Lilac

This is one of the most beautiful lilac perfumes I know of. Elizabeth W perfumes are more of the soliflore kind, with only subtle nuances of other notes, so the other notes listed are barely noticeable. This lilac perfume is very natural, smells so clean and spring-fresh. Love it! One of my favorites of this boutique.

I just got a sample today, it is still a very lovely lilac! The other notes are faint and just to support the main lilac. Great for layering, low price, and I highy recommend! This is a small USA perfume house with great attention to detail!

This is very pretty lilac scent. As a point of reference, it is similar to other full-bodied sweet lilac scents like Pacifica, B&B, etc. as opposed to a green lilac such as is in Aerin Lilac or Rochester Lilac. Not that there is any comparison as far as quality is concerned compared to the former. This is small batch made by a little artisanal perfumery out of San Francisco and unlike mass-produced fragrances, the quality is apparent. It smells like real lilac panicles, freshened up with a little citrus spiciness from the neroli and freesia and a touch of vanilla deep in the base. In no way do any of the other notes take away from the lilac's naturalness and prominence in this scent. Wearing this I feel like I am visiting an arboretum during a lilac festival with the scent of their flowers in the air. It really is lovely. One of the things I am grateful for is there is no heliotrope in this perfume. I love heliotrope but I am getting pretty tired of it masking the scent of every new lilac perfume being made today with powdery almond nuances. I grow several varieties of lilac and have yet to smell almond from any of them. Though this is the second time and the last of a sample I am wearing of this scent. I like it but not enough to buy a bottle since I already have several lilac perfumes that I like just as much. Besides, this company not only changed the perfume bottle but the note profile too. The neroli and freesia has been replaced with jasmine and peony. Since I'm not willing to risk getting a completely different perfume than what I am smelling now, I'll take a pass.
