Musc K

Your skin chemistry really comes into play with this type of fragrance. This is beautiful to me. I get complimented on this by men & women. I've had a man tell me in the middle of his sentence when he caught whiff of it that I smell really nice. I asked if it's too strong. He said "Its just right." My husband will cuddle me all night long with this fragrance on my neck. To my nose, it really is Glossier You but way better quality and lasting power. I can smell this for hours. It is best applied right after a nice relaxing shower. I feel like if you apply this without showering first it'll magnify the scent of your body odor and ...sometimes that might not be a great thing- like someone below said it smells like you've sweated and tried to cover the sweat smell up with this scent.. I can see that but at the same time if you've showered first and already smell squeaky clean then this scent will also magnify how clean you smell. At times I'll layer it with leau papier. It is Gorgeous cloud of clean white musk layered or alone. If the notes interest you, you need to test this on skin. I'd also go as far as to say the temperature of your environment also comes into play. I've had this feel way too much for me in the high sticky humidity /heat -- i can admit it becomes too much for me... same with glossier you. . If I overspray that one in the high heat I can get nauseated. A good thing is that you does not last long at all so it would be a plus for that reason alone. in the right temperature it's flawless. Either way, this is in my collection.. I probably won't have to repurchase for a while because it's that potent. I get great longevity/ sillage out of 2 to 3 sprays per use. I feel like the full bottle pays for itself given that it is a beast mode musc scent. Probably one of the strongest in its scent profile. This is one where it truly depends on your chemistry / environment I guess! If you love glossier you but dislike the longevity try a sample or decant if you can because I have both and they really are so similar in terms of scent. The quality is yards apart- musc k being of course the better quality one. Because of the price, I can see why some people would just settle for the more affordable option and keep topping up through the day. This, however, for me, is a one and done application. Go easy on the trigger. No matter the bad reviews, don't knock it until you've tested it for yourself.

This is the one and only time I will be able to review Ella K for some time because I could only afford one 1ml sample vial from Luckyscent and I chose this one because I heard it is one of the best fragrances of 2023. I don't have anything else from Sonia at this time, but I hope to have more in the future. For some reason, I'm having a hard time describing how I feel about this fragrance. Because of that, I want to say this is a very safe wear simply due to its non-aggressive attitude. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes it isn't. It is a very beautiful fragrance profile, but today I would like something with a bit more personality. I am aware that comment is very personal and will certainly change depending on my mood. However, I think the comment is helpful if you are searching for something that can potentially calm you down and help you relax. It almost has a lavender-like quality in that it promotes aromatherapy style relaxation. I suppose that's what I mean when I say it lacks a strong personality. It does not have an attitude and it doesn't yell or scream. Perhaps I should say her personality is quiet and subdued. Still beautiful nonetheless. The Iris comes through as well as the musk; there is a prominent light and airy quality mixing with the typical powdery make up scent profile. This is not groundbreaking, but it is a fragrance done well. If you are looking for something to wear to the office, or to school, and you want to be approachable while still smelling unique and luxurious, I do recommend Musc K. I don't think it will allure, but it will impress. It rides the line between clean and cozy, professional and personal, serious and fun. This further emphasizes my recommendation to wear this out in public. It will create inquiry because there is a quality about it that's different while still maintaining the mainstream clean and classy attitude. There is no serious shift or change from the opening to the dry down, so it is safe in that regard as well. Overall, Musc K is worth the trouble collecting the sample if you live in the United States. For everyone else, the brand certainly has potential and is worth further exploration. Especially if you understand what mood you are in!

Musk K is a fluffy, soft and gentle musk centric scent! A truly outstanding creation suited to people who wear fragrance for their own enjoyment not compliments. It’s a special kind of musk from everything I have or sampled before and I would really love to have this in my collection. It’s my favourite fragrance from Ella K brand. It’s a sweet and creamy musk with pink pepper touches, woodiness coming from cedar and some powdery iris. The iris in here is gorgeous! Normally not my favourite note in fragrances, but I love it here. And this is not a gourmand scent where I usually tend to get along with iris. I am not sure if sand lily is supported to smell like a normal lily or it would smell differently, but it blends so well with the musk and wood here and offers the whole composition a creamy floral feel. I am finding myself very tempted to get a bottle of this. The scent is gorgeous and feels so comforting, the packaging looks expensive and heavy, an opaque, white marble type of bottle with the usual golden cap! A winning combination for someone who has expensive taste, loves a white, clean musk and is not expecting a beast of a scent. A gem of fragrance for cozy days when you need something to boost your mood! The musk in here and the overall feel makes me think of the musk from Sunny Side Up from Juliette has a Gun, but that one is more floral and coconut heavy. Musk K would be the fall version of that!

This is one of those perfumes that you should try it on your skin. When I first sniffed it directly from the bottle it was nothing but a doppelgänger of Glossier You. I was so disappointed not because I hate You (in fact I love You!) but because I was looking for something new. I sprayed it on the blotter to see if it'd develop. It didn't. It was still Glossier You. Usually I would just give up and walk away but there has to be something for a perfume to get this much hype, right? So I decided to spray it on my wrist anyway without much expectation at that point. And I gasped. It still had the Glossier You vibe but it was something new. An unexpected newness I didn't know I was craving! Musc K, to my nose, is very neroli forward perfume. It almost feels like it's a cousin of Eau des Sens from Diptyque (but fluffier and softer, I'd say). Neroli isn't on the note list but it is neroli to me somehow. And this is the first ever neroli perfume my nose can accept without giving me an headache! I had adored the scent of neroli itself but it always gave me an headache... You've got no idea how happy I am now. It is fresh and clean just like everybody says, it's true. The ultimate white t-shirt perfume for sure. It is white but with a hint of greenness IMO, making it even fresher. I love this. The only down side of this is the price tag. Damn.

I think musks are one of the hardest categories to review/recommend. They often smell different on different people but the notes are usually similar. I’ve been on the hunt for my perfect fluffy white musk and I’ve been a real Goldilocks about it. I don’t like musks that are too fruity, too floral, too resinous, or too aldehydic. This is why Musc K is my current reigning champion of all the one’s I’ve tried (and I’ve tested a bunch): 1. Its equal parts clean, refreshing and cozy 2. The sand lily note is noticeable, and gives it this sensual heftiness. 3. It’s the most ‘beast mode’ musk I’ve come across. I get about four hours of projection before it becomes a skin scent However, I agree with some of the cons other reviews mention: 1. It opens pretty screechy 2. It leans fresh laundry 3. There is something a bit earthy or grainy about it? Which can be off putting - especially if you’re looking for a sweeter, creamier profile. I don’t think this is a ‘your skin but better’ musk. It’s a ‘nestle yourself into a bed of floofy clouds’ type ... if that makes any sense. All in all, Musc K is a clean and luxurious scent to my nose, and oddly my partner is crazy about it as well and finds it to be sexy and sophisticated... so it’s pretty full bottle worthy imo.

This is an excellent example of a musk perfume but I’m not entirely sure it is worth a purchase if you already have other musks in your collection. After obsessing over Musc K for a while, I finally obtained a sample and compared it to 2 other musks in my collection, Diptyque Fleur De Peau and JHAG Musc Invisible. MK - coziest of the 3, luxurious cashmere sweater vibes. Sandy and a touch woodier than the others. There’s an underlying hint of what I can only describe as “dirty musk”, a scent I usually detect in Mancera/Montale frags. FDP - ice queen vibes with the Iris and aldehyde backbone. A melancholy and contemplative perfume. Super clean, unique and high quality. My pick on the bunch. MI - more floral and fresher than the other 2. This is more light hearted and sunny. Although it doesn’t seem to last very long on me, for the price it is a quality option to scratch the itch. I thought Musc K would go straight into the Wishlist but it feels a little redundant since I own the other 2. Definitely worth exploring though!

I was lucky to see the ELLA K booth at the Pitti Fragranze perfume show. Among all the perfumes there, I met Sonia Constant, the brand's founder. Meeting the person who crafted many famous and beautiful scents was a special experience. She showed me her newest creation, Musc K. Right from the first smell, and I loved it. It starts fresh and salty, reminding me of a gentle sea breeze. As it settles, the mix of pink pepper, vetiver, sandalwood, and sand lily becomes more noticeable, all tied together by a warm musk scent. Wearing it feels comforting like being wrapped in a soft blanket. Somebody said, "It could be a body lotion, shampoo, cosmetics, laundry detergent," and it's spot on. It is something that makes a nice cocoon around you. I plan on using it often as a morning/day scent. I've been wearing Musc K for the last few days, and its subtle charm makes it easy to love. It's going to be a big hit. It's been a highlight and one of my top picks from Pitti.

This is my second best musk fragrance I own and love (first being Diptyque Fleur de Peau) and the story for both are the same in my case. I'm usually into spicy fragrances so I was surprised by how addictive this one turned out to be for me. I didn't expect to be into musk fragrance this much! Same was with Fleur de Peau. At first I didn't like it. But now I can't imagine not wearing it at least once a week. For the days when I want that soft, clean-girl energy, Musc K captures that perfectly. I'm also on the look out for best bridal perfumes at the moment for my friend, and I plan to give her sample of this to try. If this was my wedding, I think I would opt for this one or Fleur. I also wear it to sleep sometimes. It is very smooth, creamy, warm. Dreamy and safe. This kind of smell is very personal though and will change depending on your mood and personality. For me, it's comforting and quietly addictive.

This is addictive... I'm telling you, be careful! I sprayed this on in a shop, went outside, and came back an hour later to buy this... Addiction is the word for this perfume. I could not stop smelling my wrists and hair, at first on paper it appeared like a bit of weird perfume, but when I tried it on my skin... YES! This one is definitely a perfume that changes your skin, so I believe it may even smell very different on each and every one. As musk tends to be sometimes sharp and cold, here it's smooth, creamy, and very warm, a bit sweet and very very alluring, I love how sexy this kind of perfume feels. To me, this is definitely a feminine scent. Very intimate and seductive at the same time, while still staying cozy and inviting. It feels just like your natural skin scent, it blends in s perfectly. The longevity... I could not ask more! And The projection is superb! Beautiful beautiful beautiful!

It took me a few wears of this to actually understand this fragrance. As someone who’s owned glossier You, sonic flower, fleur de Peau AND musk therapy by initio, Musc K is like the best parts of all of the fragrances I just listed into one fragrance. So yes, it’s kind of the same as all of those but it’s also it’s own fragrance too. Upon first spray I immediately get glossier you and sonic flower. As it settles I get kind of a floral note and It becomes very reminiscent of musk therapy to me with fuzzy laundry vibes. But THEN, (after about 30 minutes I’d say) it becomes just this musky, iris-y clean scent, it’s quite beautiful actually. The longevity is surprisingly so good. I do wish it came in a 50 ml because of the price but ultimately I think it’s worth every penny.

First of all, Ella K has some amazing perfumes, although they are not cheap. This is one of my favorites from the brand. It’s a clean, musky, ‘white’ scent, I find it less ‘laundry detergent’ smelling than some other people commented below. I don’t find it similar to ‘powdery orris - Nishane Meant to be Seen’ either, like others mentioned below. For me, this is just the definition of clean. It starts a bit harsh but that definitely doesn’t bother me, kind of enjoy the peppery opening. Dry down is smoother. And longevity is amazing, probably the longest lasting from all my musky fragrances. I suggest you sample it before buying, I feel Ike you will either love it or hate it. Perfect for layering too! Works well with almost everything.

I just had to write a review on this. I love Sonic Flower and Glossier You, but don't find this similar at all. This is an absolute power house musk - as strong and sexy as you could imagine. Wow. An overdose of Ambrette and Ambrofix, with a large dose of mixed musks including moxalone mean this enters before you and leaves days of scent-trail. The vetiver is a genius edition, indicating the across-the-desert warm breeze Sonia Constant talks of in her description. There's a kiss of iris, but only enough to make this perfume a tiny bit graceful, rather than being it being discernable. Also bringing some spice to the mix is the pink pepper top. Damn... love at first sniff!! (Musk fragrances are really my cup of tea), it’s really as most of the comments said below it’s not something wow or new but THIS IS A PERFECTION !! I really like You & sonic flower but found it way too simple and lacking of something but this does smell similar to those fragrances but with depth and sophistication!! I really like the fragrances that Sonia made for Narciso and I really have high hope on this it does not disappoint me hahahha IM GOING TO BUY A FULL BOTTLE this year! I think it’s all year round super unisex , if you’re finding “your skin but better” type of fragrances in niche, this is for you Update: got an 100ml 😀💙❤️🔥 I really really like it

I got this because of the comparisons to sonic flower and glossier you, which are two of my favourite perfumes. To me this is a very close scent to glossier you but stronger. I would highly encourage glossier you lovers to sample this because it might be your solution to finding a stronger version of it. It almost smells like you have put cotton and linen to hang out to dry on the clothes line and have forgoton to take it in before you head away for a weekend away, when you get back the linen has been aired out by the most pure clean breeze thats almost removed the laundry detergent scent and you're left with the most purely clean smelling cotton and linen.

Lovely fragrance...initial spray it reminded me of Glossier You & Henry Rose - London 1983, yet it’s the MOST standout of them ALL🥰!!️💓 The bottle is soo chic with a heavy cap, I got the NEWER frosted bottle, plus the atomizer is perfection. I went around my Hubby after showering & spraying this perfume on, & he was like YES, I like your fragrance...trust me when he speaks up, it means a lot since generally it can feel like pulling teeth to get him to recognize my fragances. This is a fragrance you can truly wear anytime, & spray as much as you like...it’s one I am going to LOVE over spraying.

Very soft, modern powdery musky scent. It resembles a little bit of Diptyque Fleur de Peau perfume. What surprised me is longevity and sillage. Way better than expected and actually quite strong. In a way it acts like molecular fragrance with powdery musky theme; at first spray the smell almost is "running away" from your receptors, you cant fully grasp it. Just after one hour you will feel this fragrance fully blossomed. It reveals itself as the most sensual, cozy, freshly powdery and modern scent. It never overwhelms, with its sillage but stays at its course for HOURS. On my wishlist! 9/10

The dominant note I get is a candied but still flavorful pear. Underneath you can smell a shy powdery floral iris and warm musks. I couldn't identify the vetiver at first but indeed it's definitely there, properly dosed in order to give a solid base to the fragrance without overpowering it. Also, I'm not sure about that but I thought I smelled a trace of some plasticky note in the opening, nevertheless this completely disappeared in the drydown. It's so refreshing to smell that kind of skin scent, with no scratchy laundry-like clean musc, only warmth and soft comforting sweetness.

After a long while of searching I had finally procured myself a bottle of the coveted Musc K. Initially I was a little disappointed that it did smell VERY similar to Glossier You, a scent which I had to return because of the stench it left on my skin and the pathetic longevity; however, Musc K never turned weird on me and it lasted and lasted. It is just so much more pure than Glossier You, and the fragrance evolves so beautifully as time goes on. It stays airy, transparent and delicate all day and it’s like a classic white T that I can see myself wear it all year round. LOVE.

I blind bought this and when it arrive, I immediately sprayed it on my wrist. It is really a lovely musk, a very likable one. 💗 On my skin, it smells really similar to my Tilia which I also have in my collection. The only difference I can say is Tilia has more like a pungent scent especially on the initial spray. Musc K lasted on my skin for around 8-10 hours I would say. Overall a successful blind buy for a gourmand girlie like me! I feel so feminine every time I use it. LOVE HER! 💛 PS: weirdly my 6 cats goes crazily obsessed with me 100x every time I wear this 😆

I'm really, really enjoying wearing this for the past two days To me, it's a perfect balanced mix of the best parts of Gaiac 10 (without the smoky aspect), Fleur de peau/Sonic flowers and Molecule 01/02. Musky, woody, hint of florals with a healthy dose of Ambrox and Iso. Projection seems very good although it's "considered" a skin scent and longevity is also very good. It's kinda the "your skin but better amped up to 2024 standards". FB worthy to me and frustratingly very hard to get in North America.
