Sun Fruit

I am surprised by how much I have loved this — I have actually purchased two bottles, which is so rare for me but this is so fresh and absolutely uplifting. I am also a massive fan of fig fragrances and when I first bought it, I didn’t realize that that was supposed to be one of the notes but I don’t like *every* supposed fig fragrance (ahem, Father Figure), I just like the freshness and fruitiness of this. My only disappointment is how short its life is on my skin (which is a common complaint I see) but I do tend to have that issue with many other fragrances. I don’t mind reapplying and sometimes I’ll even reapply before bed so that I can enjoy it myself. In more recent years I have tended to gravitate towards more green and woody things but it’s nice to throw in something happy and fruity for summer. I don’t find this generic at all.

Wow, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this so much! The combination of pear, fig, and coconut works really well together. It’s light, refreshing, and perfect for summer, but this can honestly be worn during any season. The longevity isn’t excellent but it lasts for a few hours at least. Sillage is moderate. Sun Fruit does seem overpriced, but if you’re looking for a unique, fruity summer fragrance, it’s at least worth sampling. When this first came out, I ignored it after looking at the scent profile. It seemed like this was just another fresh, beachy fragrance reminiscent of a summer themed body spray. While there’s some similarities, Sun Fruit is more sophisticated. The fig note really sets it apart. I never would have even tried this if it wasn’t for a sample that came with my order of Bee. 9.5/10

I got this as a sample. I've struggled to wear perfumes in the last couple of years my sense of smell is haywire!! I smell everything and it's not fun. Synthetic fragances are the absolute worst! I've opted to wearing natural oils to avoid headaches. I was nervous to try this. But away I went! Was bright and fierce at first and I was nervous. but as it settled quickly, I found myself taking deep enhales of it and could not stop!! I love it. It's unusual enough to be gourmand but light enough for everyday summer wear. Definitely a pleasant surprise, by the look of the bottle I might not have been tempted but I'm pleased I did. I will be purchasing a full size next summer.

It’s delicious, sharp as a paper cut when first sprayed - electric and tangy. Then it becomes a glorious fruit punch. Once it dries, there’s a subtle, balanced creaminess that comes through - like the popsicles with vanilla ice cream inside. Then, heartbreakingly, it’s gone. I wish this lasted, and I wish it projected after the first 90 seconds... I bought the body oil too, as I read it lasted longer (it doesn’t - at least for me), and while it’s lovely, I don’t get the same juicy hit the perfume provides. Most irritatingly, neither the box nor the glass of the body oil bottle matches the wonderful chartreuse of the perfume.

This perfume is the first time I purchased a fragrance without having any plans to purchase one... one sniff of it at Sephora and I bought it immediately without a wear-test. The second this fragrance is sprayed it's a blast of juicy, sweet pear. Like some sort of pear nectar. Immediately after, the coconut and some sort of juicy citrus begin to develop, and that's that. The scent doesn't change too much throughout the day once it dries down, and stays on forever! Just so up-beat, fresh, and bright. I would compare this scent to a juicy coconut scented shampoo almost? Without it being soapy or juvenile.

I love this fragrance! The fig is sexy and summery, and the fruit is just sweet enough. I am wearing it in the winter and it brings me a lift every time I smell it. It lasts all day on me and that is saying something because I have the hardest time finding fragrances that last. I can’t believe these reviews that say it doesn’t last on them. I do not understand that. It doesn’t smell synthetic either. The notes are authentic- smelling to me. It reminds me a little bit of Estee Lauder Pleasures from the 1990s but it’s definitely updated for 2022 and much more natural smelling.

On me, this is a summery, skin-scent--like a summer version of Glossier You. On first application, I get a ton of bergamot, then, when it settles, I mostly get the fig/pear, iris, and musk. I also detect zero coconut in this. It's definitely a close-to-skin type fragrance, so it would be nice for work during the summer months, although I find it doesn't last more than 3 hours. If you want to imagine this fragrance, think of smelling fresh printer paper while someone in the room next to you sprayed a vaguely "summer" scented, fruity body mist.

I love this one. It's pretty nostalgic, somehow. It's a summer, coconut-y scent done right, IMO. Smells like sweet summer memories without just straight up evoking sunscreen. I love to smell it, but strangely, it reminds me a bit too much of a man's cologne, or fancy shaving cream? At least, what my Italian relatives might wear. ;) Makes me a bit reluctant to buy a full bottle. So far it has lasted almost 3 hours on my skin. Gotta say it's not projecting very much at this point, but I only gave it one spritz.

I have a full bottle of this and I’m so glad I do. It’s definitely something to get once it’s on sale. The fig in the opening brings me so much joy. There’s a beautiful vanilla in the dry down that lingers for quite a while. This reminds me of father figure by Phlur. I recommend giving it a try with no expectations. I’ve been expanding my pallets for the past few years and this was out of my comfort zone. I can say, it’s a weird combo but doesn’t make it any less great. I’m surprised! I recommend trying!

Weirdly I don’t get coconut. I get a fizzy experience with that bergamot/strong juicy fig and a warm floral dry down. It’s alright. A fun pool party fragrance for young people (or young at heart!). Pop it in your beach bag and reapply as necessary. edit: I have grown to love this. It has become more juicy with time. It is slightly left of center for a summer fragrance. Just a little something slightly different but still youthful and fun!

So, I'm officially confused because on me this doesn't even smell that fruity after a couple minutes. The opening is fruity, but all but the fig vanishes almost instantly and I'm left with a very soft vanilla, fig, amber smell. I'm not complaining, this is absolutely gorgeous and I want a full size. Edit: Actually I probably won't buy a full size because the performance is rather bad. I couldn't smell it at all after about 2 hours.

A lovely combo of scents. Bright, tropical and happy without smelling like generic air freshener. I love the coconut and fig and actually enjoy the musky dry down. However as with most of the fragrances I’ve tried from this brand the sillage and longevity just isn’t there. I happened to already have body oil on so I think that’s what made it last into the moderate time frame but it only made it for 3.5 hours before vanishing :/

I smelled this ONCE TWO YEARS AGO and it has not left my mind since. Smelled like sitting on the edge of a pool in summer with flower gardens surrounding, while drinking a sweet, refreshing cocktail with sprigs of mint on top. All the best notes of summer by a pool with more than just salt and oceanic scents. Not overly sweet but so luscious and tropical. I need I need I need I regret not splurging when I found this travelling.

Beautiful Summer fragrance. It's airy, fruity without being juvenile, and has a nice balance offered by the floral and musk components. The pear and musk come through the most on me. Unlike the last review, I think this smells quite feminine, but maybe that's a chemistry thing. This fragrance is lovely, with moderate longevity and sillage. Great for a get together with friends at the beach, or a sunset walk on the pier.

this is a perfect summer scent for me. i'm not a big fan of coconut scents but in here its gentle and almost unrecognizable, the fruity cocktail notes nicely take center stage. i personally get them for around 3 hours, not enough for my taste but decent compared to what i've heard said about the longevity, and the drydown is a pleasant flowery musk mixed with that delicate coconut and sticks around for a while more

The bottle color really tells you what you are getting with this scent. If highlighter yellow was a perfume, this would be it. I love this. It's bright, fruity, very bold, and evokes feelings of happiness that moment I spray it. The dry-down is very similar to the initial spray, but with some added coconut. This makes me feel like I'm on a tropical vacation, while stuck sitting at a work desk all day.

I’m impressed by this one, and I haven’t had much success with this house. I agree that longevity is very poor. But that has never been a deterrent for me as I love to respray. It works also very well layered. I’ve tried the following combos that I absolutely love: 1- Woman in gold, then sun fruit 2- monoi vague d’été, wait 10min, then sun fruit. The second one is really amazing!

First of all I loveee the packaging of this! It is so summer-y and beach-y. From the name and description, I was hoping for a straight fruity fragrance, but on me it dries down to be much more floral than I prefer. On the bright side, it lasts sooo long and projects quite well. I would still recommend this, just not to people who want to avoid any trace of floral.

i love sunfruit sm . its smooth and creamy and the coconut is blended so perfectly into the sunshiney tropical fruity vibe. the coconut isnt really dominant its in the back just making it creamy. that bright sunshiney opening is so pretty . has a nice perfumey sexy muskyness to it . to me this perfume is so special. especially with the body oil version of it too

Ohh I love this so much! 😍 Blind bought it due to the hype on Youtube and it is definitely one of my most successful blindbuys. Omg that refreshing citrusy scent with creamy fig and coconut is everything I need in summer! And I usually don't like coconut in fragrance and I hate it when the fig note is done too lactonic.

This is really delicious smelling. Very fruity and irresistably juicy. I think the smell is a bit unique, because you can kind of smell a lot of the different notes! Performance isn't that great but the smell by itself is top tier and one of my favorite coconut scents, would totally try it :)

I sampled this first...so many negative reviews. I however find that this is a wonderful fruity floral for the warmer days.. It lasts on my moisturized skin and projects well on clothing. In my opinion. It’s worth adding to your collection. Miami nectar is next on my radar from this house..

I can’t help but love this perfume. It smells exactly like the PR campaign photos. It’s fruity, tropical, and floral. It’s a bright perfume with a coconut base. I get a pencil eraser note from the top and mid. Oddly, I like it. It’s the perfect beach vacation scent.

This is the perfect fruity floral scent for summer! It’s bright, tropical, and gives off major vacation vibes. I wish it had a better longevity on my skin but at least it’s not overpowering. This layers beautifully with D&G Light Blue!

Dang this is a soft delicate beautiful everyday scent. Close to the skin though but I love it enough to get a bigger bottle. I would only critique the fact it’s not long lasting for the price however.

Tested this in store. It's very interesting, will def be purchasing an actual bottle. Very citrus with a hint of clean laundry and something almost spicy? Get nothing creamy or particularly sweet.

I love this fragrance. It smells very fig heavy on me, which I love. It's a nice grounded fruity scent that in my opinion will also wear well in the fall. I get decent longevity out of this.

A delicious summery scent that instantly puts me in a better mood. True that it doesn't last too long but the skin scent is amazing as well. Definitely a new favorite of mine!

I dig this. The dry down is MUCH more interesting than the initial sniff. On the dry down you get the same lactonic note that’s so strong in REM by Ariana.

I get coconut, fig and musk on the dry down and it is one of my favorites! I can smell it all day on my shirt and bracelets. I love this babe of a perfume!

On first spray the bergamot is super pronounced then the fig really starts to come through with the coconut so good

This is my perfect summer scent. Its not sharp at all and I love the juicy pear in it, doesn't give me a headache

This was pleasantly surprising me, as I expected it to be another beach walk/alien goddess scent Rather, it began very bright (sweet & fresh citrusy coconut blend) for about 30 minutes. As it dries down, it becomes a skin scent of soft musky vanilla combined with the opening. No single note is jumping out here: seems like a fairly linear blend of citrus, faint coconut, vanilla, musk, very inoffensive florals. I came over to my fiancé for his first impressions and he couldn’t smell anything from this, even after I got very close. Maybe that’s his own problem but usually he has a good nose, lol. It seems up for debate whether this is super strong or super weak. I say it’s more intimate based on this, and the fact that I don’t get a huge whiff of it while wearing unless sniffing myself where I sprayed it. There is a little bit of a salty quality to it that reminds me of Arizona Bloom by Floral Street, but is more playful fresh fruity vs the “old crayons” thing that Arizona bloom gave me. I guess the question that remains is, are skin scents worth it when they’re nearing $100 per bottle? Will keep trying this one to find out.

Alas, but for the dry down, I’d have said this is the perfect example of how to do a good fruity floral. I’m a big fan of fruity florals; they’re best suited for life here in the tropics, but most of them are generic and merely sweet, lacking complexity or depth. Sun Fruit is sweet due to the pear, but the opening spray is also creamy from the fig, and tart and bright from a burst of bergamot. It’s a very juicy start, with the brightness eventually fading and making way for the richness of the fig to really shine through. I wish it had just stopped there. Unfortunately, the dry down is a generic amber + vanilla with serious Victoria’s Secret body mist vibes. I could have done without the amber completely, although I think even just balancing it out better would have worked. Sadly, this fragrance just fizzles after an explosive start.

This is a beautiful scent and reminds me of another perfume I just can’t put my finger on (but is likely Escada...on maybe fruit salad Chewits?). The pear at the start is divine - it’s a perfectly rounded fruity and fun opening. As it settles, the orange blossom, Jasmine and musk come forward to mellow it out. I like it. I like it a lot. I was going to come here to write a review trashing the longevity, but it settles down and remains for 2 or so hours on me. Still not bad, but not good enough to justify the price. If I didn’t already have some Sol De Janeiro sprays then I’d consider buying a full size of this, but as it stands...it’s not a good enough performer or a unique enough scent to commit to.

The notes I get most are fig, coconut, pear juice, jasmine and amber-musk. To me it smells like a nostalgic candy (tropical gummies? Piña coladas?) though there is also a solid floral component. It reminds me of a Victoria’s Secret perfume I’d wear in high school. I agree that it also gives tropical hair conditioner vibes. It stayed close to my skin for four hours. She’s very cute but it’s up to you to determine whether it’s $105 cute. I’ll happily use up my travel spray for the upcoming summer but I would not get a full bottle at full price. ETA 4/20: There’s this sharp, plasticky musk (reminiscent of shampoo) that dominates the scent so I’m liking it less and less—a little too harsh for me.

Frist time I tried this one, it confused me. It was almost a very basic fruity tropical scent but felt just a little strange. Turns out I needed to go on my fig discovery journey. After trying many more fig fragrances and falling in love with the note, I came back to my Sun Fruit sample again. Now I like it much better, it's a very uplifting summer fig. If you love the note, it's worth a try. Now, to downsides. It's still pretty basic and too boring for me to commit to a full size. It also has bad longevity and doesn't project far from skin. All in all, it would make a great body spray but too simple and weak to be a great perfume.

You remember that canned fruit medley that had peaches, pears, pinapple, and sometimes little maraschino cherries mixed in? This is the grown-up and *fresh* version of that. It's very sweet, fruity, juicy, and bright - the florals and coconut make it smoother and a perfume (instead of a BBW body splash). Like all EB's scents, this doesn't have longevity for me (boooo) but it's easy to spray on the go and smell lovely for a lunch date or a walk in the park. It's perfect for summer and the heat really brings out the base notes, but totally wearable for spring or into fall - to try and stretch out summer a liiiiiiittle longer!

Well what can I say? it's nice and pleasant. Slightly synthetic, but the smell is so nice it makes up for that with a juicy fruity pear and slightly creamy coconut in the dry down. Very tropical smelling, the fig is slightly noticeable I think that's what makes this slightly sharp and synthetic I hate fig so that's what I can notice but I love this scent for both women and men. Leans more feminine, but the best pear note i've smelled in a fragrance so far. Love how juicy the opening is and how the dry down gets sweeter it almost makes this fragrance suitable for all year around both during day and night or hot/cold weather

I agree with scentsforsarah, this is a great summery fragrance that features coconut but doesn't let it dominate! Just how I like it :) The pear and fig combo are SO juicy, fresh and sparkling, it's to die for. It's just the perfect amount of green, too. The fig in this is the juiciest most flavorful fig that you've just picked from the tree. The jasmine and orange blossom come through eventually but it's clear that the pear and fig remain the stars of the show throughout the wear. To me, this is exactly what a sunny day down the shore smells like, literally, as we have a fig tree in our backyard.

Well well..To me, it’s very generic. Not full bottle worthy so far. The dry down smells in fact like a shampoo for men or even like a strong dryer sheet. No coconut, pear or fig. I smell something like guava/passionfruit/pineapple with a strong counterpart of that tangy bergamot note. And then it becomes quickly a musky skin scent. Almost like a man body wash would smell. It’s very pricey for what it is, to my opinion. Also, does anybody find it similar to Miami Glow? Same vibe. Its not really a beachy vibe but more of a tropical party vibe/pool party. Opening 5/5 Dry down 2,5/5

Maybe it is just the name, but when I saw it and the bright yellow-green color, I flashed back to 1998 and my freshman year of college, to Escada's Sunny Fruitti. Upon sampling the EB Sun Fruit, it doesn't have the banana note that my old favorite had and doesn't seem as complex as my memory of it, but it is still a fun, fruity, delicious fragrance that put a big smile on my face. I'll happily wear this to the beach. If anyone DOES know a perfect dupe of Sunny Fruitti, I'll be the first in line!

This is an easy summer scent. The days are sweltering here in Texas right now and this manages not to morph into a stinky mess. It is not quite as generic as a body spray but not complex by any means. I also do like it does not give me a headache that even some of my most loved scents to can manage to do. It does not last very long on me but I still think it is worth the purchase. If Myth by EB had a baby with a fruity, tropical fragrance Sunfruit is what it would smell like.

the only reason i really like this is because it smells exactly like the Stoked by Bethany Hamilton perfume i was obsessed with in the fourth grade. i did my research and weirdly enough, they apparently contain no similar notes aside from jasmine, but in my mind Sun Fruit is a perfect dupe. i wish it was a bit more interesting than a fragrance marketed to pre-teen girls and sold at Claire's. and for the price, the lasting power also leaves a lot to be desired.

I don’t know exactly what note it is that gets me but this scent is DELICIOUS! It might be the combination of fig, pear and coconut together but this is so sweet and juicy and upbeat. I’m pretty sure this elevates my mood at least 3 notches just by spraying it! It’s not beast mode by any means but it is beautiful and will be a regular in my summer scent lineup. I also just appreciate the brand in general, though only this and Sweet are ones I would buy!
