Charmante

Received it as a gift for galentines, and have purchased it again since then. a fruity floral that dries down to a sensual sandalwood and amber scent. perfect for a brunch with my girls or even a date night. a perfect addition to my floral fruity Frangrances.

Charmante is such a sexy and empowering fragrance. She’s warm, woody, and floral yet sweet. This is definitely one of my go-to’s from Elysian Parfums.

Sebastian "The Perfume Guy" did a review on Cafe Avellana by Elysian Perfumes, in which he raved about the fragrance. Several months back, I blind-bought a 50 ml bottle of Cafe Avellana. Cafe Avellana completely transformed me, changed my immediate world. I was awestruck by just about EVERYTHING regarding the fragrance. The Elysian Website allows customers to place together sample sets. So, I chose six fragrances that spoke to me and I ordered a sample set! I purchased six fragrances, each in a 3ml vial with atomizer: Blackwood & Bourbon, LaBelle Vanille, Charmante, Temple of Echos, Sombre Douceur and Black Gardenia. Not much to say here. My experience with all the Elysian Perfumes is the fragrances perform EXACTLY as the listed notes state. Charmante is a fruity floral fragrance that opens with clear pear & apricot notes. There is something a bit soapy and uber-clean, almost spa-like in the opening. Aldehyde's lift the perfume off the skin. The opening is a bit astringent and fizzy, almost like opening a can of flavored seltzer water. I imagine the fizziness is the champagne accord. The perfume's development is very pretty and extremely feminine. In short time, this fragrance morphs into a sweet, veil-like, wispy, ethereal cloak of florals (perfect jasmine), some vanilla, a bit of fruit and blonde woods. This fragrance wears VERY close to the skin with fair longevity (2-3 hrs) and limited silage. Charmante is (possibly) my third favorite fragrance from the sampler. It falls just behind Blackwood & Bourbon, Temple of Echoes and/or Sombre Douceur.

I had high hopes for this fragrance but unfortunately I was quite disappointed. This opens with an extremely strong pink pepper. I like pink pepper but I don't like overdoses of it like it is in the opening of this fragrance. I know pink pepper isn't listed as one of the notes but I think it was used in the champagne Accord to create that kind of fizzy pop smell and I'm kind of finding that I don't really care for that in fragrances. As that fizzy champagne pink peppery pop fades The fragrance becomes better and more wearable but it still isn't one of my favorites of the line it's just a meh for me. It becomes a basic apricot shampoo vanilla amber and Amber woods fragrance. The opening and the base of this fragrance is what ruins it for me. The middle part of the fragrance is actually quite pleasant It has like a toasted almond vibe about it mixing with the vanilla and the apricot and the pear fruity vibe but the top opening is just two peppery and poppy, fizzy. And the base is just too basic it's very heavy with Amber woods. I've smelled this scent profile so many times before that I'm quite tired of it. I am sure this is a big seller for the line. The reason why you smell this everywhere is because it sells. It was the least interesting and original of the feminine fragrances that I tried in this line. If you would want something in the same scent profile that cost a lot less money but is way better try white diamonds night by Elizabeth Taylor that has the same apricot patchouli woody sweet almost gourmet powdery vibe that this tried to succeed with but WDN just does it in a better way and it's a lot less expensive. Personally, I just think I don't like Champagne in perfume, everyone I try bugs me. I don't like drinking it either. I better stay away from it in the future. I have a friend that will enjoy this sample, I will give it to her.

Pear blossom, champagne, and apricot opening. This is super weak, this is extrait? Then, nutty and floral, almond and jasmine. The drydown begins as amber, vanilla, and woods. The final drydown is softer vanilla, woods, and amber. So weak its a nonstarter. I smell a remnant of fruit on the strip?

Smells oddly soapy and spicy to me, like some sort of men's bar soap.

She’s very sensual. Stimulating. Warm. Sweet. Like a cashmere fruity sweet. But not too much fruit. She’s lit under the moon light. Makes you feel well connected to your divine dark feminine. She lingers. Amber is a quiet influence here. First spray pear and vanilla does something to your soul. Then she dances before she settles into this amber vanilla ambience. She is by far my favorite perfume on this planet. I wear her because she’s apart of my soul. Love love love!

Charmante is sexy & warm, actually it’s intoxicating, although, I think it would wear better on someone other than myself because for some reason theres a spiciness that comes through on my skin, but it smelled amazing on my sister! It’s warm & fruity, but not overly so, with a fizzy champagne note & warm almond.

I get a tropical fruity floral. Spraying on the skin it comes alive! Warm, sensual, sweet. I don’t perceive this to be fresh at all, more like an evening fragrance.

Received this perfume and commented about specific things need to improve on. Why delete my review? Shady business practice.
