Banana Pudding

This is a lovely fragrance. I can't smell the bananas. Or the vanilla or caramel. But it's lovely.

This is a Petey floral iris bomb. I don’t smell any banana pudding. Or banana, or whipped cream, or vanilla, or anything else really. Ok, maybe a tiny bit of musk I can pick up. Reminds me of the smell of walking into a boutique soap store full of handmade soaps or something. It’s a nice powdery clean floral so it’s great if that is what you’re looking for, but it isn’t giving banana pudding out anything gourmand at all. This whole tea party collection is very “perfumey” and the fragrances really don’t fit the names IMO. I am glad I got a sample set and didn’t blind buy. These are NOT blind buy safe!

I get a very soapy profile I honestly don’t smell any of these notes listed except maybe a powdered iris. Where’s the banana and caramel?!

Smells powdery and weird. Not the banana pudding your expecting. Nothing like a real banana pudding.

NOT a banana nor a pudding fragrance. Straight up iris and musk, no caramel, vanilla, or banana. Not a fan at all.

Banana Pudding is one of the most beautiful gourmands I have ever smelled. I had the opportunity to meet Jessi, the owner and perfumer of Elysian, and hearing the story behind this fragrance made me appreciate it even more. She told me it was inspired by her grandmother’s homemade banana pudding, but also by the memories of sitting on the porch together surrounded by the flowers her grandmother had planted. Once you know that, the fragrance makes perfect sense. This is not your typical synthetic banana scent. It smells like real banana pudding made with creamy vanilla pudding and fresh banana slices, just as it traditionally is. The banana is soft and natural, while the delicate florals add an airy, nostalgic feeling that keeps it from becoming overly sweet. If you’re looking for a loud candy banana fragrance, this isn’t it. This is a memory bottled up. It’s comforting, beautifully balanced, and one of the most unique banana fragrances I’ve ever experienced.

Well, what a disappointment. It smells like Maja talc powder. Through and through. If you know, you know; but if you don’t: it smell like grandma at bingo night. No custard, no banana, no waffle cone, nothing. I am seriously thinking I got a different scent in the banana bottle.
