Iso Gamma Super

This is such a great simple fragrance! First spray smells almost like rubbing alcohol, but wait- Then comes a very mild realistic cedar wood scent, then........ it disappears. But wait! Then it comes back as a full-on realistic cedar wood. So awesome! Smells exactly like a cedar storage chest, a bag full of freshly shaven cedar chips or freshly milled cedar. Yes, it is ISO E Super, but the composition is very quality. Actually, my favorite ISO and I wear it alone, not as a fragrance booster. It is so simple and so yummy. I can’t stop smelling wherever I have it sprayed. This is more of a personal scent, people in your personal space will smell it, you will smell it but it doesn’t throw. You will leave a faint trail of clean, natural cedar/woodiness behind you but you’re not going to knock anyone over with the overbearing strength of your perfume. Lasts about 6 hours, close to skin, I can still smell a mild trace the next morning. If you love real cedar or other woods, you should try. If you’re looking for Terenzi strength, this isn’t for you.

I love this, it’s clean and woody but doesn’t smell like straight up men’s cologne, it’s suitable for anyone. Upon first spritz I literally cannot smell anything, like, anything at all but after a few seconds the smell start developing and it’s super comforting. I just wish this was stronger/had better projection because I absolutely love this scent. I might wear it layered with other perfumes! PS: this is incredible, I kept getting wafts of it all day. I sprayed it on my arms and neck and kept thinking: what’s this awesome smell? However when I bring my nose to where I sprayed it I can smell nothing... I don’t know what kind of black magic this is, it lingers and comforts me for hours but I can’t smell it on my skin. Odd. But lovely nonetheless.

So subtle I almost didn't catch it at first, but it is a wonderful close skin scent. Makes sense that it would be tough to smell off the bat if it's using Iso E Super or something like that as an ingredient since it's such a huge molecule. Once it has a chance to sit on your skin awhile, it's a sweet, subtle woody smell, fresh like cedar but not nearly as strong. I just saw that it can be worn alone or as an amplifier for other scents and figuring out what this goes well with sounds like it'd be a cool experiment. Maybe trying it with something with a lot of top notes? Could be fun!

Absolutely incredible molecule perfume, woefully underrated. I got this for myself but my boyfriend started wearing it and when he does I absolutely can’t keep my hands off him. Every once in awhile you get a whiff of it but it isn’t strong or overpowering. Just clean and beautiful and sexy. I can see why people might not like this, especially if you’re used to designer perfumes that smell very perfume-y. This does not. Instead it’s a backdrop, ever present but not announcing itself. Subtle and sexy and gorgeous. So sad this is likely discontinued.

If this is only on my skin, like if it’s just on my wrists, I have a rough time getting anything from it. But if it’s on fabric that sits close to my skin, like long sleeves or a crew-neck shirt, I get frequent wafts of warm, dry woods all day long. All day. While this could be worn alone as described above, my favorite way to wear it is by layering with something fresh and kind of sweet - for example, I’ve got Armani Acqua di Gioia on as well today, and they’re a dream together.

I just got this and at first spray, I was hooked! Oh my goodness this smells so amazing to me! I can't even describe it or what it smells like. It's just.... so good. Maybe clean? It might remind me of something or someone from my past and that's why I love it so much, but every question I ask myself about why I love it, i can't quite put my finger on. It's like a tip of the tongue, almost but not quite....SOMETHING. it's so good though!

I love this! So well done! Fleeting yet ever present. Mysterious. I remember the very first time I tried it. I really did think I had sprayed water on my wrist. About an hour later I got this waft...an incredible waft that danced around me and I searched trying to figure out what it was....and all along it was my own wrist. Lol. I’ve been using it for over a year now and it’s so great for layering. A staple bottle for me.

Hmm, I am reminded of M01. M01 is airy, dry yet fuzzy. This is more creamier - not edible creamy but topical creamy - like an unscented body cream. Iso e super + fragrance free body cream accord. This performs better on clothing than skin and takes sometime to develop compared to the random wafts you get from M01. I do enjoy this scent.

To me, this smells quite a bit like Molecule 01 (Iso E Super), maybe with some ambroxan thrown in. I love Iso E Super so I had no problem enjoying this one. Good staying power and sillage. Probably overpriced, considering that you can get Escentric 01/Molecule 01 for cheaper. Would love to hear others' thoughts on this one, though.

This is definitely a cousin of Not a Perfume from Juliette Has a Gun. Though they utilize different molecules (cetalox vs. ISO E Super), they both highlight synthetic ambergris notes and possess similar characteristics. The cedar in Iso Gamma Super is soft and realistic, although not ever-present. As with Not a Perfume, this scent sits very close to the skin, and one's perception of it may wax and wane considerably. It comes and goes as it pleases, sometimes introducing new facets over the course of the wear time. As with any molecular fragrance, I think it is quite possible to go anosmic to this scent, and it may smell wildly different depending on one's skin chemistry, hence the many reports of rubbing alcohol and plasticky notes. I recommend sampling before committing to a full-sized bottle.

I’m so disappointed and can’t tell if I got a bad bottle... it smells like rubbing alcohol & plastic at first whiff, and settles into literally nothing? I sniffed my wrist seconds later and I get nothing 😭 So underwhelming and a joke for the price point. I wanted to love this bc I love the notes together. I have to rate a 1/10. I’ve been displeased with 3 bottles out of buying probably over 100 atp and this is by far the worst, and DEFINITELY not worth the price for what you’re getting. I understand companies wanna make money so they’ll label a fragrance what they want just to slap a certain price on it, but anyone with 2 brain cells knows eau de parfum IS NOT an appropriate title for this concentration. Definitely an eau fraiche.

This is so odd, it’s just wood. I get some of the vetivir but mostly just wood? I am a gourmand girl so I can’t imagine ever reaching for this but it may be good for men or if you want to make a scent small more woody by layering. I can’t imagine ever wearing this on its own on myself, it’s just wood and currently it’s giving me a headache. I think I need to go wash this off... ick. Not a fan.

Meh.. definitely pick up on the cedar and it’s a little too much for my liking. At one point I sniffed my wrist and got straight up pencil shavings. I don’t know about this one, think I’ll try layering it and see how that goes.

I don’t know how to rate this . I spray it , and then it disappears. I keep spraying but I can’t smell anything . The tiny bit of smell that I do get is nice , reminds me a bit of lake n sky 11 11 , or maybe the original riddle oil . I have a super sensitive nose , I keep sniffing where I sprayed but I’m not getting anything . I’m so disappointed! If the scent actually stayed it would be a good review . But sadly I can’t even smell a skin scent , it literally disappears Edit - ok literally like 20 -30 mins later , I can smell it , ever so faintly , very beautiful clean fresh scent . Woody , smooth , still reminds me of lake n sky11 11 strange how it seems to develop after so long ,

I thought I was completely nose blind to this, but after reading thazinha30's review I realized I can smell it, it's just one of the strangest scent experiences I've ever had. For the first 5ish minutes I smell nothing but the alcohol. Once that dries, the warm, clean woodiness of the perfume become apparent. But I get almost none of it when I put my nose to my skin; instead it wafts up to my nose. "Odd but lovely" is exactly right. I think it's a beautiful perfume, but because of how strange it is I would say it (like many Ellis Brooklyn scents) is not a safe blind buy!

I am a female, and when I sprayed this on wrist, it turned into a perfect scent for men. It's hard to judge as it is an ISO E Super molecule... which not everyone can sense. I do smell cedar, but not the earthy kind, more of a really pleasing addition to soaps and bath stuff and yes, vetiver is there too. It's nice! Maybe piney and a tiny bit spicy. Freshh!!! The only problem is that it doesn't project too much. It is very toned down. I would definitely love to smell this on men!!!

I totally get what the other reviewers are saying here - I didn't get much initially, but it seems to waft up my nose in the same way no matter how close I put my nose to it. It's like it floats around in the air and you get a nice whiff of it. Good projection without getting too strong. I actually really like this. It's a very clean unisex woody scent, bit powdery, like a clean crisp white shirt in the sun. Definitely recommend trying this out yourself in case you can't smell it.

I just got a sample of this with my most recent Ellis Brooklyn purchase. I sprayed it on a tester YESTERDAY (24 hrs+) ago and it was STILL going strong. It's an addictive scent, so I asked my husband to test it on his wrist. WOWSER When I smelled it on him, my body temperature went up and I almost jumped on top of him and rode him off into the sunset!!! GET THIS AND SPRAY YOUR MAN WITH IT! You're welcome!

The most realistic ambergris scent I’ve tried. Real ambergris smells musky, a little salty and a bit like poo/bad breath at times. So I can see why people are saying this smells like bad breath. I think it’s all association though I can definitely appreciate this musky scent and think it would be great for layering too.

I’m very much like the reviewer below me thazinha30 - I can’t smell a thing initially! I’m like ... where is the smell?!? I just saw the mist and know I sprayed it! It slowly develops and does smell nice afterward but takes awhile. I guess patience is a virtue but it does smell nice....eventually.
