Blond Musk

Hi, Hello! 👋 This is my Ellis Brooklyn Blonde Musk IN DEPTH review. Everything you need to know! The western version of “Musk Al Tahara” Arabic perfume oil? It is my first EB perfume oil, but I own 38 from other brands. I am very familiar of this genre, especially because it’s very prominent in the gulf middle eastern countries. I also own 4 EB perfumes & 7 body/ hair mist, so I’m very familiar with this brand. My expectations: a musky ambery medium to strong concentrated perfume oil. I wanted to use under my regular mists & perfumes for added enhancement & longer lasting. First glance: pretty simple packaging no complaints. But unfortunately the perfume oil is extremely extremely light scented I needed to apply more & press my nose into my skin to smell it. Light weight oil, very nice texture, love it as a perfume base, sticks on & last longer. But this should be enough on its own. More onto the scent: it’s clean girl aesthetic. It’s very light, clean with powdery undertones. I don’t detect the amber. It’s so light & inoffensive you can wear it everywhere even as a nurse in the hospital, because it just smells like you took a shower & used a musk scented body products or baby products & baby powder. And because of that, even my 7 year old daughter could wear this. It’s pretty but not a 40€ pretty. The scent next to the price? Not justified! If my 5€ oil screams more & loud, this has no excuse being this faint & basic. This is very similar to “Musk Al Tahara” Arabic perfume oil & will do better than this. I have musk Al Tahara & will be using both together. Otherwise not even my own nose can detect it after 30 minutes. This is the weaker version of Musk Al Tahara in my opinion. You can wear this anytime on any day & every season. But more for day time & especially Netflix & chill. Rarely anyone would be able to smell it unless their head is next to your body. Idk yall, it’s nice but kinda disappointing. If my opinion changes, I’ll come back & update my review. It had all the notes, was so close to being perfect & sadly it missed the mark. I’ll still use it but won’t repurchase. Imma stick to other brands when it comes to perfume oils. Hope you find this helpful!🤍🫧

Had I known this would smell just like JHAG Musc Invisible, I would have passed - only because I already have it. I do enjoy this scent profile though, so I'll just wear them together.

I love this a lot! Musks are usually a hit or miss for me, but this is clean and yummy. I'd love a perfume version of this!

Gorgeous clean white musk scent that smells amazing. Perfect for hot weather or just when you want to smell really clean.

I would say that this is not a safe blind-buy, even though that's exactly what I just did... to me this smells very generic. At first it reminds me strongly of baby powder, then there's another note that develops which reminds me of some men's cologne from years ago (can't remember which one), and then it just fades to a mildly spicy skin scent. It's not exactly bad, but it's not exactly good either. I may end up giving this one away because it's just too generic.. okay, now I remember the cologne, I think it's a men's Avon cologne in a bottle with a black top --- Black Suede!! Anyone remember that one?

This is a soft and pretty perfume oil and I sometimes wear it on its own in bed. However, where it really shines is as a base for other scents, specifically Ellis Brooklyn’s Super Amber, amplifying it beautifully and making it last much longer. Should a perfume that costs as much as Super Amber need a perfume oil underneath it? Maybe not, but as I have both I’m happy to use them together, especially when the result is so delicious.

A fairly basic light musk oil. Nice but very like Jovan’s classic, or a Kuumba made musk. Light, pleasant, samey.
