Banana Milkshake

I want to preface this review by saying I am a Price is firm. d girly. I got the re-release which was put out January 2026. I never smelled the original 2025 version. Hopefully the notes are the same. I am extremely disappointed in this scent. I know with fragrance mists they’re not expected to last very long and while this did smell nice, it reminded me of Bath and Body Works since and I mean, that was so much respect to Bath and body Works and not as a dig to Ellis Brooklyn. I’m a big fan of Bee from this same brand so much so then I bought several travel sprays and probably their largest perfume bottle of it to date because I am not much of a fan this sent. However it comes off more vanilla, heavy and more pine very heavy with the tiniest note of banana. It’s just a no for me and I’m probably gonna just sell it somewhere else because I could use that money to get lychee sent instead. I do have the original mango release and I do like that one better I parrot with brown Girl Jane’s Carnivale and the Julie Mango body oil from Brown Skin Babe. I do get that full effect of the fresh green mango and the sweet ripe mango as a result. Pairing these scents also allows for it to last longer. I would not mind this scent as a perfume if the banana note was much more pronounced and the longevity was present. I would not buy this again and I don’t think it’s worth the possibly $40 after shipping that I paid.

I was thinking, who TF wants to smell like banana? Why would I want to be walking banana to everyone who walks by. Who the hell thinks of making a freakin banana body spray?! With what perfume would I wear this? When I got that beautiful glass bottle, expensive but gorgeous design & than I smelt it & I was like WAIT A MINUTE! WHAT THE FREAK IS THIS?! 🍌 It was the smell of the most delicious, well made banana perfume I have ever smelt! The banana with vanilla, fresh, tropical smoothie & deliciousness I was SO SOLD & IMPRESSED! I got a backup but unfortunately only one bottle (good thing it’s permanent now! I grabbed Kayali Maui sweet banana perfume & paired them, HOLY SMOKED it was DELICIOUS! 🤤 Highly highly recommend & very sadly changed packaging but also they didn’t bring back the lychee & mango!😭 I got 3 mango, 2 banana & 2 lychee which are all DELICIOUS but especially lychee & banana. The mango too, but these are absolute top notch!🤤🤩🍌

wow this is so much better than expected. it’s a sweet, creamy banana scent with a really attractive undercurrent of vanilla, rum, and tonka. it surprisingly has a bit of sexiness and intrigue from the rum and vanilla, yet still maintains that banana split playfulness. somehow this body mist lasts longer and projects further than a lot of perfumes i’ve tried, including the EDPs from ellis brooklyn! it lasts 7 hours+ on me !! the glass bottle, luxurious atomizer, super long lasting power, and complex blend of notes elevates this high above your standard body mist. this should definitely be made permanent!!!! edit: i put some of this on at 7:45 this morning, had a 9 hour shift, and now it’s 10:21pm and i can STILL smell this on my arms. it’s more intimate/subtle now, but still very noticeable and delicious !! most scents don’t last long on my skin at all, so i am shocked !! body mist who !?!? it’s amazing

Man I wish this one and the mango one were permanent! This one is my favorite though. The notes that pop out the most to me are banana, rum, and tonka. This is a sweet creamy dream and I LOVE it! It lasts a pretty good amount of time for a mist, 5 to 6 hours on me. I can see why this is compared to cheirosa 62... when you first spray it, I can smell maybe a distant cousin of cheirosa 62 but that goes away really fast. I feel like this should be made into a perfume, I'm going to be so sad when I run out. Edit: I decided to pick up the lychee one and I love it too!! I think they did an awesome job with this collection. My only complaints are that the price is insane for the amount you get and the fact they are limited edition.

First spray I was in LOVE!! Such a beautiful creamy, sweet, perfumey banana fragrance. It's airy, yet cooling.I don't get the lactonic smell from the ice cream, or milk. But it has a cool creamy texture. Sweet vanilla is the star behind the banana. Not a super realistic banana, but not laffy taffy either. Done just right to my nose.The blend is beautifully done. I can't pick out the strawberry or melon but they are contributing to the tropical vibe along with juicy papaya. Sweet and aromatic from rum. Leaning towards flormound with the assistance from the vanillab orchid. So if gourmands aren't your thing this fragrance mist is fantastic! I need this in a perfume and 100mls.

Absolutely delicious banana daiquiri scent. I get a toasty quality from the tonka (and wood barrel I guess). I really LOVE the scent (although I agree with other reviewers regarding the short lived nature of the specific banana note). Dries down to a mouth watering vanilla. Very intimate projection and longevity is as expected from a body spray (short). I use it in my hair, which helps. A bit pricey for the amount of juice you get (considering you will blast through it quickly).

omggg this is so good. i’ve been trying to find the perfect banana scent for summer and this is definitely a top contender. smells like the new banana cold foam from dunkin at first and then settles into a more nondescript creamy vanilla with a whisper of banana cream. it’s sweet but not overbearingly so. banana can get cloying quick but this centers the vanilla note enough to make it wearable. i wish they didn’t change the packaging though i hate this cheap ass new bottle.

This has to be my first favorite of the 3! It starts off like a creamy Banana ice cream smoothy like scent and has a bit of that DNA that Happy dust or BL has that makes me sneeze at first spray. 😂 but I don’t mind that. It settles and stays creamy. I am not a banana girly but love this one and already want to wear it with any other frag that may have a banana note. Obviously longevity isn’t long but it’s enough. Perfect for the warm weather.

Absolutely beautiful. It’s a perfect sweet, fresh banana—lightly tropical and not at all cloying. I don’t get a milkshake quality from it, but it also doesn’t smell artificially sweet. Honestly, I’m kind of bummed this is a limited edition—this is one I’d happily repurchase again and again. Just a heads-up—and this might just be me—but go easy on the spraying. It comes off a bit alcohol-forward at first and had me sneezing quite a bit, lol.

my absolute favorite fragrance. the banana sticks around but is farrrrr in the background. this fragrance is very creamy so the vanilla and ice cream are the stars of the show. the rum adds a bit of maturity to it and the rest of the fruitd give it a pleasant sweetness. if you spray this from head to toe, you'll be smelling delicious for about 6 hours. i find that it lasts longer on clothing

This isn't very *banana*; it's there, but it's not at the forefront. If you're a banana lover like me, this is something to keep in mind. That said, it is a delicious fragrance nonetheless. To me, it's a creamy almost boozy vanilla with a hint of banana. The people in my life always compliment this when I wear it, and it has incredible staying power on clothing too.

I never gave banana perfumes a try for so long, and now that I've discovered my love of banana fragrances.. I'm so sad I ignored it! This one is insanely sweet, a gourmand you will be dying to eat. Its array of lactonic and fruit notes with leave your mouth watering.

this is like nothing I've ever smelt before ... fresh , creamy , fruity ... idk really how to describe it . it's like a lactonic banana with a sort of soapy note and it's just delicious !!! i blind bought this on a whim and i am SO glad i did

Went into Sephora and smelt this randomly, and walked out with the biggest bottle 😭 it smells like freshly washed hair in the best way, I hardly get banana, it’s slightly fruity and super creamy.

To me this is more like a banana daquiri than a milkshake, but I still like it. The banana component died down very quickly and a vanilla ish smell lingered for longer.

Instant love, but I don't get much banana 🍌 😕 In the drydown I'm getting slight whiffs of Commodity Milk (expressive). It's still a love ❤️ 🙂

I love this one. Its lighter for sure, but the smell. Sweet, little bit of banana and lots of milk. Its so milky and delicious.

Ugh the banana is DEVASTATINGLY short 😭 It's soooo good the first minute or so and then it just smells like all the other Ellis Brooklyn body sprays 🙄 I'm honestly getting kind of annoyed with this brand at this point. Every single body spray smells the same. Don't get me wrong, it's a GOOD vanilla - but if you have one of them, you have them all. I wouldn't waste your money on this unless you don't have any of the other Ellis Brooklyn body sprays and love a good vanilla frag. I know it's a body mist, but the longevity and projection this one is really poor compared to say, Marshmallows or Vanilla Sin. I'm really disappointed, I had high hopes for this 💔 Rating: 7/10

I like this! Doesn't last very long but that's what I would expect from a body mist anyway. Pretty pricey for a body mist ($26 for small size). Smells just like a banana milkshake, very yummy, creamy, smooth. I don't think it has a synthetic banana smell, if anything the banana pulls a smidge green in the opening. Develops into a creamy vanilla ice cream. I don't get too much rum from this or really anything else besides banana, vanilla, and ice cream.

Edit: Used once then didn’t grab for it again. Every time I went to test it I got a plastic runts banana and was just not feeling in the mood. Ended up selling it. Still want to try the others though. I like this one. Most likely will also grab the other two in coming months. Banana, cream, and a light vanilla. It’s not overly sweet and it’s not beast mode. Does it stay around for maybe two hours? Yes. But for $35 in a glass bottle.

So I have the frosted glass bottle. Did they change the formula when they changed the bottle? 2025’s formula was VERY rum-forward and creamy. An adult milkshake. Vaguely fruity, but in a blended, smoothie kind of way. I also get a lot of the vanilla orchid, which is my least favorite part of this fragrance. All of this being said, I really enjoy it. It’s sweet, it’s fun, it’s easy. Performance is surprisingly good for a body mist.

This is a great layering fragrance. Not something I would just wear on its own. As someone who likes banana scented things but not actual banana (I’m allergic) this smells enough like the real thing without it coming across as cloying. It also can me worn year round imo but that’s heavily dependent on what you layer it with. My current combo for winter is oui the people island milk and this.

Random comparison: The Doux Honey Dip honey butter gel (It’s called honey but I always feel it smells like bananas) This is so creamy and smells so true to a fresh blended fruit smoothie with banana at the base. Once it dries down it’s mostly vanilla, banana milk. I’m a fan! I may grab it for fun hot days! P

First sniff was clean vanilla. As it dried, the banana came out and then melted into a creamy vanilla tonka. I love banana scents and wanted this to be strongly mashed banana scented, but I'll never be disappointed with a solid vanilla. It had moderate lasting power but not as powerful as Vanilla Sin.

it smells like a banana smoothie then it quickly turns into a very subtle creamy banana vanilla not much to it I expected a little more from this🍌I wear it bed a lot though I still like it edit: wait I kinda wear this a lot so I guess I do like it more than I thought 😅

I get only a slight banana peel , lots of vanilla and a hint of woodiness and a pinch of rum. Wish I got more banana and lactonic notes . It’s ok but not what I was hoping for

as someone who actually likes banana notes, i’m so pleased. very light, sweet banana. a little milky and similar to banana laffy taffy. i don’t think it will last long though

My Sephora run was not favorable for Ellis. ‘Isla Sirena’ then ‘Banana Milkshake’ were back to back meh fests. Banana lover whose had this on my list forever, but local stores never have testers available. How I haven’t gotten my hands on this yet is actually beyond me. I literally sprinted at the newly restylized bottle when I saw it sitting on the shelf ready to try. I fully soaked myself to really see what shes got. Very Lattafa ‘Eclaire Banoffi’ or Sud Pacifique ‘Vanille Banane’ for about 5 minutes until it dries to a vague sweetness. I understand its merely a mist, but this is painfully short lived. Meh. Just would rather stick to any of the other ~$30 budget Banana fragrances that outperform this by miles, and for cheaper. I had relatively high hopes with the reformulation and re-release promising improved performance, but like in most cases, reformulation seldom favors the consumer! 🥲

For a body mist, this is pretty strong on me. The banana opens creamy and bright, the vanilla and ice cream notes are nice, and I like it better than the latest Marc Jacobs banana releases. Unfortunately, the banana faded into a more generic "tropical" scent. I detected other fruit notes in the heart that went a bit haywire. Once I popped on here to check, I was correct. The peach note I detected was actually apricot, and I definitely got a whiff of strawberry milk, so this feels more banana split than banana milkshake to my nose. This would probably be very pleasant for those who love gourmands because the notes did not come off as synthetic or heavy, but the added fruits make it a tad too cloying and not an authentic banana milkshake.

Layers well with ellis brooklyn bee. When worn Together inspired a fun sticky game of hide the banana with my man The notes are wrong BTW. Its pineberry, not strawberry, and rum wood. Fragantica really sucks with note breakdowns Edit. Liked it so much i went through the full small bottle and purchased the big size. The new bottle gives a way stronger banana note and no rum sadly. Not sure if its a different batch that's off or if it just weirdly emphasizes a different note in warmer weather. Not as big of a fan as I was before

not banana scented or even milkshake scented which I feel is easier to emulate. I understand banana as a note can be hard to maintain in the total wear of a fragrance but there is no milkshake vibes to it? and I wouldn't say it's a bad scent but it's not what I expected plus I have this other fragrance that reminds me of it...

After giving it a few tries I’m still not crazy about this scent. I LOVE banana and have been looking for a good banana fragrance, but the note only lasts about 10 minutes, then dries down to an *ok* vanilla. I really liked layering it with Relique d'Amour! Way too expensive 5.5/10

So... This is not a predominantly banana scent, the banana is non-existent after a couple of minutes. This is a creamy, vanilla, sweet, musky scent with the slightest hint of floral. It kind of reminds me of Hufflepuff (vanilla, creamy, musky) minus Hufflepuff's lemon note and substitute that with a hint of banana for a couple of minutes. Nothing outstanding - inoffensive and pleasent.

i so desperately wanted to love this but it doesn't deliver on the concept and is pathetically weak :( i get no banana, no milkshake, nothing but a weak playdoh scent that mercifully disappears after 10 minutes. overall rating: 🩷💔🖤🖤🖤 1.5/5

I ended up returning this. the initial spray smelled like banana Laffy taffy but as it dried down, it reminded me of aussie mega moist hair conditioner

Where is the Banana? Where is the Milkshake? The name of this fragrance is absolutely misleading. Save your money if you're like me and desire the sweetness and creaminess of a banana milkshake because you're not getting it in this fragrance, it's simply not present. Such a disappointment. I usually never return items but I ended up returning this fragrance and that's saying a whole lot.

It’s similar to 62 but more banana . Dried down to a basic sweet vanilla I wish it had more banana and creaminess . It’s nice but too expensive for a body mist that lasts 30 mins max . If it was around 25-30 that would be reasonable . But $50 Canadian for a small body mist that’s doesn’t last is absolutely insane . Pass .

Again, Ellis disappoints by not making her Milkshake mists into PERFUMES. Granted, her mists are good performing for what they are... imagine this as a long lasting perfume?? Now we have the 3 Milkshakes (banana, mango, and lychee), Vanilla Sin, and Marshmallows that are way better than most of her regular perfumes imo (aside from her tropical Miami Nectar, Sun Fruit, Guava etc). WHY Ellis??? Please make your mists into perfumes!!!! This is so frustrating to love theses scents and then they are just limited 50 mL mists that'll be used up too quick.

I get a very dense woody boozy scent. I get all the rum, vanilla and woods from the beginning. I don't get any banana milshake. This smells almost identical to Lattaffa Kamrah Qawah. Just sample it first. This is not the innocent banana shake it promises to be, this is a grown ass alcoholic vanilla rum bomb.

Initial spray is milky realistic banana. I was pleasantly surprised to find a non synthetic banana, but after a minute it becomes slightly synthetic and plastic. Though, after the dry down, the banana gets lost and it turns into a generic vanilla.

To me, this is just Maui in a Bottle by Kayali, but in body spray form. It's more of a fresh green banana than a ripe laffy taffy banana. Lasting power is non existent, which is to be expected from a body spray.

I recently became infatuated with banana smells, and I love this one! I wish it was an EDP but this really layers nicely with Kayali Maui in a bottle.

very yummy, like banana candy. milky and sweet but not cloying. but vanille banane by comptoir sud pacifique is like her more delicious sister.
