Camélia K

For me Camelia K is a very beautiful and feminine fragrance with a distinctive character. The main role here, to my nose, is played by tuberose, but it is presented in an unusual way, with a delicate strawberry nuance. I have encountered a similar facet before in Tubereuse Astrale by M. Crivelli, and here this strawberry note accompanies the fragrance throughout its entire development, never fading or disappearing over time. The sweetness of the composition is very harmonious and well balanced, not cloying, but refined and airy. It is refreshed by a light spicy sparkle, most likely ginger, which adds liveliness and movement to the scent. I also catch a citrus nuance that gives the fragrance a pleasant, subtle tartness. Overall, the fragrance feels very beautiful, elegant, and truly feminine to me 😍 I especially appreciate its sillage, it is quite noticeable and tangible, which I personally love, as this is a scent I want to enjoy and catch on myself throughout the day. I first owned this fragrance back in 2023, right when it was released. But over the years, I kept mentally returning to it from time to time and eventually realized that it is quite unique for me. That’s why I decided to bring it back into my collection.

It has the kind of elegant, comforting floral profile that draws you in without ever feeling overwhelming. The white florals are beautifully blended, and the tuberose is especially captivating: creamy, luminous, and refined rather than loud. Camélia K is a classy, elevated version of L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge by Givenchy!🤍 This is the type of fragrance that feels effortlessly wearable while still leaving a memorable impression. 💐 It's comforting in a way that makes you want to reach for it day after day, and I can already tell it has all the qualities of becoming my signature scent. ✨💖 The performance is another standout. ⏳ On my skin, it easily lasts 8+ hours, maintaining its beautiful presence throughout the day without becoming heavy. 🌸 If you're a fellow white floral lover, especially if you can't resist a gorgeous tuberose 🤍, Camélia K is absolutely worth experiencing. 🥰🌿

Wow, this is gorgeous. It was a love at first sniff recently in my local Harvey Nichols. The AMAZING sales assistant very kindly gave me a sample, and on first wearing I knew I'd purchase it. I tried to resist, given it's not a million miles away from My Way Intense (which I adore, and is in my top 5 frags), but I really do enjoy this that much that I knew I'd wear both. This one is similar in that is has a bubblegum sweetness, a vanillic base that gives it warmth and depth, and obviously the white florals. I originally got tuberose from this, but I think this is actually more orange blossom and it's just the similarity of the other components that almost convinced my nose it's tuberose when drawing that initial comparison. The opening has a freshness, juiciness and brightness that stays for quite a lot of the wear, and for me it's that that sets it apart from MWI. I just find it so uplifting and feminine, playful yet quite refined. A total love! UPDATE: Just smelt L'Interdit and it does smell just like it!

A lovely and airy fragrance! The fruity beginning may surprise you a little - I can definitely smell the blood Orange and some sweetness from the dragonfruit. It’s really juicy and enticing! Totally mouthwatering. As it dries down, it becomes more floral, with a very light tuberose at the forefront. It does bear a resemblance to L’interdit Rouge and Rouge Ultime (definitely NOT the EDP or the Intense version), however I would say the L’interdit is screechy and sharp compared to this. Camelia K is so well blended and airy, it’s much more subtle and sophisticated and if you still think it resembles a designer fragrance, think twice. The beauty is in the blend - that’s niche for you! I absolutely love it.

This opens with a blast of sweet bubblegum tuberose, with a spicy and zesty ginger. It then starts to transform into a mix of florals... I pick out rose, tuberose, and orange blossom. There is a juicy quality coming from the blood orange and dragon fruit, I pick up on a pear note that isn’t listed. You get some patchouli in the dry down which is green and dense. The opening smells like L’Inderdit Rouge but then it starts to evolve and come into its own. Great spring summer perfume, lovely quality with about 6-7 hours wear on my skin.

I've been looking for a bubblegum tuberose but every L'Interdit so far has something in it that bugs me: the original edp has too much pear, edt is mainly orange blossom, Rouge it too rootbeer-y and reminds me of La Belle, Intense is too vanillic and nutty... Now by paying the extra 200 € all these "problems" have disappeared :D I love how airy and natural this smells yet still has that strawberry-bubblegum character that I love. It also lasts and projects without being suffocating. Lovely!

This is gorgeous! You have to like Tuberose though...but if you do, you NEED this! Its akin to the L'interdit family of scents, but deeper, more sparkling and "redder" if you will. A going-out, special, date-night glamour scent. There is also no mentholated mint note that I sometimes get with Tuberose, which is a bonus! I just wish these were not as pricy and more easily available in the USA - I want to try her whole Ella K line!

The scent is absolutely gorgeous, very rich and full-bodied like a floral bouquet, with an exquisite balance between depth/darkness and airiness/luminosity. The fragrance smells incredibly premium, though it's ridiculously overpriced. In my opinion L'Interdit by Givenchy is nowhere near this scent. If Camelia K is 10/10 then L'Interdit is 3/10.

At first sniff like L'interdit Rouge, but this doesn't have the malty aspect that L'interdit Rouge has. To me this has a tiny bit of that white floral menthol thing going on too. Beautiful but if you've got L'interdit Rouge, this is redundant.

While I understand the comparison to L'Interdit Rouge, Camelia K is generally more beautiful and has a much different texture to me. It's airy and lifts off the skin, whereas L'Interdit Rouge is sweeter and sticky, as if it's sinking into the skin. When I first sampled Camelia K, it stayed on my coat for weeks afterward. I wasn't mad about it because I find it really pretty and uplifting. It's a lovely and bright bouquet that I'd love to wear as a pick-me-up when I'm feeling depressed, but, given the price, I fear it may not be special enough to justify a full bottle.

I absolutely understand comparing this to L'Interdit, but I would argue that this fragrance is a lot lighter, more complex, deep, and multi-faceted, whereas L'Interdit (as lovely as it is) doesn't really develop on my skin. It's clean, sweet but not sickeningly so, playfully floral, and so-so-so sultry in the drydown. I may be biased since I love white florals, and tuberose in general, but I am definitely adding this one to my collection. I feel it's fairly ageless, appropriate for any season and occasion, and I would love to smell it on a man!

This perfume is so sensual and beautiful. It’s sweet and floral -without being bubble gummy candy sweet. It’s sweet in the way that syrup or honey are sweet. The deep, dark red of the perfume bottle perfectly mirrors the scent within—sensual, sweet, and seductively floral. I don’t get ginger, dragonfruit, or orange. This perfume is beast mode too, it last 24 hours on my clothes. I’ve never tried L'Interdit Rouge or Baccarat Rogue so I can’t comment on the similarity.

Camelia is a beautiful warm fruity floral fragrance. It’s rich, feminine, and well blended. Despite not usually gravitating to fruity florals, I like this a lot, especially the dry down. It’s strong and long-lasting - not office-friendly imo, but undeniably lovely. It’s pricey and hard to find in Australia (my bank account is grateful for that!). I’ve never smelled L’Interdit Rouge so can’t comment on its similarity.

A rich and creamy tuberose fragrance , very elegant, smooth, and beautifully crafted! I don’t really get any fruity notes instead, what stands out is an extremely sweet gardenia like creaminess. The quality is exceptional, but the scent leans a bit too mature for my taste. Its resemblance to L’Interdit by Givenchy is undeniable, if you already have that one, you definitely don’t need this. I 8.6/10

Smells nice: tropical juicyfruits (also can feel some red berries) and intensive sweet white floral accord. However, can be overwhelming if you’re not a white floral type of person (like me))). the opening is a bubblegummy, not-so-synthetic white floral—it’s essentially a really cute, easy-to-like, niche-quality, entry-level-smelling designer-like interdit/alien. really lovely, more similar to interdit than alien, and a lot nicer than its design sister, in my opinion. lovely but not revolutionary. kind of honeyed.

This is very feminine and pleasant, very mass appealing. If I would not know that this is a niche, I would said that this is designer hands down. But for the majority of this house (with only one or two exceptions) I can say that. Mass appealing, pleasant, and unremarkable.

Camélia K is a flirty fruity-floral fling. Bursting with zesty blood orange and dragon fruit, then blooming into lush camellia and jasmine, with warm vanilla-patchouli slinking into the experience. It’s like a steamy romance novel in a bottle, it’s captivating but costly.

Very similar to L’interdit, maybe a tad bit softer and overall better blended but not really sure it’s worth the exorbitant price. I love ella k perfumes in general and most of them are really pleasant but they all seam to be better blends of popular fragrances.

A beautiful slightly bubblegummy white floral, with some tart citrus nuances. Hyper feminine but slightly generic smelling in the realm of l’interdit rouge and other designer florals.

Orange blossom, jasmine and a grape soda like sweetness. Maybe a more complex version of L'Interdit however I dont find them that different from each other.

The notes breakdown looked very promising. However, on me this perfume smells like a fruity smoothie with a bit of ginger. It's neither cheeky nor classy. Maybe not bland but still somewhat boring trying too hard to be original. Like wearing a peplum top with a pencil skirt for your office Christmas party. I even prefer L'Interdit Rouge to this one in terms of uniqueness. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Too close to the new L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge Ultime. The dragon fruit note doesn't last long enough to warrant the price. Also, the L'Interdit Rouge Ultime has a better performance on me. I have two other Ella K fragrances and I love them both, but I wouldn't recommend this one. :(

Smells EXACTLY like L’interdit Rouge . Except this one is just more refined and opening isn’t as harsh . However . Not worth this price point if it smells like a designer...save your coin and get L’ingerdit Rouge

Camelia K has nothing to do with camellias at all. Beautiful, wearable, sweet, but not cloying white floral. Youthful, bright and lively. Truly similar to the L'Interdits, but less cloying, less dense.

It's fine, it just smells like one of the more expensive sephora designers. Skilled perfumery with dirt-cheap chemicals and no inspiration. Next.

This is gorgeous but it really is just Linterdit Rogue for £235. Performance identical too - moderate to strong

Reviewer below (and many others) are spot on. This is just a way more refined Linterdit. I truly hate Linterdit and all its flankers they are all disgusting to me. However this is somehow not as nauseating. Something I see a bougie 60 year old+ wearing.

It reminds me of Aigner's Debut. The scent is an okay, sweet blend of orange blossom and tuberose. But it's a bit cloying, and I don't think it's worth the price.

It’s a serious nuclear weapon . After 2 sprays in the air kept opened windows for an hour . Absolute disaster . What a performance 🙈

IMHO ita a super expensive and overhyped dupe for an awesome classic Burberry London for her. In fact Camelia K seems to me much rougher at the start - right up your nose and overpowering. Burberry London for her ia softer and more rounded , I would say a flirty version of Ella K creation. The drydown for both is identical. I would prefer Burberry, in fact. Camelia K is way too loud for the first hour and makes it very tough the first hour or so to sustain, almost headache inducing, until it reaches the stage of creaminess which Burberry provides from the very start. I must admit that the dry-down is awesome. But again - it’s my opinion only. 3 days later- edit: The blotter Camelia K smelled amazingly intoxicating and I got a 10ml decant. Indeed, it takes the scent to a deeper and darker depths than Burberry london woman: Camelia K is the winner, a very seductive jasmine. I would say, for those who are familiar with Xerjoff Quattro Pizzi, it is for tuberose what Camelia K is for a jasmine. Seriously considering a full bottle.

Does it smell like L'Interdit Rouge? Well, yes. But there are nuances from the camelia, pitahaya, and rose that change this perfume into something brighter, fresher, and more transparent from the syrupy orange blossom/tuberose of L'Interdit Rouge. Ella K has several perfumes that smell like other perfumes on the market but are just the best renditions of them. They also come with a hefty price tag so it has to warrant a love great enough to pay the extra $200. Musk K smells like Sonic Flower but Sonic Flower is $100 for 50mL and You is $60 for 30mL. Camelia K is quite different than LR with those middle notes, after the similar blood orange, OB, and tuberose-there's tonka, pitahaya, rose, and camelia and it really changes the fragrance for me and this would be more like a flanker to LR. It's a very youthful and pretty fragrance and would make a very good "pretty girl" fragrance. I could see this being a signature fragrance as it could be worn for most occasions and in all seasons. Might splurge and buy a fb.

Develops a rubbery hint on my skin, the same as Chant for the Nymph does. The first few minutes are wonderful, then it tips away into rubberiness for a short while. I can see the slight honey quality as in L'Interdit (OG, I do not get Rouge at all :/ ). No ginger no camellia maybe a tiny bit powdery if I look hard enough. It is just nice, & as others have said, more designer than niche. But if what we mean by that is it's just - nice, well it IS really nice, once I get past the rubber stage (becomes unexpectedly cooler & fresher).

This does smell similar to L'Interdit and or it’s variants but this is the elevated, sexier sister. It’s what I wanted from L'Interdit honestly. Performance is amazing and people just really love this smell. Seriously! Lots of compliments with this one! I debated for months wether to buy it since it does smell similar to L'Interdit, not exactly but you’ll definitely get the reminder of it but the more I wore my sample I smelled the differences between them and loved it so for me it is FB worthy.

I am not able to recognize versions of L'interdit from each other so cannot tell if Camelia reminds me any of them, but yes, after spraying Camelia, it immediately reminds something you would find in Sephora. The difference though is that Camelia does not smell synthetic and it also lasts very long time and projects like crazy. It smells like top quality mainstream that will bring tons of compliments because it's breathtakingly beautiful and feminine.

Interesting. I’m a gardening lover and planter of camellias in my subtropical/warm temperate area of Australia where most of them grow like [slow] weeds. Modern hybrids disappointingly have no scent. The only camellias that I have found to be scented to my nose are some sasanquas, which smelled like pollen tea. Very strongly of tea. Not so surprising when you think about it. But definitely not tuberose......

"My eyes stopped on a wild red camellia with its scarlet petals in bloom, I was dazzled..." A morning bathed in dew among flowers: Camelia K wants to represent this. A sweet floral, with fruity nuances thanks to the "Dragon Fruit", among the flowers I mainly smell a light tuberose, jasmine and a little rose. Hyper feminine, it is part of the floral series that unfortunately I wouldn't wear, it's not for me.

I really enjoy this and would wear this as a middle aged guy for those bold fun-loving days. Has quite an addictive accord and I’ve gone back to it multiple times. I was unfamiliar with L’Interdit line, and on first inspection it was miles apart, but on closer inspection I do get similarities. But the Ella K is definitely much much better quality, more ethereal wearing and less ‘perfumey’. Solid release!

Very natural smelling light fragrance. The fresh red fruits almost strawberry like at the beginning are absolutely to die for. Unfortunately it's mostly soft white floral after that.. Very likeable, I can't imagine anybody would dislike this scent for it's natural and soft smell. With this price tag though I would expect better projection and lasting power. It's pretty much a skin scent...

For something named Camelia, I’m disappointed that I don’t pick more of that up in this fragrance. It should be called Tuberose, because that is what dominates this to my nose. Not a bad perfume, but it seems there are numerous options available with a similar feel and lower price point. Probably great for a tuberose lover, but look elsewhere if you’re looking for camellia.

This has a lot more ressamblance with JPG classic than l'interdit. It's literally JPG (1993) DNA. Beautiful fragrance.
