Exotic Bronze

Works very well w my chemistry! Like Bon Chic BCBG & Avon Fantasy Kiss. On me it's sweet, modern n fun! Definitely hoardng/stocking up on this one! A delight!!

I adore the original Ellen Tracy Bronze. I am such a huge fan of the heliotrope/violet/lemonade/amberness of it. It just feels like my perfect fit. So when I saw a 1.7 oz. bottle of ET Exotic Bronze at TJ Maxx for $4.99 (seriously?), I could not buy it and rip it open fast enough, thinking I would soon be sampling an interesting twist on my beloved original. However....'twas not to be. This has little to do with Bronze. It's Love Notes minus the patchouli. I'm still learning notes, but I do not get peach or raspberry from this, I get another very sweet note - possibly the litchi, a note I am not familiar with. It's quite strongly fruity and sweet, at odds with its name - because while the original Bronze has a warm citrus twist, it's soft and cozy. I don't get that from Exotic Bronze. I can't make up my mind about Exotic. It's not a disagreeable scent by any means, but it's not my cup of tea and not what I was expecting, given its name.

I, unfortunately, spent substantially more for my bottle - $13 at Winners for a 50 ML. My knee-jerk reaction was that this is weak and without any character - nice but unremarkable. After an hour passed, I realized this is actually a lovely summer fragrance that I believe I will crave. It's light-wearing but noticable, and fruity and fresh without being saccharine (unlike Viva La Juicy, Believe, Playboy Play Its, etc.) There is a nice dry-down that stays on skin and nicely supports another couple spritzes a few hours in. Given that this is an extremely humid summer day and I still feel fresh out of the shower after hours of labour around the house, this is a real win. Yes, the packaging is horribly cheap, but I think the juice inside is quite lovely, actually.

Generic shampoo fruity floral. This is not a bad scent by any means---especially for only about $5. It is NOTHING like original Bronze, as everyone has said, but it doesn't suck. Fruity florals are NOT my thing, generally. I prefer something a bit more interesting and deep with my scents. This one is pretty, but also quite bland. I get water lily, raspberry, and peony, mostly. This is similar to Ellen Tracy Peony Rose in feel, to me. If you want a cheap summery scent that you don't mind respraying at abandon and just feeling carefree about, this is it.

This gets a disproportionate amount of hate. Yes, upon first spray, it is artificial shampoo fruits. But after a few minutes on skin, I get a crisp and tangy fruit over a smooth and creamy floral/green base. Not overly sweet, aquatic, or shrill- just perfect! Not my style, but a pleasure to wear nonetheless. Impressive sillage as well- I ran out of places to sample, so I put it on my leg under my lounge pants, and was getting constant whiffs of it. Such a steal!

This scent took me a bit to understand and to appreciate. It is very fruity and sweet_at first too much that it was even a bit too cloying. But now after wearing a while I have grown to enjoy it. It is a cheerful, clean, yet mature scent. Best to wear for a day out shopping or for an after-work happy hour. Kind of boozy and fun for a gal in her mid-twenties and up. Oh and you can remove the sticker lol, underneath is the 'Bronze" bottle, which is not bad ;)

I got a 100 ml bottle at Marshalls as a blind buy for USD $4.50. It opens with the raspberry and lychee initially and the water lily shows up about 20 minutes later. I don't get any green tea, musk or the other notes listed. The scent is OK but little more. What is shocking is how incredibly cheap the bottle is; the juice aside, the low-end plastic bottle with its paper-sticker label warrant no more than the low price paid.

I like this one quite a bit. I'm thinking the exotic in the name would mean Japan. Lychees, white tea...this is nice, clean, can be worn anytime anywhere.not cheap smelling yet practically free.

Summer's fading fast. It's 50ish and breezy, but before I reach for my fall fragrances, I must have more lychee. ♡♡♡ I miss my summer fruit smoothies, so this will have to do.

I bought this yesterday at TJ Maxx for $4.99. I was really hopeful that I would love this. To me, it smells like lemony licorice. Does anyone else smell that?

Oh poo. I just threw out $7.99 plus tax on this thinking it would be the original Bronze with added coconut or a sun tan lotion vibe. Not remotely so, but I didn't have my phone to look up the notes so it was my bad. This isn't awful...it's actually rather pleasant in a shampoo sugared violet kind of way, but not my style. Water lily always reads like crushed violets on my skin, & lychee fruit tends to be difficult for me (as are peach notes) to pull off as it can easily smell sour and like rotting fruit mixed with BO on my skin. :( This is just a fruity floral that smells similar to most shampoos in the Pantene line mixed with a fruit based B&BW spray. Nothing offensive, but nothing super exciting to me. If you do not like spicy, warm or heavy scents, you will probably like this. It's base note is very similar to ET's "Notes" scent. It also reminds me of Yves Rocher Ming Shu, and slightly of Theirry M's Angel Violet flanker (minus the quality and warmth). The bottle is ridiculous looking and I would be ashamed to give this away as a gift since it looks so cheap with a sticker on the front. The one on my bottle was not even properly centered, no less, but I will say that is probably why this is sold at Ross for 8 bucks. :) Cheers!

Oh my...goodness. This is gross! I give any perfume a fair chance and I am not prissy or particular when it comes to fragrances. I like anything from a pure aquatic fragrance like the Calvin Klein One summer Editions...to the gourmand Jessica Simpson Fancy perfume...to the warm amber/patchouli Nicole Richie "Nicole." So I am in no way biased when it comes to any fragrance...but this is just downright gross. Smells like a sweet/fruity, CHEAP, synthetic alcohol-ey mess. DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS!!! SMELL FIRST!!! You'll thank me later! Longevity/Sillage - Who cares. 3-4 hours unfortunately. Scent Itself - 2/10 for effort I guess?

Like Kaejuntun, I also disliked the original Bronze perfume, which I had blind bought based on the positive reviews of it on here but was so disappointed when I got it. Something about it rubbed me the wrong way so my first spritz of it was the first and last one! I decided to take a risk on Exotic Bronze though after reading through the notes, the reviews and seeing 30ml bottles of it on one of the UK perfume websites for only £3.99. I figured how bad a blind buy could it be at such a cheap price?! Well, my bottle of Exotic Bronze arrived yesterday and I was relieved that, given some of the less than glowing reviews of it on here, I really like it - hooray! Exotic Bronze to me smells fresh, fruity, clean and girly. Yes, it's yet another fruity / floral but a good one. On my skin it really smells delightful and enchanting, with the fruity notes and vanilla being predominant. The packaging I admit is not great though - the box it comes in is OK and the bottle too but the tacky plastic cap and the sticker label on the front are VERY cheap looking! However, that being said, it's the perfume that really counts and that is actually very likeable and very much an anytime, anywhere kind of perfume in my opinion.

I didn't care much for the original Bronze; so after reading the reviews, I had somewhat high hopes (since I DO like fresh/clean "out-of-the-shower" scents). I bought this for $2.99 at TJMaxx here in the U.S. I have to say that I agree with everyone who thinks the name does not match the juice in the bottle. It definitely does not smell exotic, nor "bronze", at all. However, despite that, I like it. I don't *love* it, but I do like it. It does have that bodywash/shampoo-clean smell after the initial spray. It quickly changes slightly on me though--to something I wasn't expecting. Imagine coming out of the shower, and then dabbing a light layer of Nivea (original) lotion in certain spots. Because you only put it in spots all over your body, you can smell a mixture of either bodywash or shampoo and Nivea. That's what I get in the middle...at least on MY skin. When it dries down, I no longer smell Nivea, but rather, a soft, powdery, floral-fruit perfume that wears fairly close to the skin. Not a bad scent in my opinion, but also nothing that really wows me. If you like fresh-clean scents, or smelling like you just got out of the shower, this is a decent one to have in your collection.

This was a blind buy at Marshall's for $5.99. I didn't have high expectations, but I'm pleasantly surprised how nice it smells! The opening is delicious lychee, with none of the cheap alcohol or saccharin notes I hate. It is definitely floral but in a very refreshing way, not at all sickly sweet or sticky. I don't know of any other perfume that smells like it, and I find myself reaching for it after I shower everyday. The only problem is this fragrance has no staying power on me. After 10-20 minutes, it is completely gone, even after many squirts. Therefor I can't comment on the basenote. Maybe I need to try it when the weather is warmer (it's been averaging 60-70 degrees these days). If I have to keep on reapplying, I will run through the entire bottle in no time. Unlike some other reviewers, I find the bottle design quite attractive. The frosted glass seems to be of good quality. The sticker is a minor design mistake, to be sure, but like someone suggests, just put a pretty sticker over it and it'll be just fine. After all, it is the juice inside the bottle that matters.

I am one of the few who genuinely do not like the original Ellen Tracy Bronze. It just didn't work on me at all. When I saw Bronze Exotic I initially passed it up just due to the name. Then I looked at the notes on here and my interest was piqued.. I figured that for $5 It wouldn't be that big of a deal if Bronze Exotic tanked like the first one did for me. First thing to note - Bronze Exotic has nothing to do with the original Bronze. Bronze to me was powdery, sweet, and overwhelming. Bronze Exotic smells fresh, somewhat fruity, and clean. It's a shampoo scent, but a good one. I can smell the lychee and a bit of peach and raspberry, there's a touch of the water lily and peony. I don't get any musk or woody notes, and the orris root just gives a slight powdery nuance that appears after about an hour on me. Bronze Exotic is a crowd pleaser type of fragrance, I think, but I really like it. It's very clean, inoffensive, and super easy to wear. I like it for what it is - it is $5 well spent!

*sigh* I had so hoped this would be fun. For $4.99 at Marshalls, one can always hope, right? Complete blind-buy. But not only is the price cheap, it smells cheap, too. The lychee is just boring and cheap. On me, it was quite linear. Never went anywhere! I own Bronze (which is so not the right name for it, imho), and it is much lovelier than this disaster. Sadness. Oh well! It was worth a try, but back it goes! Not even worth the $4.99... And may I just add that the label, which is a sticker on the bottle, is a travesty. For shame, Ms. Tracy. For shame.

It's so funny coming here to review this... reading what everyone has said lol. I TOTALLY agree. I saw it at TJ Maxx for next to nothing so I gave it a shot. It really is the oddest scent I've ever had. When you first spray it you get this brisk kind of unpleasant alcoholy... stale fruit... almost burnt burst that quickly settles to the weirdest smelling concoction. It's indescribable. Not good at all. And it has a moderate lasting power that you find yourself wishing it didn't. All I can say is, Beware!

I was expecting something a little darker considering the exotic part of the name. Its a nice bright floral. Its not my thing but I love the smell of it and have been using it as a room spray. Not that it smells like fabreeze, just saying if you like this kind of perfume I think you would smell nice. Since i like dark vanilla or sweet perfumes & wont wear this I think this smells great on my curtains, lol.

Where original Bronze is sickly sweet, Exotic Bronze is sweet but refreshing. A little tangy and totally satisfying. This is amazingly original as I cannot find anything to compare it to. However, it does have a little in common with Tresor. As to the sticker, turn bottle around and glue on a beatiful flower or jewel decal.

It's light and fruity and perfect for summer. IMHO it's better than most fruity florals in that it doesn't have cheap basenotes. Yes, it smells a bit like fruity shampoo, but that is part of the appeal for me I guess. I'm 47 and I like it!

I see this a lot at Marshalls and it's fairly cheap. Has anyone smelled this? I'm not a fan or the original Bronze. I don't need another blind buy that I don't like.

Don't waste your time or money on this one. Boring fruity floral. HATE the sticker on the bottle...I mean, a sticker, really?? Cheap beyond belief.
