubbly citrus. Original White Diamonds is classic perfumery. A perfectly executed portrait of an Oriental Lily. Sparkling White Diamonds could be classified as the lighthearted bubbly younger sister.This beauty showcases Oriental Lily in front and center as does White Diamonds, yet is sweeter and efferescent. There is gorgeous lemony citrus that surrounds the lily. Reminds me of enjoying a mimosa or Champagne spritzer at a formal brunch on a beautiful summers afternoon. It's inexpensive and easy to find, but it smells of quality ingredients. I love Oriental Liles and collect perfumes built around this note. Unlike some, I detect nothing artificial to speak of. Just Lilies and Lemony sweetness.

I really enjoy this perfume, it's very elegant in my opinion. Not as strong as white diamonds, so a little easier for those of us prone to headaches. It unlike white diamonds, doesn't start of inherently powdery, instead I first notice a string flower, I'm inclined to say neroli and jasmine. It fades out of that fairly quickly and moves onto the lily and other flowers smell. Even though it's not as powdery as white diamonds, it still retains that distinct powdery hint that made the latter unique. This one is far more wearable for just out and about. But again while less strong than white diamonds, it's still pretty strong and I recommend not using it heavily, as well as testing it first because white flowers are picky and can just smell bad on the wrong person.

i love to give love to the cheapies:) and this scent is really nice in the world of white diamonds..........its not as heavy as the original white diamonds..........its a lighter more "sparkling" version of the original...........the florals stand out nicely & softly..........and thankfully it has no weird chemical smell lol........as for longevity it last a few hours on me.......sparkling really fits the scent :) i get everything except neroli & woodsy notes - i dont get woodsy at all & luckily not neroli - neroli is not a fav lol..............for the super price on fragrance discount sites give this a try.......its pleasantly nice :)

Omg... I love it! It's soapy, floral, and creamy. It smells like a combination of the original Dove deodorant spray (the one with the blue cap—not the roll-on) and the classic Dove soap bar. It's honestly so pretty if you like smelling like soap. And I do! This is probably the closest I've come to a true Dove soap scent so far. And from such an unexpected fragrance! Everything people recommend as smelling like Dove usually ends up smelling nothing like it. It also stays soapy from start to finish instead of drying down into something completely different. I'm obsessed. The bottle is super pretty too. Will repurchase this forever!

This is a really nice fragrance. It has a bit of a citrus blast on me when first sprayed on and then the light white florals appear with a soft musk dry down. I love the powerhouse fragrances of the eighties and nineties but I never was interested in celebrity fragrances so I never tried them. Not sure why I even decided to try the ET line but glad I did. Since they are so inexpensive now I have ordered some of the other scents in this line to try. Better late than never! The sillage and longevity is great with this fragrance. I received a compliment the first time I wore it.

I never thought much about this fragrance until I just tried it on in this below zero weather. You really get a soapy gardenia with lots of musk and deep Amber with whispers of jasmine, the neroli makes it fresh and sparkling. Oh my this is a gem! It's singing so beautifully! I had assumed this fragrance was more for spring and summer and I was not impressed. I'm so glad I gave it another chance now because it really is unique and full bodied just like white diamonds, just singing it's own beautiful tune.

I just ordered the perfume version of the body spray that I have. I love it so much and its so fresh and light. Its perfect for the day and for the office as it is inoffensive and really does smell as if you just showered. I love the original white diamonds, but its just too strong to wear at work. This is a great alternative and (to me) it smells like a lighter version of white diamonds. love it and can't wait til my 3.3 oz bottle arrives. It was literally pennies compared to other fragrances.

UGH! SO WONDERFUL! This is a dumb reach for super hot days--which is not something I'd say for any of the other ET frags. Clean, cool and soapy. It's refreshing without a trace of sharp citrus (thankfully). This will NEVER be dated, IMO. How do you put an "era" on soap? Just lovely! Longevity is a little less than some of the others in the diamonds lineup but you can go HAM on the trigger (5+ hours heavy spray)! Never too much with this. Will forever repurchase!

I love this fragrance but not so much on me rather sprayed on fabric in a room. One of my 100ml bottles arrived having leaked half into the box. Overpowering. I let it dry outside then kept the perfume and box in a disused bathroom for months and it never gave up radiating. I still have it and it still smells over a year later, in fact, too much! But 5 sprays on fabric will fill a room with an intoxicating floral perfume.

I love it. At first blast I found it to be a bit strong and heady and thought that it would be overwhelming, maybe I just applied it with too heavy a hand. Anyway within 5 minutes it settled down into a lovely fresh clean powdery just from the shower floral scent. It's soft and very feminine, light and airy, perfect for warm weather and for everyday use. It may well become one of my staples.

This is a clean, soft, gentle floral - a nice mix of yellow and white flowers to my nose - sweetened with a touch of citrus and warmed with a light musky undertone. It's a gentle, casual scent to wear for daytime in the spring and summer months. And it has great longetivity, as do most of Elizabeth Taylor's fragrances. I keep sniffing my wrist just because it smells so nice!

So nice for spring! I’ve overlooked this for a long time. It is so creamy and slightly sweet. Gentle white florals, very sophisticated without being stuffy, and it is so easy to wear. The sillage stays closer to the body but the longebity is pretty good (six or seven hours on my skin). I was going to buy a new perfume for spring but I honestly think I will stay with this.

This makes me think of sweet snowflakes falling from a midnight blue kind of sky. Crisp lily, crystallized sugar and winter magic (and I'm not even a fan of winter). :) Beautiful! Update: This is best in hot weather, in my experience. It can lean a bit metallic and flat when it's cold. Not bad necessarily, but not in its full bloom of beauty. In the heat it is so creamy!

I love this inexpensive EDT as a light, casual summer fragrance. It's a very, very fresh, clean, just-from-the-shower almost "soapy" floral with a touch of citrus to give it sparkle and a powdery/woodsy note that gives the drydown a touch more warmth. It's perfect for very hot weather because it's never cloying or too heavy, yet it's pretty long-lasting.

This one really does sparkle in cold winter weather. I know it seems like a fresh spring/summer scent and can be worn then too, but it truly sparkles in January winter snowy weather. So don't forget to try it in winter and see which season you like it best in. I'm wearing it now in summer only cuz I missed it and totally forgot about it over the winter.

Bubbly champagne feeling.(That's how I describe the sparkling part) Lots and lots of white lily to die for. Some more white flowers and gardenia. Fresh, clean Mood lifter Bright and sassy. Very unique! Quite wakening when it first goes on, then calms down to creamy dreamy. long lasting Doesn't fade away in minutes like a lot of perfumes. rating 10/10

Just a gentle suggestion to those whose bottle smells different from expectations: give it a few weeks to macerate. Let it sit a bit, it may improve greatly. Same for other Elizabeth Taylor perfumes. This is great floral to wear anywhere. I especially like it in the summer heat, it gives a kind of "icy" feeling (but not minty or menthol)!

Yes to Easter lily and narcissus, musk and some sandalwood with some rose and supporting florals. This is a spring beauty. In the final drydown it is ALL Easter Lily, which I adore. If you are looking for the perfect Easter Lily fragrance at an amazing price you've found your baby. This is almost as good as some of the Yosh's that I have.

WOW!! I greatly overlooked this perfume. It is fresh, clean, and gentle; very much like Dove soap. It seems that Elizabeth took all of her favorite main notes from White Diamonds and put it into this one; minus the tuberose; and instead, added the gardenia. The lily is so well blended with all of the notes. Great perfume for the price!

Anytime, bright, clean, floral, fresh, creamy, soapy! It's a "nice walk by people they're gonna say you smell good" kind of fragrance. I don't like gardenia, but I'm able to tolerate it in this blend. Easy to wear if you don't know WHAT to wear. **EDIT** I adore gardenia now xD

This is the best of the Elizabeth Taylor perfumes. It is velvety soft, light, sweet, soapy, very easy to wear and gives a delicious feeling. The price is excellent considering the high quality, it is what a celebrity perfume should be. It feels expensive and glamorous.

What lovely silage from this scent. It’s light and airy but always present. The Lily is the most prominent note to my nose and gives this scent a clean and creamy aspect like a delicate floral soap. I love this simple delight. Just perfect to wear on a cold snowy day.

This is very lovely. Fresh, pretty, and sweet! I didn’t care for it in the warmer weather, but now that the temps are getting cooler, it really does sparkle! This is going to be perfect to wear this winter when I need a break from the heavy gourmands!

Do not sleep on this edt. Wow! I wish I would have purchased this sooner. I am sure I will be wearing this all summer long. Such a gorgeous summer lily. Clean soap. Base note is woodsy. This is goregous!

Just sampling This, I just forgot I had a new bottle. It is so fresh and young Perfect for any weather, It to smells like bubblegum .Makes me feel fresh clean & pretty. I like it very much.

Very nice scent!! Way different than all the other ET scents thats for sure. This is crisp and fruity. The Sprarkling White and Brilliant White are just beautiful scednts.

I miss this one! It’s so pleasant. If I didn’t have so many other bottles to go through due to overbuying during the pandemic I would repurchase it in a heartbeat.

I just love this perfume!!! Go to Citrus Spring Scent. Nothing offensive about this beauty at all.

First Impressions: "Frozen" Ice Princess Character - Cool, Like Pepperminty Fresh Christmas Tea - Celestial Seasonings Tea Blend Iced Lily with Soft White Musk Base Notes; High Pitched (Soprano), Fresh, Clean, Synthetic (Starts rather strong, smells like super strong bathroom spray at first - similar to the original White Diamonds -- both have strong aldehydes that really dominate the first 20-30 minutes of wear... don't throw in the towel during this phase -- WAIT FOR THE GORGEOUS DRY DOWN!) The Dry Down moves more into a gentle sweet just out of the shower soapy smell, which is heavenly. Sparkling White diamonds is a lighter version of White Diamonds, for those that feel that the original White Diamonds is too concentrated or too strong. This shares the aldehydes, fizzy opening with White Diamonds. This would be the younger sister or possibly daughter to White Diamonds. -------- Sparkling White Diamonds is very similar to the Christmas tea blend by Celestial Seasonings... it has peppermint and notes incredibly similar to this. I believe that tea has animated polar bears on it, from what I remember. It is super cute, I always love the fun animated illustrations on Celestial Seasonings teas! So cute! I can see where a few reviewers mentioned references to the image of an "Ice Princess" - yes, this brings to mind the character from the animation - "Frozen". There is a crystal clarity in the notes with this perfume that personify ice, peppermint, sparkling, white diamonds. This is perfectly named. The marketing team nailed this whole package design and theme. There's a lot of Tinker Bell and Disney in this, it is definitely animated and fun. I could see children really liking this! A great holiday fragrance! Notes: Top notes are lily, gardenia and neroli; middle notes are jasmine, rose and narcissus; base notes are amber, woodsy notes and musk. The first spray of this goes on like ultra FIERCE Bathroom Spray. This could be a complete turn off, if you are newbie to fragrances and don't realize that the first blast is not always the dry down. I'm trying this now, can definitely see this playing into the Holiday/Christmas theme - this is charming for that time of year. It definitely has a twinkle about it, there is magic in this one - I just need to see how this works for me in the dry down! So far -- it is festive, fun, has a sparkle and twinkle about it! There is a synthetic quality about this perfume, but over all - this fragrance leans fresh/clean. I like this so far, don't judge it on the first blast bathroom spray. Give this some time to mix with your chemistry. This definitely resonates with December and the Christmas/Holiday Season! I could also see this being worn in the hot days of summer as a way to COOL YOU OFF! It definitely has an icy cool edge to it, like a perfume refrigeration! Why didn't I discover this earlier? This is really AWESOME! ------------- This is LONG LASTING on my skin! Can still smell this over 12 hours after first spraying it! Awesome! ------------- Impression after a few days - I bought the EDT and the aerosol of the spray of this has a slight "Room Spray" type smell at first. The first 30 minutes this sits on the skin, but once this begins blending with my chemistry - it is much better after the initial spray. Give this some time to develop. The dry down is fabulous. I still think this will be great around the holidays! It is fun, upbeat, festive! ------------- I also tried Emeralds and Diamonds which is similar to Sparkling White Diamonds. It actually smells like Emeralds and Diamonds is the base to the additional notes which make up Sparkling White Diamonds. If you are torn about which one to purchase, they are both high note soprano chords with a strong tuberose component. Sparkling White Diamonds is a bit more complex with the Christmas Tea type blend, (it smells more like the aldehydes used in the original formula of White Diamonds). Emeralds and Diamonds is more simple, fresh/clean... easier for layering with other notes. Both are close to one another, I didn't know this at the time. I feel that Sparking White Diamonds is more holiday, special occasion - and Emeralds and Diamonds would be easier to wear daily. Passion, well... that's a whole different spicy sensuous vibe -- if you love purple type fragrances with a spicy twist - this is definitely another ET fragrance to try! I'm kicking myself that I never tried Elizabeth Taylor's scents before now! She had a great NOSE! I am loving the scents from her collection - these are really AWESOME! ------------- If you like this type of fragrance - and are looking for something that is similar, I would try "You" by Glossier. Both have a pleasant freshness about them. Sparkling White Diamonds is more animated and Holiday or cooling for the summer. "You" by Glossier is a more modern twist. ---------- A week and a half into the wear of Sparkling White Diamonds - It takes awhile to get used to the strong aldehyde nuclear strength blast of Elizabeth Taylor's fragrances. They all have this, according to what I have seen so far. However, the dry down is completely HEAVENLY! I really love this! This is another great Mother's Day type fragrance, a fuzzy warm hug in a bottle-type perfume! I don't know many women who would not like this - (unless this disagreed with their chemistry and soured in any way). This is so beautiful! Goes great with my chemistry! I really LOVE that I found THIS! I really think that young children would love this! ----------- This perfume would be great with a woman who likes to wear white crisp clothing - like a simple white boyfriend's shirt with denim jeans --- or a dressier crisp white suit or dress. I could see this going with a woman that has more of a platinum white type blonde hair coloring than a warmer coloring, although this perfume could suit any woman that wears this well. Your chemistry would determine if you could really pull this one off much more so than your coloring... still - there is definitely an "Ice Princess" - "Ice Queen" element to the frostiness of the notes of this - It is definitely pepperminty fresh, clean, clear. I'm revisiting this now - in the heat of the summer - We'll see! So far, so good! --------------- This is a super high pitched sweet Soprano type fragrance chord similar to the range of tuberose - which you may really love if you are drawn to that range of perfumes.

I've been collecting Elizabeth Taylor's perfumes. I find them interesting, well-made and each one I've worn seems to have its place in my perfume world. They aren't quite drug-store perfumes, as they are sold in Sephora and Macy's, also. Elizabeth Taylor wanted all women to experience her fragrances, and I think that was a wonderful idea that she promoted. I really don't know why some call them a drug-store perfume when in reality, they aren't. The idea was to market them to women of all socio-economic levels so they could experience the wonderful world of perfumery no matter where they shopped without snobbery. It worked. Except there are still snobs in our world of perfumistas that insist on turning up their noses at the line. They don't know what they are missing, I truly believe. Sparkling White Diamonds holds its own on my vanity amongst all my perfumes with integrity. I've found with the one's I've owned so far, six to date, there is always a very strong opening that seems assaulting. But hey-I fight back because I like the strong notes in the beginning. In the case of Sparkling White Diamonds, it's the mix of delightful florals. These perfumes almost appear to start out as a bullying perfume. They can be strong, brash and appear to be too much. But there are two things to consider: 1.) the application and 2.) the strength. All of her fragrances are strong and radiate well. Application should be minimal or sprayed at least an hour before leaving home. Even the EdT is very strong, so be careful. The EdP's change slightly and should be dabbed at pulse points. There is a lemony wax feel, not unlike a creamy furniture polish. It submerges the florals at times. Sparkling White Diamonds dries down within a half hour to a much softer version of its original self. Not a business frag, its a good scent to wear to dinner, to a party, or around the cold winter holidays. The EdP dries down to a sweeter musk and floral than the EdT for me, while the Edt dry down is sharper throughout. Both are very feminine. Either way, with both, I enjoy wearing Sparkling White Diamonds. Top notes come through loud and clear and when Sparkling Diamonds ends its run, its just a quiet musk. The bottle is a pale mid-blue clylindrical with a silver plastic cap and the traditional band of white diamonds surrounding it. The EdP bottles are adorned with little gold bows on top that can either be encrusted with faux diamonds and depending on the perfume, a faux emerald, ruby, sapphire or diamond. I'm looking forward to my next purchase of an EA perfume.

I already know that what I’m about to say is going to be a hot take and I do understand why people won’t agree. I recently got Stairway to Heaven by Jul et Mad. It contains a lot of all the things I enjoy. It’s a sparkling, fresh, icy, musky effervescent scent. Really lovely but it reminded me a lot of this fragrance. Stairway absolutely takes the cake where quality is concerned. It outlasts Diamonds in both longevity and sillage. I am also going to venture to say that it also smells better blended which most people write off as a misnomer in the fragrance world. Just because we don’t see the process behind perfumery, most people can absolutely notice the difference between a celebrity scent like this one and a high-end creation. One notable difference is how screechy SWD is at first. I’m not implying that they are dupes. They are distant relatives at best. Both smell the way you would imagine freshly snowed grass to smell. A smidge herbal citrus intertwined with cool, powdered musk. It reminds me of what Queen Frostine from Candy Land might smell like. Yes, there’s something giving off peppermint too like people have mentioned in SWD that is absent in Stairway. It lends the frigid energy something sweeter and unique. Once this dries down, I do see why people are comparing this to white bar soap. More specifically, it’s the steam that lingers in your bathroom for about 20 minutes after you shower as the amalgamation from your hygiene products. The frosty glass bottle design of each rightly give the impression these are winter scents and I find that applicable. I want to wear this in order to complement the frigid weather or on hot days when I wish it were winter. I had SWD years ago and I really liked it but ended up forgetting about it. I’m not sure why. It’s as good as I remember. I’m personally happy to stick with this over Stairway. I love celebrity scents but I tend to overlook ET’s for some reason. Maybe I subconsciously associate her house with being old-fashioned? I’m glad I tried it again. It smells more sophisticated than you might think. It lasts about three to four hours on me before I feel like I need to reapply. That’s really the only downside and it’s pretty minor. The price is phenomenal. 8/10 ❄️

This is the second time that I have tried this perfume - after a couple of years of trying other perfumes and writing reviews. My nose and taste have changed after sampling so many perfumes when I took on the task to write over 200 reviews. This goes on extremely bold with the strength of aldehydes found in the original White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor. The first hour of this is pretty bold - this goes on EXTREMELY STRONG. If you have worn the 1980's perfumes that have this type of strength, not to worry -- you will handle this strength really well. However, if you are the type that prefers softer perfume essences - then you will have to power through the first 45 minutes - to an hour, or this may not be "your thing". If you can hold on through the first initial hour - you will be rewarded with a really nice perfume dry down. The beauty of this perfume comes in the dry down - when the lily pierces through the chord with a nice clear soprano note, the perfume chord is memorable, bright, beautiful. ----------- I really like the results of this when it hits the dry down phase - The first hour is a bit too bold for me, unless I was planning to wear this perfume for a certain event. This is a statement type perfume. It is memorable because the perfume is really unique. Lily is an unusual note that I don't often smell in perfumes, or at least - not this noticeable note in most perfumes that I have reviewed. This sends a subtle "Ice Queen" vibe. I prefer a bit more warmth and sunshine. Love and White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor has less aldehydes and requires less of the first hour "power through". If you like a sweet more classic perfume - try Sparkling White Diamonds Lustre. ------------ I have been purposely wearing this one exclusively in the hottest part of the summer. I'm more used to the first 45 minutes to the hour now. This is an extremely great perfume for super HOT days! The more I wear this, the more I love this. This is ageless and timeless - this is fresh, clean, lovely - It does have a slight soap smell, but my first impression was more like Celestial Seasonings Christmas Blend Tea... yeah - the one with the white polar bear on it!

I like my floral fragrances to yeet me face first into a flower garden and Sparkling White Diamonds does just that. This is the 5th fragrance I’ve purchased from the White Diamonds line. The different creations are so richly varied but their value is in their elegance at unbeatable price points. The signature heart of the original White Diamonds, with its feeling of heady luxury, is here, but moved outside; from the candlelit intimate indoor rendezvous to the jovial Memorial Day garden party. Rich, waxy lilies are the star in Sparkling White Diamonds, the veil through which you can sense magnetic narcissus with the round powderiness of gardenias right behind. Jasmine is a backup singer giving this white waxy opening some greenish depth that pulls your nose right in. I’m also detecting a *very* subtle solar accord, like the sense of noon sunshine on a coldish day (aldehydes?). Rose is here too but until the top notes take their leave she’s giving air hugs from the back of the theatre, and comes to the stage at the end of the performance. I get about 3-4 hours of wear ending in a white-musky dry-down with powder from the amber. SWD kind of reminds me of a masterpiece of floral fragrance, Estée Lauder’s Beautiful; a big floral bouquet. SWD has a touch of retro vibe (I guess it is retro now, since 1999 was 25 years ago!!) I think this is because of the gardenia being so forward. I see a lot of reviews saying this is soapy... I wish soap smelled like this!! So glad I picked this up! It’s a lovely spring day trip to a garden full of white flowers. A smile in a bottle.

I’m beginning to consider that these Elizabeth Taylor perfumes are higher quality than most other fragrances, even the ones for hundreds of dollars. I’ve been wearing perfumes since the 90’s, but really amped it up as a hobby four years ago. The more I’ve experienced, the more I realize that cost and “prestige” have almost nothing to do with quality. Yes, I do love some expensive niche and designer perfumes... but I think between owning all of the Elizabeth Taylor and Sarah Jessica Parker fragrances, I have a near complete collection if I were just to keep those and add maybe five more. Now the fragrances itself: Sparkling White Diamonds. Yes - she does sparkle. At first spray I did laugh because the review below mine describes it as having a “baby wipe” scent... and this is accurate! There’s a little in this that, at least the opening notes, reminds me of a summer time substitute for MFK’s Oud Satin Mood. And I’m sticking with that - if you are a fan of OSM, but it’s too much in the warmer months, try this one from Elizabeth Taylor! I get the woodsy notes and I do get floral - being able to pick out the rose (although it’s not super predominant). I also smell a bit of what, to me, smells like orange blossom. This is a clean scent, but I’m not sure I’d call it a “freshie” because of the florals. I’m wearing it today on a cold, snowy day and it’s nice - but I believe the warm, sunny weather of summer will be a better climate to wear this in. Happy to have this one.

To me this smells of. real white lillies,green and dewy then I get a light jasmine ,citrus and a kinda soapy synthetic drydown but its clean and almost friendly. Nothing like the dominating, glamorous Governess that is the original White Diamonds, my grandma had a friend Mrs Jenny who used to douse herself in Diamonds and Rubies and WD and whether it was her large bossom or her overindulgence I always was leftafter a hug reeling and lightheaded, thus I equated Elizabeth Taylor scents, especially WD with matronly types and a suffocating miasma. My mother however has changed my opinion since she has chosen this as her signature scent,I have smelled this quite regularly and rightfully so,a frugal ,always well put together,quiet but assertive lady. This fits her personality well. On her the lillies are flung up to the high heavens, the gardenias and jasmine are all there ,luminous sweet and creamy white but surprisingly in the drydown a shy rose(that I never smelled on other people's skin before) peeks through growing out of a woody amberish base.This gets her the fawning compliments that escape her when wearing other more expensive fumes,and she loves the attention.With me it is a like but on my Mom this is a love.

I used to be obsessed with anything snow queen-like :) For this reason, I gave Liz's Sparkling White Diamonds a try! Believe it or not...this perfume reminds me a lot of True Star by Tommy Hilfiger. As a young teen I was given True Star and when I smelled Sparkling White Diamonds it brought me back. This is what I would call a light scent! It is much less overpowering by about a 1/4 of the sillage of White Diamonds. You are a snow angel when you wear this...for that reason S.W.D is wearable in the Winter! I can smell the Gardenia, Lilly, Citrus and woodsy notes! Wear this when you are going to work or out with friends :) This is what I'd like to call a younger fragrance surprisingly! Imagine you are laying in the snow making snow angels and a beautiful snow covered, fur wearing, blond Elizabeth Taylor takes your hand and lifts you from the ground. She places the perfume in your hand...you open your eyes...now you're laying in a cloud made of cotton. You can feel your back feels funny...you earned wings...Angel of the Sparkling White Diamonds <3

I just bought it in a body mist spray very cheap at TJMaxx. Couldn't resist after liking White Diamonds Eau de Toilette and enjoying smelling Dimonds Night on my daughter. I was prepared, that all of the diamonds are different. And these 3 are. So Sparkling WD opened to me more sweet like coconut/tuberose, vanilla. Then I felt an orange blossom and the dry down was so velvety and comforting. may be ambery, but still a bit fresh. But after reading the Fragrantica, all notes appeared to be different. I'm surprised but still can summarize, that it's not that simple scent you can think of. At least body mist one. It has very definite 3 different phases. I would say, if you are fond of something like Prada Infusion de fleur d'Oranger, you will enjoy it a lot (at least body mist version). I also like how all 3 phases appears during about 1.5-2 hours. Big like for me , especially for a spring time. Will perfectly work in winter. I'll check it during a summer time soon
