GENTLE SHOWER (잠비)

I like this scent and wear it often in summer when it’s hot. It smells very pleasant to me — the aroma is calming, leafy, wet, with a ginger-y exotic spicy note somewhere, which distinguishes it from typical “spa” scents out there. I would agree it’s unisex, the sweetness is subtle and natural if at all present. Gentle Shower is not bitter to me even in the opening, if only a little peppery, but gentle indeed, and I especially enjoy its watery accord when it’s humid. I would not call it a cooling scent, it is definitely summery and warm. Longevity is not bad and I can smell it on my shirt at the end of a day. It smells mostly like greenhouse — a bit earthy and pungent, but lusciously green and misty. Yes! A tropical green mist after the rain. A lovely scent to me. Other “green”summer favorites of mine are Saint Julep by Imaginary Authors, Jardin de Cythère by Hermès, Eau Réve d’Hubert by Sisley.

Initially I questioned this fragrance, but I ended up liking it quite a bit once I gave it a chance. Upon first spray, you get the clary sage which reads as a bitter, woody, orange. There was a note that initially smelled like wet mens room paper towels--this goes away fairly quickly, trust me on this. When it mellows, it is really quite pleasant. It is a slightly earthy, green fragrance, with floral undertones. It's difficult to describe. It's a masculine earthy scent with a hint of feminine paper products underneath. It has a unisex vibe to it. It leans more masculine at the opening because of the clary sage, but tames down to a more unisex as it dries down. It's a very mellow scent that I think would appear to a broad range of people, assuming they give it a chance to dry down before scrubbing it off.

The perilla as first layer is sharp green herbaceous smell just like the real crushed leaf. After a while, a beautiful floral scent, a bit of powdery stayed on. It last 5 hrs on my skin and for days on clothes. Some of my friend complained about the perilla funkiness (just like some people can taste coriander and some can't) but they can't denied the rosy musk scent that last on skin and clothes. Gentle Shower is a nicely done scent. For some reason, I keep coming back to it. From Elorea the forgotten word collection, this scent is the most unique and easy to wear. It's my all year round favorite scent at the moment.

Gentle Shower is such a beautiful fresh scent. It kind of reminds me of the smell when you walk past a Lush store. Like a natural, fresh, green, herbal soap with flowers. Or like being in a forest after a fresh rainfall. I get multiple compliments throughout the day when I wear this mixed with Silver Mountain Water by Creed. It’s bright, uplifting, and dewy. I really can’t get enough of it!

Aggressively medicinal opening of sage welcomes green and playful petitgrain. Don't be quick to judge the perfume by its opening; the sage lightens significantly before 10 minutes are up. It smells like walking through a field. The ginger soon becomes the heart of the perfume. It is not spicy. It smells like lifting the uncut root to your nose and sniffing it, or like dried unsweetened slivers. The labdanum lends a subtle, soft smokiness. This perfume never really gets powdery to me. At half an hour, the sage makes a reappearance. I find that summer heat allows the ginger and petitgrain to glow. The trio of labdanum, ginger, and petitgrain is very pleasing and makes up 80% of the wear. It has an apothecary feel to it from the bitterness and aromatics. If you enjoy Bon Parfumeur and Diptyque's lines, I think you'll like this one. (Side note: disregard the votes and smell it yourself. Multiple people spammed "Hate" votes for all Elorea's perfumes once they were added to the database)

It is a very powdery, clean fragrance that is leafy and citrusy without too much sweetness associated with citrus scents. Rather feminine leaning on its own, but also a very good layering base that could be unisex and is definitely versatile. To me, it is a scent I'd fall in love with if it were worn by someone else that I'd occasionally smell rather than something I'd wear personally. The projection is strong initially, then after 20ish minutes it just sits on your skin. You'd catch a nice whiff of it when it's in front of your nose or in close proximity. It lasts a long time for me personally. I could be out for a whole day and still smell it on my skin at the end of the day. I am neutral about powdery scents at best, but it is a fragrance I will think fondly of even if I don't implement it into my regular rotation.

I love the perilla 'mintiness' on initial spray with the ginger. I don't originally gravitate towards the more herbal scents but this one converted me. The drydown is a slightly more generic musk and the rose is very subtle. My biggest wish is that it would last longer. I personally prefer a more intimate sillage so I don't feel as self-conscious in crowded settings so the Elorea perfumes fit me in that regard. I'd say it stays on for a couple hours before turning into a very close skin scent for another 3 or 4 hours on me. Its uniqueness is enough for it to be in my daily rotation despite its not so great longevity

im always reminded of an asian ginger/ginseng candy when i spray it. its nostalgic to me with a herbal candy feel when it dries down. i usually am not a fan of spicy or gourmand-y scents but the ginger isnt too overpowering but does provide a nice kick to sharpen the sweetness of the florals. i find it to be a peculiar scent that keeps me wanting another whiff but also remains pleasant with the amber florals, not as feminine as i find other elorea scents to be

My first impression was green shoots sprouting from the earth and fresh air. That was what I smelled on a test strip. On my skin I got a green tea scent (not listed in notes), more grass, and a lingering petrichor scent. Rain on a sidewalk. That scent reminded me a bit of Clean Rain or Demeter Dirt. Does not last, but does not need to for what it brings to the table. Springtime rain is fleeting, so this scent captures that well.

My favorite of the bunch (depending on the development stage). It's not unique but a little more character than half of the brand.

woody and humid, like being in a sauna — love

I get a strong whiff of ginger/ginseng as well as something sharp and green upon initial spray- almost like a green tea sachet meets lemon-verbena. The drydown i liked a lot more because it got a lot softer and the vetiver, oakmoss and musk really have an opportunity to come through. I feel that the rose and orris are a bit obscured by the strong green notes and citrus, honestly i feel like the name “squeaky clean shower” would’ve been more apt, but a very well balanced unisex composition imo!

Be prepared for a whiff of clary sage (which to me smells bitter) right away, but it mellows out in a few minutes and this becomes a fresh and comforting scent. Some may feel it leans masculine because of the burst of clary sage, but stick with it. It is petrichor adjacent. When the clary sage settles down, it is easier to wear. It is not a beast, it’s not supposed to be. If you give it a chance, it might transport you to a field of greens in Korea. I enjoyed the journey!

Light boring generally smells like perfume. Bit of a mud soup. Everything elorea seems to make aside from jang is way too fresh and light and most prominently boring as hell. If you spent your childhood getting a 4.0 gpa , if you work in an office, or if you are so terrified of having a unique opinion you never speak up for yourself in group settings this brand is perfect for you!

This scent is very beautiful! I think towards the end it really reminds me of the clean and warm skin smell of L'eau Papier by Diptique. The scent journey is really interesting - the top ginger note was super sharp and almost citrusy. As it settled — on my skin — I got a lot of the vetiver note. Out of the bunch of the ELOREA fragrances I tried, this one lasted the longest.
