FIRE (리)

My favourite of the core Elorea quartet. Fire is somehow the element I associate the least with this scent. It’s cool, airy, masc. Dystopian, urban, sci-fi. Very water sign, very Scorpio. It’s nightcaps in a penthouse with ceiling-to-floor black-varnished wood and a turntable spinning trip hop. Lime top, leather bottom. (Lime is a criminally underrated fragrance lead!). I fear I have a type (fruity leathers), and of this coven I think Fire is one of the most daily-friendly. The con, because something so beautiful must be flawed, is that it’s a flake. I can only get two, maybe three hour tops out if this scent, on skin or fabric. Mental Snapshot: You're drinking a gimlet in a blackout-tinted Audi, wending through the Gangnam rush. The chauffeur is one of your boyfriends. So is your helicopter pilot, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. You’ve been on the Forbes’ thirty under thirty list for sixty-seven years and counting. For what? Nobody knows. You don’t look a day past twenty-eight (Earth) years. tl;dr: lime noir 🧪📟

One of the most unique perfumes I've tried. Instantly the Jeju Lime note creates this awesome burst of freshness at the top, similar to some strong bergamot top notes. It dries down to a soft, spicy, warm cloud that brings out the leather notes and soft amber. The leather isn't so overwhelmingly strong compared to Violet Ends from Boy Smells, it blends nicely with the middle citrus notes. The way this scent transforms is incredible, I've never smelled something that starts off super fresh but ends so cozy and spicy. On paper it sounds strange, but it really works! Longevity is great, I get about six hours out of it minimum, sometimes I can smell it on my clothes the next day. This is a great pick for cooler weather or an intimate gathering, soft but spicy, not intimidating, pleasant and distinct.

If you like Fahrenheit or the original Dolce, you'll appreciate this fragrance. That's what this one smells like, albeit if this were stronger, I'd prefer it. What I don't appreciate about Elorea fragrances is their lack of projection. The silage is not strong, and the longevity is moderate. They are simply not strong enough, even though they are very beautiful compositions. Defenders of the brand keep reiterating this notion that in Korea fragrances that project are considered offensive. Well, then don't go enter the fragrance arena. The rhetoric goes something like this: "you can't smell it, and that's a good thing." No, that's asinine. That's like selling a car that falls apart and then saying, "See, you can't drive it so you'll never get into an accident." Same concept. Just dumb.

Fire is fire! Such an interesting fragrance, and the notes are definitely not smokey, warm, or heavy (what I would expect based off the name alone). It’s more reminiscent of a zesty, energizing, fiery burn in your muscles after a good workout, or sipping something citrusy after a spicy meal. I think it could truly work for any season, day or night, and is a true unisex. I need to give this sample more time but am considering a FSB, and have been really impressed with what I’ve tried from this house so far!

This scent is so fresh, I love the lime in this. Smells like someone just cut a lime open, and gave you just the peel to smell, nothing sour just fresh. I just wish it had better longevity, and sillage. This has gotten me a few compliments when I was in close proximity to others. If you don't mind it being a closer scent that lasts like 6 hours max (becomes a skin scent in like 3 hours for me) I would highly recommend it, my favorite from this brand.

This is an excellent year-round scent. I like it because the citrus is clearly a bright lime and because it has a clean and spicy under-scent I cannot quite put my finger on. It’s not too aggressive to wear to work and balanced enough that you can put it on at any time of the day. I highly recommend this

Fire has an intriguing blend of notes, which I found to be an interesting combination. I agree this fragrance is unique because there are not too many fresh, citrusy, unisex autumn perfumes. Immediately, this smells like omija (5-flavor berry). What I am actually smelling is likely the combination of Jeju Island lime, violet, rose, and lemon (not the juniper berry note). I can detect the leather on dry down. This is a warm, dry, and a tad fruity fragrance. If you would like moderate projection, spray this one generously. The review that found this perfume to smell synthetic struck me as interesting; I thought the exact opposite. When I sprayed the Elorea fragrances with my (Korean ) family, my mom said they smell so familiar and like home and very natural. I recognize some of these notes and overall "smells" from my time in Korea, too. Fire really smells like sipping a comforting berry drink to "prevent catching a cold" on a rainy autumn day.

Instantly reminds me of Fico di Amalfi. Very similar, but I actually might prefer this one if it lasted longer. The rose is a nice touch to what I was sure was fig.

I can't be the only person who thinks there's a resemblance between this and God of Fire (despite the lack lack of mango and ginger).

This is my least favorite scent from the sample pack, but it is also the most masculine so that might be why. I can easily envision this on a smartly dressed man, it is subtly assertive and refined. I agree with others below that there is something here i can't quite put my finger on. It kind of smells like a strong alcoholic beverage that got spilt on the counter and went unnoticed until a few days later. What would make this fragrance pop is toning down that sticky sweetness and ramping up the wood accords

I purchased a Discovery Set on IG for ELOREA and Fire is the first one I tried. Fire is a somewhat spicy, sweet and floral experience...I am not quite sure if I like it...it is pretty but there is a note in it that bothers me...perhaps it is the leather? Leather does tend to smell weird on my skin so I could attribute it to that fact? I am definitely going to give it another few tries but so far, these scents are very much quality scents and I am very impressed!

Whew this was a disappointing, smells like pickle juice soaked old book. I'm pretty much just getting the base notes, and the juniper and leather are giving craggled old man vibes. Lime is giving me the pickled note I think. It's certainly not exactly like any other men's cologne I've ever smelled though, it's super dry, with a dusty citrus, not as sharp as most masculine frags. A mild skinscent but not one of the laundry smelling ones. I usually like leather scents but I think the juniper and nutmeg are just pushing it too sour for me.

Not a safe blind buy. Leans very masculine and honestly, not a very attractive scent. Definitely not worth the asked price for a full bottle.

I got the sample box from Elorea which advertises in a very elegant, clean, polished way. I tried Water, Heaven, Earth, and finally Fire. I didn't like any of them. They smelled like they were created in a boardroom, by consensus, then tested on a computer program, and sprayed into a classroom of teenage girls who had to fill out what notes they liked. Only Fire had something slightly different. It dried into a powdery, clean, laundry scent. Stayed on me for 12 or more hours like a fabric softener. There was a nice coupon enclosed in the nice box, nicely packaged, with text that ties the line to the Korean culture. But it all has a very plastic feeling, like much of what comes out of South Korean culture these days with films, music, movies, television: very airbrushed, synthetic, robotic, without individuality or personality.

This scent blew me away. As a perfume connoisseur, it’s easy to get bored as you see certain fragrances smell similar, but when you find a scent that is so different you can’t help but appreciate it. I have never smelled a fragrance like this. It is so sexy and while it is labeled unisex and women would definitely love this, it does have a masc-leaning tone. And it’s very rare for me to love masc frags. The lime is the star here. It is zesty and bright, while the nutmeg and juniper berries give it a beautiful woodiness, reminiscent of sitting by a fire in autumn. The florals in this scent add to the complexity and make it so interesting!! Absolutely love on myself and my boyfriend.

Out of the 4, this is my favorite one. The scent is very unique and calming. It is not overpowered like some other men's fragrance. The only thing I dislike is the longevity. If anyone knows of any fragrance with a similar scent that lasts longer, lemme know. Thank you

A light lime and rose freshie with some woody and violet. Nice, but light and airy which usually isn't something I go for. Someone said "watery" and "gin and tonic" and I would agree. Not fire. No idea why its called fire.
