White Diamonds Night

Two thumbs up for this patchouli beauty! A not-too-sweet burst of sparkling apricot-fruitchouli opens this baby and transitions through a powdery make-up & cocoa middle to a patchouli-sandalwood dry-down with touches of leather and chocolate. (note: this is after 7 sprays and 6 months of dark storage). Comparison to Rogue Rihanna: Very different scents however the opening of White Diamonds Night is similar to Rogue Rihanna in that fruitchouli vibe, with Rogue being sweeter and more strawberry aligned. Comparison to Fancy Nights Jessica Simpson: These are very different scents but the drydowns are similar IMO, White Diamonds Night has the sparkly fruity floral aspect in the opening that I don't smell in Fancy Nights. The sparkle fades after the opening but remains in the background nearly throughout. Comparison to Rebelle Rihanna: Although these have been compared I find them quite different, although there is a similarity in the middle of White Diamonds Night where you get a powdery make-up and cocoa vibe that reminds me of Rebelle. Performance: I'm not going to lie to you - this needs ~7 sprays (3-10) followed by dark storage for 6 months before really blossoming to have average or slightly above average performance. Any earlier and sadly I found it frustratingly ephemeral for an already ephemeral medium (couldn't notice much of a middle or drydown). At the 6 month point the juice has some juice - I'm getting arms length-6ft projection with a soft scent profile for 2-3 hours which then gradually contracts over the next few hours to a skin scent for a total of 6-7 hours. Great value if you don't mind storing it! Update 09/22/24: This is a special fragrance. Coming back to it after a long while, everything is so well blended now. From the first spray I get a sense of a patchouli-based fragrance with a slight vintage feel, and I get the comparison to Visa Robert Piguet. If I didn't have the notes in front of me, I would say that in the opening there's a rose-patchouli blend with hits of coriander and oakmoss, and also a slight jamminess, which could be apricot or a jammy rose. As it's drying down, it turns more earthy & woody with patchouli-sandalwood, and the patchouli has some soapy & licorice-y nuances which could be the night-blooming jasmine. Still an absolute love.

The House of Elizabeth Taylor has introduced another perfume for 2016 called White Diamonds Night, an absolutely beautiful and sedately warm, resinous perfume, quite unlike her original White Diamonds. Do not confuse this perfume with her others if you didn’t like her former bodacious presentations. White Diamonds Night is so completely different you just might become a fan of Elizabeth Taylor perfumes if you’ve never worn them before. This presentation is warm with resins and sandalwood that stay the entire length of the perfume. The initial spray gives you a slight citrus feel with a hint of apricot, not a fruity feel at all, just a hint of warmth to start the perfume. The sandalwood comes into play almost immediately and brings the resinous feel right into the heart of the perfume. Jasmine and freesia are two flowers that are notes in White Diamonds Night, but I could not pick up on them with my chemistry. Patchouli is in this flanker also, but it’s very light, barely noticeable. Musk is also listed in the drydown and it’s faint but enough to mellow the perfume. This is a familiar smelling perfume and highly pleasant. If you like vanilla-scented perfumes, you should enjoy it. The resins reminded me of a burnt, creamy vanilla along with the woods. Three sprays lasted 4 hours, altho the last two hours were a skin scent. I wear mine anytime, and especially love it wearing it to go to sleep. It's a perfect perfume for the cool nights to cozy up with and drift off to sleep. Wearable day and night, basically anywhere. The bottle is the same as the others except for the black glass. The name might confuse people tho. It is definitely nothing like White Diamonds at all. This can be cozy, seductive, warm and sensuous ... it's a delightful perfume that wraps itself around you with such a delicious gourmand-like aroma wrapped in woods. Available only at either Macy's, Boscov's or Belk's now at full price, I'm sure once it hits discount stores, it will become a perfume you'll smell everywhere. This ET is that good.

White Diamonds Night: Have just been bought a bottle of this by my lovely Husband, as he already knows how fond I am of all Elizabeth Taylor's Perfumes,& have every single one in my vast Perfume collection!! Firstly the box is very up market with it's shinny black back ground & embosed diamond bow around the top part of it!! The bottle is absolutely gorgeous!! Again gloss black with the most beautiful Rose Gold accents & ring of diamonds around it keeping very much in line with all the other Elizabeth Taylor Diamond Perfume Bottle design's!! Totally stunning & very up market & expensive looking!! Now the actual fragrance: One Word - Absolutely Gorgeous!! It opens with a Citrus/Orange refreshing blast,which after a few minutes changes to an Apricot/Jasmine fruity aroma, & then the most beautiful Musky Creamyness!! I Also get a very soft all most Coconut aroma on my skin with a subtle hint of Vanilla!! The base has deffo got Sandalwood & soft spices in it when it reaches that stage after many hour's of wear!! Although this beauty is called White Diamonds Night, I find this is absolutely perfect for day time use as well!! This deffo is the more softer option to the original White Diamonds which I happen to also adore & wouldn't be without ever & it's certainly not an old lady kind of smell at all!! I find ALL of Elizabeth Taylor's Perfumes to be very well done,& extremely classy!! I'm sure Elizabeth Taylor would be absolutely delighted about the way this perfume has turned out!! I've already received so many lovely compliments when I'm Wearing this including my extremely fussy Husband!!

I just got a great deal on a gift set at Khols, with the lotion, body wash and 1oz bottle of perfume for like $20, and I will most defiantly buy a 3.3oz when I use this up because I LOVE it! My Husband LOVES it! You get a hint of citrus in the opening, with the freesia giving a sweet peppery-ness in the background. Once it dries down a bit you get more of the floral on top of the incense-y base. The patchouli is not too much, with the musk, resin and sandalwood it is a balanced smoky-sultriness. The notes trick you a bit, there is a dark chocolatey sweetness my nose picks up. Upon awaking the next day, its a delicious ambery musk with woods. The whole evolution from first spray to nose to skin scent is enjoyable for me. I even like to walk back into the room I sprayed to smell it in the air. I really adore how this smells in chilly weather, or even on a cold rainy day. One of the times I sprayed on to test it was chilly and misty outside and oh, the wind was sort of wafting this awesome smell that I was just getting to know at me with the cool burst smell of rain. I was just waiting to get a deal and almost bought it at a higher price because to me it smells that good! I highly recommend you test this one out and see if its for you! Its new enough that there are testers but the price is very affordable. Did I mention my Husband loves it??? This was created after her passing, but I believe Ms. Taylor would have absolutely adored this fragrance. If you like Passion, or the Original White Diamonds, this fume should speak right to your heart.

Another "Made for Male As Well" scent from the ET line. Granted this was after her involvement of course but I applaud they way they have kept her spirit in these flankers and continuations of the line. I've been careful to not to get the too feminine ones, though there's not many, I of course stay clear of Gardenia, but in honesty that's about the only one men cannot pull off. Perhaps a few others may be borderline, but with my skin chemistry they all work fine. I've always said 8 husbands made her the expert to a point she couldn't even make perfumes without men on her mind. :-). I've worn White Diamonds since stealing my Grans in High School. Diamonds And Rubies, Black Pearls, and White Diamonds Lustre as well as this new entry work so well on me it's not even a question to anyone who smells them on me to ask about their gender label, so I take it it works fine as male scents. I've even worn Violet Eyes, Forever Elizabeth and Sapphires without question. I have always believed people get way too hung up on thinking people can tell scent labels to the extent they believe, I really don't from my experience of wearing almost exclusive "her" labeled scents all my 50 years of life. (Extremely obvious notes are exception of course, gardenia, water lily, magnolia, rose and perhaps a few other white flowers CAN be dangerous according to how they are formulated but that's where your nose knowns and can give you the best advice). In the end, BD Night is an amazing scent for men or women and continues the grand ET line with perfection.

I was sceptical when I was gifted a decant of this. All of the Elizabeth Taylor fragrances I've smelled have been too perfumey for me. This one gets close but manages to stop short of overpowering. The opening starts with some spice and a vintage feel. The jasmine, amber, and sandalwood come to the foreground and as it settles the freesia gives its wet and creaminess and combines with the jasmine. I do wish the flowers weren't so blended and I was able to focus on one or the other, but the combination isn't unpleasant. The resins are smokier now and it contrasts well with the clean freesia. The end result is something akin to dryer sheets balanced with spices and I'm really loving it, but after a few hours its' hard to detect. After several wearing some I realize I didn't want to like this. It smells just enough like classic white diamonds to make me hesitate when sniffing the bottle. Sometimes the silliage is a bit too loud for me. Yet, I totally love it. The clean freesia is perfect for chilly early spring days. The resins give the perfect contrast for those of us who don't like too clean of a scent but want that laundry fresh feel. Someone pointed out to me that the freesia is similar to Jo Malone's Pear and Freesia and they are right. If you liked that you may like this. However if you found that too soapy, like I did, you may still like this because the balsamic contrast makes it shine in an exceptional way.

Update #2 I am appreciating this melange of sweet, fruity, rich with the resin/musk/patchouli base. Today I noticed a salty nuance, which I don't always like, but in this fragrance it's balanced and buffered with the overall richness of the other notes. ------------------------------------------ Update #1 I think I'm getting used to this and becoming more open minded about the possibility of wearing in daytime. Maybe it helps that I've been trying more of Liz's fragrances and appreciating the richness of them. It's very nice. ----------------------------------- Just trying this one. I find it interesting that some people think this is suitable for daytime, though clearly to each their own. Maybe it's a generational thing with all the current fruity fragrances. For me the fruit and level of boozy sweetness makes this iffy for daytime. I'm still evaluating it but it's quite sweet by my standards. --------- Drydown stage is rich and pretty. Easier for me than the opening. Not feeling comparisons to Black Pearls, but I do get the echo of Fancy Nights.

Such a beautiful, smoky, kind of exotic, wispy perfume that smells wonderful on me. I would never have tried it if I hadn’t received it as a gift, because the iconic and beloved White Diamonds absolutely screams FIRE in a crowded theater and reeks so awfully on me that I wouldn’t have given the rest of the line a chance. WD Night, on the other hand, is quite interesting, surprising in the way it develops, and a little arty in a good way. Soft, woody, and sweet, but with distinctive notes - you will not smell like everyone else. It’s not heavy, but it does have body and 8 hour longevity. It doesn’t reach out and inflict itself on everyone - on me it stays well within arm’s length. I really like it very much and wear it often, day and night, whenever I feel like it. I purchased a back-up before it’s reformulated or discontinued or the price goes up exponentially. This is a lovely, somewhat complex, different scent that is an excellent value for now.

This is not the sort of fragrance I thought I would love. I'm not a gourmand person and patchouli is a note that I don't get along with. But because I'm on a crusade to try every Elizabeth Taylor perfume, I went with this one, and the balance is greater than the individual notes. I get the drunk apricot, and even though not listed, a hint of coconut/vanilla/chocolate. But the resins and the glorious sandalwood deepen the composition into dark mystery. This is rich, like a boozy fruitcake swimming in cream. It's also rich like velvet and jewels. I love it. BUT. The fatal downside is that the sillage and longevity is extremely weak. Very disappointing and not on par with her other powerhouse perfumes. This one would be impossible to over-spray, whereas a little bit of the original is more than enough. And speaking of the original--I don't know that this has anything in common.

I really like this! It seems like a very unusual (albeit very pleasant) fragrance--to me at least. My husband is very picky about fragrances but both he and our young daughter like it, too. I am not good at identifying all of the notes (not yet, anyway), but I get the fruitiness throughout, and I really love that. It's fruity yet spicy at the same time. I think the name suits it perfectly, as this very much feels like a nighttime fragrance. It is only for fall and winter, in my opinion. It has a darkness and a little bit of mystery to it...kind of like Magie Noire, though it doesn't smell anything like that fragrance. It's just kind of in the same vein. It smells nothing like any of the other White Diamond fragrances...definitely not like the original (which I also love). I think it's elegant and sophisticated, and it's very reasonably priced for what it is.

This perfume is so beautiful, I wear it for all occasions. It doesn’t strike me as a night-only fragrance and it doesn’t have massive sillage, it’s pretty subtle and you get the occasional waft as you go about your day. That being said it still garners many compliments, especially from men. I thought with all the resinous notes it would smell very mature and serious, but the sweetness makes it modern and the creaminess stops it from being too cloying. It’s so affordable that you can get a gift set with the matching lotion and shower gel for around 20$ and layering really improves the longevity of the scent. I am now going to try more ET scents, I already have Forever Elizabeth which I enjoy but is a pretty generic inoffensive shampoo type scent. WD Night is a better match for my personality, style and skin chemistry. I hope it’s never discontinued.

After a thoroughly unpleasant experience with Diamonds and Emeralds, I'm pleased to report that White Diamonds Night is DELICIOUS. Someone described it as a rich, boozy fruitcake swimming in cream, and that's about right, and for me there's also a dash of Fracas in the cream. The apricot, mandarin and freesia are probably what's making it sweet (and there's GOT to be vanilla in there!), and it *is* sweet in the most delightful way, with a sugared Nag Champa incense vibe – probably the resins and sandalwood. I do wish the top would last a bit longer – there's something really magical and unusual about the fruit vis a vis the citrus – but all in all I'm extremely pleased with this fragrance and will definitely buy a larger bottle soon. A must for sweet and gourmand lovers. 9/10 because the longevity could be better.

This is so gorgeous and delicious; a wonderful addition to the White Diamonds line. This is a resinous, floral, fruity and powdery concoction with some sweetness. To my nose the woodiness is very soft and rounded, with the sandalwood and patchouli adding more of a powdery goodness than anything else. I can also swear there is vanilla in this, even if it's not listed. I could definitely see Elizabeth Taylor loving this and wearing it, so I think they did a very nice job of staying true to her tastes and vision. I also sense an homage to vintage perfumes in this scent, albeit as a modern interpretation. Perfect for evenings, but imo, also wonderful as a cooler weather scent any time of day. When I wear this, I am constantly smelling my wrist or the inside of my shirt/sweater...it's that good!

This is only MY personal experience. Everyone opinion and chemistry is different. I think this is the most beautiful,sexy,alluring,intoxicating,delicious fragrance. On me it's smells almost gourmand. I usually don't like peachy smells but this one is so syrupy that it's like candy coated peaches and just turns it so addictive to me. My husband absolutely loves it on me. I get several compliments from both men and women every time I go out. The smokiness to me is just enough to add that boozy seductive sexiness but not so much that it turns masculine. The floral fruitiness keeps it still playful and fun. The silage for me is moderate and longevity is 6-8hrs. Just gorgeous. I love it.

I really love this perfume. I get pure syrupy peachy goodness with a GIANT splash of deep and gorgeous incense. The incense would totally overwhelm this if it wasn't perfectly balanced with the sugary fruity notes- neither overpowers tho. It actually reminds me of that popular incense from the 90's -Nag Champa or Sex on the Beach- maybe a cross between the two but toned down about 3 notches. Very beautiful. If this one leaned any more on either side of the spectrum (incense or fruit syrup) it wouldn't work but it certainly does. The lasting power is quiet nice as well and it definitely gets a bit smokier the longer your wear it. Projection is a hugs length. Very very nice.

This is what I wanted Spellbound from Estee Lauder to smell like. I never smelled the vintage Spellbound but I blind bought a reformulated bottle and was disappointed in it and now it is air freshener for the bathroom.. WDN opens w/ a ripe apricot covered in cream and spices and it continues that way throughout the time you wear it. I don't get the florals so much, they are a nuance. This perfume is all about romance and seduction. Men would love this perfume! If you want to impress a guy on a date or get your husband to take notice of you wear this. I'm telling you there probably isn't a man alive that wouldn't love this perfume. It is very creamy, lush and seductive.

Beautiful scent. I don't like the original version of White Diamonds...but Today I have sampled "Night" for a first time. Next to: Passion; Black Pearls and Night are my fav. So rich and dark. I see a beautiful woman... walking dressed in black...at night... she is a very mysterious...and has this type of aura.. not every woman has... Absolutely ... amazing... perfume...I saw it today at Sears it was expensive- $42 for a bottle. I have checked... ebay.. and it's the most expensive from all Elizabeth Taylor collection. It's truly...rare I am glad I have discovered it today. Def. on my list. Will blend so well with freezing weather during the winter.

I was gifted this during the winter, and it was love at first sniff. Definitely a cold weather fragrance, but I still like to wear it on warm nights before bed. There's something about this scent that instantly relaxes me, and I've never experienced that with a perfume. Call me crazy, but it has a Parma violet kind of vibe to it, and my partner has said the same. It's just gorgeous. I can't really say anything more, other than it's heavenly. This is my second favourite in Elizabeth Taylor's line. It's not the strongest, certainly nowhere near as strong as white diamonds, but it's far superior in my opinion because of how it makes me feel.

Mega fruity woody scent like ambrosia from the heavens! The apricot is creamy, like it’s been stewed in cream, and sweet and almost boozy, and I adore the woody base. The scent reminds me a lot of Mauboussin (another that I LOVE), though White Diamonds Night is more fruity and has the patchouli-ish quality dialed down. Lasts a long time on me with a pleasant scent bubble that I never go noseblind to. I really adore this one for fall nights and the winter, though it has a sort of retro quality, so definitely test first before buying. The price point is amazing, once I’m done with my travel spray I’ll pop for a big bottle.

I love this fragrance. It's such good value for money and unique fragrance. To me it smells like soft patchouli/sandalwood incense with a touch of fruit and some jasmine in the mid-notes that makes it very feminine. No screechiness to this fragrance It has a smoky, hippy vibe to it. Well done for the perfumers who blended this lovely long-lasting fragrance. Might not be a good blind buy unless you like stronger fragrances that stick around. The dry down is very addictive but with this fragrance you will never complain that it can't be smelt after a few hours because its staying power is fantastic. 7/10

Just beautiful, it's dark and mysterious a new love of mine. A blind buy based on the reviews and a $18 price tag and WOW was it a great buy. I lightly sprayed and was hooked by it lovely fruity opening but none of them dominating, The floral notes are beautifully blended, not over bearing leading to the sweet woody/musky dry down. For a toilette it packs a punch in lasting power with a non cloying, sweet projection. It's a dazzling feminine perfume that smells so lovely. I do advice to build up your spray's. This scent just keeps developing and grows prettier as it does. Now it's a new fav!!

I was just out shopping with my daughter at Walmart, and spritzed this. I ended up coming home and trying to find a good deal on a larger bottle. I found a deal on HSN where they had a holiday special. I got a 3.4 oz. for about 25 including shipping. I went to bed smelling it on my hand, and it just made me happy and was amazing smelling. It's definitely very balsamic, and almost smoky. On me, the dry down is amazing. It's classy, but also sexy and sultry. I even keep getting hints of vanilla, although that isn't in the listed notes. Does anyone else smell a smoky, almost woodsy vanilla?

Kind of amazing in that it is clearly a White Diamonds perfume, and yet my White DIamonds hating girl likes it--somehow it kept the feel without the elements she finds objectionable. She gave it to me as a surprise present, in fact. Equally amazing is that it has the velvety feeling I associate with civet, yet isn't animalic. And is fruity sweet as well. It reminds me a bit of Vanderbilt, in feel rather than notes, but more modern. Like Vanderbilt, I enjoy it so much I wear it along around the house just to luxuriate in it.

A definite gourmand fragrance with lots of ripe fruit and resins. There is a definite vanillic overtone to the fragrance that smells like tonka and maybe some labdanum. I wish this was a tad less fruity but the combo really works. This is nothing like the other fragrances in this line. A complete deviation. As for floral, I smell no jasmine and mostly freesia. Very pretty and unique. In the final drydown, the fruit is tamed and the sandalwood, musk and patchouli make the fragrance have a smokey aspect.

There are several fruitchouli smells that I enjoy wearing - among them Mauboussin, Gres Ambre Cabochard, Goddess of Gres, Queen Latifah. Night/White Diamonds belongs to same category - easy to wear, nothing innovative, yet pleasant enough in order to reach for it pretty often. You can smell all pyramid ingredients, mainly - apricots/mandarines, patch and resins. It suits to New Year mood very well as well - careless, joyful and homey. Price is good too, along with bottle design, so why not.

This smells like a basket full of delicious apricots sitting near a buquet of freesia and jamsine. Opening is very interesting because I get the sandalwood that gives to the apricot a very nice powdery twist. Fruity but not citrusy, powdery, woody, floral. The resins are also very present. Rich, intense and very aristocratic. This is how I imagine 80's would smell like. Opulent, glossy, a little bit plastic like, with the intriguing perfection of a super model.

Love this! The resins are thick and a little smoky, and the apricot and jasmine shine in this fragrance. It gives the impression of being slathered in a delicious resin oil after a very luxurious and relaxing bath. It's very womanly and complex. It reminds me of "White Soul" by Ted Lapidus, though this one is distinctly heavier. As the name suggests, it wears best in the night, but would also wear wonderfully on cold winter days. Definitely recommend!

I think I wrote off some of the Elizabeth Taylor fragrances as loud 80's and 90's perfumes that my mom and her friends wore. I still don't love White Diamonds, but White Diamonds Night has become one of my favorite inexpensive, classy perfumes. Sweet, rich, and warm, yet not cloying on my skin - every note seems balanced and nothing sticks out aggressively. Could pass for a much more expensive perfume. Love it.

Update: I still love this and it’s my signature. It really blossoms in the heat! I love to layer it with the cinnamon rose heavy Diamonds and Rubies in cold weather for a bit of warmth and spice. I hope it’s still around during Christmas so I can stock up on gift sets for myself and others. I really think this perfume would be lovely on anyone.

Just arrived today! I have all the diamonds in vintage form and I decided to try it! I was skeptical because it’s a 2012 and knowing that Elizabeth Taylor perfumes really were a hit and it’s heyday. I am pleasantly surprised. I really do love it. It’s sweet spicy oriental fruity not overbearing, but not shy either.!

I got this today after wanting it for ages and it is divine! upon first sniff it made me think of either night musk or odyssy by avon from the 90s. As it dries down i cant stop smelling myself. It is a bit musky, fruity, delectable and im now thinking i need a bigger bottle in case it suddenly becomes hard to get.

Sprayed this on my pillow over 24 hours ago and it's still there. This is a lingering sweet, powdery fragrance with long lasting softness, cozy and relaxing to wear at any time, not only at night. This smells very much the same as Intimate Fantasy by Britany Spears to me, I don't know why

Love this!!! Delicious, mouthwatering layers of balsamic fruity vanilla! Definitely a hot weather fragrance! The heat releases its scent magically and expels its aroma in its entirety. Luxurious and sensual. Perfect for hot summer nights.

I like it a lot. Indeed it's Woody but quite sweet at the same time. It's warm and cosy. Old fashioned? Not so much. Longtivity and projection are moderate to strong. I enjoy it very much. My kind of scent definitely.

Powdery, woody, deep. Old world movie star vibes. Vivien Leigh's icy stare. Hair perfectly coiffed. Both me (in my 30s) and my grandma (in her 80s and fabulous) wear this underrated gem. An absolute love!

A beautiful perfume with a powdery apricot and jasmine scent. I wear this with pleasure and it smells delicious.I love this scent its one of my favorites. I rate this Elizabeth Taylor beauty 10/10.

This is so beautiful and suitable for this winter im in. Creamy, dark, reseneous,. Dark orange fruits mixed well with the sandalwood. This is a steal of of a price for what it is.

Spicy boozy honey-apricot goodness. Old style glamour for a bargain price. If you like Tourjois moi or Charlie Gold this may be your style. A new fave for me.

I doused myself in this and my husband was like who's wearing braid oil? So now all I smell is freshly sprayed braids and weave. I knew it smelled familiar.

Omg this is intoxicating boozy sweetness in a fluff cloud of jam—- is so delicious in the freezing temps of winter 🥶

I am getting a spicy vanilla, chocolate and coconut. Must be my chemistry. Lovely.

This is just beautiful. It's going in my favourites cabinet. A+

When I first sprayed this, my nose registered this smell being more raspberry, rather than apricot. There is a high, sweet soprano note to this fruity aspect that at first - I felt like I should wash off. But after reviewing over 400 perfumes now, I knew better than to not at least give this perfume a better shot. If I had not known better - I would have assumed that the first minutes of this were way too bold and that I should just wash the whole perfume off, claiming that this was too over powering. The first 30 minutes to an hour are fairly intense with this perfume. When the dry down begins, the upper fruity note begins to morph more into a vanilla incense type smell, which - at this point, becomes irresistible. Don't give up on this one too soon. This gets better over time - and the dry down phase to this perfume is really where all the charm is. I'm sampling this today in an EDT along with Passion by Elizabeth Taylor - and White Diamonds EDT. I'll relate these 3 to similar chord progressions... they each have different energy and vibes - but the overall effect of this - is a grounded chord. Passion is a slightly deeper chord than White Diamonds in the EDT. The EDT version does not have such a strong aldehyde, as what I remember White Diamonds having earlier. They have done something in their formula to tone this WAYYYYYYY Down -- or the EDT and EDP probably smell much different. White Diamonds EDT - this reminds me of the dry down of First by Van Clef and Arpels... which is a classically elegant perfume that I get a tone of compliments on. White Diamonds Night - is the higher octave soprano with the fruity notes of apricot which shoot up in the rafters (borrowing the expression from singing - when the soprano hits the high notes). Elizabeth Taylor certainly had a great nose for perfume. The more that I have tried her perfumes, the more I have developed an appreciation for all that she did to help perfume evolve into what it is, today.

Moins glamour chic que White diamonds, un peu plus girly de par ses notes de chocolat chaud, il me fait penser a une des déclinaisons de 5th avenue d'Elizabeth Arden ( 5th avenue Night ) même si les notes décrites ne sont pas les mêmes les deux parfums sont très proches, ce n'est pas un parfum de grand mère mais plutôt un parfum de Femme entre 25 et 40 ans mais que les hommes peuvent aussi porter. Un parfulm chaud et agréable, par contre la tenue est faible... 2H maximum although it is not in the olfactory pyramid, the fragrance begins with notes of chocolate, creamy notes, then finally come the notes of resins .. no fruity notes on my skin personally, it is an underestimated perfume .. Less glamorous chic than White diamonds, a bit more girly due to its hot chocolate notes, it reminds me of one of the 5th avenue of Elizabeth Arden (5th avenue Night) although the notes described are not the same two perfumes are very close, it is not a perfume of grandmother but rather a perfume of Woman between 25 and 40 years but that men can also wear. A warm and pleasant perfume, on the other hand the holding is weak ... 2H maximum

Dare to be different! White Diamonds Night is my scent of the day--and, I'm loving it! This is a blind buy that I purchased, back in April, and I decided to wear it today. To my nose, it is definitely better suited for colder weather and nighttime; but, fragrance rules are made to be broken! I'm wearing this today at work, as an educator--unsure of what the rest of my day has to offer... I'm so glad that I decided to wear this fragrance today because it is awesome. White Diamonds Night is a flanker of the original White Diamonds, but it is very different. More so, than any of the other flankers of the classic that are in my collection. This fragrance is smooth and ultra-fruity. The patchouli matures the juice, but does not make it old-ladyish. The sandalwood and musk rounds out the apricot and other fruits-- creating a well blended juice--suitable for evening affairs like date night and elegant dinners. With initial sprays, White Diamonds Night is fruity and musky. The fragrance starts off as a power house, but it quickly becomes a powdery, sexy, yet sophisticated fragrance--with moderate silage and great longevity. My husband loves this on me! I think it's a keeper too. A great signature scent for someone in search of one. Definitely not a safe blind buy, but great for the woman who is sophisticated, classy, and marches to the beat of her own drum!

Warm, fuzzy, mature, lovely! I was a bit surprised at the notes in comparison to what I smell. Happily, there is no screeching freesia to my nose. A cozy, musky, well-grounded floriental with quite a bit of peach/apricot fuzz. This isn't sweet, edible apricot. It's a similar kind of peach/apricot skin to what I smell in Rochas Femme. In other ways the scent is considerably more modern than Femme, but the seductive warmth and maturity is still there. Recommended to those who love powdery, woody scents with a hint of sweetness and also for those who like vintage STYLE scents, rather than vintages themselves. To my nose this is sweeter than a vintage often will be, but also has that animalic goodness from peach skin, musk, and jasmine. Moderately quiet sillage and longevity, which can easily be extended by spraying on fabric or hair. Dry down smells of pretty and classic musk, very similar to that in Skin Musk by Coty. Excellent, likeable fragrance, and for this vintage lover that is high praise for any modern release. Note: Today, I received a complement when being hugged. 'You smell WONDERFUL!' So there you have it. :D

Sprayed my wrist at the dept. store and it instantly reminded me of something from my childhood but a tad more sweeter. I went about my day, sniffing my wrist over and over racking my brain trying to figure out what perfume my Mom had when I was kid, that this smelled like. Was is her Tabu? No, this is less sweet, more musk. Opium? Not quite, this is dryer and sharper. Tigress? Maybe, not sure, I remember loving Tigress but i don't love this, so maybe not. Think think. After work, I bought the bottle because I do really like it. It's dark, spicy, a little powdery and a little sweet. Wore it for a few days when it hit me. It wasn't my mothers perfume I was remembering, it was mine from High School. Tourjour Moi. The Max Factor version. I didn't really love it in High School, I got rid of it because I thought it was too mature for me at the time. So I haven't actually smelled Tourjour Moi in over 30 years, so my memory may be fuzzy, but this seems a little sweeter if I recall. Anyway it's very nice and I like it a lot.

This perfume is very girly and sweet, a mix of apricot jam and baby powder. Not dark at all, despite its name. Really, this leans into gourmand territory to me. It’s Chopard’s Casmir if you leave out the dark, rubbery vanilla and the pungent spices. Just yummy fruit and powdery goodness. Once I sprayed White Diamonds Night it took me right back to my preteens, and a quick search on Fragrantica showed me why. Apricot, mandarin, bergamot/lime, freesia, sandalwood, amber and musk. It smells very familiar to me because it has almost the same pyramid of a Brazilian perfume I used to wear, Capricho Day by O Boticário, which was released in the early 2000s, while White Diamonds Night was released in 2013. A funny coincidence. Both perfumes must share an original DNA. Maybe Visa, which I haven’t had the opportunity to smell yet?

I bought this based on the rave reviews that I have read, over the past year or so, on the forum boards. And, I have to say that I wasn't really expecting much. There are so many fragrances that are wildly popular that, for whatever reason, just don't work well for me. I'm sorry that I doubted you, Fragrantica. This is a real beauty; with the fruit and florals being balanced, sweet but not cloying, and just a really good all-season (in my opinion) fragrance. I'm a sucker for a good peach (okay, let's split the difference and call it stone fruit) scent. And, this delivers. I think this is a good scent to have for most occasions. Thank you for the recommendations.
