Baiser de Florence

I maybe have a spoiled sample, because the smell is nasty. I can't make myself to put it on my skin, but it seems to be very strong and potent. The iris-olibanaum-cistus is very peculiar and I recommend to try before buy.

I just want to warn others who, like me, may be thinking of getting this fragrance because so many people voted that it's similar to Bois d'Argent. I'm always on a hunt to find a perfume similar to Bois d'Argent but which will last more than 30 minutes because I love it so so much. I sampled Baiser de Florence but I don't find them similar at all (unless you count all perfumes containing myrrh automatically similar to Bois d'Argent). For me olibanum overpowers everything else in BdF. It's still nice but rather "flat" (lacking the dimensions of BdA) and I was very disappointed just because it's not even close to BdA. Besides, as it turns out BdF has been discontinued. Finally here. Bought this and another one from this line in Januari @ le bon Marché ( Paris) So refressing this womans art of composing perfumes. I was on the outlook for a perfume which smelled ( exactly imo) like Dior’s candle, 30 Rue Montaigne. Armani’s insence came very close... but this?!? BAAAAAM. I had to buy this instantly because of it... Maybe not so good for her originality but i promiss the other ones are nothing like ive smelled before. Very classy, all of them High quality. Smells rich and luxurios. Soft focus. Not to much in your face like many French houses often tend to do. Compliments? Yeah :-) Mind you, prizes vary. Not INexpensive but hey, what niche brand is?

Olibanum incense. It hit me with pleasure.. an amusement incense olibanum incense and tiny hints of iris. This one reminds me of the techniques of Meo Fusciuni. The colder it goes the more iris musk and more heliotrope rises. This one is cute from beginning to end.

It is a very nice and warm cosy note, on skin and on fabrics, it last for days! It reminds me a lot of Bois d’iris, very soft and musky. Perfect fo winter.
