White Diamonds Legacy

With most fragrances, I try a sample, analyze the notes, wear it for a few hours, and then form an opinion. White Diamonds Legacy is one of those rare scents that pulled an immediate "OOOOHHH!" out of me. You know what I mean. No analysis needed. It just slapped me across the face with white floral gorgeousness. Legacy takes the DNA of the OG and polishes it for modern noses. Usually I mean that as an insult, but Legacy does it right without losing its personality. It opens bright and slightly sweet with honeysuckle, quickly revealing jasmine and gardenia. This sweetness isn't modern gourmand sugar. It's subtle. It dries down into a creamy (emphasis on that) sandalwood, musk, and amber base that smells expensive and elegant. But this is definitely more Princess Margaret than Queen Elizabeth. I doubt Ms. Taylor, practically royalty herself, would have settled for anything less. It's noticeable, but not overpowering. Soft, but not so soft that it's boring. It finds that happy medium, something the gloriously loud Elizabeth Taylor house is thankfully NOT known for. Maybe not safe for tight office spaces, but I'd say it's perfect for just about any other occasion. While you won't need a hazmat team to scrub it off your wrists the next morning like its older sister, the longevity is still fantastic. It'll easily last 4+ hours, from morning coffee straight through to the donuts you pretend you don't eat for lunch. Yes hun, we see you. The value you get from this house genuinely feels nuts to me. Some would call this a "cheapie," and while it is technically cheap, it doesn't smell that way at all. It's the epitome of a safe blind buy. Even if it isn't your usual kind of fragrance, it's a great one to have in the arsenal when you need to dress up with less sugar and more "I'm a functional adult" energy. Lord knows some of you (side-eye at very specific people) need all the help you can get with that.

If you love white florals, I think you will like this. Skin test, two sprays to wrist. Creamy smooth white fresh floral with a skin type Animalic background. A bit more like My Way I think, I have both of those, my way leans more citrus white floral bombastic, and l’interdit has the lush white floral skin thing happening. So, I was a bit worried that E.T. Legend would have that bitter fresh metallic mid notes that sits around on me as it does in E.T. Love and white diamonds, legend does not have that artificial middle, which is great. Dare I even say, this fragrance could be an alternative to Estée Lauder tuberose gardenia from their private collection which I also have, and that estee one is like white floral luscious seduction in a bottle, it’s so .. fleshy and fresh. -no gross icky smells, just trying to convey the richness. I would suggest you wait and see how this scent develops on your skin, do check if any artificical layers pop out and are unpleasant. It’s overall a fresh, creamy, white floral pleasant scent. I personally do vouch for this brand as a decent quality affordable range, but some of them go a little odd on my skin. I have, and have tested many from them and even if they aren’t my jam, they last well and give decent sillage for the money.

I recently blind bought a small travel spray of this scent. It looked like something I would like but I was taking somewhat of a gamble because of the orange blossom that doesn't always work for me. Luckily I like this fragrance very much. It's just a pleasant white floral - not too sweet thanks to the citrus and the base is nice and woody/ambery. Nothing remarkable but would make a very good everyday office scent. Gives me Modern Muse and My Fifth Avenue vibes in that respect. Projection and silage are moderate to intimate and longevity is average on me. If I can find a full size bottle of this in my area or online, if and when I'm done with this travel spray, then I will buy one.

I love this fragrance. I know it's not true to the OG but I'm easing my way into vintage. I know this isn't vintage but I'm working my way up to the oldie goodies. Legacy is fabulously wearable. I want to see how this layers with her vintage fragrances. I have every perfume in her line, except one. I have black pearls on the way. I love this and violet eyes because they are so light and fresh. I wish they lasted longer. I plan to layer with BBW. I'm so excited to play with these gals. They are perfect for spring time.

Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds Legacy smells nothing like the Original powerhouse 'White Diamonds' from 1991. 'Legacy' is a quiet, white floral, very soft, youthful, yes it does resemble Chanel Gabrielle. You need to have a little patience and wait for this fragrance to fully develop on warm skin. It is delightful, youthful, modern, fresh and energising. Nothing like the original WD. But worth buying to add to your perfume collection particularly if you love Elizabeth Taylor fragrances. Lovely. Highly recommended.

Very pretty, soft, Very long lasting (still pungent on my clothes 24 hours later). Transforms many times over hours of the dry down. I don't get any OG White Diamonds DNA. This is an original flanker all on its own. Crowd pleasing.

Just a gentle suggestion to those whose bottle smells different from expectations: give it a few weeks to macerate. Let it sit a bit, it may improve greatly. Same for other Elizabeth Taylor perfumes.

I got this perfume delivered to my door this morning, and I ́m really excited to try it on. I ́ve been looking for i for a long time. I don ́t know why it ́s so difficult to get the new ET-perfumes here in Scandinavia, but it is. I ́m not disappointed at all, I like it. I don ́t know if I ́m gonna change it into a ”love,” in a few days once I get to know the perfume better. IMO it ́s a more youthfull scent that other of White Diamond-family. It ́s a citrusy-sweet-lemonadeish- kind of scent. If I didn ́t know better I would say lemon is one of the notes, but I can see now that isn ́t the case, so I guess it ́s the bergamotte I can smell. It isn ́t a powerhouse like the original White Diamond, but keeps close to one self. But like I said, I like it, and I think it ́s a great buy, and will be great for spring and summer.

If I had to say this smelled like absolutely anything, I'd only be able to compare it to the smell of sunblock or even a white tea, sort of smell. It's very lightly floral, creamy, bright, citrusy, and a teeny tiny bit powdery. This is nothing like her other Fragrances! This is not vintage or dated, by any means. I often find that her other fragrances are a bit too vintage for my tastes. This one is definitely not that. But that means there is also a downside to this. This Fragrance doesn't have any real good staying power or the crazy projection like so many of her other fragrances. But with that being said, this is a very nice fragrance it would be perfect for spring/summer. Because it's so light, creamy, and fresh. I gotta say, I really love this !

Legacy, Diamonds & Rubies and Love & White Diamonds are my top favorite White Diamonds flankers. Legacy gives me a toned down L'Interdit vibe (not a dupe) where the tuberose is switched to a soft gardenia, making it easier to wear during day time and office. It starts with a pungent citrusy bomb that quickly fades into an elegant soapy white floral mixed with citruses. Sillage and longevity are moderate to light. edit: After a year the honeysuckle macerated making it sweeter and pink pepper is now present. It turned into a soft citrusy gardenia, light sweetness from the honeysuckle with a hint of pink pepper. The L'Interdit vibe that it had before is completely gone now. Still light sillage and longevity. Now it's a strong like, not a love.

The bergamot in this is surprisingly very soft and fresh. The white floral notes are gorgeous and not overpowering. The base notes add a lovely depth tying it together. In many ways this doesn't feel like the original White Diamonds (admittedly the flankers don't tend to) but it also feels like a heavily modernised lighter version of it. If this was released by a luxury house today it would easily sell for big bucks and be all the rage. I will however say that the Elizabeth Taylor fragrances released posthumously lack the complexity, intensity and timelessness of the ones released within her lifetime which I have tried (Passion, White Diamonds and the 'fragrant jewels' flankers).

Limited edition - had to add to my ET collection, got it on eBay. First test, creamy white flowers and some citrus. Seems to get creamier when it starts drying down for me. It may just be my nose but I'm getting an undertone of something earthy, a bit like vetiver. Not sure if that's the pink pepper, but I've smelled a pepper note in other fragrances (like En Rouge) and this seems earthier. Probably a "like". Update: I was surprised to see this for sale at my local Rite-Aid drugstore! Update: a later wearing, I notice the opening as a pleasant dry citrus this time. I'm liking that aspect.

Had to order to add to my ET collection. I like this fragrance. Love the bottle of course, still keeping with the original look. This is not a heavy fragrance. This has a creaminess to it. Clean smelling, and office friendly. Since I love, love, gardenia, I did add one drop of a gardenia oil to my wrist. Wow oh Wow!!!! For the price, and smell this is a good one to have. Longevity is a few hours (3-4), and I don't believe the sillage is going to overwhelm everybody. it is not headache inducing. Just a lovely scent.

Bright & sharp citrusy pink pepper opening, becomes a slightly powdery white floral bonanza of gardenia, jasmine, orange flower, all held together by musk. I don't get L'Interdit at all, this definitely leans more in the direction of Gabrielle given its sharp citrussy accords, though much tamer in terms of bite. Not a major projector so far, I expect 5 hrs tops. Definitely for hot weather, I'd find this rather lifeless in the cold.

I wore this to work yesterday--I really enjoyed it! It is a more modern take on the entire 'Diamonds' line. The amber note exudes class and a comforting familiarity. The gardenia note, along with the other flowers, makes me happy! You can tell that it has the DNA of the original White Diamonds--but, it is a fragrance all its own. It is appropriate for both day and night wear. Beautiful!

Very pleasant. I purchased this in a gift set. Very feminine and floral.I smell more white flowers and musk on my skin. This scent lasted me about four hours. White Diamonds Legacy is not my very favorite but definitely a good one for floral lovers.Mixes beautifully with Bath and Body Works Petal Parade. Very feminine and lightly powdery scent. Great choice for any occasion.

This does remind me of the original White Diamonds, but definitely adjusted to a modern aesthetic. Legacy is a great introduction to the line. Recommend.

This wears so softly on the skin that it could easily be confused with a soft lingering soap smell after a shower. This perfume is so soft that it could be a good choice for professionals that are working in the health field (like a doctor, nurse, dentist, dental assistant, teachers, etc...). This is so light and fresh that this would be a good choice for a children's or young adult's first perfume. I like this, there's nothing wrong with this -- however, this doesn't show up very much and doesn't have the typical silage or projection that I expect from a "signature" perfume. However, this would work for times when you are wanting a light, fresh, just out of the shower type perfume...such as at the gym, walking, hiking. This comes across more of like a "day" perfume, rather than evening... but on the right person, this could be worn day, night, and any season. I could also see this being layered with a heavier perfume when this starts to phase out and become so light that it is hardly noticable. This is basically a white floral, pretty -- clean and fresh enough where you could wear this at the gym or office and you will not offend anyone (more than likely). This wears so lightly with my chemistry that I can barely smell this after I have sprayed it 30 - 45 minutes. Skip this perfume if you are the type that likes for a perfume to have more silage and projection... you will not like this if you are the type that likes a stronger perfume and one that lasts longer. This is perfect for wearing to the gym or office, when you want a perfume to register as if you are wearing a light soap type smell, particularly if you are in an industry where you have been told to "cool it" and not wear so much perfume.

I bought this a while back and was disappointed w/ it. Probably because I was so impressed w/ all of the older fragrances in this line that Legacy just didn't seem to measure up. I put the bottle away and took it off my have shelf. I revisited tonight just to see if I wanted to keep it our give it away. I decided to keep it. While not my favorite in the line for sure I still like the bottle and want as many as I can get in this collection. I don't know if I will reach for this that often because it reminds me of so many citrus/white florals that are on the market right now. I wish it didn't have so much honeysuckle, I think that is the note I am struggling w/. But the more I smell it the more I'm thinking it isn't that bad. I know that isn't a ringing endorsement but that is the best I can manage. Legacy is a crisp citrus honeysuckle and pink pepper white floral that is lighter on the gardenia than I would like. It drys down to a slightly musky version of the top notes.

I just got this and spray a bit on my arm, and its so pretty! Soft, clean, inoffensive white floral with a hint of sweetness. Doesn't really smell like J'Adore to my nose, but it does kind of reminds me a bit of Avon's Little Black Dress and Estee Lauder's Intuition but a bit lighter. Really pretty and easy to wear. Definitely not as potent as OG White Diamonds.

Pleasant Powdery,Citrusy white floral. This is lovely, but I find it a little too rich for the summer heat. I like soapy, fresher scents. I'll need to try it again in the cold. Lovely if you like that profile though.

It could be an aunt of Gabrielle from Chanel. Modest, soft, but kind of distant, I don't see it on young girls, hence an aunt.

No, I don’t like this ET fragrance at all. I like the original White Diamonds, Diamonds and Emeralds, and Elizabeth Forever. I want to try Lustre, but I haven’t purchased a bottle of that one, and it seems to have been discontinued, as it is very hard to find. I would also love to try Black Pearls, but that one has been discontinued and is nearly impossible to find. Gardenia, Love and White Diamonds, and Violet Eyes are OK, but nothing to write home about. I don’t like White Diamonds en Rouge, Diamonds and Rubies, or Diamonds and Sapphires. Now I can add Legacy to the list of dislikes. It smells pretty good when I first spray it on, but not after it dries down. I mostly get the pink pepper, which I don’t particularly care for. This note always irritates my nose for some reason. I don’t like it too much. Sorry, Liz.

I tested this and I almost like this but Something in the dry down smells like a FUNERAL home like roses de Mais or decaying lillies. It shows no rose in the database. Almost has a carnation smell but. It’s creamy floral pleasantness then it reminds me of death too. I won’t be buying it. This was almost a like and possible love.

I have the entire Elizabeth Taylor perfume collection (apart from lustre which I haven’t been able to get my hand on) and love every single perfume under her name. This however has to be the worst perfume of her entire collection. It’s so generic it’s sad. I sprayed around 20 sprays (I’m a massive over sprayer) and that still didn’t last 30 minutes. I’m very disappointed in this one. It smells more like an impulse body spray than an ET collection. However the bottle is lovely as are all her perfumes. I’m glad I bought this as I want the whole collection and will buy any future ones still. However if you’re just looking for a random inexpensive nice perfume to buy, don’t go for this one. This would be suitable for a child or teenager that’s just starting to wear perfumes. I honestly can’t believe how underwhelming this perfume is. If your gonna go for an ET perfume I’d recommend in this order: 1. White diamonds original 2. Passion 3. Love & White diamonds 4. Brilliant white diamonds 5. White diamonds rubies 6.white diamonds sapphires 7. Emeralds 8. Sparkling white diamonds 9.black pearls 10.night white diamonds 11.Gardenia 12. En rouge 13. Forever 14. Violet eyes 15. Legacy Still not tried the lustre/ passion for men or the Eau de parfum White Diamonds. However I have the pure white diamonds parfum and it is absolutely divine.

Definitely smell White Diamonds original just lighter and fresher and a bit sparkly and citrus. The underlying DNA that's also in en rouge is there. Slightly like my way but more sour and fresher. It gets better with time. As it settles into my skin the notes really start to sparkle ✨✨ I like it and I like it more than en rouge. I will likely buy another bottle of this cuz it's definitely my style. It's 69 degrees and this smells musky and floral sweet! I love it! I think it smells at its best in this temperature. It is definitely my favorite white diamonds flanker 💗

I just received this today.it came as a gift set,with a 3.4 oz bottle,lotion,shower gel and a travel size perfume.it smells very lovely,but light and airy..in the initial spray I got a bit of the original white dismonds. It then faded into this floral yet velvety and creamy fragrance ..the lasting power is amazing! On my skin it lasts 4 plus hours..over a beautiful addition to the line..

I've always loved the scent of White Diamonds, and have kept a bottle just to smell, but not to wear as it's always felt a bit too mature for me in my teens and twenties. I'm 29 now, can anyone who owns this please let me know if you think this is a bit more age appropriate than the OG White Diamonds for someone in their late 20s? Thanks

It's pretty but definitely getting a strong 80's & early 90's vibe. Perhap's it'll grow on me. We'll see... For some reason, I'm getting an extremely faint, Vick's-type smell and I have a headache now. On second thought, this might go into the sell drawer...

I am very glad I got my hands on this. While not a musky white floral aldehyde like the original White Diamonds (which I happen to love), this is a bright, creamy, sweet white floral. She's more of a cousin than a sister.

Very beautiful affordable fragrance. Reminds me so much of Dior J’adore.

This actually smells better in fall than in any other season.
