Orchid K

A sultry, indulgent vanilla over a luxurious woody base, this wasn’t a scent I expected when I first saw the notes. It took me several wears to fully appreciate its complexity, and I know it will continue to wow me as it reveals new nuances. Mysterious and seductive, yet boasting an airiness that makes it a summertime dream, Orchid K opens with an enticing floral aroma of orchids wrapped in fine, fluffy marshmallows that heighten the flowers’ powdery facets. And while the orchid/marshmallow duet delights with its flirtatious powdery beauty, it is the rich, hedonistic vanilla that truly steals the show, making me swoon. Far from your typical baking vanilla, this is a dark, intoxicating, almost carnal savor of a freshly split vanilla pod that has an irresistible pull. I pick up smooth boozy nuances similar to Spiritueuse Double Vanille, deepened by an opulent woody base, with praline undertones. Unlike SDV, however, there’s a breezy spiciness to Orchid K that laces the powdery floral notes, making them glitter. It almost feels like a dusting of fine, sugared saffron that seems to coat the florals imbuing them with an exquisite sultry allure. I find myself falling more in love with this fume every time I wear it and can already see it becoming an often-reached-for staple. To me Orchid K means summertime date nights and cocktails with the girls, however the clean, airiness from ambrofix makes it surprisingly easy to wear day in and day out. I feel that if you are a fan of refined vanillas like Silky Woods Elixir, Orchidee Vanille and Vinegia 21, this scent’s for you.

Omg whyd I have to sample this I freaking love it. I dont know why and I don't know how but on my skin I'm getting a very fluffy blueberry vanilla marshmallow type of scent on my skin. The sequoia really gives it that oomph Edit:: okay I'm so glad I sampled before blind buying this because the drydown is very , how do I say-- lackluster. It's beautiful don't get me wrong but the drydown in this reminds me of something I already own but a much more dialed down version of it. I would say the drydown is slightly similar to what i get out of my parisian musc. Most likely will not buy a full bottle at this time. I'll sit on this sample and play with it a little longer.

This is unique and unlike anything I’ve smelled before. Beautiful and incredibly well done. Each element is smelled. For those concerned it’s “too dark” don’t worry... it has a lightness and airiness about it. The woods and base are not overpowering—they add dimension and sweetness. One of my favorite smells of late and I’ve had my nose on countless scents in the past months. Update: This continues to be a total favorite of mine. I originally thought it was quiet but three sprays respectfully filled a waiting room and garnered many compliments. I compliment my own self when I smell it! It’s that good to my nose.

I didn't expect to love Ella K Orchid K as much as I do—I'm bordering on obsessed. This fragrance is a masterpiece, full of fascinating and intricate notes that keep me captivated. While I can understand why it might not appeal to everyone, on my skin, it dries down to the sensation of a warm, silky cashmere wrap. It's luxurious, comforting, and uniquely elegant. A truly unforgettable scent! Follow up after a year or so...I completely gone off it for now 😅 i still appreciate the craftsmanship but at the moment it is way too strong and a bit too harsh for me

OMG...I am testing this fragrance & it truly KO my socks..strong & just super PRETTY, NOT juvenile in any way💯 I get the sweetness from the marshmallows, yet elevated...a little similar to Memo-Sintra, but softer & NOT as sweet..I am CRUSHNG on Orchid K. This is my 1st ELLA K fragrance I’ve smelled & I am beyond impressed..FB worthy for sure🥰💕!!️ Edit as of 07/12/26..I just wore this today & my Hubby immediately complimented me, totally unsolicited...trust me this is HUGE since he RARELY recognizes my fragrances

Absolutely stunning. Not a light, simple fragrance. It’s not a gourmand either. The only thing the marshmallow is doing here is brilliantly balancing some of the stronger notes. I pick up some similarities to FDB Sirene. Heavy ambrofix. If you aren’t into BR540 bc it’s played out, but you secretly love the notes, you might enjoy Orchid K. It’s intoxicating.

The reviews are a bit dramatic. Orchid K is basically Tilia in gourmand form. It’s actually pretty unique. The final dry down is a fun, fluffy-floral marshmallowy vanilla that leaves a gorgeous scent trial. If you enjoy the Ambrofix style notes in Tilia or Vanilla Powder then Orchid K will be a hit for you.

Would absolutely love this if it didn't have that screechy ambrofix musk in it. It takes over the whole fragrance and becomes the dominating note. Please remake this fragrance without that note - it would sell like hot cakes.

This is a beautiful fun marshmallow scent that’s bright and cheery! All these reviews are ridiculous lol probably one of the prettiest marshmallows I’ve smelt! Light airy uplifting! Just perfect DONT listen to these haters

I personally like it a lot. Nothing groundbreaking but very well done to my nose. Very similar to HFC Indian Venus

It’s a beast mode of a fragrance to me actually more unisex to male leaning. I don’t get any marshmallow notes. It’s almost giving Tom Ford vibes. If you want something with enormous projection or nighttime then this is your fragrance. For me it would be difficult, maybe in the fall I would attempt.

I've been quite shocked testing this brand that a lot of the perfumes have jarring, loud and synthetic base-note overloads. The brand image seems to be restrained/refined class but the scents are screechy, scratchy and designer-esque, and it baffles me because Sonia Constant has done loads of decent stuff for designers that doesn't fit into the shouting, beasty ambrofixative category. Maybe this is the type of thing she likes wearing, so it's what she's concentrating on for her own brand, but it's really not for me. If you like this style, this is a good perfume.

Ambrofix and vanilla, nothing else. VERY synthetic and screechy, very linear. Smells like many other synthetic vanilla designer scents. I'm finding all the Ella Ks smell cheap and designery and this is one of the worst culprits. It doesn't smell bad per say but I'd feel embarrassed to smell like this in public.

Orchid K is a likeable yet straight-forward vanilla floral. I’m sure this would be a crowd pleaser but to me it’s a ubiquitous and designer-like DNA, not worthy of the niche price bracket. While pleasant, unfortunately I’ve smelled plenty of similar fragrances before!

This is...amazing? Disgusting? Both?? I catch a whiff of my wrist and think it’s so sweet & gorgeous and then I put my nose against my skin and think ‘ew, gross’. It’s a peculiar experience.

If you are used to very synthetic scents and it's not the problem for you, you may like this one. I don't think it's just one note which ruins the whole composition but it's the way how all the notes has been made. I just don't get anything natural here and heavy Ambroxan doesn't help at all. You don't find here edible and intoxicating marshmallow. I love that note when it's done well. Saffron is there and this is definitely not like "Baccarat Rouge 540" but I think it came to my mind especially during the first testing because of Saffron and how it's made here - I don't like that scent at all either. That feeling anyway disappears totally when testing again after one day. Vanilla Orchid, Vanilla and Jasmine together smell cloying to me. I can't say that this is creamy. The aroma is unpleasant, suffocating and headache inducing. There are so beautiful floral notes mentioned but none of them smell beautiful and not at all how they smell when natural ingredients are used. The longevity and sillage are very strong, too strong with this kind of scent but on the other hand it's like that because of synthetics. I feel somewhat quilty to write this kind of review but this is how I feel. I haven't tried so many from this house but I haven't found any which I like so if you like this house in overall, you may like this one. Some scent comes into my mind after around 1 hour from the opening. I'm smelling my wrist like crazy (even if I get a headache) because this is so familiar but I can't remember what it is. Loved Camelia K and Musc K, so I thought I'd love Orchid K... nope. It's got a strange green. almost bitter note (petitgrain, maybe) in the opening. I did not like that, but was hoping it would dry down into more of the floral, but seemed to skip right over the florals and landed on the wood note. So like bitterness and then wood. It might be my nose, because so many of the reviews below talk about the sweet floral notes, but I don't pick up on any sweetness or floral. Disappointing.

The magnolia saves this perfume. It opens with powdery marshmallows and an overdose of woody vanilla. I was very disappointed and wanted to quickly rinse it off my arm. But the heavy dominant vanilla is quickly tempered by the vanilla and oleander. This makes it a beautiful perfume, of the quality that you can and may expect from Ella K. Do not rely on the opening, but give the perfume time. After about 10 minutes you will be surprised.

Strongly disliking this. It's as sugary as Love Don't Be Shy, with a similar mix of neroli into it, some powdery creamy heliotrope and a TON of ambrox/cashmeran in the base. There's some similarity with Reflet (I suspect a similar-ish base?), but overall, it's a scrub. It's making my eyes water and my sinuses burn a bit... Can easily be headache-inducing.

My experience with Orchid K is very similar to Vannamae’s, who reviewed this fragrance below. Unfortunately, all I got was sour woodiness (what I believe is sequoia) and heavy ambrofix. No vanilla, no marshmallow, no beautiful florals. I hope that it will ware better in the summer heat and humidity.

Disgusting🤮 I really wanted to throw up

I am so sad I didn’t love this considering I’m a big fan of her work with one of her scents being my signature that I have a back up bottle of but Orchid K was really disappointing for me. All the lovely parts of the fragrance are drowned out by the woods and heavy use of ambrofix. I get whiffs of something slightly sweet that I like when I first spray, it’s a refined sweetness that I expect from her but then it’s followed with a woody aroma chemical smell lingering in the background that is quite off putting to me. It’s also a soft wearing fragrance - granted I only wore this once but it doesn’t seem to project much after the first hour but I did get some random whafts of sweet woody ambrofix at times of which I didn’t enjoy. It smells better in the air but up close on the skin I smell a lot of the ambrofix that was used and I can’t get past that even though I tried. I would have preferred this fragrance without those base note elements, I think it would have been so lovely without those. I’m bummed out but I still love her line and she has many great fragrances. I’m sure this will still find it’s audience but it missed the mark for me. Edit: After selling my bottle, I came upon a sample so I retried it and I still don’t like this fragrance, I actually hate it even more now. So. Much. Ambrofix. Just awful honestly. I got some negative feedback on it as well from the 2 people I asked opinions from. All my original feelings still stand. Not a safe blind buy!

The opening is lovely, you are greeted by a beautiful delicate floral sweetness. I do pick up the orchid quite distinctive as that is not my preferred flower but it is lovely in here. However unfortunately a few moments later the ambroxan takes over the whole composition and it becomes overbearing. It is slightly similar to the dry down of Kilian can’t stop loving you. I just wish they could remove this chemical fixatives altogether from perfumery as they don’t belong here.

Marshmallow in this one is consistent and dominant. Its not an edible gourmand fragrance but it is still good. Nothing unique or out of this world, but if you like Matiere Premier - Vanilla Powder it could be another good one for you just because it smells powdery and sweet. Flower notes are prominent with the marshmallow so it still smells like a perfume and not an edible marshmallow.

I only have a sample but this is unlike anything I have in my collection. Opens up with a smooth floral with a slight cherry-esque sweetness . Then the fresh rose starts creeping in . After 30 mins I get a mix of light vanilla with a light woody touch and even some amber. It’s pretty ! Perfect for year round .

Phew! this is strong. Very intense floral amber scent. The problem I have with it is that it reminds me a lot of other things like LVEB and Flowerbomb with an additional dose of super synthetic smelling ambroxan like molecule. Is that the ambrofix? very annoying and migraine inducing base. I can't stand this.

I absolutely agree with the review below! Stunning fragrance, done in the best way possible, easy to love and unique at the same time! Nothing challenging or smokiness at all... another amazing release from Sonia Constant! It is impossible to point anything in reminds me of section, which is great too:)))

I would have loved this perfume if it didn't have this green note that overpowers the entire composition. The green note reminds me of Okra and it turns into a cooked South Asian okra lol. It's terrible!! I don't want to be reminded of food nor smell like it 😂 Not for me unfortunately.

I don’t get the sweetness or marshmallow at all. Something about it smells like food?! Feel like I’ve been sitting too close to the kitchen at an Indian restaurant. First time I tried it I sort of liked it. But happy I got the sample before I bought it. It’s a no for me.

I actually like it a lot. It’s kind of simple and yes synthetic but a pretty and pleasant woody fragrance with marshmallow, a note that I normally never like that much in fragrance but this one does it nicely
