Vanilla Rooibos Tea Latte

Just received a sample of this and something about it it’s making me think moon magic or snow moon magic. It’s quite lovely. I’m not great at describing scents but I definitely get a tea vibe and I’m all about a tea vibe. I would describe it as a little bit spicy and herby, but also creamy. This would be great in winter or cold fall. I could also see this being a good bedtime scent on a chilly evening.

This smells exactly like a vanilla rooibos tea latte, which is one of my favorite things, but it smells so exact that I’m honestly a little scared. Causing an existential crisis. Do I want to smell exactly like a slightly obscure tea latte? Is that who I am? I like it. I think. It’s exactly what I wanted.

I've never had rooibos tea so bear that in mind. But to me this makes me think of walking through fog on an autumn evening with a faint smell of wood smoke in the air.

I wanted a smooth, photorealistic Rooibos tea scent. I was especially intrigued about the vanilla, caramel and milk notes. I would say I was moderately disappointed, or rather, misinformed. I should have paid closer attention to the scent description: The fragrance is indeed very smokey and herbal. On me, it smells strongly like incense. Especially the opening was very heavy and spicy to me. In fact, it reminded me strongly of my Catholic grandmothers' apartment, with all the saints on the wall, a lot of stuff standing around, a little stuffy, but homey. In that sense, it was quite nostalgic and crazy how accurate it smells. The scent description is actually quite accurate (smokey, herbal, then sweet, almond, nutty). In terms of notes, the cedar wood and tolu balsam are strong from the beginning, and don't really fade either. As it dries down, it gets a little more smooth, and the vanilla, honey and tonka bean start to come through more. I do not smell any milk, aside from a vague smoothness. I do smell some almond, though, as other commenters have said it has a more medicinal quality due to the scent combination. The combination of smells does come out to a tea smell, just a spicy, smokey one. It also doesn't smell like the Rooibos teas I have had, but that could be me. I think in the autumn, it can be a great smell, as it does pull warm and cozy. Just be prepared for the smokiness, which I did not expect from a tea latte scent. If you are looking for a sweet incense-adjacent fragrance, this could potentially also work great.

Smells like vicks rub and kinda minty.

This is the one I wanted to love most and I am so dissappointed. I was already hesitant of it on the strip, but when I put it on my skin I immediately wanted to scrub it off. There was no journey just straight dissappointment. I get no tea - instead I get a rather screechy caramel, medicinal almond, a little bit of soft honey and the tolu balsam that I think is just throwing everything off. I wouldn't consider a safe blind buy and I would highly recommend testing before buying the full bottle.
